Politics / Re: Fresh Crisis Looms In APC As Atiku, Tinubu Battle 4 Chairmanship Of Party’s Bot by lurther: 8:59am On Jul 05, 2015
Atiku will get it. You know how?

The National executive committee of APC comprises mostly northerners. The Nec comprises of the president, the senate president, the House of rep speaker and all the governors and state chairmen. Now this is the maths.

The senate president and House of rep speaker will vote Atiku as his boys. Apc has more than 15 governors from the north and only four in the south west. All the northern governors will vote for Atiku while the remaining four south-west governors will vote for Tinubu.
Then comes the state chairmen of the party. All the 30 chairmen that went to pay the senate president homage will all vote for Atiku while all the the 6 Apc state chairmen from the southwest that boycotted going to see Sarki will vote for Tinubu.

My people do the maths. The north will use their Numerical number to shift Tinubu one side.

Lol! Yorubas should not join Igbos in their media propaganda against! Buhari. We have long past that stage.

Anyhow, Buhari wants to rule, he should, when the igbos and the south south were fighting him, the yorubas were supporting him. Now the yorubas want to fight him, they should not join Igbos in the fray, we are okay with Buhari's appointments. If he likes, he should give all the posts to the north, the igbos saw it before the elections, but the yorubas were forming sophisticated.

Please, yorubas, dont join igbos in your media propaganda against Buhari.

Politics / Re: It’s Time To Move On, Atiku Tells Tinubu, Other APC Leaders by lurther: 8:27am On Jul 04, 2015
Sure! Yorubas lost during GEJ's time because of Tinubu's greed. Tinubu denied Bisi Akande her righfull position, which was a true representation of zonal integration. The yorubas were denied a top post because of this Tinubu's greedy action then and the yorubas foolishly and sheepishly followed Tinubu to bring down GEJ's government.

Now that the yorubas have been sidelined and are being sidelined in this administration, are they going to leave APC and bring down Buhari's government like they did GEJ. This time who would they align with? The south-south and south-east are already on their own and may not be willing to forge any alliance with the yorubas.

Does this leave the yorubas as political orphans in Nigeria? Time will tell.

I really feel bad for what Saraki and Dogara have done to Tinubu. The only thing that man didn't give to have APC stand where it is today was his life and it is only fair that he be given a very good spot to hang his hat.

Tinubu could, by way of vengeance, single handedly ensure APC doesn't return in 2019. If history has taught us anything, it taught us NEVER to underestimate the power and reach of that man.

Hmmmmmm! South east and south south hates them, so they say and shout. Now north hates them, so they also say and shout.

They should just look at themselves very well and see why every region is scared of them. I can't believe that so soon, they will be shouting northerners are conspiring against them. It's still early morning.

I guess they are in dilemma of what position to take in 2019 after betraying their fellow southern brothers, the south south and south east. 2019 would be interesting because I know the south south and south east will want to pay them back in their own coin by voting a northerner as president as they are doing now in the national assembly.

Since you said you are now trying to be neutral, should nigerians as a whole now accept Tinubu's imposition of senate president, deputy, HOR Speaker and deputy on all Nigerians? It seems to me that you are a mercantile on nairaland. Today you are for PDP, tomorrow APC, next tomorrow Tinubu, another day GEJ. Later you start to edit and delete your threads. The machiavelli of our time.

One calculated action for one day. Another calculated action for another day.

How can Tinubu appoint the vice president, senate president, deputy senate president, House of Rep's speaker, HOR deputy speaker and the national presiding officers? In a country of more than 100 ethnic groups, one man would want to appoint all elective posts.

I can authoritatively deduce from the recent happenings in the APC, Buhari is 100percent aware and tacitly supporting this moves. No one man can lord of Nigeria. Saraki is actually doing some people Bidding somewhere, some place. The plan is to decimate Tinubu.

