You have TA Orji, the uba brothers,Orji Kalu, Ikpeazu, Okorocha, and others nitwits in your region yet it is Tinubu that's giving you headache.. My observations on this issue...
1.Its like we have two laws in the land, one for the north and one for the south, because how can people kill someone and protest when reprimanded but no one is shot or have his village and homes burnt by security people like is sadly observed in the other southern regions.

2. We need to state clearly which laws supersedes the other in the land, is it religious law or constitutional laws? We need to also know if it should be applied homogenously or heterogeneously across all regions of the land.
We need this clarification once and for all.

Embargo on data instead of making it more affordable is the same reason why countries like India will remain top in ICT. Imagine the numbers gigabytes of data you need to learn one skill online yet our people want to make it harder and unaffordable for the common man.

Try not to be a common man in this present day Nigeria Sha.

Root cause analysis... What's making yiu have that phobia? Have you been kidnapped before or it's just stories you read online? For every 1 person that's kidnapped on a Nigerian road, over a thousand have passed there without any issue.

If you are financially buoyant, have you considered hiring private security for the trip? Also limiting your travels to day only(since you said it's 4 hrs away). Kidnapping happens, but it's very rare you'd be a victim as the probability of you being randomly kidnapped is very very low. Except informants are on your matter.

Don't lose a good girl for something you can think up a solution on.

The roadblock from PH to Aba alone, especially after eleme Junction to the boundary imo River, it's like 1checkpoint/100 meters and you have to pay like 100 naira for buses and 500 to 1k for trucks. It's crazy and a sorry sight. This is the same reason transportation and goods are on the rise as business owners will push the cost to the final consumers.

They can have checkpoints, but not so much as it currently is now.

If he didn't make any impact in this lackluster regime, why should we then hand another eternity to him to effect a change?i feel like he should step aside for someone fresh, so we can have new ideas.

Also he will be too indebted to the current sets of "problems" we already have.

Nigerians complain too much.... Allow market forces determine price. By the time like 80% of their present customers don't resubscribe no one will tell them to revert to old price. The more you accept indiscriminate price increases and pay, the more they keep repeating same thing.
Don't sub, you won't die. Use the free time to read books and do other productive things.

Calm down, good sir.

And at the end of the day, the crude and everything used to give diesel has to be paid for at the market price.

Or would you do your work for free so that poor people can enjoy your services because that's what you are arguing for.

You keep mixing things up, no one said such refined products should be free. What we are saying is, the hyperinflation on refined products should not have affected the Nigerian market if we have efficient refining capabilities. We have crude oil already refining it shouldn't be rocket science. Do you also know that Nigeria can invest in a floating refinery to cut cost of crude transportation to inland refineries? See attached.

With $5bn we can get a medium one and ramp up our refining capability. Let's stop defending mediocrity if we truly want to grow as a nation.

Music/Radio / Re: Radio Stations Cut Down On Operationals Hours Due To High Cost Of Deisel by macaranta(m): 1:27pm On Mar 26, 2022

You've forgotten 2 things.

1. The oil being drilled is not free... It is sold as it leaves the jetty to fulfil long term contracts. These businesses that own OMLs are not charity businesses and the crude is sold to continue to recoup their cost used to buy that oil minining area. Its quite easy to say things when you're on the outside... Like no one EVER thought about what you are thinking about.

2. NIGERIA is part of OPEC, we have a restricted output, moreover over mines its oil capacity and stores the excess... Every govt buys their fuel storage from the oil companies... Everything is paid for... Nothing is free because it grows in your backyard.

Bro, I am a mechanical engineer that have worked in the oil and gas industry so I know what I'm talking about.

The point you referenced in one above is, I assume under futures contract of which Nigeria is already benefiting. A futures contract will sell crude to a destination country at a fixed cost for a long period of time e.g 20years before it is reviewed. Nnpc is a jv in almost all the omls, they retain a large percentage which is for regulatory and monitoring purposes, not everything drilled must be sold. It's that simple.

Your point Opec regulations refers to exports not local consumption restrictions. You are capped at exportation so as to regulate price not that it's to starve the local market or the necessary raw materials for their own refineries.

Diesel and pms is sold at a fair rate already, no Nigerian has ever demanded that it should be free so I don't know what the other dude is on about "poor people". Most poor people don't even have need for diesel, just petrol.

So, should domestic producers of crude keep crude prices down 'to help poor Nigerians'?

Would you reduce prices of what you sell, assuming you are a businessman 'to help poor Nigerians'

And does my accepting the reality of capitalism mean that I am suddenly a Buhari supporter?

Swerve please. Many countries that produce crude sell it at a high price. Unless you want diesel to be subsidised again...something that ended in 2013...and something that if reinstated would drive us into more debt.

Are you well? You want to argue about something you know nothing about. Who owns the refineries before you start talking about capitalism, I hope you know your usage of capitalism for a government owned asset(refinery) is out of place. A sensible government will produce excess refined products, enough for local consumption and make profits from exports. When you have raw materials readily available, that has solved 80% production cost. Capitalism will only apply to say dangote refinery and not refineries built from tax payers money

True, Buhari should have done something about our refineries, but if we were refining fuel at home, the cost of diesel would still have been high because of the high cost of crude oil

Stop defending nosnse. High cost of crude? Do we import crude?

Could have been an honest mistake, maybe a faulty underground storage system. Were you the first person ever they sold water to? A station that's been existing? Common sense should guide us from this unnecessary social media craze. Posting people's hard earned business reputation online, pray they don't sue you after proofing the water incident wasn't deliberate.

Hmm, small money you say. Men are in sizes, what is small to you maybe gargatun to someone else. #230K is quite a huge sum. lt can change my life.

My point is, it makes zero financial sense. Taking a loan with almost double digit interest rate to be paid back in less than a month. It's inexplicable. With the current inflation rate, 20k burns faster than you can say jack so why take a loan on it?

If you can drive, get an Uber (not necessarily your car) gather up some money to clear the debts and see if you can revamp your business from money saved up there.

Hi every one, l have been a nairalander for over 10 years and have seen people get advised here, thats why l am putting this up with my account.
I am not blaming anybody for my predicament, neither do l blame the loan app company for their shark like business sytle, l take responsibility for my actions. I am one of those people who criticized people for Falling into the trap of online loan company. It's basically a rat race syndrome and tends to take you deeper and deeper from the seemingly innocuous first attempt.

It all started when my side hussle of buying and selling food stuff suffered a decreased in cost of replacement due to inflation and my sales boy stealing my money. I took my first loan to boost my business and realized that the cost of the loan is high. Since then, it's been a malicious cycle of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I realized that l was lossing money in each transcation and in order to meet up with my payment to avoid defaulting, l resorted to other loan company. Now, l don't even no what to do, all cash injection coming to me is spent on servicing the loan. I can't even feed my family and pay my children school fees. I am tire of this scenario and want to break free. It has taken a toil on me physically, mentally and spiritually.

I seek advice from people who have gone thru this ugly experience on how to break free before it is too late. Below is the list of my indebtness:

Ucredit #22,976. 15.03.22(due date)
Oxloan #26,250. 17.03.22
Lcredit #60,000. 17.03.22
Eazycredit #58,904. 21.03.22
imoney. #20,242 24.3.22
Okash #42,416. 31.3.22

I welcome any useful suggestion on how to break free. Thanks

What do you guys achieve with all these small small monies?
