As the money manager in my house, it was only normal for funds to be in my account. So I went ahead to make hubby signatory to my account that has POF and when banks issued reference i ensured it was stated clearly that both him and I are signatories ‘either to sign’

All CIC needs is that PA has access to funds and I did not have power for affidavit.

‘If’ is a probability which means baby can come or might not be around. So after saying that, my advise is as such;
1. If baby comes just before submission, u are in luck as you can include the baby and DOB as pay fees at once even if the docs are not yet ready as you can immediately process that and submit a CSE but make sure you put LOE on both places for passport and BC (if it isn’t ready yet)Am assuming you just want a quick AOR and at least start the process.

2. If baby is still in the womb, go ahead and submit, and when baby comes, you can inform IRCC and you would be required to pay fees and submit docs.


The choice is yours.

If my baby comes between ITA and application submission, Can I continue with application and the raise CSE after application submission? Pay the $150 and upload passport?
I am done with medicals and all other documents.Can I add her to the application later?

Guys help me ooo...was trying to book an appointment with VFS to submit biometric tomorrow, all effort prove abortive as I could not pass through the captcha, thinking maybe their server has issues. And then I tried to call CFS Lekki to ask if I could go for it tomorrow morning without the appointment, a guy picked and said I will have to make a payment again. he requested that I sent a mail to vfsglobal2001@yahoo.com and then I will get the details of what and how to pay before coming for the capturing.

Please those who submitted recently in Lagos, was this the process before I get scammed oh...lol

Out of the list you put up, only bank statements is stated on the help button while uploading application.

Utility is basically for proof of address. So if the phone contract is available and the name of the sibling is stated clearly and address, that is very ok too.

@Madekay and others,please for those who have claimed points for siblings,in the absence of tenancy agreement where the person is a sub-lessee hence,doesn't have tenancy agreement and hydro bills on his name,can the following suffice for proof of address:

Drivers licence,
Pay slips,
Bank statements,and
Phone bills.

Bank statement is fine for proof of address for siblings. It’s stated in the help box when uploading documents. Your utility is strictly for proof of address it can be tenancy agreements, water,bank statements. There is nothing like weak proof as long as it falls within documents stated by iRCC

For proof to show that the sibling is currently in Canada, if the sibling lives with someone else, will a bank statement suffice for a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc? Thanks.

Does it mean that I have to send the update again to the AVO? Also, now that I Know that my file is in AVO what should I expect? any one dealt with AVO please tell me your experience.

Birth certificate (National population commission) of both you and sibling
Quitility bill of sibling for proof of address

Sorry about the extra medicals for your child.

Some children are underweight that doesn’t make them unhealthy. Feeding a child and going to the pedestrian one day won’t magically change her weight. CiC is trying to ascertain if your child would cost more for medical insurance. As long as she doesn’t have a a contagious disease she would be fine.

Your child would eventually pass her medicals. I read somewhere where a child was told to be re evaluated after 3 months. And after the 3 months was up, they eventually passed medicals and 1 week after the family got PPR.

I know God want to make this testimony a sweet one. well we had our medical with qlife on Monday. daughter was flagged for being underweight ( 3rd percentile) whatever that means. we were told CIC might return our case for further test. we received a call today that CIC did return our case that daughter should see a paediatrician and further report is needed( qlife is charging 30k). Anything we should be worry about against daughter's health and our application. we are yet to get an appointment with the paediatrician.

The only office in charge of name change is in headquarters Abuja. All files are sent there for approvals before you can pick up on you location. Except he’s in Abuja then yes. If not, look for one top officer to beg.

Are you processing by yourself? If yes, your file may have been abandoned somewhere, hence the delay. If you paid a staff of immigration to process, the follow up with the person. Or better still, visit the passport office yourself and ask for change of name office. It's by the right, immediately you pass by the gate, just before Servicom. My change of name took barely two weeks.

Ok the difference is the price. I wanted fast process so I paid 50k. Did it in Alausa

It’s not. Call your immigration officer. Standard time is 6 weeks but my contact got it out in 4 weeks.

Hey everyone
So my story goes like this
My EE application has my Maiden name.
Applied for a change of name on my Nigerian Passport because I did not want to be carrying marriage certificate upandan in Canada

Shortly after receiving ITA my New passport with my husbands name came out

So went ahead and did PCC and Medicals with the new passport and attached my NPC birth certificate that clearly shows nee (maiden name) and a letter of explanation attached with my passport that I want my PR to come out in my husbands name.

Recieved MEP and BIL today and it was still in my maiden name.

Went ahead and called CIC and told them maiden name passport has been cancelled. Hence I cannot use a cancelled passport to do biometrics. The agent said “take both passports to VAC, they know what to do” and went ahead to say that they would update my name on the PR application and would get an email BCB.

Well I have recieved that mail.

Incase anyone is in my situation, you can actually change your name during the PR process.

- Processing times may vary between 6 weeks-6 months. I was surprised to see one of 6 weeks not long ago, for Ontario. I believe that was super fast
- Choice of medicals is okay
- I think you should proceed to get the PCC already. Why tarry when ITA is sure? Choice is still yours anyway
- When you say documents, which do you refer to? I'm assuming work reference letters. If that be the case, you can still make use of them, provided they come in the format prescribed by CIC.

What’s the processing time for PNP applicants in CIC stage as I recieved nomination from Manitoba

I booked for medicals in Qlife for Sept 14 as that’s the next available date

Am waiting for ITA before PCC as I have FBI police clearance and Uk police clearance

Most of my documents were written to Manitoba do I have to get new docs addressed to CIC or submit the Manitoba own like that?
