Though the country has failed her citizens but sabotage of any kind or magnitude is extremely act of unpatriotism, wickedness and devilish act. The people behind this must be unravelled and dealth with accordingly.
If government has failed that doesn't mean we should also fail as citizens.

The harsh truth is, until the power sector is allowed to operate profitably, it will not make enough money to fix things to a point where we can have power 24/7

It does not matter who is in power or what laws are passed, whether we decentralize the grid, or move power from concurrent list, to the 500 list.....so long as we pay for power below what it costs to produce it, we cannot have 24 hour power.

You sound professional on this matter which I will not doubt if you are but it can not work again like this in useless country like ours where the successive govts and the incumbent have been nothing but liars, ideas drained set of people and hunger for wealths accumulation ones........ People can not trust them again and as a result it will be difficult for the government to come out and say this as the huge energy bills that are going to be paid by the consumers will be believed to end up siphoned like they have successfully done in countless number of times in the past and present.

Good and steady power supply is very expensive at start and to a point, before the huge bills that will be paying by the consumers begin to reduce and become more affordable, and moreso power is not a rocket science indeed but it is a gradual thing, meaning even three to four successful terms of governance won't be able to put it where it is needed to be because it is a continuous thing and this is a part where this country has failed greatly through her successive leaderships.

Unfortunately, this is how it's going to continue because starting this power revitalization by any new government will keep appearing ambiguous and unrealizable because it is a long time of rigorous, concentrated and productive efforts and we all know Nigerian ways of governance and politics..

India is still experiencing power failure in some parts of the nation today despite continuous heavy investment in power sector over the years and with power generating capacity of about 200,000Megawatts as at present.

Lol! Nigeria, the largest and most populous african nation with power generating capacity of less than 4000Megawatts over the years of fraud and claimed heavy investment in the sector.....

Can we all see where one of the major problems of Nigeria lies?

Power energy accrues inexplicable amount of power to itself indeed, take power energy out of anything and see how that thing becomes so useless and mostly irrelevant.

Hmmmm! They always cry of subsidy removal without looking inward and critically the best way to bring down the hardship that will follow if it is done....

This is the resultant effect of long years of failure and now boxing harder than they could have imagined.

A foreign report came out recently saying that 70% of Nigerian oil proceedings over the long years ago was embezzled through corruption, and who are the people responsible for this? Are they not the same people that have continuously been within the corridors of power?

Imagine what the situation about this oil issue will be, if today the country have like 4 of the new dangote refineries operating at the full capacity. What they have embezzled would have built more than 6 even.

Even the robots made by human will never streer the wheel of a country like these brain dead people do....

Everything is dead in this country, soon hell will even be better than Nigeria.

It is going to be great disaster for so many Nigerians when getting to the world beyond without having atleast one time opportunity to visit even a developing country elsewhere to get exposed to how things are there. In this era, the richer and most populous african country is ranting and grinding teeth about power, ah ah! The stable and steady power supply will solve 50% if not more of nigerian problems.

Let him call for the peace resolutions and shun all these rantings from America and her allies... Hmmmm! Good days have really left...... Those in this pic were educated fellows with good jobs at hands then, they patronize the clubs at the end of the work or weekends and not like now that jobless ones flood the clubs with their unknown source of money.

It is unfortunate that some of the commenters here are products of religious bigotry and discrimination. The religion issue has become a very sensitive one in this country over the years that government at all levels must always quick in their responses when any arises... What is wrong in muslim children attending christian government school? Where we even have christian owned and dominated private schools enrolling muslim children. We all know that using hijab is part of muslim female dressing culture and so is allowed in almost every setting/establishment around the globe with some regulations in some...... Most of us, youths of present day Nigeria will do worse, if power is given or handed over to us because of these our ill doctrines, religious concepts and failure to understand the country's systems.

Western education has never been a sure way to success, just Nigerian way of thinking about education that has made us dwelling in that ocean of thought as no one can tell which way because the same rice "B" is selling and doing wonderfully great and "A" is swimming in the pool of poverty and wretchedness. Example of life is like a psychologist or mind reader trying to tell you exact thinking of your plans of years to come when it has never been discussed with no one before, nah they can only guess and perhaps get close and not even closer, let alone exact...
