Barca won a trophy last season and you are here comparing them with man united who last won a trophy 5 years ago
Teams currently better than Barcelona are man city Liverpool and Bayern
Now who is your club ? E no pass Chelsea Hahaha. Useless Barca. Short time remedy with auba and the likes. You re playing in Europa for the first time in how many years. Messi absence is the same as Alex ferguson retirement from United. Your illusion of resurgence will be short lived, I can tell you. |

minfelix: Oga away with nothing abg.... we just wanna wake up one morning and c Enyeama in the goal post.....you must give the young lad enough playing time/years for him to be formidable... we started enjoying eyeama from AFCON 2006 to AFCON 2010 (penalty heroics) afcon 2013 and stretching down to his retirement days That's a lie we started enjoying enyeama from get-go, his 2002 World Cup debut against England still lives fresh in our memories. The home based goalkeeper up against all mighty three lion squad. I remember the save he made from a Paul scholes shot. That experience at the World Cup literarily transformed him, he became Enyimba's top goalie leading them to back to back CAF glory. His weakness was his penalty deficiencies which he improved on subsequently at the AFCON where he saved two penalties against Tunisia. In the World Cup match against Argentina at 2010 and 2014 he was arguably the man of the match. Messi walked up to him to shake hands. |

do4luv14: give him time, he plays with worst defendersat his club, but he keep saving them,
but in SE he play with good defence, might be goalkeeper trainer issues, who knows It's one thing to defend okoye , but then it's another thing to push his blame on another person. What kind of goalkeeper trainer were the likes of Ike shoromu , Vincent enyeama and ikema having while they were replicating confidence inspiring performances. My prayers are that he has improved , I want a man of the match performance from him, it's not too much to ask for. Others do it. But I pray the Ghanaian side do not peg us down so much that we will need our goal keeper to inspire us to a favorable result. |

komekn: You are changing the narrative and talking without any substance.
We talked specifically about Zaidu and the left back position. And specifically Zaidu is not better than Antonee "Jedi" Robinson.
I substantiated my opinion with facts to anchor ⚓ my deduction upon.
I went on further to say AGAIN specifically that no of the forward players in Porto are better than Mitrovich. I beciuld add Ryan Kent, Bobby and Kebano and Fabio Carvalho.
You mentioned Liverpool FC as your benchmark with regards to player quality. Carvalho has signed pre- contract he will be a Liverpool player next season, teenager Harvey Elliott left Fulham and is a Liverpool player now.
Does that make all Fulham player's EPL quality not exactly although they will all be in the EPL next season.
The current right back for Fulham Neco Williams has 17 caps for Wales and is a Liverpool FC player.
Pepe the highest paid player in Porto at £48k , is about 40 years old and slow, not physically dominating he will not get into Fulham team.
Finally, Zaidu earns £6k a week in Porto Antonee is on £60k a week that's 10 times higher. Look at the bold, players signed by AC Milan and he has no reason to leave Fulham they are back in the EPL add to that he is contracted Fulham will not sell.
Tell me one of the Porto Midfielder that's better than Anguissa ❓
Why can your not have a substansive based discourse everything you have said is just emotive preference based on self birthed assumption.
Contend with me on facts and substance not arrant noise making please. Nothing special about Neco having played 17 games for Wales. Wales is a wack football nation Pepe at even 50 will still play for wales. But this young Neco is not good enough to play for Portugal. Fulham best players are even from wack footballing nations that's why it's easier to have those international caps. Adarabioyo is so fringe, he is only British born. Anguissa can't play for them except they are in the EPL. No other club will fancy mitrovich at his current age except Fulham He is just a very good average player for Fulham. He had been a flop by your standard at other epl teams by his goal records. The only thing Fulham provides is the money to lure these bunch of averageees to play and an opportunity to play in the epl. Thankfully aina lookman and ?? benefited from this |

COOL10: I remember the commentator's remarks about Iheanacho yesterday. He said ' Now that is what you need from a Centre Forward, brilliant.' This was even before the goal.
Like I said earlier, only top notch coaches will know how to use a player like Iheanacho. It's very easy for a coach to regard him as useless just because they don't know how to use him but that's on them, not him.
This has nothing to do with him changing his game to suit a coach's tactics but has everything to do with the coach refusing to be stagnant and taking that bold step to educate himself on how to use Iheanacho. Players like him are rare. Very rare.
Of course some people will ask ' Who is Iheanacho that a coach should learn how to use him?'. Mention the top coach to unlock his potential? |

