But why is it that some people in this life who have succeeded in achieving something will never want you to be like them or even better. So someone is feeding hubby's mind with questions like, if u get this Canadian permanent residence ehn, how will u cope in a new country. U want to give up ur good job here to go and be white man's servant abi? How will u pay flight tickets(did we tell them we are coming to borrow money from them?). Meanwhile the person asking hubby all these nonsense questions left her job of monthly take home of over 500k and ran to America to start a new life. Nah my own star she wan dim, I jump and pass

With him, I will have 423 while without him, is 442

happytbaby:
Sleekysilk....it is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of change.... if there are issues assessing his Bsc, he may be unable to use it to work in Canada. That's issue 1, men take pride in being able to provide for their wives, they want to be a 'man'. Every man will wonder if he will fit into the workforce easily., even women have that fear.

You know the things men think about ....the life is different in Canada fah....the typical Nigerian man drives his family home from Church on a Sunday afternoon and goes to lie down in bed or sit in front of the tv while the woman starts going in several directions immediately, cooking, minding kids etc. Now consider living in Canada where there is no help (or the average family cannot afford to hire help) and everyone has to pitch in....that is change.

Scenario 3....Men will go and hang out with friends, come back after two or three bottles of beer or shots of Hennessy , red wine etc....in Canada, if you even find such hang outs with friends, you'd better take a cab home or find someone to drop you off.

Sometimes, its narrow range of experience and for someone like me, I shudder at the thought of such "cold".

Enough derailing the thread ...@ Macy4real200, you may still try to work on getting him aboard, because the process of getting him over later is so long and its stressful being the only one doing everything in oyinboland. However, if all else fails, carry your kaya without him. What is your score with the option of 'accompanying spouse'?

Are u below 29, then av u worked for 3 years or more. Why not use a secondary sch cert for him. Cos I tried that for u n got 440 with u getting high scores in IELTS

Thanks alot. This is encouraging

sleekysilk:

Refused? No ECA because of BSc issues, yet refused to do IELTS. Thank God he consented to non-accompanying. I'll gladly click it. When I land in Canada, we'll begin to process family sponsorship and he should be able to join you in 12-24 months.

Thanks. Will explore all avenues

Everything is possible my dear. If your point drop below the ITA threshold, then you may have to rethink FSW route and explore PNP. However, you can try EE alone and explore other means of bringing him to Canada in the near future. I think the buck stops here. Truly speaking, it's yours to research. Good luck!

Evening seniors and juniors like me. I have a matter that is weighing me down. My husband has refused to register for ielts. He also has an issue with his BSc result so he can't even do ECA. Based on this, he asked me to apply alone with only our son as accompanying. Now the issue is, how would he eventually join us when I relocate with our son. If I apply with him as accompanying without ielts and eca from him, my score will drop. Am so confused right now. Besides, I've not really heard testimonies of married people relocating without their spouses.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 10:55am On Dec 02, 2017
Am so happy right now. I wrote to WES telling them to forget about sending my ECA through intl courier. That I will rather pay 7 dollars for standard mail. Initially, I was to pay them 322.05 for my evaluation. I was surprised to log in this morning and see they had changed my payment amount to 233.97 dollars. Am so excited. I've saved over 20k. Thanks guys. You made me realise I could use the e-result WES will send pending when the hard copy arrives

I'm just thinking of creating a new WES account since I can't edit the payment part. Besides, I've not sent them any document yet. Let me save some money biko

mcstan18:

No too vex. The money would be worth it in the end
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 5:18pm On Nov 29, 2017
I've tried all that, no way. No place to edit the payment. I just dey vex for myself

mcstan18:

Since you haven't paid, I think you can still edit that option by clicking on the "Modify my order" button on your WES account (see the attached image for reference). It isn't editable for me but I guess it's because I've already made payment

No problem as long as card is adequately funded and payment is transmitted. Ive used Naira debit card for wes a couple of times.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 3:49pm On Nov 29, 2017
So grateful, do u know I stupidly chose courier that will cost me extra 85 dollars. And I've submitted my WES application and yet to pay. Don't know if there is a way I can edit the payment to chose the standard mail of 7 dollars? Any ideas?
mcstan18:

YES! You can. I think First bank has been having issues lately with card payment gateways cos I also faced same problem. Initially, I thought the problem was from WES that I almost attempted dollar transfer that would've cost me circa $25. However, I decided to try a colleague's GTBank card and voila! it went through.

So speaking from direct experience, you may proceed without fear.

PS: The Naira equivalent of what was deducted was about 69k, in case you wanted to ask

Cheers!

My husband used MOD. No hassles at all.. As per picking speaking test date, i think he was offered two options and he chose the preferred one.

Thanks new mum. Am diving in with it noc 6411. 2008-2012 covers 3 years experience and is still within 10yrs nah.
Regards

Newmum0615:
Then what are you waiting for? Use that one sharpaly. 2012 still falls within 10 years, so you are good to go. You don't need payslips if the ref letter is provided in CIC format.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 3:04pm On Nov 27, 2017
Thanks. I called my former boss where i worked in a printing press as business development manager (2008-2012) to ask if he can give me a reference letter for this purpose. He told me he will gladly do it. So am going with noc 6411as it best suits what I did in the past. Just hope the period in question is still valid. Besides, am wondering if I should still put the banking experience in personal history. I can provide my employment letter and salary acct print out to prove this. What do u think

dfanz:
Head of operations is NOC 0122. Cash officer/Head teller is 1112. Teller is 1434 which unfortunately does not qualify for FSW. Be careful with the periods you performed each job role bearing in mind that tellers in most banks are outsourced and the bank may not give you a reference covering this period.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 10:10am On Nov 27, 2017
You see why I am totally confused. Is only customer service manager that falls under B. However, I worked for about 4 years in a printing press as head, business development executive. Don't know if I should just use that one. Though I resigned since 2012 from there. I can still get reference letter from my former boss. But
I may not be able to access payment slips. What's ur take on that.
dannio:

