On Saturday, the 30th of July, 2022, Peter Obi Liberation Team (POLIT) and others in some states of the federation embarked on fitness and road walk sensitization on the need for all (especially the Nigerian youths) to get their PVC as to ensure they cast their votes for the right candidate in the forth coming 2023 general election, considering the fact that PVC registration, revalidation and information update is slated to end on the 31st of July 2022.

Lead by the state coordinators, Peter Obi Liberation Team (POLIT) in Anambra, Lagos, Imo, Ogun State and others took the sensitization to their streets using various means of communication; where POLIT Anambra State Chapter in style, did a fitness exercise before embarking on a road walk while carrying a banner with the theme; "operation show your PVC". Lagos State Chapter, in white & black did a road walk Sensitization carrying placards with various inscriptions such as; "INEC give us PVC". Imo State Chapter, in their POLIT designed and inscribed T-Shirts carried out the road walk sensitization with a bus and public address system. Ogun State Chapter used a car and public address system to carryout theirs. In same vane, Edo State Chapter (carrying placards written; "cvr.inecnigeria.org), and others embarked on theirs. It was all centered on telling the masses, especially those in the grassroot areas, on the importance of the forth coming election for all, and thus, the need for those who are yet to get their PVC to do so as there is no more time.

The Nollywood actress took to her Instagram page to announce the birth of her child. In a post, where she shared photos of her pregnancy shoot and also the delivery of her baby, she wrote: “Dear Emerald-Chizaram-Ezerika born 20th of July 2022.

A 22-year-old woman had no idea she was pregnant until she went to the toilet, thinking she had a stomach ache, and saw a baby in the toilet bowl when she tried to flush. Lucy Jones, a trainee flight attendant thought her stomach ache was period pain after feeling unwell back in March. But while in bed the next morning, the 22-year-old said her tummy "flipped" and she dashed to the loo.

While using the toilet, she said she heard a "crash", looked down and discovered the baby she didn't know she was having.

The first-time-mum claims she was terrified as she had no idea she was expecting given she had no symptoms throughout her pregnancy. She added that she took contraception daily and still had her periods.

She also said she had a medical examination when she would have been eight months pregnant and two pregnancy tests came back negative.

She said she worked 70-hour per week, drank often and went clubbing around 15 times throughout her pregnancy, including just three days before she gave birth.

Now that her daughter, Ruby is four months old, Lucy said she's taken to motherhood like a "duck to water" and wouldn't change anything for the world.

Lucy, from Bristol, said: "I had no bump, no sickness and had a period every month.

"I had two negative pregnancy tests, because of my new cabin crew job I had to take them for that. I would have been eight months pregnant when I went for my medical and did the pregnancy tests.

"He [the doctor] pressed all down my stomach and body, and he suspected nothing. I was still taking the pill. I took it every day and had been on it for six or seven years.

"I went up one dress size after Christmas and then I went back down again, and I put that down to eating and drinking a lot."

Lucy claims she received her fit to fly certificate the month before she gave birth.

She said she'd often work long hours as a pub manager and had her last shift just ten days before having Ruby, Daiilystar reports.

Lucy said: "I did a week's training [for cabin crew] came home for two days and that's when she magically arrived."

Veteran actress Mrs Oluwasolamipe Onayiga, who played the role of Ireti in Kunle Bantefa’s popular soap Fuji House of Commotion, is dead.

She died on Monday 18/07/2022 after a brief illness.

Her husband, Pastor Tosin Onayiga, confirmed the incident.

He said she died around 3:45am on Monday.

She died in Warri, Delta State around 11 pm on Sunday, a source who pleaded anonymity said on Monday morning.
Ameh was said to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly collapsed.

She was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but passed on before they arrived at the facility.
The Nation gathered that several movie stars have been trooping the facility on Monday morning to see her remains.

Some Christian youths and elders in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna state joined Muslims to clear grass and get rid of trash at a mosque used for Eid praying during Sallah.

One of the Christian volunteers, Mr Daniel Bitrus who spoke to Daily Trust, said they carried out the exercise to promote tolerance and better understanding among the adherents of the two religions.

“We came here to support our brothers towards cutting down the grass and to also clear the dirt in the mosque and its surrounding, with the aim of promoting peace and unity,” he said.

“The exercise, which lasted for two days (Saturday and Sunday), enabled many Christians and Muslims to dialogue, exchange hand of friendship and talk on better ways to promote religious tolerance and better understanding among the adherents of the two religions. We hope to continue doing this every year to promote religious tolerance in the area."

Responding, Secretary, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Kachia local government chapter, Mallam Ibrahim Tasiu, expressed delight over the large turnout of Christians during the exercise.

He disclosed that the Christian youths got to the Eid ground for the exercise before Muslims arrived.

