Winning the trophy would only serve as a temporary distraction from the severe suffering this nation is facing and it may likely quell the building call for a better governance in Nigeria.

As citizens if we win, it would not positively impact on our economy directly, but only give us sparogative "bragging rights". However, if we loose it would give us a reason for reflection and build on the growing 'momentum' in some quarters.

Nigeria native appointed assistant teaching professor in Department of Comparative Pathobiology.

Dr. Ekele Ikpegbu (he/him), a native of Nigeria, was appointed in July as an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology.

Attracted to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine by its robust history and scientific output, Ikpegbu is interested in the animal model grants in life sciences that Cummings School routinely secures.

In Nigeria we would like to get involved in studies on a specific animal model, but we don’t have the resources to access high-tech equipment and inputs, he explains, hoping that once he gets established at Cummings School, he may be able to address a disease such as African swine fever, which wipes out flocks of pigs in Nigeria.

Ikpegbu was also impressed by Cummings School’s consistently outstanding performance on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination, which 99.6 percent of students have passed over the past six years. “It’s amazing,” he beams. “I will need to learn how that level of accomplishment is maintained and become a part of that story.”

Inspired by a professor who had a gift to educate others and simplify complex topics, Ikpegbu looks forward to working closely with students through the basic anatomy course and to help them the same way that he was supported. “I want them to see the material as not just something they have to know to pass the course, but as something they can apply every day.”

A member of the Good Samaritan organization, Ikpegbu is eager to become an active member of the community, which has been highly supportive since his arrival. “I just can’t explain it,” he shares. “They cultivate a loving and positive environment, and constantly ask what else they can do to support me. I’m going to keep enjoying my time here and hope to give back and serve this community.”

I don't know why you all are not concerned about your state, Lagos is your problem. And it's doing better than your state by far not even your governor can match anybody that have govern Lagos in terms of development and economy,

ADVANTAGE OF LAGOS/FG BEEN RUN BY SAME PARTY.

Buhari government show us sege but Lagos was able to achieve and get approval of what they beg FG for under another party.

Examples are the approval for the right of way for the red line railway in Lagos which start from Marina to alagbado. (2) the approval for Lekki sea port. (3) the approval for Lekki airport. (4) the construction of apapa oworoshoki expressway by FG. (4) the construction of Lagos Ibadan expressway.
(5) construction of Lagos Ibadan railway. Etc

Most of it can only be accomplished by getting approval from FG because the constitution rest the power on FG. if you allow this non yorubas to mislead you na you lose because they will go back to their region and they will be happy that you fail. Nobody can love you more than they love themselves and they can't give what they don't have. On a normal day na Yoruba suppose they tell other region how to govern not them telling you because all your state is far better than their region. Tell them to face their region. SW is more organize than any region in Nigeria. I will give you examples.
(1) in SW you have DAWN( Development agenda of western Nigeria) own by all state in SW. They plan the development of the region.
(2) ODUDUWA INVESTMENT: this is also own by all SW state to have investment in different sectors.
(3) AMOTEKUN: this is also SW regional police department to checkmate insecurity in the region.

Now think which region has any of this or United about development as the SW, you are far better/superior to them in every aspect.
Vote for the person that will move development in SW state don't ever vote who they choose to govern your state for you. If they're so good in choosing leader let them start with their state and region first.