This is tricky here it means you may have done three jobs if l am not mistaken

Teller service representative
Cash Teller Service supervisor
Customer Service Manager or Operations Manager

Correct me if l am wrong

So it has gone beyond NOC 6314.Your reference letter or so will carry 3 job functions/Job title.Let give a picture l worked in a Bank.l started as a teller service represenative then l was transfered to Business Banking AKA Marketing and stationed as Personal Banking Officer. My reference letter carried the two Job functions but l input only Personal Banking Officer with the experience to claim points because it is under NOC B while l put the teller service Rep under personal work history because it is NOC C
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 10:05am On Nov 27, 2017
Yes I was a senior teller

Newmum0615:
Hmm, that's a bit tricky cos of the "not up to 1 year ish". Before you became Ops Head, where you strictly a cash/FT teller? or did you double as a Cash Officer/Senior teller?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 9:57am On Nov 27, 2017
Thanks for always coming to my aid. My job function includes, paying and receiving cash from customers, funds transfer etc. But recently became a head of operations which I see under NOC 6314 category B. But am not up to 1 year officially as a supervisor. So a bit confused if I should use it or not

dannio:

What are your job function. What kind of teller work are you doing or did you do.

Let me come in here. What are your job functions.Kindly state them.Grade and Job title/functions are two different things.Reduce the focus you have on your grade and focus on your job function so that you will get the appropriate job title
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 9:52am On Nov 27, 2017
U see, I do operations job in a bank, pay customers, do funds transfer etc. Recently became a head of operations. Duties including authorizing tellers transfer and general office coordination. That can be found in NOC 6314. But am just new on this duties. So don't know if I should go with NOC 6314

Newmum0615:
Hello Macy4real200,
Your job role most likely falls under the NOC below which in turn is NOC C which also in turn does not qualify under FSW. Others should please weigh in, I can't be certain that I am right.

1434 - Banking, insurance and other financial clerks

Good morning seniors and juniors like me. Pls I need help. Can't seem to find a NOC that suits a bank teller. Any idea from the house pls. Has any operations staff of a bank completed his EE profile? Pls help a sister. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 9:02am On Nov 27, 2017
I really need your help. Have been searching the NOC for what suits the job function of a teller in a bank to no avail. Do you have any idea? Do you know any teller that has filled the EE profile? I wish to pick the right noc. Pls house help me

quote author=Bsbabe post=62747738]

I am not clear on what you mean by typing appropriate job title. Where are you typing that? If you look through the NOC and it fits your job functions, simply adopt it and anywhere you are asked what your NOC is, you input 6235 - Financial Sales Representatives. However, when you are asked about your current job in particular e.g. start date, current job title, then you can state that you are an Assistant Banking Officer.

Let me cite an example. In my case, my NOC is 0122 - Banking, Credit and Other Investment Managers and this is what I selected for NOC but my current job title is Head, xxxxxxxx. I hope this helps. [/quote]

Just saw ur response. Am new on nairaland so don't really understand how to. Pm and check response. Thanks a lot. Am paying on Monday. Will just use WES since the school advice so. But people have been complaining that WES asked them to upload their waveland BSc. I only want to evaluate my MBA. Someone advice me to fill only my MBA and forget the degree and SSCE. just hope they won't bother me to get my BSc and ssce

dannio:

The process has changed, improved l must say it is now done online.

When l started mine last year l had to go to their office in Jabi Abuja to submit my application along with payment receipt and also collect my certificate which l had not collected and Note PG School was Lagos. So they did their part then sent to PG School and PG School did their part and forwarded to IQAS.l started the process October 31st and concluded and recieved soft copy around end of January. So in between.

The process is now done on line so l believe they will deal and respond promptly.

Thanks. Really don't know why I can't contact u directly. I called the pg school and they said they prefer WES cos they are presently having issues with IQAS. That's why am confused. Really wanted to use IQAS since you got a positive evaluation from them. Haven't heard of any noun student that used WES.
dannio:

If you have decided on WES go ahead with WES,if you want IQAS the choice is yours. You PMed me and l responded to your PM but no futher communication.

l have noticed for sometime now when l am PMed and l respond there is no further response. Is there a problem with PM channel of communication?

Good evening house, pls I need ur help. Am creating my WES profile and they asked me to include my secondary and first degree info. Meanwhile is only my MBA I intend sending for assessment. Should I fill in only my MBA data or I can fill in from secondary education, degree education then my masters but just send only MBA transcript. Also, do they accept notification of result as my certificate is not ready yet. Awaiting ur responses. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Macy4real200: 1:29pm On Nov 18, 2017
Thanks for your response. I really appreciate. Will start the process immediately. One more thing, how long did it take for NOU133946268 to send your transcript to IQAS for evaluation. I intent to apply for it next week

dannio:

No time wasting embark on your MBA evaluation with WES.I did mine with IQAS and it was evaluated.

Your degree does not matter.Do the needful your evaluation, write your IELTS and dive into the pool.l read chemistry and l have an MBA too from NOUN which was evaluated like l said and l also worked in a bank like many others.l was in the pool. The ITA net come and l was inside now l am at Post ITA=Post AOR holding my breathe watching, keeping vigil and waiting for my PPR