Cameroon without the best went somewhere. Nigeria without the best went somewhere. You are the one hiding from Reality.
Stop making false statement. No one in this thread talked about gathering carpenters. You are just trying to make stuff up to sound cool. The gap then wasn't much. I mean the gap between footballing African nations and their counterparts in Europe and South America Today there is a growing gap, we talk about how football is no longer an art anymore, but rather scientific. This simply reality will leave many African countries struggling to meet up with their footballing counterpart nations from other continent. Someone here said the era of finding a Maradona at Ajegunle is gone. Players are properly groomed in this European academy with a watchful eyes on everything they do from nutrition(think about Nigeria where people never see better food chop na him you won dey select diet for one young football player), psychologist (who are able to understand a players mental health and motivate them), to other advanced scientific calculations that requires even academic experts to help coordinate( Liverpool employed a physics professor from Oxford to make some analysis regarding how Salah would fit into Liverpool before signing him) Europe has set the standard. Even South America with more natural talents than Africa understands this. When was the last time a south American team won the world cup? It's not about talents anymore. Argentina and Brazil at the early 2000s will not have players in lower teams in Europe playing for them, but today they have players from Aston Villa, Everton, Brighton &Hove etc. What does that tell you? Today's Footballing African nations lacks the financial capacity to compete with the European. Although we do produce talents, but it's not just about talent. look no further than one of the most talented player from the under 17 recently in the person of Kelechi Iheanacho. He was so gifted with his natural abilities but as he has advanced , we can see his shortfalls sometimes as regards his ball control that gets one wondering how and why and I could understand him due to his trajectory of hard times growing up, he could have been better at this in a much more stable environment, but let's even be grateful that his skills were good enough to allow him join the under 17 and lets assume that he didn't have to pay bribes to NFF officials to be chosen . this are the sort of problems we keep facing here. And I dare say that we can't catch up today or tomorrow. I've lost interest in CAF champions league as a Nigerian because we don't have any Enyimba structured team anymore . Egypt (North Africa) and South Africa have better leagues than Cameroon, Nigeria, ivory coast, Senegal and a host of other west African nations. While these west African nations boast of talents yet economic struggles and corruption will not allow for a fully utilized collection of players from the local leagues |

Can’t wait for almeria to gain promotion next season I'm certainly jumping inside this ship/team. I believe his little experience from AFCON is also helping him. With the coaching crew trying to help tweak some aspect of his game. I saw a pic from a conversation between Eguavone and this guy where Eguavone said he should play to make assist and not play to score which can create some anxiety when it's not happening. I'm sure many other things like this would have been said to him. I believe so much in his abilities to excel. He is a goal scoring Kanu-esque player |

I do not care whether it was Rohr's instruction or not. Simon Moses has not ever performed as good as he did in this AFCON ever.
I am not saying he is a poor player. I am saying Rohr's negative tactics prevented him from excelling.
Here from Simon Moses.
There's a reason why Moses equally started almost every game under Rohr. He was good and maybe intelligent enough to understand Rohr better than the others.
Many here tagged him "defensive winger" under rohr.
“It’s one of my best games in the last two years. We changed the coach and tactics.”
“Every coach has his own mentality. With the current coach (Eguavoen), he gave me the freedom to express myself. It really helped me a lot”...Simon Moses |

We would beat Ghana with the same players from AFCON. All that matters is tactics. Ghana will not integrate all the new players intended quickly before that game. We are better structured. If we are lucky we get an early goal and revert to counterattack. If the Ghanaian side isn't fighting hard enough, we can come out to play and dominate them. It is all tactics.
Every player has to be on their "A" game. I'm also worried about Osimhen he has been the darling boy but sometimes he can be so aggressive in the big game and pick up a redcard. I really fear this negative thought. But hopefully, he realizes he doesn't have to be involved with every play but just be clinical on that day. If you get one chance bury it. If you get two chances do the needful. I doubt that the new European-African coach of Ghana understands the nitty-gritty of African football. Yeah he coached a Reading side that used to play rough and hard back then, but how quickly he will be able to achieve that pattern with Ghana will be a huge deal |
