I became a Liverpool fan immediately after the champions league final in Istanbul 2005 which they won. Alot of things run through my head when i was watching the final against Ac Milan. But one major thing i can say from the match that make me to love the big family (Liverpool) is the lesson they taught me which is now part of my principle "Never give up, No matter the loads of obstacles surrounding you, But with cool fighting spirit you can get to your dreams." Moreover, their style of play is another adorable attraction for me coupled with the dedication of the players. If not recently about Suarez issue, one hardly hear any form of irrational acts involving THE RED'S players. The fans itself are another attraction for one to want to associate with the club. Down here in 9ja (Nigeria), the fans have one visible characteristic: 'They are all responsible dudes'. Hated violence and any form of discrimination in the game with passion. They stood out in the midst of other fans with their gentle nature. What else can i say, the history of the club and its achievements is another point of attraction to me. ONCE A "RED" AND WILL FOREVER BE "THE REDS" FOR LIFE. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE! Application of the above as an unemployed graduate like me. "Never give up, No matter the loads of obstacles surrounding you, But with cool fighting spirit you can get to your dream job. compiled by Luvola **** 746f8f4c Front page mod. |

Aston villa are in form of their life. Gunners should be wary of the threat they pose.Gabby agbonlahan strike sunk Liverpool last week and villan currently has the best defense in the epl now based on current statistics. |
Thursday 18 September 2014 Recently promoted Leicester City will be satisfied with their start to the campaign as Nigel Pearson’s side recorded their first win of the season against Stoke on Saturday and have only been beaten by Chelsea. A tough fixture list has already seen them face Jose Mourinho’s side, Everton and Arsenal and they are now up against an improving Manchester United. Louis van Gaal has spent freely this summer, most recently securing the services of Real Madrid superstar Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco. A 4-0 obliteration of Queens Park Rangers suggested that Van Gaal’s team is finally starting to gel, and their attacking options are now the envy of most managers. Leicester summer signing Leonardo Ulloa has been in excellent form, finding the net three times already, while former Galactico Esteban Cambiasso impressed on his debut against Crystal Palace, and could provide some much needed quality against United’s all-star line-up. Liverpool: Mignolet; Manquillo, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson, Allen; Sterling; Borini, Balotelli. 101GG Preview Can Liverpool finish off a tricky seven day period with a morale boosting win at Upton Park on Saturday? The Reds dropped down into 8th in the Premier League last weekend following a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Anfield to Aston Villa. Brendan Rodgers’ side never got going that day, and the Reds followed that up be squeaking past Bulgarian minnows Ludogorets in the Champions League. LiveThe past two games have flagged up some interesting questions for Liverpool fans to think about including, is Dejan Lovren good enough, the importance of Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling to the team, and will Mario Balotelli be able to have a sustained run of good performances this season. Arguably, Liverpool’s squad this season looks as shaky at the back as it did in 2013-14, whilst without Luis Suarez in their team, their attack is also lacking. That negativity, however, will get pushed o one side if Liverpool can overturn the Hammers, and Fabio Borini could get a chance to feature in the game having impressed in his cameo appearance in midweek. As for West Ham, they come into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw at Hull: a match that the Irons were lucky to come away with a share of the spoils. Whilst going forward there were plenty of green shoots of hope for the Hammers with Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho looking a handful up front, at the back Sam Allardyce’s side never instill too much confidence. Arsenal loannee Carl Jenkinson should help in that regard, as the defender has recovered from injury to replace Guy Demel at right back. Overall, on paper Liverpool appear to have the better squad and thus many may see them as favourites, however Upton Park should be rocking, and West Ham look more than capable of scoring against the Reds. 101GG Predicts: West Ham 2 – Liverpool 1 Essential stats and facts to help with online betting Liverpool are undefeated in 21 of their last 23 matches against West Ham in all competitions. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 9 away matches in the Premier League. West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 9 matches against Liverpool in all competitions. Liverpool have won three and drawn one of their last four matches against West Ham. |
