crixtex: Shut your putrid mouth, we Yorubas never make comparisons like you ** people from the land of the dead sun ** so keep your opinions to yourself. We Yorubas care about Yoruba land, regardless of if it has 10 states or 1000 and it is our task and duty which we will accomplish to develop and bring every inch of it to the first position in everything. So yes, we will build Lagos and build Oyo and Ogun and Osun and Ekiti and Ondo, and when one part needs more attention, we will join hands to pull it up. Keep your useless comparisons and chest beating to the east of the Niger bridge! 13 Likes |

chigoizie7: There are already lots of Ibos in the SW and in Ibadan. We need to send them back because we don't want ibo haters in our region and cities, abeg don't come and if you are already in Lagos or any other non-Ibo state, abeg go back to your father land. The SW has done a lot and too much for ibos but they are still criminals, kidnappers, drug pushers, long throated and ungrateful. We don't want more of your ilk, rather people from Akwa Ibom, Calabar, Edo, Rivers, Delta can come but not Ibos! 12 Likes 1 Share |

Laws need to be made to ensure that kidnappers, armed robbers, drug pushers and importers and economic saboteurs face the capital punishment and hung in public. It is the only way to rid Nigeria of these minds of cursed criminals. Now if 95% of those convicted and killed are Ibos, so be it, we owe no one no apologies. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Why Can't Amnesty Funds Be Used For Construction & Provide Employment? by madamoringo(f): 5:00pm On May 06, 2015 |
A7: From your figures, the ND gets N 170.133 B per year, plus of course shady contracts given to militants who should be working and protection left to the Navy or Police. With N 170 B+ per year, is that not enough to completely change the face of all the states in the ND, with the job done by the people in those regions? Assuming the government spends N 85 B of that on paying salaries of N 100,000 per worker alone and assuming everyone gets the said amount (would be different in real life based on education, training, experience, etc), the government could employ 850,000 Nigerians of the ND Region and that is a lot of people to employ! Now assume they spend the rest of the N 85 B on buying the raw materials, transportation of the construction materials, etc; the government could go a long way with this and reduce criminality significantly. Why can't the government look into this? Must Nigeria and ND keep wasting N 170 B on less than 20,000 people when it could do a lot more for the ND environment and put as much as 850,000 Niger Deltans to work, construction, repairs, maintenace, etc while generating revenue at the same time? Shouldn't the APC / Buhari government consider this as a proposal? |

Utchgirl: Ibos and herd mentality! The same Soyinka that stood by the same useless and ungrateful BeastaFrans is now the one these useless beings talk about anyhow? None of them read or care to find out what was actually said, just tell an ibo one lie and all of Iboland will believe it! I don't see ibos ruling Nigeria again except they change. 1 Like |
Politics / Why Can't Amnesty Funds Be Used For Construction & Provide Employment? by madamoringo(f): 1:18pm On May 06, 2015 |
The question says it all. The money given to militants in the name of amnesty goes to a few pockets only! Even if there are 50,000 militants and their families will they and their children not die and fall sick when the pollution of the ND reaches a disaster-zone level and completely toxic, or Nigerians who live and work there just don't care so far as they can eat something today? Why not convert the amnesty funds and any future increment or derivation to go to only construction, development and maintenance of infrastructure like roads, sea ways, bridges and the much needed environmental cleanup that MUST employ mostly (or nearly 100%) Nigerians in the ND? The ones that have some education and no skills start out as paid interns and rise through the ranks to become managers someday? That way, large numbers of ND Nigerians benefit from jobs with a decent salary, become productive, cleanup the environment which would in turn open up new or dying jobs line environmental engineering, large scale fishing, boat building and attract new companies that can pay tax? When everyone is busy, there will be no need or less need for pipeline security because there will be near 0 interest in such criminality. If a pipeline is destroyed by ND criminals, they know it is they who will suffer the most because of the oil spills. What do Nigerians think? |

Ibos shamefully trying to steal themselves in through the back door after Yorubas birthed the vision, mobilized and built bridges of alliance to the north, middle belt and parts of the SS but only ibos were myopic and declined progress for their usual tribalistic and insular reasons. Anyway, the APC will do what is in its plan for and with these non-typical Ibos but the local ones still on their villages and doting the landscapes of the SW angling for something they worked against on the basis of quota system will be disappointed. Give Iboland what it deserves constitutionally but that is it because they worked hardest against today, against APC, against Buhari, against Tinubu, even Amaechi and must never benefit for what they didn't work for! They like the chop sand syndrome and I hope they are made to choke on it!! 57 Likes 2 Shares |

