Your visit visa refusal won’t affect it. There’s no travel ban in your refusal letter and no case of fraud so you should be fine. I had similar visit visa refusal and didn’t have any issues with getting my student visa. Just ensure your POf is genuine and don’t remove the funds in between your visa application. You should get a positive outcome. Good luck.

You can check on rightmove, zoopla and spareroom. Studios are within affordable prices in Birmingham, housing in Birmingham are relatively affordable.

If it was ulster sef eh, I wouldn’t be pained because the tuition is lower and they give very good discounts and scholarships, so it doesn’t hurt but I paid a lot of fees and I should get value for it. The most painful part is their misleading rating online, only to see that it is a total different case. So far, I am the only Nigerian in my class and all my other Indian/Chinese classmates are all complaining. A case of what I ordered versus what I got, lol.
I have decided to console myself with the fact that it is japa that I just used it to japa and rest.
The reality is unless you don’t really want much from the education, you will be pained like me that you are not getting value for the money you paid in tuition.

You won’t really understand sha. Since from all I said, all you chose to pick out is what you have picked out. All I can say is experience is the best teacher and I am not in any position and can never choose for anyone. I couldn’t care less if anyone takes what I say with a pinch of salt or a bag of garri. I have given my own experience and again the school is NOT worth the amount of tuition I paid. I could have gotten better quality education and experience for the price paid.
Anyone else can come and experience it, I’m not paying fees for the person.
Like Duchess rightly said, I am in the wrong, I should have done proper research before settling for it, again, I was desperate at the time and had limited options.
Maybe I haven’t put my issues with the school properly here but it’s a lot more than what I have written. Again, experience is the best teacher and everyone is welcome to pay millions to experience it.

You mention if you miss lectures too many times… reallly? So they should be quiet that a student fails to come to class so many times?? Are you a student truly then?

You are a full time student and not part time.
Or because the school’s landscape is not over 100 hectares of land?as for expenses, no one has it easy in London.

As long as you are in London you will deal with the high cost of living, so again what is the issue?
Honestly if I were a student I will take your review with a pinch of salt as you have yet to present any real issues with this school.

Per the timetable, I’ve written a lot of emails and went to complain in person but they said it’s the requirement of my visa for me to have that much contact hours with the university in person. I am in shock because I have friends studying in other schools and they only have lectures two times a week.
It’s was being here that I went to read the reviews on google and it’s just bad as well.
I hope some people learn from my mistake. 14,900 is just a lot of money not to get value for.

Back to your question, changing Uni at this point will be very difficult, you have to provide enough reasons with evidence to show why you want to such as Racism etc. The reasons you gave here to an extent are not justified because they expect that you have made enough research to come to the Uni,others can be resolved for instance
in terms of changes in timetable and unruly lecturers or staff this is something you can report to any student union officer to take up, that's one of their major roles

At the moment you can try to see if you can change departments (if at all) to one that could be better

Honestly, UWL wasn’t my first choice, if you read my visa alert post you’d maybe understand why I settled for it but now I’m just in regrets. I informed the Student union and they said the only way I can receive a refund is if I come back to Nigeria and I will only get 50% of my tuition, alternatively if I have plenty money I can pay tuition for another school and reapply for another visa whilst I am here but I won’t get a refund for that, instead I will be owing UWL!!!. I can’t do either so I am accepting my fate and will just finish. I just pray the certificate will be useful as the school No just get any level for here at all. Maybe it will have level in Nigeria but I don’t have plans of coming back to settle there.
Laspotech is way bigger than this school in terms of landscape, actually no comparison at all. The ealing campus is just like house on the rock in lekki while the brenthfort campus is one big company like building with multiple floors. It’s just as if I am in a polytechnic with the amount of money I paid. It’s so painful. I visited a friend in Roehampton Uni, my Gosh, you should see that school!! That is an actual university!! So big with the accommodations in it and all. That’s where I was trying to transfer to. And the standard is so great, very well respected and they have given me admission but I can’t do anything with it now.

