As a former survivor of a building collapse, lemme tell you what it's like..

Most of the effort will have to come from the people trapped than rescue workers ,(as per naija). The biggest scare is when they move ther bulldozer around and rocks from top falls on you, you just pray for luck while you lie there.

A good rescue team will instead of using bulldozer they'd first send in a pipe than transmit, cold air and oxygen into the collapse spot to supply air, then they measure thickness of the rocks, areas with light thickness are drilled and an opening formed where they go in and build mini pillars to hold the building from dropping further, they read heat waves of place to see signature of human movement and then target those areas.