He commended the gesture, noting that it is the first of its kind in the history of that part of Southern Kaduna, which has experienced ethno-religious crisis.

Ibrahim called on Muslims and Christians to live in peace and harmony.

Movie producer JJC Skillz has revealed that he and his wife Funke Akindele have been separated.

He made this announcement in an Instagram post on Thursday morning, admitting that their marriage has been having issues for over two years.

JJC Skillz confirmed that the “Jenifa” actress had asked him to leave her house and refused to speak with him.

He noted that their marriage was beyond repair, and he is seeking ways for them to co-parent and manage their joint business.

On this note, the attention of the National Judicial Council (NJC) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) have been drawn and called upon by Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria to probe the corruption allegations levelled against Justice Tanko Muhammad.

The statement signed by HURIWA National Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko stated that the CJN should step down as Chairman of the NJC for the investigation to be conducted.

Considering the fact that the former CJN, Walter Onnoghen, was removed on a controversial note following allegations against him which were probed by both the NJC and the CCT, the group noted that it will be injustice if the NJC and CCT fails to investigate and subsequently probe the CJN.

Recall that Justice Walter Onnoghen was forced to resign as the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), before Justice Tanko Muhammad took over affairs as the CJN.

Nigerian billionaire and UBA chairman, Tony Onyemachi Elumelu, once shared with Dr Reuben Abati of Arise TV that his first daughter, Oge, is his successor and the heiress that will take over his global empire once he retires, and he is grooming her to that responsibility.

Today, Oge, who is studying economics at the London School of Economics, accompanied her dad to Brussels for the European Development Day session where he spoke on "Sustainable Finance at the Heart of Global Gateway."

In the words of Tony, "Oge was my chief of staff today" keeping to the words that he told Dr. Reuben.

1. Committing Crime for Her

Firstly, you should know the kind of lady you are dating, and if it happens that she is the type that makes you spend more than you can afford, don't be tempted to go steal, defraud or commit any sort of crime to make money just to impress her. If her love for you is for real, she should understand when you have and when you don't, accept you like that and not pressurise you into solving her financial needs.

2. Forgetting Your Goals

Do not abandon the pursuit of your life's goal because of a lady. If for instance you've had it all planned out to study abroad, do not stop chasing such a goal because your girl isn't comfortable with it. Just unless along the line it happened that it didn't work out due to reason(s) beyond control and not just because your girl disapproves; otherwise, if she can't wait, free her.

3. Compromising Your Needs for Hers.

You really should not go hungry just to please somebody's daughter who you are not even sure will be with you forever. There is love in sharing, so it is very okay to share what you have, but never give it all just to please or impress her while you are left with nothing. Sometimes it is okay to be protectively and positively stingy (frugal). Don't keep eating the onions while she keeps eating the suya against your will just for the sake of making her happy.

4. Paying Her School Fees at Your Detriment

Unless she is your wife, you should not think of paying her school fees. There is no problem supporting her education in any little way you can, if you can, but catering for it all is a 'Do Not'. If you think otherwise, then don't cry if one day, she leaves you for someone else after all your efforts. People evolve.

5. Disregarding Your Own Relatives

Hope you know only your family will be there for you if peradventure she wakes up one morning and decides to leave or breaks up with you. So, it's a no-no to sever family ties to appease her. Some women can be manipulative when they've seen it that you would do anything to keep them. Some will try to make you calumniate your relatives.

6. Taking Blood Oath

No matter how much you love her or how much you both claim to love each other, please avoid blood oath as not to mar your future when feelings and intentions changes. I mean, what if you wake up one morning and realize she isn't the one for you or she wakes up one day feeling so? Blood oath with anyone is a serious covenant that must be kept in tandem to why it was done, and could have serious consequence if not kept as promised. So, it should never come to mind just because you are afraid to loose her or you both think you can never leave each other.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola (aka Portable) has been asked by the Ogun state Police Command to surrender himself to any nearest police station in Ogun state, or he will be declared wanted by the Police.

In the report, Portable was said to have ordered his boys to beat up a helpless man for sending messages to his wife. The Jungle Justice was also recorded on camera and the video posted on social media. According to the story on Daily Post, the unidentified victim was said to have sent a message to Portable's wife, asking her to advise her husband to stay away from some of his friends because they do not have glory.

Sadly, Portable took some of his boys to the man's place and got him beaten up mercilessly and the video of the dastard act was also shared on social media which eventually caught the attention of the Police.

While reacting to the unfortunate incident, according to the report on Daily Post, the Ogun State Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi condemned the actions of the artiste. The police officer went on to say that Portable is supposed to be a role model to the youth, but his actions are unfortunate.

In conclusion, the Ogun state Police has advised the singer to surrender himself to any nearest police station around him or else he will be declared wanted.
