IGBOSON1:

^^^Let me get you right: the only problem you have with Ndigbo is that some of them engage in 'empty chest beating'.....am i correct? And that if some Igbo don't 'run their mouth like a broken tap' you'd be ok with them contesting any elective position in Lagos? Is your argument that Igbos should learn from the Yoruba brotherly, caring and Christianly disposition towards Igbos from the 60s to date?

When you say Yorubas are 'highly accommodating people', what do you mean exactly? Are you invariably saying that Igbos should be eternally grateful to Yorubas' because they're not being bombed in the South West unlike what we see in the North? Are you saying that Nigeria has a default setting that sees Igbos as an endangered people, and since Yorubas are not keeping to the default setting of slaughtering Igbos, we should then be grateful to them?

You should be grateful. All ibos should be grateful to the Yorubas, Hausas, minorities, etc allow them in their lands.

^^^What's the purpose of uploading these pics?

This is one of the downsides of the accommodating nature of the Yorubas. On another thread, NgoziEverdumb is questioning this same disposition of the Yoruba to accept others and let them thrive. Is there no democracy in Kano? Why have ibos not been canvassing for a governorship position there? A hell storm of violence and pogrom needs to be brought on these leeches and eboela pests just like the northerners have done since time immemorial. Ahmadu Bello was right after all.

Hunger don hammer am! What can you say when even a whole Ribadu has gone to cut his share of national cake? To grovel at the feet of GEJ and in Aso Rock? With PEJ, Annenih, Bode George? They will all be laughing at him because what he sees now, they saw years ago and have been feeding fat on it while Ribadu was deceiving himself with some corrupt police work!

Politics / Re: “You Are Subjecting Ndigbo To Perpetual Beggarly Status”–APC Blasts Igbo Leaders by madamoringo(f): 12:44pm On Aug 18, 2014
HappyJoe: I'm surprised that as late as August 2014, APC hasn't told Ndigbo what its plans for the Southeast are:

1. Will they expand the Enugu airport done by Jonathan?
2. What do they intend to do about the 2nd Niger Bridge - if tolling is an issue, will they abolish tolls?
3. What are their plans for roads in the Southeast - do they have an emergency action plan?
4. How do they intend to help the Southeast/South South with sea ports, do they have a plan?

Instead of dealing with substantive issues, they are majoring on minor issues like whether an Igbo man would be running mate or VP. Let me remind them that NO Igbo man has governed Nigeria for 44 years, Ekwueme was Shagari's VP and Okadigbo was Buhari's running mate - so we're not stupid, we know who our enemies are!

APC is not a serious party and this Osita Okechukwu fellow is not a serious person - this "chop sand nonsense theory" is simply juvenile rubbish. Is it supposed substitute for no plans, policies and programs to sell to Ndigbo?

Ibos are untrustable snakes! They have given their lives to GEJ and PDP after failing to ever build a political party or political base. The north and west have more stakes and clout in PDP than ibos, only now with GEDaft that truth seems to be lost on you. APC knows ibos have already pledged their lives to GEJ, it will be falling into a trap to expect ibos to be of any value to the APC. APC should have nothing and will not meddle with the PDP arrangement of the 2nd Niger Bridge built by PPP and to be tolled. Government is a continuum and when you enter an arrangement knowing fully well the terms, you are morally and legally obligated to stand by it. APC government will never go and take the fall for 100 B + to pay for a bridge out of pocket because PDP and GEJ are now being hailed and praise for the same "achievement".
Politics / Re: What Ribadu's Return To The PDP Thought Me by madamoringo(f): 12:43am On Aug 18, 2014
May you fhoolish posters call sick so seriously and need serious medical help in hospitals where all doctors and nurses are on strike! Then, may you sit and wait and wait and beg and plead while your life slowly leaves you as you beg for medical help while PDP and retardoGEJ keeps playing with Oboli and TAN. Ribadu is broke and needs money desperately. It shows poverty is powerful enough to rob almost anyone of their values and common sense. This is exactly the game governments and PDP have been doing for years in Nigeria with a lot of success! Make the people poor and suffer, even a Ribadu kick him out of EFCC and police and in just 3 - 4 years he will be grovelling before the same people be arrested and put in jail! He will be in the same party as ibori, Andoakaa, odili, Fayose and co! He will be next to the same Patience Goodluck he almost put in jail! Wishing him all the best and he better be right with this move.

Politics / Re: IBB Threatens Niger Deltans by madamoringo(f): 12:18pm On Aug 17, 2014
Konmight: I repeat

It's their oil and they can do whatever they want with the money.

If they embezzle all the money, good for them. If they turn their region to Caracas, good for them.

I think we should stop asking what they've done with the ones given to them so far as a yardstick.

How does it concern you what I do with my money?

How is it your headache how I spend my money?

Now they have themselves to blame, not Nigeria but their ND leaders who have been shortchanging them.

They have the right to "Self Determination". They can demand for whatever they want. Nigeria is a crazy country, if you't raise your voice sorry is your name.