Having been in the Uk for over two months now studying at University of west London, I will like to advise admission seekers to opt for better options, only come to UWL if it’s your last resort or you don’t have any other option because the fees are too much for such a waste. Firstly, this school should not be a University but a polytechnic or college. The non academic staffs are super rude and the finance team are on another level. Once you get here, even after paying 10k tuition deposit, they will harass you for the balance of your tuition. The environment where the school is, housing cost is over the roof. Any money you are working will go to accommodations unless you have a family member to stay with. Timetable is adjusted at will and very annoying. Imagine having a class at 9am- 10am and another one at 5.30pm to 7.30pm! They will ensure you come to school up to four times a week. If you miss lectures too many times, they will send you emails threatening to send you back to your country oo. Lecturers will take forever to reply your email, I don’t know who gave them the award for student experience but that thing is audio. Forget about scholarships and tuition discounts.
If you are already coming to UWL, I will advise you to bring enough money along o. Again, UWL should be any admission seeker’s last resort because the school No be am at all. Total waste of all that money I must say. I have been researching ways to transfer and if I can get a refund of my tuition or the tuition is sent to another school. Please if you have any information on changing schools kindly help me please.

Were you referred to an agent because I was and they have given me a deadline of July 5th to get back to them.

After admission was given. UWL is a good school but it’s an expensive environment. And once you get here, you need to pay the tuition balance in the first three months of study plus London is generally expensive. I hope you had a plan or bring good funds with you o.

Don’t worry, latest by Friday next week you’d come and testify.
That’s how I was feeling last week Friday when people were dropping their visa alerts especially people we did biometrics together. In total, mine took almost 7 weeks.

Yes, I got a refund but they all took out a fee for administration and it was painful, took time as well.
The whole process was draining to be honest but I thank God it ended in praise.

It’s been a long and bumpy journey but God has been good to me.
Applied for a visiting visa and got denied in October 2021 for lack of evidence of sources of funds and travel history.
Started the student visa process immediately with hopes of japa-ing in January.
I’m a third class holder and didn’t want premasters because of the funds involved so I started applying to different schools, Coventry was the first to give me admission but the fees was just too high. Oxford Brooke’s followed with Birmingham city uni and I chose Oxford Brooke’s because it was direct masters for management in health and social care with 13,900 tuition fees. Paid the tuition deposit and then they refused me cas because I declared my previous visa refusal to their Isat, they said they were afraid I will get another refusal. I was so devastated cos at the them they did this, I had already missed Coventry’s deadline(Dec 18th). I already had my tb test result and had to start all over applying to schools and looking for Jan start. I eventually got University of west London and sunderland the same time. Sunderland also refused me cas because of my previous visa refusal. I had to go UWL even with the 10k deposit required. Did their precas interview and passed but they too denied me cas because of my previous visa refusal! At this point I didn’t know what to do again, time was going, pof was ready and only cas remained. I now sent them a very lengthy mail explaining myself and situation that moved them and they offered me a deferment instead to June as I wasn’t going to be able to make January start when they responded. They gave me a new offer and issued my cas on the 9th of April.
Biometrics was on the 11th of April
1st paid mail 11th of may, no decision made
Got slammed with NSF mail requesting nothing on the 13th of May
Second paid mail 17th of May no decision
Third paid mail 24th of may, decision made
Application transferred to VAC on the 26th of May
Collection mail same 26th
Picked up today
Tls-VI
Documents submitted: cas, pof, waec certificate, passport data page and bsc certificate(self service).
5years study gap.

It doesn’t always happen, but I know someone that it happened to earlier on this year, they asked him to log into his bank app to show he had the funds needed, thankfully he did. It’s rare but it happens sometimes.

Please I want to ask, if you submit a visa application can you continue to use the account submitted for pof? Transactions into the submitted pof because the pof submitted is way more than the calculated funds required. My pof required is 9m I submitted a pof with 11.5 and I’ve been having inflow and outflow but it has never gone below 11m. I’m just a bit worried as I got an nsf mail today requesting nothing and it’s been over a month since my biometrics.

Check university of West London, but their tuition deposit is 10k.

All uk visas are taking longer than usual at the moment.. if it’s been up to six weeks since your application and you’ve not gotten any response you can send a paid mail. Most people are now receiving decisions between 4-6 weeks after biometrics for now.

You shouldn’t have attached the statement for your Gtb if it didn’t contain your pof, if they needed additional information for your previous visa refusal, you would have received a nsf mail. If you still have your pof intact, you have to proceed with the administrative review after clarifying with GTb because this refusal has a 10year ban on it.

POF account was a different bank entirely so money there wasn’t touched. The GTBank statement was just added to addressed the issue of the visitors visa refusal since they needed clarifications and the statement of account submitted was totally genuine