Where is Lai Mohammed? The same man that came out on TV to say that Buhari is not APC leader. Lai Mohammed doesn't speak for APC again? Has he suddenly gone dumb? Not heard from him for a long time now.

Buhari is really in a state of confusion. And people were blaming and abusing Gej as if being a president of Nigeria is like being a class teacher.

All I can say is, Nigeria will be in the biggest mess in the next four years. GEJ's tenure would be child's play to what the maladministration Buhari is about to unleash on us.

I watched APC senators fight on channels News this night by 8pm and what came to my mind was just pity for Nigerians.

So after all, it was not about change, it was simply about interest of the politicians, and Nigerians were shouting change. Imagine showing on TV, fight between Saraki group and Lawan Group backed by Tinubu.

Even PDP in their internal crisis never showcased this crass idiocy and stupidity. Nigerians are in for a four years long Nights of wait.

Why do I have the feeling that before the end of this administration, GEJ's tenure will be child's play. The same governors that forced GEJ to share the excess crude oil account money that was been saved for rainy days have started to force Buhari to share NLNG's money today, in the name of owing their workers salary.

I even thought Buhari said he met an empty treasure and the governors today requested Buhari to share 1.9billion Dollars NLNG money today. This APC no wan stop their propaganda, even as they have gotten power.

This four years will be funny.... APC senators tearing fighting. Before you know it, PDP will highjack the remaining leadership positions in the national assembly.

Heheheeheheheeh! Apc Governors want to do to oyegun what PDP governors did to Bamanga Tukur and this is a recipe for blackmailing Buhari like how the PDP governors blackmailed GEJ before the defection of the 5 nPDP governors then to APC.

Allowing Tinubu's group like lawan, Akume and Gbajabiamila to hold this principal positions will be very risky and a stupid position for the saraki/Dogara to take. It will definitely jeopardise their chances of retaining their seats.

As hardcore politicians, Saraki/Daogara should know the machiavelli's 'The Prince' of how to obtain power and maintain power. They have gotten this power and they need to maintain it. By maintaining it, they need to decimate Tinubu's boys to Zero level, so that they would have Zero chance of threat to their new found positions of power.

Saraki and Dogara, dont loose-guard to Tinubu's plan B. You need to maintain and sustain your power for the next four years by not allowing Tinub's boys raise their head in the both national assembly chambers.

Saraki...I trust you are a Hardcore politician, Dogara... let me see what stuff you are made of.

Have Buhari also met with Dogara the new House of Rep's speaker?
Sahareporters have not yet still recovered from the shock and bloodied-nose Saraki dealt Tinubu.

Why Tinubu and his media arms continue to live in denial and deceive people that Buhari is not in support of Saraki/Dogara's emergence, Atiku who is now Buharis's closest political Ally is doing the political dirty job for Buhari.

The Die is Cast. Tinubu should just remain abroad, because any further ploitcal-manuovering by him, will lead to his final Demise as a politician, even in the southwest.

Politics / Fresh Crisis Brews In APC As Tinubu Posters Disappear From APC’s Secretariat by lurther: 8:08am On Jun 19, 2015
Fresh crisis brews in APC over Senate posts

The sharing of principal offices in the Senate seems to be creating a fresh crisis in the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The principal offices are the Senate Leader; the Deputy Senate Leader; the Chief Whip and the Deputy Chief Whip.

While the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, is believed to have recommended to the APC National Working Committee that the positions be allocated to the zones, some leaders of the party, especially those from the South-West, want them filled by the party’s hierarchy.

A senator made this known to one of our correspondents in Abuja on Thursday just as the APC NWC meeting   on Thursday   failed to agree on the modalities for brokering peace among aggrieved members of the party.

The senator warned that if the issue was not quickly resolved, the Senate and the APC might “face another round of crisis bigger than that that resulted from Saraki’s emergence as Senate president.”

He added, “The Senate President, had after wide consultations, suggested how the officers to occupy these posts could be appointed. He suggested the allocation of the four principal offices to some of the geopolitical zones.

