SMH! If had caused serious war and violence in this country like how buhari did in 2011, you would understand what this little action of his means to you. Trust me, u wouldn't understand now. Just relax and think about the bigger picture if he had incited violence. Do you think, if there was war you would be typing all this bullshitttt? Anyway, Nigerians like you are really ungrateful. Never in the history of our co-existence as a nation have I been proud of being Igbo. Atleast for once, we were so united in our stand.... it is a step to greater unity and love amongst us. Let this election be a unitying factor to we Ndigbos of our generation. Let it be on herald that we have for once been united and unanimous in our decision like the other tribes. We might not have achieved our desired victory, but we achieved the greatest victory of unity which from hence will be a way forward as a people. PointB: 1 Like |

Politics / A Message To All Igbos By Lurther by lurther: 8:25am On Mar 31, 2015 |
It is glaring that the elections have come and gone. The winner has also come and gone. Now the issue at stake on the post-election effects in our national polity and co-existence as a nation. I woke up on sunday morning, switched on my laptop and decided to check what is trending on twitter. Lo and behold Igbo was trending on twitter. I decided to check why and read comments on the Igbos, what i saw was very much appalling and denigrating to say the least. I came on nairaland politics section again, and so many threads on the igbos again. The vilification of the igbos is now the new trend on social media, funny but true. That christ was so much despised, hated, vilified and even killed did not take away the fact that he was good, it even made him the most sought after in the world. The igbos have been accused of bigotry and ethnic jingoism. what i can deduce from this accusation of the igbos as bigots, is giving the new meaning of the definition of bigotry. Bigotry is now defined as when a particular group of people seek and protect their interest, they are called nationalistic, but when another group seek and protect their interest they are called bigots. It is on record that the north has always voted buhari as been evidenced in all the elections he has contested. I have not seen anyone call the north bigots. Even if buhari rules and finishes his tenure, the north will still vote another northerner that will represent them as their candidate. No one dares call the north bigots. The south west have been known to always form a party of their own, from the days of awolowo Action group party to the Alliance of democracy party (AD) which has metarmophosed into the present APC from AC TO ACN. If not for obasanjo's political sagacity that he hijacked the south west for the PDP in 2003, the yorubas have always had a party. I have not seen anyone accuse them of bigotry oooo. When ever the igbos unite to form a common ground in their quest to seeking relevance in in this contraption called Nigeria they are called bigots. All sort of things were said about the APGA party by some people at a time, but they had their own party then the ACN. Now the question is, should the igbos not be independent to also have their own ideology like the yorubas and the hausas who have always been known to be have their own ideology. Are other tribes trying to intimidate the igbos into buying their own ideology? They are quick to vote their ethnic parties even with the baggages of the leaders of such parties, but are also quick to accuse the igbos of ethnic bigotry when they do the same. Intimidation? One thing is sure about the igbos, criticize all you like, vilify all you like, hate all you like, we have never been at the centre since 1967 till date and we have been waxing strong. Do we really need to be at the centre before we become industrious? Do we really need to be at the centre before we realize the importance of education and human development? My joy is, why some people fight for power at the centre in every election without even realizing the importance of education, we don't care. We dont go begging on the roads because we are illiterates or non-industrious. It is high time my igbo brothers hold their heads high and continue to seek and pursue their ideologies without fear like how other tribes do. Yes the odds may not favour us because of the structuring of the nation, but, we shouldn't be intimidated. Let us continue to work hard and be the educated and industrious people we are. Meanwhile congratulations to the new president of Nigeria 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Women have issues. They always go for married men. Their new slogan in town now is: A single guy cannot take care of me, it's only married men that can take care of me. You see ladies checking out a man's finger to confirm if he is married, if he is married, they go for thanksgiving that the have caught a big fish, they would even go to the length of getting pregnant for the man to destroy the his marriage and family. Have anybody observed the high rate of single guys without no girlfriends these days? 16 Likes 1 Share |

No wonder fashola has stopped harrasing okada riders. He knows their electoral value that is why he has relaxed the ban on okada riders in lagos. But, i ithink the okada riders have actually learnt not to be bitten twice and shamed severally. Fashola banned the use of okada in his 1st tenure, he relaxed the ban and even bought them free helmets as a campaign strategy toward his re-election in 2011. After he was re-elected he banned the use of okada again, throwing lots of youth back to the labour market. He has relaxed the ban again, Okadas everywhere in lagos. Would the okada riders be so docile to stupidity to be susceptible to this easy and tricky deceit of fashola? Time will tell....... 72 Likes 6 Shares |

