In addition to NNPC, I have ordered a complete audit of our other revenue generating agencies mainly CBN, FIRS, Customs, NCC, for better service delivery to the nation. Prudent house-keeping is needed now more than ever in view of the sharp decline in world market oil prices. It is a challenge we have to face squarely. But what counts is not so much what accrues but how we manage our resources Ride on Mr President. You will definitely have the support of I and my family. |

Impatience is not a virtue. Order is more vital than speed. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results. And better results for our country is what the APC government for CHANGE is all about. My best quote of the day. |

tuk2ato: You live in an idealistic world. Is it the Police that cant be truthful about the whole situation, taking the glory as if they were the ones that rescued the old man from his kidnappers, and denying that ransome was paid. If you followed the story closely, you would know that the fulani herdsmen kidnapped the old man, and it isnt a matter of allegation. The old man even confirmed that his abductors were fulanis. Afenifere was right in their demands that nomadic grazing should be stopped or they will retort to self-help. Under which law will it be done.....They just want to create unnecessary chaos which will lead to tribal war. |

EdCure: Even if it is politics, isnt it obvious that it is for the good and defence of yorubaland and the preservation of its heritage? Some of you guys will always hide under the cloak of civilization, sophistication and political correctnes to defend your docility (and cowardice). Do you prefer to defend Elrufai et al at the detriment of your own people because of politics? That's not how to defend Yoruba land....... Ascribing a crime committed by few to large of group is incorrect and unfair. |

tuk2ato: Fulani herdsmen wielding AK 47s, leaving death and destruction in their wake. Kidnapping a yoruba elder stateman and asking for ransom. If we close our eyes to this, they might as well turn the SW into the NC, where they kill and maim lives and destroy properties at will! Yes! An alleged group of fulani herdsmen kidnapped an elder statesman. Afenifere full hopefully of enlightening and wise people should have hold their gun for the full police investigation to be concluded before jumping the ship. Even if it's true, why do they want to take laws into their hands? I'm expecting them to liase with the state government on making laws that will strengthen the well being of the people. I didn't expect them to go rogue on us. Their reaction was unrefined..... . OPC should be making this kind of statement |

oilyngbati: No, my bigass yoruba sister, it smells more like IGBO. Ask our other yorubas brethren like Shymex, Aigbofa, Ilekedi, Superstar, Babapupa and they will concur the Igbo is behind this. The Igbo are behind the kidnapping. The fulani cannot kidnap us in our land, we have always obeyed them. We even gave them ilorin, so what else do they want from us? No, you're missing the point. Even if it's true Fulani herdsmen were behind this, Afenifere as a former non partisan organisation should be calling for the arrest of the perpetrators of the crime. And not labelling a whole tribe for the crime of few. Are they trying to tell us Yorubas outside of their enclave don't commit crime? Or are they saying other tribes in Yoruba land don't commit crime? This is not ordinary...... It's politics. |

You needed to see the way he was conversing with Hollywood's Danny Glover yesterday. Ambode is not even close to Fashola, not one bit. Fashola is indeed a topnotch. Ambode will never do 1/10th of what Fashola did. The most annoying is that he's reversing every good thing Fashola have done. I voted for continuity not these rubbish I'm seeing. |

Whynotthetruth: If you have to wait for 4yrs to criticise buhari on economy; why rush to criticise Prof Joy Ogwu now? ...because the embarrassment to buhari and Nigeria was caused by Buhari himself not anybody else ... Are you for real! A president who's coming in to clean away the mess created by Jonathan’s 5 years of incompetency should also wait for more of Ogwu's incompetency. Please don't quote me again. Your thinking process is obviously corrupted. . |