“But some leaders, who are still angry with his (Saraki) emergence, turned down his suggestion. Some of the influential leaders from the South-West are insisting that the party should fill the offices. This is in spite of the fact that the chairman of our party (John Odigie-Oyegun) and other members of the NWC are in support of allocating the principal offices to zones.

“The South-West leaders are even saying that allowing the party leadership to fill the offices, remained the only way to allow peace to reign in the Senate.”

A Senator from the North-Central , who is loyal to Saraki, confirmed the development on condition of anonymity .

He said that it was true that some APC leaders were insisting that the party should nominate the senators who would occupy the four principal offices .

He said, “By the Senate tradition, the party in majority normally sends the offices to the zones where the Senate caucuses would meet and choose among themselves in the zone, who occupies the offices.

“Some other leaders of the party are claiming that asking the party to produce the principal officers was a smart way   to impose the Senate Leader, the Deputy Senate Leader, the Chief Whip and the Deputy Chief Whip on the Senate.”

The senator claimed that a “very influential “ leader of the party from the South-West had allegedly written Odigie- Oyegun that the leaders would fill the positions. “

He said, “Some of us were just called by some members of the NWC intimating us of details of a letter forwarded to the body that it should just fill the remaining four leadership positions in the Senate.

“In fact, the letter from the South-West leader is that the party must take charge and name its preferred candidates for the four offices.”

It was further learnt that some senators had already met with some NWC members asking them to ignore the letter.

They   were said to have insisted that the tradition remained that the zonal caucuses which did not produce the Senate President and his deputy should meet and nominate among themselves.

They added that it was when there were two or more nominations that,   an election could hold and that whoever scored the highest votes   would be the candidate.

Efforts to get the spokesperson for the pro – Saraki group, Dino Melaye, failed because his mobile phone was switched off.

Spokesperson for the Senate Unity Forum, a group of senators loyal to   Lawan, Kabir Marafa, argued that the choice of other principal officers who are not elected on the floor of the Senate, remained the sole business of the party leadership.

He said, “How can the executive of the party at the zonal levels determine who will be made the Senate Leader, the Deputy Senate Leader, the Chief Whip   and the Deputy Chief Whip?

“It is the party executive that would determine all these. So the party would write the Senate President. That is the tradition. It cannot be done at the zonal level, it is absurd. There should be due process in whatever things   we do.”

But when contacted , the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lai Mohammed simply said,   “No comment.”

NWC meeting deadlocked

Meanwhile, the leaders of the party will meet again on Friday   following their failure to reach an agreement on how to end the crisis that arose due to the National Assembly leadership elections .

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja   started at about 5.20pm. It   lasted for a little over an hour.

Details of the meeting were not made public as of   8pm on Thursday when this story was filed.     When approached for comments ,   Odigie-Oyegun,   said, “We will meet again tomorrow to continue.”

It was however learnt that the party leaders had been unable to get supporters of the Senate President and the APC’s preferred candidate for the Senate Presidency , Ahmed Lawan, to meet face-to-face.

One of our correspondents, who visited the APC secretariat observed that the posters and banners of a former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, had disappeared from the secretariat.

His banners were hitherto pasted   side by side those of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

Most of the banners were put up by individuals and groups   supporting the APC.

It is not clear what led to the disappearance of the posters and banners.

22 cars from just 3 wives? The fourth wife would sure have more than 20 cars because she is the newest Bride. Is the fourth wife of Isa Yuguda not supposed to be yaradua's daughter?

Anyway, even if they recover 100 cars from all this past governors, be it a one term governor self, the money embezzled by these men ia more than enough to replace and fill in their garages again and again with more than a thousand assorted cars.

Our constitution needs to be re-amended in this country. So much power and privileges given to the governors that there are no checks and balances. Corruption will continue to thrive unabated with this watery constitution of Nigeria.
