[b]Tax tax tax The answer is not to increase taxes. No country can succeed if they have more poor than middle class folks. The answer is so everything to move more Nigerians from poor to middle class. In no particular order, i recommend the following steps if we must migrate from poor to developing country: The first step is to reduce government spending and refocus it on the people. House of rep, senate ati gbogbo ti gob should be be put on 200% of the minimum wage. Second step is to stop subsidizing petrol and mandate local refining of oil and gas. The money wasted by subsidizing Petrol can saved and will create new opportunities Third step is to be export more than we import. E.g coal and agricultural products and remove all the hurdles that makes exporting and importing a Herculean task. Fourth step is to increase trading with other African. Countries. This would bring more wealth into the country. Finally, fix core infrastructures especially electricity because without electricity, the cost of doing business in Naija is extreme high. Fix roads so farmers can easily transport their goods. Build commercial rails so tankers and heavy lifters don’t have to be on the road unnecessarily. There are so many things we can do to help us grow and taxing Nigerians to death is not one of them. The elites will not mind the taxes but the poor and average Nigerians will bear the brunt because that increased vat, toll, bank taxes etc greatly hurts them and their business. She strongly resisted to be taken by those that have probably abused her in the past. This government has shown a huge appetite for disregarding the fundamental rights of the people and claiming down on opposition voices with agencies of the state. Don’t we have any Nigerian company that can do this? I have a huge problem with this. If it’s a sponsorship deal from the company then that’s fine but if rangers is having to pay the company to produce jerseys when I call about 3 Nigerian companies that can do it, then that’s crazy!! |

Recession? Our legislature got a budget of over 5 BILLION Naira for cars, few days ago, we saw Osun state governor spending over 200million Naira to purchase cars for judges. An average senator makes over 150million Naira annually including all allowances and constituency funds which is never appropriately utilized. Nigeria has no business with recession!! If our resources were appropriately utilized for the people, this would be one of the richest country on earth because with more people in middle class, the faster the country economy can grow. NO COUNTRY ON EARTH CAN REALLY PROsPER if MAJORITY OF THEIR CITIZENS ARE POOR. onlyonechid84:While this is the sentiment of most people, we have to understand that a lot of hotels chose to discreetly dispose the victims without making any form of report. He killed 9 in port-harcourt alone but we only heard about 4-5. What does that tell you? It tells me that a lot of hotels chose to Protect their business and aide the killer by disposing the bodies rather than immediately alerting the police. If the hotels that reported to police did not do so, no one would’ve know what was going on and he’d never have been caught. 10 Likes |

Lol!... This is exactly how the political elites think. They don’t care that the whole reason Nigerians fought and died to have democratic government was in order to enjoy the dividends of democracy through humane governance. You can’t have the most number of out of school children in the world, no electricity, extremely high crime rate and mind blowing levels of extreme poverty and expect to make frivolous expenses like this. All hands on deck and all resources should go towards getting this country on its feet and running efficiently. As far as I’m concerned, military government is better because unlike the so called democracy, they actually get things done. It is actually illegal to offer public officials gifts and for public officials to receive gifts of significant value. Rather than giving them gifts, empower them to be able to discharge their duties through non-interference. If the executive arm of government interferes with the judiciary, then the judiciary serves no other purpose but to rubber stamp anything the executive arm wants! This is highly unethical. I counted 10 suv. At a minimum hypothetical price of over 10m each, that means the minimum cost of this frivolousness is 100M. That wasted resources could have created at-least 20 jobs at above minimum wage, which would have trickled down effect to over 100 people. Poverty rate of poverty in Nigeria has made it seem like a big deal to own an iPhone. Such a shame! If there were equal opportunity for those that want it, there would be no intimidation cos anyone can see they can save up to afford these things. |

The last two killings were not done by the same person as the first 4. - The main killer uses pillow case to strangle and bound, this copy cat used the bedsheet. - the main killer mostly leaves the victim fully or partially clothed. The last two killings were fully unclothed. - the main killer does not leave a drop of blood but the copy cat left blood stained sheet. - the main killer never fails to bound the victims arms, the last two killings were not bounded at the arms. I strongly believe the publicity the main killer received has inspired another deranged animal. My biggest fear is that we become desensitized to these killings just like we have become desensitized to Boko Haram. On closer examination, I can confidently say this is not the same killer as the first four. Kindly let me provide evidence to back my claim up. 1. The first picture is a knot made by the copy cat 2. The second picture is the knot made by the original killer. 3. The third picture is also the knot made by the original killer. As you can see, the original killer knots to the right. There are two major changes in the knot style. 1- change from pillow case to bedsheet 2- change from right knot to centre. #freesowore I’d rather die than live the way most Nigerians are living in abject poverty. Sowore is trying to fight for the people but we’ve turned our backs on him. The government spurn a story to make it seem like he was just disgruntled for loosing the election. Sowore has been an activist even during the time of military government.
