The curfew was first stated by 5pm after the attack on the Orile Police station. Then an order to clear the tollgate must have been passed. After that the governor extended it to 9pm, and it wasn't communicated with the military - a Nigerian factor. When that curfew was declared I knew that that tollgate would be cleared.
As for you, please anytime there is a curfew declared in Nigeria, you must not obey it. If you obey it you are a coward. Trust one crazy law enforcement will show you whats up.

Show us prove an order must have been passed.

So as at the time the military massacred those guys, they did not break any law.

Endsars has come and gone. Sad some people had to die. Kudos to Premiumtimes for at least making a remembrance of these people. If there is any lesson that should be learnt is this. "Obey a curfew" "Obey law and Order'. When a government says depart, depart. If nobody obeys the government anymore, then we have a failed state. I can assure you this is far better than the tokunbo you got.

Did doctor mention any number of dead people? Let's start from there.
Then, about the shootings, when did it become a crime or an act of massacre for soldiers to shoot into the air? We all saw the video clips of the shootings. Even CNN and their propaganda video clip didn't show killings, massacre or dead bodies.
So, from your own understanding, there was massacre because you BELIEVED that killings took place. And the numbers don't matter, we just need to brand it a massacre. That's like you're just throwing the word MASSACRE around

First of all, the Lagos State governor admitted that two people died in the shooting.

Let me even stick with his narrative and assume that only two people died.

It is enough to call what happened masaacre since from the definition emphasis was never on the number but the circumstances surrounding the killings. Even one person can be massacred.

Was there a shooting : YES

Was there death: yes,Sanwolu Said Two

Were the victims HELPLESS: They were armless civilians engaging in peaceful protest.

WERE THE VICTIMS UNRESISTING: Yes,they sat down, waving Nigerian flags and singing the National Anthem.

I understand this action was taken after the doctor at Reddinton Hospital testified that they admitted many people during the incident.

Infact he said their facilities in Lekki and V.I. were overwhelmed with victims during the incident. He said he personally treated about six people wom he gave their names.

There have been an ongoing debate whether there was a massacre or not.

I decided to take a look at the meaning of the word "MASSACRE".

From Miriam's Webster dictionary (ONLINE)

MASSACRE: The act or an instance of killing a number of usually helpless or unresisting human beings under circumstances of atrocity or cruelty.

From this definition, we can deduce that the emphasis is.not necessarily on the number as there were no specific range of numbers mentioned before it can be branded a MASSACRE. It simply said " A NUMBER", meaning the number could be "TWO" or "A BILLION" .

The key words to note here are
1. HELPLESS 2.UNRESISTING.

1. HELPLESS:. With respect to the Lekki incident, the victims were completly and absolutely helpless. They were unarmed civilians who were simply showing love for their country by protesting the extortion, intimidation and extra judicial killings of a rogue unit of the NPF, which the authorities have refused to take a decisive action to stem this cancer despite public out cry for years.

2. UNRESISTING: With respect to the Lekki incident, the armless civilian protesters were unresisting in the face of the military. They sat down when fire was opened, waving their flagis and singing the National anthem, simply showing patriotism in the face of threat. There was no form of resistance, since they were already sitting down, it was very easy for the military to round them up together and prosecute them for what ever offence they committed but no, shots were fired instead.

From this deductions and with recent revelation from the doctor at Reddinton, we can comfortably say there was a "MASSACRE" at Lekki toll gate.

Those confusing themselves with number, the definition of massacre did not specify any number but rather layed emphasis on the circumstances surrounding the killings.

Indeed , there was #LEKKIMASSACRE
