llbhuds:I am sorry but what do you do? can you read and write? you just showed her academic page with over 80 publications and you are still asking if an academic of over 80 publications whould have become associate professor if she wasnt firstlady? what is wrong with you people? Her acahievements are more than enough to earn professorship anywhere in the world. Why has politics, cheating, corruption so crowded your thought process? |
Kaa4:You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. First, anyone in academics knows it is standard practice to backdate professorial and associate professorial promotions. All a reasonable person needs to do is to look at her academic contributions. Check scopus and reseachgate, they are there for everyone to see and understand. 86 publications, over 200 thousand reads and 186 citation. This is more than enough to earn professorship anywhere in the world but your intelectual lazziness will not even allow you take a few minutes to find out before talking about what you know nothing about. You are are always qick to project your twisted minds unto everything. No sense of objectivity whatsoever. Just because if you were in her position, you will influence things and try to earn what you dont deserve doesnt mean everyone does. I am a doctor in academics and I know what it means to achieve those numbers. it is sheer hardwork! She has been an academic all her life and now she is firstlady but you want to use her being firstlady to discredit her academic work? what sort of people are you guys? Come to think that you guys shout day and night baout your leaders when you aren't any better? what a shame indeed. |
Nackzy:If you are married you will understand men respect themselves. Men respect other men irrespective of the age. It is women that behave that way. It is not a man's thing to dictate to other men how to run their homes. A woman is more likely to behave that way. |
megastu:My brother, it brings tears to the eyes. Our young people are way worse than our leaders. Even the most basic of things available on the internet, they will rather remain ignorant while promoting the same practices and attitudes that brought Nigeria to its knees. You just think of anything wrong and you can be sure to see Nigerians encouraging it. |
beejay85:What is wrong with you people? Steve is literarily what comes to mind when you think of business airplane business and rubbishing him for speaking the truth is indeed disgraceful. Man has been in the business for over 40 years. Well known by everyone in the industry. All you need to do to cure your ignorance is use the same internet you use to project your ignorance to learn. If you want to learn, you will know steve talks a lot about aviation on tiktok. Man has literarily mentored many via tiktok. Just google Steve Varsano and learn. Everything you need to know is there. Do you people not have a simple sense of pride of your nation? No sense of decency? It is all about making money and nothing else? You think Steve Varsano become the man he is by lying and inflating prices in multiples like you are supporting? Why support this kind of behaviour and at the same time complain about lack of jobs? how do you expect business to thrive in such markets? |
beejay85:Steve Varsano, a global business leader in the business airplane industry is chasing clout? what do we not get from you confused Nigerian young people. When the likes of Steve Varsano correct you, you take it and learn from it. Let me break it down to you as you are ignorant: The opinions of certain people when it comes to business environment matters a lot. Steve calling a Nigerian out for lying is bad for the already poor image of Nigeria as a place for business. People considering doing business in Nigeria will take note and see the way Nigerians themselves respond to this and they will see most Nigerians aren't any different from Ola( all you need to do is read comments on here) |
Alexis11:This is simply a case of seeing something wrong and saying it. You can easily check these things online but most of you, even though you went to school, are uneducated. Not everyone is as gullible as Nigerians and see lies and do nothing about it. The same internet you are using to accept lies can be used to get yourself educated. Use it wisely. By the way, Steve Varsano is a global business leader when it comes to business jet industry. As He is a global business leader, his opinions matter a whole lot. No one will come do business in Nigeria if they think all we do is tell lies. Learn to grow up beyond petty foolishness. |
breathcutter:and how has the way it is done here made the country progress? How has it made Nigeria a good place for business? How has it made investors come to Nigeria. 2023 alone, do you know how many global brands have left Nigeria? Young people complain everytime but support anti-business behaviour and yet blame the government for everything. Steve Varsano is an higlhly respected global business leader when it comes to Business Jets. If someone like that correct you, you take it and learn from it. Just look at the comments on nairaland and you will see the reason Nigeria is in trouble. It has youths incapable of reason. |
Taylor92:You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Ondo is Nigeria’s fifth highest oil producing state with capacity for 60,000BPD. |
o123456789:Lmao, don’t be ridiculous, go give yourself to learning. If my 5th year medical students say this I will send them out of my round immediately. Adult enuresis is NOT mainly caused by STDs. Let us assume his is from STD, erythromycin is NOT the most effective medication. You actually have to take a proper history to decide which STD is likely and investigate it further. It is only an herbalist that treats all conditions with one. Summary is, stop talking nonsense and stop giving wrong advice to innocent people who may not see the foolishness in your advice. Only cure of your ignorance is to give yourself to learning. |
o123456789:He should buy antibiotics to treat enuresis? Where do they get you people from? And you actually went to school? |
Adeshi:You can get across. |
ganisucks:What are you even talking about? What has Clinton family got to do with Abacha and NSA. These children won’t cease to amaze one. Listen, Gwarzo wasn’t even appointed by Abacha in the first place. For Jonathan, there were 2 more substantive NSAs after Are. You mean Jonathan lost despite Are not being NSA when he sought re-election because He asked Are to serve in acting capacity for a month before he hired Andrew Aziza to the position?Stop embarrassing yourself. Go give yourself to learning. |