Sam Allardice intend to park the bus against Liverpool which as a result is gonna be problem for us.West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce says his side must be careful with the ball against Liverpool on Saturday First published 13:07 Thursday 18 September 2014 in Latest Football News Last updated 4 hours ago by Tom Bodell Sam Allardyce does not believe West Ham United can learn from Aston Villa's shock 1-0 win over Liverpool last Saturday when the two meet at Upton Park on Saturday (5.30pm). The Hammers host Brendan Rodgers’ side at Upton Park and will be looking claim their second win of the season, whilst capitalising on Liverpool’s sluggish start to the season. Liverpool fell to their second defeat from four Premier League matches on Saturday, going down 1-0 to Aston Villa at Anfield thanks to Gabby Agbonlahor's first-half strike. However, Allardyce believes the lessons his side can learn from Villa’s win are minimal as the Hammers host the Reds, rather than travelling to Anfield. Speaking at his Thursday press conference, Allardyce said: We're playing at home which makes it a bit different. We're not going to go all out to attack them. They'll set up a bit differently away from home. "I think one of the most important things will be how well we look after the ball, and what we do with it when we've got it. They leave a few gaps due to the attacking style they play, so we'll have to exploit them when we can. "We might not get as much possession as we usually do so we'll have to make the most of it, and take the chances we create." He added: "I'm not daft enough to say we're going to press Liverpool and pin them back in their own half, I don't think that is going to happen. But we're going to try when we can but make sure at the same time we're resilient at the back. “If we're on top of our game we'll give them a very good match." West Ham were held to a 2-2 draw at Hull City on Monday night, a game in which club- record signing Enner Valencia marked his debut with his first goal for the club. And Allardyce believes his side are ‘evolving’ after a busy summer of recruitment during the transfer window. He mused: "Our team is evolving isn't it? We brought nine players in this summer, similar to Liverpool. When you try and integrate them into the team it's difficult because we don't know everybody's strengths and weaknesses yet. “We’re still learning how to get the best out of our players. That takes time; you create more time for yourself if the results go your way. "We got a decent result on Monday against Hull having come back from goals down twice. We're in a good frame of mind; the players always look forward to the big games.” Re-calling last season’s 2-1 defeat against the Reds at Upton Park, Allardyce said: "I remember last year we were sadly done by a refereeing decision. They complained that they had to park too far away, the dressing rooms were too hot, and the grass was too long, whatever. “It was a shame they won on a dubious penalty because we played ever so well. Hopefully we can repeat that minus the penalties." The Reds made their return to the Champions League on Tuesday, beating Bulgarian side Ludogorets 2-1 thanks to Steven Gerrard’s 90th minute penalty. Mario Balotelli scored his first goal since joining the club in a £16m move from Milan, before Dani Abalo equalised for the minnows in the 90th minute. It took an injury-time penalty from captain Gerrard to win the tie after Spanish defender Javier Manquillo was brought down inside the penalty area. The Hammers will be without full-back Joey O’Brien (knee), skipper Kevin Nolan (shoulder) and Andy Carroll (ankle). Winger Matt Jarvis will undergo a late fitness test. Rodgers is without Daniel Sturridge (thigh), Glen Johnson (thigh), Jon Flanagan (knee) and Emre Can (ankle), whilst Joe Allen (knee) is doubtful. |

Aston Villa have made their best league start for 16 years, having taken 10 points from a possible 12.Paul Lambert’s signings have gelled quickly, with Phillip Senderos belying his gaffe-prone reputation thus far and Tom Cleverley another player with a point to prove. Recent England debutant Fabian Delph has also excelled at the heart of an in-form Villa. Arsenal will be reeling from their defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday and will be looking to bounce back at a ground where they have not lost since 1998. Deadline day arrival Danny Welbeck will be keen to open his scoring account while the injury-ravaged Arsenal defence will be in search of their first Premier League clean sheet of the season. Alexis Sanchez is in fine form, with three goals already, and Villa will be desperate to keep him quiet. Manchester City will need to pick themselves up after a last-gasp Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich on Wednesday. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have now not won any of their last three games, so the visit of a thus far invincible Chelsea has come at a difficult time for the Sky Blues. Edin Dzeko has not found the net all season, so Pellegrini will look to Sergio Aguero who already has three goals this campaign. Chelsea are in unstoppable form in the Premier League, winning all four of their fixtures so far this season. New arrival Diego Costa has scored seven goals, while Cesc Fabregas is dissecting defences at will, registering six assists already. The Blues won last time they visited the Etihad in the Premier League and Jose Mourinho will be more confident than ever of retaining their place at the summit of the table.