Crime / Re: Suspected Killer Of A Lagos Housewife Tells His Stunning Story From A Hideout by lurther: 11:00am On Feb 08, 2015 |
When I first read this story sometime late last year, my mind went to shady dealings on the part of this housewife. Things happen in this life ooo. This story is just to messy, Gross and unbelievable for a married woman with 4 kids. She wouldn't even travel for Christmas holidays with her husband to stay with her boyfriends. To imagine that this woman's children will all one day read all this gross stories about their dead mother and how she died. Way painfull I must admit. Now, after all the frolicking this is how she ends up. Advice to young women: Please marry for love and not for money. God has a way of smiling on young hard-working men. How can you marry for money and end up messing up yourself. What a way to die with this kind of baggage. Rip to the dead. 32 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Lagos APGA Candidate Asked To Speak Yoruba.(Video) by lurther: 7:32am On Feb 06, 2015 |
Please, why are they denying igbos their Permanent voters card in lagos? As I type, lots of igbos have not been given their permanent voters card in lagos. Is APC afraid of something? All this while, they have been shouting that Igbos are inconsequential in lagos, why now sieze their voters card? Besides, Apga is just a joker in the lagos gubernatorial elections, It's between PDP and APC. So, let the lagos state electoral commission in collaboration with the independent national electoral commission release the permanent voters cards of igbos in lagos. What is even their fear self, after saying igbos don't have the numbers and are presumably inconsequential. bamidele029: 10 Likes |

Yes! Yahoo as a media organization has the right to opine on political issues as regards countries all over the world. We cannot take away that right to do so, the only difference is that, it is just their opinion. They will also opine, speculate and predict future elections all over the world, that doesn't equate to realities on ground in such countries. Like I said, it's just an opinion. |

If guys take the responsibility of giving women money for hair, then there is problem with women calling themselves independent ladies. When you cannot be independent for something as trivial as making hair, then you have to check yourself as a woman if you are okay at all. |

I don't think this is the right step to take. Not only are the students vulnerable to election violence, they are also instruments of this violence. Why not tell them to go for a short break, so as to prevent every avoidable human disaster. Why always say, ' had I known' to human-preventable regrets. Students are very susceptible in the both ways. Those that would be used by the politicians and those that will be innocently used to count scores. Say prevent any unforeseen disaster now and give them break. 18 Likes 1 Share |

Hmmmmmm! This issue is somewhat hard to discern. I really do understand the OP very much on not having feelings for the lady. But one thing I know, it is better for a woman to fall in love with a man in a relationship, than for a woman to be in a relationship with no atom of love because she has been wooed by a guy. Romance / Why Then Should one marry a Babymama? by lurther: 9:09am On Jan 28, 2015 |
It is no longer news that 2face was caught at rumours night club all cossy and kissing one of his babymama pero adeniyi. The pictures of this incident has gone viral. 2face has released a statement, annie idibia has also released a statement that she is unfazed with such distractions. I actually have a problem with this latest incident. While some fans are concerned about such attitude from a married man, some others are very fast to state that there is no wrong in such actions, considering the fact that pero is the babymama and has children for 2face. this set of people always say: She is 2face babymama and they have every right for such attitude, so people should mind their business, by the way she has 2face's children. Now here lies the problem: Those that believe tha,t as long as pero adeniyi is 2face babymama and should continue such amorous affairs with him, are discouraging young men to marry babymamas. If it is not wrong for a babymama to go back once in a while to her baby daddy and have amorous affairs. It is logical to conclude that it is wrong for young men to also marry this babymamas. Now, sumbo one of 2face's babymamas is happily married to a pastor, so because she has kids for 2face, she should continue to see 2face in private, amorously? What happens to the pastor that married her? I don't just get. How do we reconcile this. Yes! it is not my business as some people will opine, by the way they both have kids. what actually is my business is this other angle to the issue of people saying babymamas have the right to continue seeing their babydaddys discreetly. What now happens to those men married to babymamas and those intending to marry babymamas. I actually brought this angle, because people seem to forget that apart from annie macauley being hurt, there is a moral lesson to this story. The moral lesson to this story is: sorry to babymamas, they are not marriageable. Yes, it is so wrong to marry them, since the society is now trying to tell us and will be fast to say in the local parlance ' once debe always debe '. N.B: I am not against taking care of kids by babydadys and babymamas gotten together. I am actually against, continous amorous affairs even when they are in marriage instittutions. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Buhari's Certificate Is Equivalent To A Master's Degree - Sagay by lurther: 9:58am On Jan 20, 2015 |
I have observed something about these forthcoming elections and its intrigues, both from learned and unlearned Nigerians. This particular election is sure going tribal lines. Every political analysts, proffessionals like sagay and ozekhome are all basing their opinions on tribal lines and sentiments. How can a learned proffessional like sagay equal any academic degree in this world to masters degree? when it is not a PH.D. I guess, even with all his qualifications, he does not even know what a masters degree is. Sentiments have so blinded him, that he has thrown decorum and proffessionalism, which deals with facts and reality to the wind. It is unfortunate, that, people can stoop this low, just to achieve an aim. Anyway, we are all humans and can err, proffesional or not. So, Sagay would be forgiven for that, as even God forgave those who killed him considering the fact that they are fallible and imperfect humans. 1 Like |

@ Mathematical, you haven't seen ladies that cheat, even with no defects from their man? Many ladies do cheat because they derive joy in reciprocating attentions, which can be easily handled. Besides, most ladies are just cheats without reason. This is also applicable to men also. Just wishing to get a homely lady that would just be satisfied with her guy's shortcomings. 3 Likes |
