This is why life evolved in the first place, to conserve energy, which is what we do best when we stay alive!

Death of any and all living systems means -metabolic equilibrium with the environment. Since the environment is always at higher entropy than conserved system (life forms), death will therefore add to the chaos of the environment. Meaning, death will lead to release of energy, increase in energy is increase in entropy of the environment.

So once again, where is the contradiction?
