It definitely sounds lyk a gud idea if these housing projects are carried out in Nigeria, infact overtime ive doubted if we rily have a federal ministry of housing considering the difficulties Nigerians go through to secure decent accomodations in various cities in the country..
If our govt is responsive to the plight of its citizens it wouldnt hesitate to build such towns.That being said, it will be an indictment on our engineers if the Chinese would come all the way to build houses for us..

The biggest obstacle is not the FG but the governors.

Outside, Abuja and GRA and Industrial layouts in other states a vast majority of landed property is not tittled. The governors act as landlords and their much required signatures for collecting a 'C of O' attracts a fee termed governors signature fee that is hardly approved.
The FG is too distant to be constructing housing units in Dammaturu for instance.

Under OBJ, el Rufai opted for the private sector in developing housing units. This made some sense from the stand point that infrastructure such as roads, lightning and water supply was the responsibility of the property developer but the problem was the high flexible interest rates being charged by banks that make it stupid to purchase any of these units.
Another fraud that exist in the housing sector is that only property developers can access federal mortgage and housing loans. The property developers get cheap land from the FG and very low interest rates gotten from civil servant monthly housing scheme deductions. The property developers naturally divert these monies into other ventures or just keep it on fixed deposit in one of the banks and get a higher return on interest payments. If they do commence any project, the buildings are usually substandard or unfinished and the infrastructure such as roads, electricity and water are either non-existing or not sufficient.

These are the few reason preventing any serious investor in developing and investing in the huge housing deficit.

If you watch the video you will see a for sale sign on one of the cars. The cars are not even new.

And if at all they are meant for VIP shuttling why would NAMA of all agency's be recruited to purchase and hire them out? Is that what NAMA as airspace management meant to be doing? If at all any agency would be involved in this it ought to be FAAN. But still at that, why should a government agency by renting vehiccles or selling them and second hand cars for that matter? Can't private investors be sought for such limo hiring services? Why should the Minister stoop so low?

The cars were meant for her and since the backfire from the NCAA bullet proof cars she has ordered that the cars be moved from their original parked position.

This are the same cars that were bought with tax payers money by NAMA.

Here they are at the NAMA Radar office, Abuja up till a few days back.

Now NAMA has decided to re-sell these cars on the airport premises.

The cars are not even new by the way and NAMA was not constituted to buy and re-sell used limos by the airport.

They are yet to achieve Total Radar Coverage and the TRACON project is buried in heaps of corruption , now they have decided to increase navigational charges to an incredible and unsustainable rate after mismanaging their resources.