IBB refused to threaten war cos of Shekau's BH yet he wants to go to war cos of Asari. We all know it's all about oil.

This is 2014, nobody can decide for us now, it's time to decide for ourselves.

Jonathan till 2019, so far so good, he's done a good job.

If they don't want Jonathan, they should ask Oshiomole what they should do.

My 30cents. I don't give a damn what anyone says.

Jonathan till Omisore Governs Osun State.

Well your post is quite true and annoying! By all means, I want these really silly ND or SS to keep 100% of this their oil money but it annoys me so much when they are talking of 13% derivation. I say keep all your money but you think you are doing me a favour by forcing 87% down my throat! It gets worse: they are fighting for 50%! Why go and fight for that when you could keep 100%? They think they are helping Nigeria, but they are killing it along with every dumbass who think this feeding bottle system is sustainable and will emancipate the country! It it hasn't done that for 50 years and getting worse, is everyone too lazy or dumb to try something else?

SS should join the SW to demand for regionalism, let them keep all their money in their states and regions, Nigeria will thank them for it sooner than later because in places where there is 0% production because of free money, they will change! If the SS or SE or North will ruin their region or grow it, it is their choice but let them not move their entire families into the SW like the ibos are doing! We are not planning to be your feeding bottle, help Nigeria from your corner and we will do the same too.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Hilarious Job Hunting Story by madamoringo(f): 11:59am On Aug 17, 2014
Good writing skills! However, don't you wonder how this kind of job exists in a $ 510 B economy? That is 60 hrs per week for N 10,000 or $66.67 per month or $16.67 per week or $2.38 per 7 days or $0.34 per day!!!!! I will stop there! Most Nigerians cannot make the connection between this with the real state of the economy, government policy and performance over the past 15 years and their immediate leadership. For those who cannot still see how this is the problem of governance, leadership, underemployment, etc, read my previous posts or follow my writings but I am disappointed if anyone who is educated cannot make the connections! Compare that to someone who works in McDonalds here (one of the lowest jobs usually done by high school students still in school, university students, etc and people who have had a really tough time with dropping out of school due to early pregnancy, etc. They earn maybe $8 - $10 per hour and they are still better off than this job you described. Well you write well, can you find a stream of good topics to write in your free time about 2 per week, short like you did here 2 - 3 paragraphs? If you can, maybe you could start a blog since you are also computer literate? I know it is probably difficult to have a decent computer and good internet to even do that kind of Jon in Nigeria except you have sufficient money for data (what you call megabyte) in Nigeria. It is tough sister! Wish you all the best sha!

He was involved in a fatal accident yesterday....nd all d doctors nd nurses could do is to stare @ him all because they're on stewpid strike. He was in pain.....there was blood every where....he couldn't talk....he couldn't move his hands nd legs cos it has broken.....we were all helpless.....we couldn't do anything.....I prayed nd cried my eyes out....

Nigeria is d worst country so far.....I don't care what people 'll say.....all I know is...*d almighty God 'll punish FG nd nigeria greedy doctors*.

Sorry for your loss and RIP to him but I know 1000000 posts will come as little consolation to this tragedy! I looked through your posting history to see if you are one of the GEJ till 2019 crowd, the PDP pigs but I see you are not and hardly interested in politics. In fact, I did not see one post of yours in politics. Well the problem with this is that people like you are not interested in how you are governed and the leaders who make the choices that determine if you will die or live a happy life. Prayer is good but I don't think God made prayer to usurp the power to know right and wrong on the first day he made man, i.e. Common sense! Could it be that God did not answer your prayers when you prayed? I don't think that is the angle to look at it but Nigeria and it's leaders have not used the common sense God gave them to deliver on the mandate of being control and in charge of the things God has given them control over.

I write many times on NL and complain louder than a lot of Nigerians in Nigeria but people in Nigeria abuse people like me. I neither live in Nigeria nor am I affected by your doctors strike! I am not affected by PDP governments and GEJs incompetence for over 15 years but I write many times to show Nigeria new ideas and the light of progress but Nigerians do not want light or salvation. Some weeks ago, I had a real pain in my knee coming for running and workouts and I still saw a doctor who had the time to examine it, even took an xray on the spot, in fact here they will tire you out with medical tests. I have been to hospitals for some minor thing and when I see how sick other people are, I just to home! Well, all those are absolutely FREE or paid for by insurance. Whose job is it to fix your health system? The hospitals? Who has been choosing the minister of health for the past 15 years? I can tell you with 100% conviction that if your friend had an accident over here, emergency medical services will be there within minutes, not even up to 10 minutes! Serious accident, Police and Fire Services will be there! And no, they will not just be quickly carrying him to a hospital, they will start treating him to keep him alive as soon as they make contact with him. In fact, let me go further to say that if a victim does not die in an accident before medical help arrives, his chances of dying thereafter are significantly reduced because he will get the most intense care you've ever seen before! If they see it is a very serious life threatening injury, scratch the transport by their road ambulance, he will be flown by helicopter practically into emergency room.

