Luvlyoracle called to show interest, he bargained and we agreed on a price, after that he said, he'd want me to dispatch it for him which I don't have issues with, then he said I'll have to use part of the stabilizer fee to send it to him, which I declined because I was in need of cash, he said he doesn't have money for dispatch, I told him I can't pay dispatch fee from the money he paid for the stabilizer

We hung up, then he called back to ask if I can send it to gazzu.zz, which I obliged to because gazzu.zz stays less than 15mins away from me, he then asked me to wait so he can close deal with gazzu.zz

Few mins later, he called/chatted again saying sending via gazzu.zz would be too expensive for him, at this point I felt since I can't pay for dispatch out of the money i'll be getting for the stab and he doesn't have money to get it either

I then suggested, if he's not in a hurry, I can help him send it around new year if I got some money (note this wasn't a promise nor agreement) he said he was fine with it, then we deal and he sent money

Fast forward to new year, he called me on the 2rd, I wasn't home, so I told him I'd send my cousin to go to the park and ask how much it'll cost to waybill, unfortunately he couldn't make it to the park that day because of his schedule, I then spoke to LuvlyOracle, that I'll send the stabilizer to him personally on Saturdays

On my way home that saturday, I branched at the park to enquire how much it'll cost to waybill the item, the driver said 3,5k last, I was still without money but I budgeted 2k for waybill, I called him to let him know how much it'll cost to have the item waybilled, i immediately told him, I don't have 3,5k to waybill the item, all he could say was "that's none of his problem" all he wants was his stabilizer

He started calling my wife to say all kinds of stuff.

I texted him to let him know am not obligated to send the stabilizer with my money, since he couldn't pay for dispatch and I on the other hand I can't afford to pay for it either which was made known before payment was made

Now he's on my WhatsApp calling me all sort of names, I am not one to engage with people because of minor issues, I won't exchange words with you, that's for sure, I've seen your account number and a refund will be initiated

I think you blatantly misunderstood the option, it was just an option, which I thought if you're fine with it, then I can do it, but you've decided to make it seems like an agreement or a promise

PS- I've been on this thread, I've been paid in advance couple of times and I've never had issues with anyone

I contacted Yeyeboyfriend on the 18th decemeber for a stabilizer he advertised using this number.
That was the first contact we had however we i told him i am not in lagos and what i priced him then was 10k later i had to increase my offer to 12k because i needed to pay for waybill and my entire budget for stabilizer was 15k.


He rejected the offer.

I wasnt really in need of it then.

However Yeyeboyfriend called me the next day that he needed money for something urgent and its really on his neck that if i could pay immediately he would send it later during the new year cus sending it now would be very expensive considering its festive period and everything would be on the high side that from new year he would send it and i wouldn't have to pay for anything else

I accepted because i wasnt really in need of it then and i understood his plight.

I never disturbed Yeyeboyfriend since the 18th i made the payement until 2nd January.

I called him, the line i used initially for the calls wasnt going i had to go to his profile to get this number which was going through.I was able to reach him of which he said he would send someone to go check the price.

We had little rift then cus i told him its not really my business how much they charge for waybill that we agreed on the new year i would get it.

Yeyeboyfriend pleaded i should be patient he would send someone to go to the park to make enquiries on the cost of the waybill that.

I never got feedback on that i called no response still.

I had to call the wife to tell her i have been expecting what i paid for that i am no more comfy with whats happening.

She pleaded i be patient that she isnt there with him however she would call him to know whats up.


That was when Yeyeboyfriend wrote me the message on whatsapp after several calls that he would send the stab unfailingly on Saturday.

Saturday came and went no show from this man.
No calls!
No update!
He blanked me off entirely.

Next he did was to send me a vn on whatsapp that we never agreed on him paying for waybill.


I was mad!!

The thing enta my head.
I had to start cursing him of which i have no regrets whatsoever doing so.

Nobody like veggie darling but that's the healthiest thing to earth in this world.
The thing is we don't have the culture of eating veggie.

Watching this family make their daily menu around different veggies even small kids eat with delight made me so ashamed of what I cook for myself and family when I can do better.
I hsve learnt how to enjoy diff veggies with noodles. Lots of trials. Mushroom, carrot, cauliflower, green onions, name them, I put till my pan is full and add a small noodle. Sometimes it hard to see the noodles. Can stir fry meat or add fish. Loads of water. Make the soup sweet. No child will ever say no to that. By the time you eat halfway, you are full, I mean really full. At the end of the day, you notice you ate small but healthy food.

The only potential problem is not the frequency. The capacity too. The capacity of that generator (1.0-1.1kw) to effectively power and charge through a 1.5kva is suspect. Charging puts additional burden on the generator and putting a stabilizer on it cannot correct that.

There are a couple of things going on here.

First off most inverters will reject a supply frequency below 47hz and this is as it should be.

The generator output frequency can be easily adjusted - typically by turning a screw/adjustment knob to bring the engine speed to spec.

You said you measured the Gen frequency - I hope you have a proper meter so that you can verify that you are now in the 50 - 52hz range after adjustment.

Now can the generator successfully run your inverter charging and other loads? This depends a lot on the Generator actual capacity and state of health, the size of connected loads on the inverter and if you can adjust the charging current on the inverter.

If you are able to keep your loads + inverter charging current within the Gen's run ability then all good.

As a side note, people often erroneously assume that a smaller generator cannot support/power a large inverter - it depends on a couple of things.

Take the case of a 3.5 - 4.5kva Gen behind a 3.5 - 5kva Sukam or similar spec inverter - the average load on the inverter in a typical Nigerian household is under 1,000w and the inverter can put out a max 800w ish of charge current - a decent 3.5kva Gen will take these loads easily. However replace the inverter with a similar sized Mustpower or Axpert type which can pull up to 4x the current and the story changes - the Gen will groan unless you adjust the charge current downwards.

A good rule of thumb is if you have a 5kva Gen it should be able to power up to 60% of the capacity in watts so a good 5Kva Gen can easily support 3,000w of loads. If you can keep your inverter charge amps + loads on the inverter + loads direct on Gen within 3000w then things should run smoothly.

By way of preaching the gospel - a premium inverter like Victron can separate the AC input from the invert stage such that I can run 5,000w of loads on the inverter AC out but only draw 2,000w from the AC input supply (with this one can avoid overloading a Gen or other weak supply) - this and a host of value added features justify the price premium on these inverters.
