Some Dudes are quick at accusing Forgiveness of Nepotism, yet they are the Champions of it.

It wasn't wrong for Iheanacho to only be drilling without Competitive Football at the Club level, and still be making the SE List, but it's a Suicide to invite a Regular at a Club who often plays European Competition.

It's 100% WRONG to be comparing Osimhen with Kayode. is it because the former plays (on the Bench) for a German lowly Club?!

I enjoin some Dudes to revisit their Posts and objectively analyze it. They would know they are being Partial and ain't taking the Bull by its Horns.

Kayode has been prolific for 2 solid Years, he's even named the Best Player in the League this Season for God's sake!

I can't believe this is happening on this Thread. Someone should tell me where the Unity lies here in the Thread?!

Kayode honorably deserves the Call up. He's not lobbied into the Team by anyone, rather his performance on the Pitch speaks louder for him.

We can quick to sing-praise Onyekuru, but we shouldn't talk much of Kayode because he's plying his Trade in a lesser League in Europe?!

Someone even rated Israel League ahead of the Austria League simply to condemn Kayode's Achievements?! SMH!

This Thread needs to be fortified of Nepotism, and Objectivity should be given a limelight to SHINE.
that is why i have stop having debate here because one debate leads to another

Having watched like 4 matches of England U20 team at this on going FIFA U20 world cup,
I will like to rate these Nigerian players:
1.) Ademola Lookman ~ 9 is the best among them.
2.) Onomah Josh ~ 8 had his best match against the
Korean team
3.) Fikayo Tomori ~ 7.5
4.) Seyi Ojo ~ 7
5.) Ovie Ejare ~ 6.5 too much sideway passes
6.) Dominic Solanke ~ 5.5 just average... Nothing special

so base on merit who should be called to the SE
none of them merit the super eagle
but oshimen will be ahead of orji currently

And after his injury he wasn't invited back to the SE because of his past record, that's what I'm saying, so injury should not be an excuse fo oshimen.

what's the difference, still Orji played for the main team before Oshimen, had more game time and impact for the main team. Nacho went through similar route, youth team then main team.
they trust oshimen talents more

injury free Joel Obi would've a top star by now bt ....we should not base our argument on sentiment, the guy has potentials bt that is not enough to invite him.

On Orji current form and performance it is not a matter of debate, Orji has far more justification than Osimhen.

But so do a lot of other players of Nigerian unfortunately they are not liked by Rohr.
you see the difference is
orji has to start from youth teams before playing for main team WHILE
Oshimen start from the main team

Maybe a few people think through this line with me, but I think it is worth the mention. To the powers that be, the bigwigs in here, I direct this question, please why don't we read of NFF's push to cap Manuel Akanji as much as we read of their pushes for other guys his age? I have seen him play severally and from my own standards, he is okay. He just won his place as a starter with Basel and I think we should have arms round his neck as we do Awaziem now because we don't have that much options at the back and Balogun ain't getting any younger. The boy doesn't hide his Nigerian heritage, evident is the presence of Nigerian flag on his instagram handle (I guess). He might love the prospect of playing with this young, vibrant Eagles team. They(Awaziem and Akanji) wouldn't make bad partners *future wise* in eagle's defense if we got him in the fold.
GBAM
komekn will not see this one because he is not in england

Can we stop arguing about this Osimhen dude already. My own opinion and anyone can call me out on this. After scoring 10 goals in u17, where and when else has Osimhen scored? Lets stop dwelling on past glories. Its all a function of what he brings to the table. I think we were a little too carried away because we want a solid 9 and we are already thinking he fits the mould. However, this dude still has a long way to go. On his invitation to Super Eagles, like I said before, it still is the prerogative of the Coach.
you get it wrong sir
this is between oshimen and orji
not any of them is an established player yet but i will take oshimen ahead of orji currently

Portugal dropped Sanches for the confed squad, not because he isn't a class act but because other players are performing better than him, that is what I call professionalism at it's peak. We have game changers who could have been invited in place of Oshimen, Ajagun for example is the kind of player you can bring on when you are looking for an equaliser and play him as the DMF in a 3 man backline because he can also cover as the RB and LB allowing the actual fullbacks to bomb forward. Aluko is the kind of player you can bring on when a team adopts a man-to-man marking approach, he can easily beat his man unlike....Iwobi for example who would rather just pass the ball. I can name other game changers who I do not like personally but if we should be perfectly professional in our approach they deserve the spot more than Oshimen
nawa for you ooh
see how you shift the debate from orji and oshimen to other players
na like that you dey do your debate?

you do have a point. I mean Bologna and Wolfsburg aren't too different from eachother, they both barely survived relegation but the case now is that when Bologna started fighting against relegation they called on Orji Okonkwo while Oshimen was still choping bench at Wolfsburg, if I talk now some cry babies will start talking about Iheanacho
injury don become bench now ba?
Continue sir

If anyone from the last U-17set ought to be called to the SE, its orji okonkwo and not Oshimen, cos I still can't figure the criteria for his invitation.
injury free osimhen would have started more games
osimhen started from u17 to u20 to u23 to super eagle through different coaches
and remember the coach and director that bought him have all been sack yet the new coach still gave him some game time when he returned from injury
he is quality, i rest my case

Nigeria is not England and yes England on occasion calls players from the championship to the 3 Lions.

However, the comparison lacks merit Aluko was in the premiership when he was called to play for Nigeria. Played 7 games and two goals.

Players can choose the championship over the EPL if they feel it would give them more options and progression. For instance Gayle left Crystal palace for Newcastle so also did Ritchie.

Fulham narrowly missed promotion to the EPL otherwise Aluko would be in the premiership now.

There are some things that are open secrets but not public media exposed for fear of litigation. But I think most people in this forum or at least those in the know understand what happened.

One problem English orientated Nigerian players have is a lack of understanding of the settlement mentality and gratuity expectation that has always pervaded the national team camp. These simply do not understand that and would probably say no unceremoniously much to the displeasure of our shameless NFF officials.
like we don't have players in the premier league?

On this Osimhen issue, I think I am slightly with forgiveness on this. I had always opined that let us see him kick the ball as a professional before giving him the call-up. Yes he has started playing for Wolfsburg but sincerely speaking he has not done anything of note to be invited to be Super Eagles.

However, I feel Rohr knows Osimhen and the team better than I do so I join you in just watching.