Short sighted beggarly people only deserve crumbs of course! Or, what should the people who worked hard, against every odds to be successful get versus the lazy, incompetent and cynical Beastafars who put their lives in a sinking boat to deny Nigeria progress and change? Give Onu, Okorocha, Ngige and the other ibo person there some portfolio, pay their allocations and whatever need to be done constitutionally, but that is all. This people will do anything to sabotage Nigeria in order to keep crying for the Beastafar country and hope APC, Buhari and other Nigerians follow their bad advice which is meant to set a trap for them all the way. I say Buhari and Nigerians be wary of these people of herd mentality, whose inferiority complex drive to paranoia on a per second basis! 36 Likes 3 Shares |

EUROBOMBER: You mean a COWARD General Ojukwu, especially? No hard feelings, just saying it as it is! Does it not tell you something about a war enemy that is able to rally the strongest allies to his side? The US does it regularly, distilling it down to an art form! Only incompetent leaders cannot form the right alliances and win popular support from others, same thing Ibos cannot do till today to achieve even the position of senate president, never mind VP or president which could now take 250 tribes X 8 Years each = 2000 years before the turn of ibos is brought up for consideration! |

EUROBOMBER: Haha...ibos believe anything! This man might have sown the seed of another mega defeat for chest beaters who would rather walk into their death trap on a whiff of emotion rather than consult their common sense! So, don't you have sense to see that while the Yoruba commander defeated thousands of ibos with 179 soldiers and average armament, he had 1,000,000,000,000+ more of strategy to it, took the right decisions in the heat of the moment and defeated the entire BeastaFra expedition! He defended the most critical point of weakness and I can bet you all the retreating soldiers would have been completely annihilated if they continued to assault the bridge. Take a lesson from that and the battle of the 300 at Thermopylae, at that narrow pass where King Leonidas caused Persian King Xerxes' perhaps 100,000 strong troops to be crushed on their shields and spears! Watch how Leonidas says the strategy was to be funnelled into the narrow pass? There their numbers counted for nothing, their superior weapons counted for nothing and waves and waves of Persian soldiers to be destroyed! That is the stuff military strategists are made of, not empty boasting! Even Colonel Iluyomade provided more leadership, won more territories and destroyed more enemy soldiers than runaway Onujukwu himself, the war monger! Na wah, so 179 Nigerian soldiers led by another Yoruba Commander Colonel Iluyomade set up base 40 miles away from Ore village, right on the extreme outskirts of Yorubaland and destroyed thousands of enemy soldiers and sent them back running and empty handed in the thick of midnight, under heavy rains! Ibos should be very grateful to Yorubas and they must know it because on that night, the Nigerian soldiers led by this illustrious Yoruba son and commander could have pursued and ensured no ibo escaped and destroyed them all! Kudos to the greatest soldiers and commanders in Nigeria, who still allow the milk of human compassion to flow in their veins when their enemy is at the end of their sword and barrel of their gun. Even, I would guess that God will look down in kindness on such a people who did not shed the blood of ibo soldiers when they could have! The same thing David could have done to Saul, but he saw beyond the moment and emotion! God bless the Yorubas indeed and much more forever!!! 42 Likes 4 Shares |

IYANGBALI: Don't listen to what shortsighted people may say about that issue. Life is like a game of chess and most experienced players while playing against an inexperienced one will sacrifice a pawn, even a rook which the shortsighted would grab happily, not knowing that the next move is a checkmate on him or a queen down! Tinubu's ACN made strategic long sighted moves then and what did they get in return? They morphed the ACN into APC, got the majority in the house of reps, now have Sokoto state in their column and many other states and VP which a lot of people will still happily support tomorrow. Tinubu's reasons are good and strategic I think and I hope some poor losers in Nigeria are taking a lesson in politics. |

WilyWily12: See how the typical and average ibo man thinks! Hatred for the same Yorubas ibos are dying to move to their region? How can you hate Yorubas but cry when one of their Obas suggest you be lagoonized so you can escape the people you have rejected and hate? This the life and thoughts of the ibo because their loss of the civil war has imposed a permanent loss of self-esteem and imposition of inferiority complex, vendetta and confusion on them. In other to mask their helpless situation, they boast about everything but just like the conceited empty dummy who instigates a fight with vainglorious boasting only to be beat down in the first minute of the fight with a Total Knockout, so is the Ibo! Today they are begging the same Yorubas they hate to stay in Yorubaland! They are begging for appointment and political positions. Meanwhile after Buhari perhaps in 2019 or 2023, VP Prof. Osinbajo will be in for the next 8 years and then back to the Middle Belt (NC) for another 16 years. At the rate ibos are going, they will never be president again in Nigeria. Don't even bother to tell me you don't care for Nigeria presidency since you want your own BeastaFra country but your not wanting it is a face-saving excuse because the Jukuns, Idoma, Igala, Awori, Egun, Gwari, Edo, etc will all be president before the Ibo. Assuming Nigeria has 250 tribes, multiply that by 8 years = 2000 years before Ibos chance will be considered, and yet it might not be guaranteed. This might not happen if they change and recognize that they will never be president in Nigeria if they keep seeing other Nigerians, the West and North as enemies! 8 Likes 1 Share |
