Foreign Affairs › Re: At UN, US And Iran Invoke 'self-defense' For Military Confrontation by luluman: 12:00pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
Seunaj05: This fight is already finished nau. Its Trump vs Iran vs Democrats 2:0 in favour of the Potus! Well, I knew that Iran would make mouth to protect it's ego and then stage a downplayed/watered retaliatory attack. I bet you that no country wants to go to war with the United States, not even Russia (And if not Russia then it can never be anyone else) As for China, China would rather keep doing its bussiness than participate in any war at all. In any war involving the United States, China will always be in the middle because it needs the United States to grow its economy more than the whole of the rest of the world, the same way Iran needs the US to grow it's economy. I lost sympathy for the Iranians when I heard that the Obama administration gave Iran 150 Billion dollar! earlier ceased and an additional 1.8 billion dollars in cash as part of the peace deal initiated by the United States. Guess what, instead of Iran to judiciously use this money to grow its economy and provide livelihood for it's people, they went and use the money to buy armouries and weapons of mass destruction when their citizens are hungry! This singular act makes it clear that Iran values conflicts more than human lifes and livelihood. Did we hear trump mentioned in his speech that Iranians chanted death to America the same day they recieved billions of dollars from America? I think that if they were not going to say thank you America, then they should have rejected the fund in all humility. In my own opinion, America did try it's best to be diplomatic before unleashing its capability on Iran. I don't know why the world's diplomatic minds are trying to hit hard on Trump for sending a strong message to the people who have refused to accept an hand of friendship and would not stop launching offensive attacks on America and Americans. Dude is only doing his job fearlessly unlike an Obama. Let's be frank, Iran do not understand negotiations and diplomacy, the language they understood of course is WAR! My prayer is that may any country such as Iran never become the world power, otherwise the whole world will be soaked in blood. If world power ever leave U.S I fear for the worst o |

chigoizie7: Hmmmm
Some people think Iran will only be the ones with casualties?
US go hear am.
This is a war propelled by so many things, revenge, religion, etc.
Iranians so much loved the man that was openly assassinated. If they tell trump now to drop the evidence that the man killed is a terrorist, will he?
Trump perceived him as a terrorist and killed him, they have set a precedence that any citizen or government official of any country can be labeled anything and be killed anywhere in the world. because the world kept quiet to this. I am not saying that he is not a terrorist. Neither am I saying that Iran will win US. But we know US involvement in so many countries like Libya and other countries.just recently, we are hearing about their involvement in stopping the annihilating Boko Haram.
Iran cannot just go to war with US, ee get reason, ee get wetin de give them moral.

Koval12: I expect Trump to react within the next 24 hours. He had promised to hit Iran so hard and fast should they retaliate. But that will be very foolish of him. Americans have more to lose if this crisis escalates beyond this.
Since there's no casualty, no American life was lost, I expect Trump not to strike back and de escalate this conflict. It's going to do the world a whole lot of good and Americans importantly.
NB: Putin might have just saved us from WWIII All American allies are pissed with Trump because he didn't notify them before attacking Soleimani, China are now tactically backing Russian, and Russia is Iran's biggest ally.
It's a win win for Iran IMO You just sit and think things will play out like you want? Prove your claims of China and Russia now. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US Airbase In Iraq Hit By Rockets by luluman: 6:38pm On Jan 08, 2020 |
N2B2: Other presidents had the option to dispatch Soleimani, but they forewent it because US already had Iran in a good place.
Mr. Impeached could not seat still because new impeachment evidence against him was coming to light by the hour, so he went to do what he predicted in 2011 that Obama would do to get re-elected: declare war on Iran.
Iran is three times bigger than Iraq, and US spent more than a decade warring Iraq. Anyone who says It'll be easy to wipe out Iran must be eating a plate of half-fried akara with a can of Black Bullet. You are so outdated and uninformed. If you use the old status of US in war times judge their ability now you better go back to school. Iran is NO MATCH one bit for US. |

RealLordZeus: Comprehension is now becoming a rare trait The guy was sensible enough to state that Americans are the true origin of terrorism in the world and you are saying something entirely different. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Ghadaffi and others, I hope they are guilty of forcing people to convert to Islam! 2020 is a trying times for President Trump and the only way for him to overcome November election is to start a war as it has been observed in history that all American president that start a war in their first term were able to secure a second term, war provides a sense of unity and this will be the rallying force needed for Trump to win the election.
Pls this is not Buhari, APC or PDP issue So is it your own issue? |

An average bigoted Christian on nairaland lies 90% of the time. When Muslims conquered Spain they never tried forcing everyone to convert, the moment Christians recaptured the country, the began killing off Muslims till there were no Muslims in Spain. Muslim once ruled India yet till this date the Hindus are the majority, no Muslim army every set foot in Indonesia but today it is the largest Muslim country. Without lies, you bigots have nothing to offer, you accuse Muslims of crimes your fellow bigots wage against the rest of humanity.

NwekeUG: IgbereTV reports that the #RevolutionNow activist, Omoyele Sowore has begun a nationwide "Buy and Read Punch Newspaper" campaign on Thursday.
A member of Sowore's #BuyReadAPunch Campaign team who spoke on the condition of anonymity to IgbereTV reporters, said that the reason for the campaign was because President Muhammadu Buhari's administration stoped giving advertorials to the Punch Newspaper after the media house criticised Buhari's style of leadership.
Punch recently addressed President Buhari as 'Major General', criticising him as being autocratic.
As a show of solidarity, Sowore and his supporters urged the Nigerian citizens to always patronise Punch Newspaper.
Recall that Sowore was released on stringent bail conditions on 24th December, 2019 after being detained for four months by the DSS.