ganisucks:How old are you? What insult? The cornerstone of military in a democratic setting is civilian control. You mention sane climes when it suits but never look at the same climes when you spew your ignorance. Ismaila Gwarzo was NSA between 1993 and 1998. He was a retired police officer like Ribadu. Heavens did not fall. Also Kayode held the same post for a month in acting capacity under Jonathan. Heavens didn’t fall. So what is the insult exactly? |
linearity:What tests help you anticipate excessive bleeding please ? Many of you be acting like you know something about what you know absolutely nothing about. Sad part is you spew the nonsense so confidently. I have been a doctor for 10 years now and now a senior doctor, a Director and I will appreciate your shedding more light on this. The whole news is sad and unfortunate but these things happen even in the best of places. I have had the opportunity to practice in the best centres in the world and I can confirm that to you. So complex is the human body that you can not always predict what will happen. Seemingly simple procedures can turn complex on getting in. Anyone with actual clinical experience and not just Nairaland pseudo expert can attest to this simple fact. These encounters happen daily especially for those in the surgical specialties. On student doctors operating, where is that done? That your likes actually believe that tells all that needs to be known. I trained in Nigeria by self and I know this isn’t possible. Suggesting that MDT was convened because the hospital knew they were wrong is just nonsensical and silly. I am sure it came from a place of ignorance. MDT(which I have been part of several occasions and I have chaired a few times) are constituted on every complex cases to help the team identify lessons the managing team can learn from each case. Each hospital has its way of doing it but it typically involves what is called a significant event analysis. It is standard practice all over the world. That the relative was called to meet the MDT team is due to him wanting clarifications which he is entirely entitled to. |
Mayeldah:You bringing ethnicity into it Showa you are the bigot here. See, if you see your self talking and thinking about something even when it is not relevant to the issue at hand, that thing is your stronghold and you need to watch it. |
Obrigardo:Definitely not beyond them. Their idiocy knows no bound. |
Thegamingorca:I am a senior doctor in the U.K. myself and I know there are several routes to leave even with provisional licence. They can write exams and apply for foundation training. The government is aware of how uninformed our people are and like to keep them occupied with things like this. It is the one jubilating that is making me laugh the most. |
Rossikk:I am still waiting for how many people the vaccine has killed. |
Obrigardo:It is acting like they know when they know nothing and even in the face of professionals who actually know telling them otherwise that makes me laugh the most. Each time I need a laugh, I just come on here to see their comments. I was involved as part of the Oxford vaccine research group and worked on the frontline and even got the vaccine very early myself. The moment the U.K. government made it available to health workers, I had it and it didn’t kill me. Multiple studies upon studies published in reputable journals showed that but the half educated people buying using bonus airtime from etisalat and Mtn knows better. What a world we live in. |
Georgejeez:Or yea, after the 5 years they won’t leave yea? What about correcting why they’re leaving? The people passing the laws, do they get their healthcare in Nigeria? If only the average people of Nigeria were reasonable but they’re clearly not. |
Okorietitus:They are fools? Ever heard of nurses leaving in droves? Ever heard of the reason why bank transactions aren’t reliable and you are not certain if your transfer will go or not because IT people are leaving in large numbers? Now think about it, those people didn’t have their fees subsidised too? Now go back to your comments, still makes sense to you? You see the foolery in your comment now? |
Rossikk:You are not ashamed of yourselves reading your comments 2 years down the line? How many people has the vaccine killed so far in Nigeria? It is the ignorant forming intelligence that gets me laughing all the time. |
austinvsb:It doesn’t mitigate brain drain in any way. There is no evidence of that! Uk has the longest postgraduate specialty training and has the largest number of doctors leaving to other countries among the G8. What journal has published evidence to back up what you are typing or all of a sudden everyone is a specialist in medical education now? I will like you to share those evidences. How is it hard to put things right in the country? How is it hard to demand for better working conditions from the government? How hard is it to speak in one voice and ask for better pay? How hard is it to develop other sectors as healthcare is multisectoral in nature? All these are well studied ways to mitigate brain drain.Nigerians will not demand that from government but form having ideas on Nairaland once issue arise. |
Is04970:The nurses leaving in droves and the bank IT staff who don’t even need to write any exams leaving and making our banking system less secure we’re not trained with tax payers money yea? You people make me laugh. |
austinvsb:Stop saying what you don’t know. Better to be quiet. I am a senior doctor myself. No such rules exists in the us. Most of the colleagues in the gulf states are American trained. Very few specialties have 7 residency programmes(neuro, trauma and orthopaedics) in the us. Most are 3 to 5 years. Go get your facts right first. |
Is04970:And what happened Ed to nurses, IT people moving in droves and other professionals? Their own education isn’t subsidised? You people are funny |
.. |
I will very strongly advise you to see a qualified doctor close to you for a proper review. If you want, you can contact me for general advise but I will not prescribe for you. |
Rossikk:Your insulting words to someone you dont even know says all one needs to know about you. How is the great reset going by the way? You need an education. |
You dont deserve a response. Your insulting words to someone who never insukted you says all about you. For the purpose of not allowing you mislead people. We still give the DPT vaccine in the UK. The same goes for most western nations. The technology for which the vaccine was based has been common knowledge for at least 15 years. It is not a new technology. The Russians and Chinese you talked about developed their own vaccines based on the same technology. By the way, 2 years down the line, how many pople has the vaccine killed? you need to get an education. |
your IELTS and the pass of the two exams that are the Koko requirement to prove that indeed you are a doctor that can practice in UK unsupervised.
