Good day everyone, please I have a question concerning pgce. I applied to three schools through UK dept. Of educ. I was given an offer in one of the schools which is university of Worcester, tuition fee is 14,400 and I was asked to pay 50% before cas and balance by Jan. the other two schools had not responded as at the time I accepted the offer. Though they are expensive and I really don't have interest in them anymore. Can I still reapply to other schools that have flexible payment plan using another e-mail address?
Is there anyone studying in the University?
Please I really need an advise.
I would also love to meet anyone that had/presently studying pgce secondary biology.

BS! BS ! BS! All thanks to everybody for your prayers, may God be with you and yours.  Let me quickly do this before I get more carried away with excitement and preparations. N.B: All dates given by scan and L.M.P had passed which were all march except the last one which I was given April 1st. Back to the story, I went to the clinic on Tuesday and complained that i had not started feeling any pain nor see any sign. I was told by the doctor that if by next visit, I had not given birth that I would be induced. So I was expectant with lots of exercises and food with drinks that I've read and heard to cause induction. So by friday night I started feeling the pains with neither blood nor water, by 1.30am on Saturday morning I went to pee and I saw blood so I was happy as I won't be induced anymore but the drama started. Initially, the pain was minimal as I was still gisting with hubby and laughing when I get relieved. By 4.00 I was not responding to him again and he said we should be on our way to the hospital, I said no that I will wait till morning as I wouldn't want to suspect the neighbours. As I was holding chairs, sitting on glass centre table, kneeling down, lying down, the pain was getting intense. By 6.30am we were on our way to the hospital. When I was tested, the nurse told me I was 6cm dilated.. Ehhh the pains was becoming unbearable as I was saying a lot of funny statements like 'ko mo customer' meaning the pains does not know customer. My Yoruba people can relate, my body is shaking and all sorts.. I was checked again and I was 9cm my membrane was ruptured by the nurse and to main work, time to push ehhh, I was told to push. As I push the first time, I jumped off the bed because I din't really knw where I was. I was scared because I thought my baby was out already, I went back to the bed with determination to push just once more which I did and behold my prince was out crying his lungs out. I was asked of the sex which I told them. The tear was not deliberate(episitiomy), it was his head that gave me tear in three ways. It was indeed a sweet experience. Birth story submitted! On the 3rd day I went to the Labour to ask the nurses, they said my hubby should have told me, na there I don start to dey mad I called him immediately he said he's fine,he's at the Neonatal ward he wasn't breathing well when the brought him out and he has to be placed on oxygen for 48hrs. He has a low pcv he may be transfused also, na so my prayer points changed, i took the handkerchief GO prayed on at redemption and placed it on his forehead and started praying. By the time they checked his pcv the 3rd day he was, I was discharged on the 4th day after the CS but baby wasn't discharged, he was discharged on the 8th day, I couldn't even tell ppl that have given until after he was discharged, that's what comes with a general hospital you will see your baby during visiting hours only or time to feed. Thank God it all ended in praise. Thank God for you dear. Your testimony shall be permanent in Jesus name. |

Testimony Time!
My darling son Henry is two weeks Already and I can't but appreciate God for how far he has helped us. The past week and some days was hell and I thank God for the grace to pull through.
I had my baby on the 31st of January and was discharged on the 1st of March, which was on a Thursday. I wasn't lactating and couldn't feed the baby all through that Wednesday, same thing on Thursday so I decided to buy NAN formula for my baby. I noticed he was restless and not feeding well. He also had a high temperature but everyone l told kept saying his temperature was fine. Fast forward to Friday night, his eyes had turned yellow, he was almost lifeless. I waited til sat morning and took him to the hospital. He was tested for jaundice and the bilirubin level in his blood had skyrocketed. The total was close to 400. The Dr was amazed and said it was way too high for a 3 day old baby.
I was scared to the bone when she said it may cross to the brain and once it does, the person becomes an slowpoke. The Dr suggested an immediate EBT ie his whole blood was drained and another transfused to him. That day was the scariest day of my life.We had to arrange for donor and the procedure was done. Thank God it was successful. Baby was placed under the photo therapy light after the whole transfusion.
The pain my son went through could only be imagined especially when a house officer kept chooking him with needle while looking for his vein for close to an hour. it was so bad that i almost fought the Dr. They later chased me and my hubby out. We were peeping through the window and my son was crying like he'll die any moment. The Dr had to send for his supervisor later when he didn't get it and the baby was exhausted from screaming.
We were on admission for almost a week. my baby lost a lot of weight, that yeye light cooked his forehead,neck and some part of his hands. I also fell Ill due to excess mosquito in d hospital compound and the stress of going up and down.The stitch down below loosed and the pain was out of this world. I couldn't walk properly. Thank God for my mom that stayed behind at the hospital at times for me to get some rest and catch some sleep
In all, we are home and recovering fast. we thank God because his mercy endures forever.
Experienced mamas in the house, my son is such a foodie who wouldn't mind sucking the whole day. He wakes up and cries once I put him off breast. I was advised to breastfeed him exclusively for a whole to compleletly get rid of the jaundice if not I would have fed him with formula. what can I do to increase the way I lactate to keep up with his demand for food cos I'm already exhausted. I know how it feels to be stressed up immediately after child birth because i've been there too but thank God for the victory and may his healing be permanent in Jesus name. As for your lactation, feed well, take a lot of pap and milk then have enough rest. Sorry dear. |

Concerning the use of safety pin on one's garment while pregnant, does it have any spiritual backing or its just a myth? I just returned from a stroll not quite long and my neighbour asked if I had it attached to my cloth. Please help me with responses before fear overtakes me.
It depends on you sis. What you believe in, will definitely work for you. But to me, it's just a myth. Though I was told the same during my first preg. And I would answer yes. It all still depend on your belief. |

Good morning house, I've been a silent follower for a while. Please I need a clarification on which body I can assess my certificate with. I have a b.ed in biology 2006 and I've been teaching since 2009. I also have an Msc in botany 2014 in pursuit of a lecturing job. My question now is can Iasses with Aislt as a teacher or Vetasses as a botanist? Or can I add the two and assessed as either one of them? Note: I have 30 points with my age already. I use Shea butter mixed with OliveOil and my boys' skins glow .they are natural and healthy. Sheabutter and olive oil is the best. I mean original Shea butter from Oyo and olive oil, our own anointing oil. |
