Ilorin..... someone did it on my behalf.... d 2k was paid through Remita to NPC account. And other forms and passport were filled and submitted together with a declaration of age from the High court...... I guess u can do it at any state capital.

Finally got it done... cost just 2k paid to NPC bank account and another 2k to fast track which is a shameful attitude.

Please I’m in a bit dilemma here. My birth was not registered and so I do not have a birth certificate . I was born in the 80’s and when I approached NPC some years ago, they said they cannot issue me with one as I was over 18 yrs so I stick to my affidavit.

Now I have recently applied for my Residence visa and they wanted the birth certificate from NPC or “Non availability “ of full birth certificate or “ birth not registered” certificate issued by NPC. Only then can they accept my passport as a proof of my date of birth.

Please has anyone be in same situation and how did u go about this.... pls it’s urgent.

What ever you do, get both family support, get photos, keep all receipts, parcel envelopes, chats and anything that has to do with both of u safe..... getting married to a foreigner doesn't guarantee u a visa.......most importantly involve prayer.... Nobody can tell u who to, or who not to marry.....but remember visa scam is popular now and most countries are cracking down on partnership related visa.


You can marry anywhere ,it doesn't have to be ikoyi.....and if your partner is bouyant enough, you should get married in her second visit but if u both can't afford d cost, give it a shot in-between her visit.....don't rush.....make sure she enjoy every bit of her visit...

If u marry same week or a week after she arrives, EXPECT to see this when u apply...."You haven't met when you both decided to get married, we have concerns you have decided to marry for immigration purpose".

I was once in your shoe but God fought my battle..... be smart with her identity even when she visit...protect, care and cherish her, don't be greedy, put your heart into it...... Introduce her to only people that matters in your life, not even some extended family and friends.

There's always a 2 side to any pancake ...but if what you've told us here is true, first u need to ask yourself if you're prepared for the worst before pursuing a DNA test as u might come back bold or broken to call those kids yours...if not, just forget DNA and pursue a divorce....but bear in mind those kids may not actually be yours.

Take her threat very serious and if possible have it documented. use it against her in every way possible... report to every necessary authority and ur family don't take it as a joke...get evidence of her cheating with her boss and divorce her on the ground of infidelity..

I think your kids would be happier if u tell them u gave birth to them late because u were pursuing a career, citizenship, a better life for them rather than to say u were waiting for a prisoner boyfriend to return. A prisoner will have to start from scratch and u will have to wait another 3 years for him to get settled before u marry him. Also he will hardly get a job or visa due to his record...so there's tendency of committing another or the same crime in future.

P.S; ABROAD is not a money producing tree,he promised to be back in 2 yrs and now desperation may have led him to committing such crime. God' s time is the best ...Just keep praying but be wise.

Just be yourself,be friendly, welcoming and not too loud around them....don't worry about what they think about u...be real and whatcha things happen...white are not so judgemental.

I do not think he travelled out of the country for his own sake, rather it's for his kids. Because if you leave the country at age 46, and add years it will take to settle down and legalize your residency, you will realize that it's not worth it except if your kids are the beneficiary.

I don't live in America but i can give you guys some perspective using Australia. A security guard in Australia earns 35 dollars an hour (base no weekend rates included) at 36 hours per week

That is 5040 a month assume tax of 1000, rent at 1700, feeding and running cost at 1700 (over exaggerating) , he takes home $1600 per month.



Of course, no one lives in a 1700 apartment by themselves, if you are single you share the bill with a friend. If you are married you share with your partner

Lastly to give you more perspective, an engineer with 3 years experience in Australia earns about 70k per annum, a security guard earns about 60k per annum.

Hence why everyone can afford a new car, phones, laptops etc. How many Nigerians in 160million can afford to buy ordinary iPhone?
