truth is - eligible men are 1 in a million. every woman wants him. he's a hot commodity. so the chances of him settling with a girl is 1/number of the women who desire him. good luck to you & your daughter. So can we deduce from your analysis that there are only 160 eligible men in Nigeria since we've a population of approximately 160million people |

Dear all, I speak for no party at all but as a concerned Nigerian. Party names are whatever you call them but the question is who are the people in these parties; aren't they Nigerians Corruption in Nigeria is already in the blood because this has gone on and on for years unchecked. For me I think there are only two things Buhari owes Nigerians: 1. Institutionalize anti-corruption 2. Bring back power to the people so that our votes count 100%; we then will focus on the credibility of candidates before casting our votes, party affiliations notwithstanding. When we can truly choose our reps and leaders then anybody given that opportunity will definitely not mess it up. |

I'M NOT TOTALLY SURPRISED; THE REASON THIS IS EVEN MENTIONED IS THAT JONATHAN LOST. If he were to continue beyond May 29th, you and I would never hear anything like this. The figure may not be entirely correct but the amount of money these "leaders"at all levels spend on voter inducement is mind blowing. This is the normal trend handed down from one administration to the next. -Imagine why someone should struggle so much just to be re-elected to "serve". -Power has been taken from the masses because for a very long time our votes were mere toilet papers but thank God the card readers to a large extent is reversing this retrogressive trend. -All President Jonathan needed for a re-election was good governance and transparency and just being that same man who came telling us he had no shoes. When people say he was sold out, we should remember that Jonathan disappointed millions of Nigerians from all tribes who voted for him in 2011. -I pray that Buhari will live up to expectations and return power completely to the people so much so that come 2019, every single vote will count: then these so called "leaders" would sit up knowing that a day of reckoning is coming. cheers! |

So as long as it continues to be a joke then it should be remembered over and over. RIP to the victims of Ghana Must Go and may their killers face justice either here on earth or in eternity!!! The name has evolved into some kind of normal everyday word; it is not intended to ridicule Ghana. Lots of people who use it where not even born when the deportation happened; so please do not think Nigerians intentionally making mockery of Ghana each time that bag is mentioned. |

MAJOLAUTOS: Xenophobia is an act that should be criticized as it impacts the country that encourages its presence. The king's view on immigrants is very skewed. His unfounded conclusion on effects of immigrants on his people should be questioned as it clearly caused the upheaval according to the article. This is the reason people should investigate critical thoughts of a person before electing him or her as a leader.
While immigrants may affect the economic sustenance of citizens, they contribute to development of their(the citizens') country in a number of ways - economy, education, and so on. United States is a good case study herein. The mass flow of immigrants into the United States have not only improved the economy of the country but has aided the governments monetary power through tax. Study (Migration Policy, 2015) claimed that, as of 2013, 41.3 million immigrants live in the US, another source (Social Security, 2013) stated that average yearly wage in the US as of 2013 was $44888.16. Likewise, Now and Future (2014) estimated income tax in the US to be 10.1%. Subsequently, by synthesizing the number of immigrants, wage and respective income tax, one would infer the amount of yearly payments that go into US government's coffers through immigrants.
By using the assertion in the preceding paragraph, South Africa growth could be due to the immigrants. Therefore it is safe to say the king's view is very narrow.

I wonder why their anger is limited to the black immigrants; there are many other immigrants from other continents other than Africa who have very huge enterprises in SA. |

"It is also a common knowledge that APC-controlled states have outperformed majority of the PDP-controlled states. One only needs to take a look at achievements recorded in Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Kano, Imo and compare with states such as Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa and many other states they have led to backwardness since 1999."
Nice write up I must say! I took time to go through your work and would like to point out what you might wish to confirm. 1. Amaech under PDP did all the good works he did in Rivers State but he practically abandoned the state when he was forced to join the APC and so abnadoned governance for endless fights with the Jonathans et al.
2. Akwai-Ibom State is one of the most transformed state in the nation under Gov. Akpabio; you need to visit to see for yourself.
"This is the time for PDP to start building their party for the very first time. Unlike APC, they don't have the will and enthusiasm. Just a quest to get power come 2019 (and if they fail, the rats will jump off the sinking boat faster than they came)."
You've made very good points but I think the derogatory remark above is totally uncalled for; why call fellow humans rats? (I made it bold). |

I'd like to say upfront that I'm neither of the PDP nor the APC, I'm just a fellow Nigerian who craves and hungers for good governance. Even if you were in PDP, campaigned but eventually lost; Buhari as a president elect is not that of APC but of Nigeria. Gen Buhari may have made some mistakes in the past but he's got another chance to do the right thing. Note that no one is above mistakes. All we need to do is to sheath our swords and SUPPORT HIM FULLY because his success is simply for you and I. Cheers! |

Nigeria should immediately recall her ambassador and close down her embassy in SA. This should then be followed by evacuation of Nigerians and complete severance of all diplomatic ties. Their businesses are thriving here yet they treat others like poisonous snakes. South Africa is a terribly ungrateful and horrible country!! How can they continue to kill their fellow black neighbours whose only crime would be that they aren't from SA? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Malawi, Congo, Bar South Africans From Entering Their Country by m1500: 3:06pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
oyetunder: The Angry UNDERTAKERS of South Africa:- Some South Africans are angry with the foreign nationals in their country, and now, at least five of such foreigners had been killed. Their crime according to these human hunters is that such foreigners are doing the jobs meant for all full blooded South Africans. Now the evil of unemployment has been traced to the doorsteps of people from other Nations. It has been a galore of intimidation, looting, victimisation and murder…the South Africans' mob are exploding, strangers are dying. Just like yesterday, the black South African groaned under the yokes of apartheid…their pains were global in recognition and deeply embarrassing to fellow Africans. People of African descents were united in their calls for freedom, articles were written, songs were composed, and monies were donated. Like the coming of the dawn, South Africa became a free Nation, and black South Africans were clothed in the garment of equal rights. The Country came out of her darks days a Nation well developed more than most Africa Nations-a reminder of how pure blooded Africans leaders are mere experts in the arena of economic destruction. Some Africans from other Nations left for South Africa in their bids for survival. However, this is not peculiar to South Africa, lots of Chadians, Nigeriens, Cameroonians and even the ‘almighty’ South Africans presently reside in Nigeria. As peculiar to Africans, the Blacks who are leading South Africa since their independence are gradually pulling down the economic structures erected by the colonial masters…and behold, some of their wicked citizens decided to vent their angers on the foreigners. A Zulu King called for such action, and his disciples listened...and even a son of the man who is their elected president also proclaimed cruel words needed to propel Afrophobia. The oppressed of yesterday are today's oppressors… God warned the Israelites to treat foreigners properly by remembering that they too were once victims of oppression in Egypt. Alas! The South African had confirmed the practical existence of the proverbial coward who gets hungry for a fight whenever he is lucky enough to encounter anyone he can wrestle down. Other African countries should mandate the South African leaders to checkmate their blood thirsty hooligans. If they are tired of hosting foreigners in their ‘imaginary paradise’, let them follow due process and order them to be evacuated. Yes, let South Africa be left for South Africans alone and let see if they will then become the strongest economy in the whole world. It is true; when a slave becomes the King…the city should get set for unprecedented cruelty. Good piece! |