Nigerians are collecting rice and joining TAN, why their lives hang precariously in the balance. Get more involved in politics, vote out a party PDP that has not improved your lives. Posting in Romance section and forum games is good but not when there is fire on your mountain and your retardeenicbastardic president is busy screening Being Miss Elliot and smiling like a dull zombie. Anyway, the choice is yours. Nigerians are dying from BH, the soldiers are being killed, people are dying on road accident, but someone will still say it doesn't concern him? Well, one day monkey go go market he nor go come back!

Ibnsultan: @madamoringo. So on point in some areas. Our troops go in blind and deaf. About leaving the job. Who's going to defend the country

Yes Sultan, good question. Keep in mind that I am not unaware that the Army and our forces are there to defend the country but if the country represented by its leadership will not defend and care for our Forces, then they have every right to refuse to be sent to certain deaths collecting 500 / day (~ $ 3 / day) while the same country and leaders loot billions of dollars per day!

chucky234: Thanks sis.

Chucky, I am more than terribly sorry for the loss of your dad! OMG...he had a good profile! I will be honest with you now: I scanned some of your past posts to see if you were one of the people who have blindly supported this government, no I don't mean once in a while just letting things slide. I mean people of the calibre of chino, insincere9gerian, easternleopard, ngozievergreen, banega, etc; and I do not find this in your past posts. I am again sorry for your loss and you must be really courageous to be able to face up here on NL, and make such a concise post about this really horrible news. Accept my condolences. However, please permit me to blame you, PLEASE! For God's sake, I know it is too late to give this advice but perhaps someone else will learn, YOU and family should have made sure your father left this Nigerian Army! What else has he got to prove? To even make it into the Regular Army already takes you above board as far as courage, patriotism and brilliance is concerned, many people will die from just the stress required to be in any average Army! How much a Nigerian Army where even the smallest things will be made so difficult, e.g. finding a decent Government provided accommodation! Not to mention someone who has seen action in multiple theatres of war: Liberia, Sierra Leone, Bakassi, etc!

I would guess your father was an Officer in the Nigerian Army?? Perhaps a Colonel? I am saying this because I know a bit of the Nigerian Forces, seeing my family were in the Armed Forces too. In fact, one of my uncles left the Army about 3 years ago as a Colonel and he fought in Liberia too, and many theatres of war and he tells me how badly things get on the battle field and he could have died in Liberia, he fought for years there as a commander. He was wounded and carried off the battle field, fighting for this same Nigeria! Oh, the story of horror of how they were all abandoned, no healthcare, foreign treatment a problem until the managed to go and treat maybe some lucky ones in Egypt! He left the Army at that time as one of the higher-ups, his oga was having some issues with him, and he told me about it, that he would be living in about 2 years. I was not happy because he was a very good man, a christian, extremely generous, very easy going, not surprising being a christian and having been almost dead a few times! You naturally come to take life easy because you know you could have been dead, and not the easy kind of death where you are just in your bed, I mean the violently ugly ones. Why am I telling you this story? Well Boko Haram, something your dad must have told you about.

For months, I have suggested that any soldier and all soldiers in the NA should quit the army seeing how they are being set up for slaughter by this useless government! Please, do not be blindly patriotic but see my common sense! Do you know that in any war or battle, the opposition cannot continue the battle if you consistently achieve higher kill ratios of 10 to 1 or more, demoralize the enemy so badly, he loses the will to fight on and no human being or recruit will want to fight for your enemy because he sees the carnage and kill ratio. You know in some wars, some soldiers do not even make it past the first assault, heck even the landing of the soldiers, where they could be landing under heavy fire! I am sure you have seen a few war movies and read a few war books and we all know how modern armies fight, especially an army against a ragtag insurgency like BH! For N 5 Tr in the past 4 years, should soldiers not be kitted to the max, with unlimited supply of bullets, the best guns whose sound drives the fear of God even into inanimate objects, not to talk of a BH that should be outnumbered and outgunned? I ask: should a real army not have the resources to penetrate behind enemy lines and learn the enemies plans? Their movements? Their objectives? Decoys? By inserting undercover officers behind enemy lines, espionage, wire-tapping, etc? When NA arrives at a battle field, they should hardly be coming in hot because you expect the NAF to have straffed miles over miles of the hot zone, even before there are boots on the ground! Yet, when the NA arrives, they should be landing with superior, automated firepower with precise knowledge of where the remnants of the enemies are with one of objective capture or kill the enemy with a kill ratio of 100:1 or better! They should be able to call in airstrikes on demand, helicopter gunships that will closely support the offensive and hundreds of military doctors, nurses, intelligence analysts with multiple companies on standby and overwhelming numbers of soldiers at every time! But Nigeria's government has failed badly! Yet, they keep lying to Nigerians why better Nigerians like you dad (RIP) keep paying the ultimate sacrifice!

The worst of these all is Nigerians and their leaders will not learn from any tragedy! They will keep doing the same thing and asking God to come down and do their job or not allow something to happen when God himself is waiting for them to do it because he has given them everything needed and more to solve the problems! It is a shame and RIP to him.
