Is it difficult for people to understand what you are saying?

There seems to be some magogo in the team selections.

If he is playing regularly or if he is a bench warmer of bigger clubs that I can understand but calling Osimhen na arrange.

I have begining to understand how selection plays.

They call their preferred player even if na bench warmer and bring him to the National team to increace their stock while they ignore the inform players until their club throway dem because of lack of market value of the said player. The club expects you to be called to the national team to increase your stock and sell you for a big prize but no coach looks ya way hence the need to kick you out for a more valuable player. grin

I can mention plenty players in the National team that were nothing before their stock were raised as a result of being a National team player. grin

They use the national team to promote some players and na wetin dem wan do for Osinhem. grin

Later dem go comdemn the once wey no use national team better dem life. grin
because your players where not invited is why you are saying this trash
don't worry solanke, seyi ojo, ajagun, thiago ilori will be invited for our next month friendly with biafra

That's an assumption without track record justification.

If Rohr likes him he plays full stop even if he plays in Wales ranked number 50 in Europes.

If Osimhen after playing 10 minutes of football in a team at the bottom of Bundesliga can be invited. Then structureed selection methodology doesn't exist and subjectivity has overcome objectivity.

Then again some may say the end justifies the means. Long term that does not inspire players to play for the SE if it is perceived that objectivity and performance are not the main consideration.
this is normal every coach should expect this
if nff and many nigerians are behind rohr then no need to worry

In the event that the desirable is not available then the available becomes desirable. That is how I sum up Omeruo.

He played a season for Middlesbrough in the championship he was not outstanding.

If you think he is the best we have? And if that is the best we have well then it's not good enough. We really need to look for somebody else.

I would say Dominic Iorfa is considerably better once his contract long term is sorted out he will play for Nigeria. His Dad is just playing the game can't openly commit to Nigeria just yet otherwise his value will drop.

I am looking long term, but we need to have a clear objective methodology based on performance for team selection.
do we have players only in england?
Or if You are not playing in england you not good enh...?

I don't know where Omanbala got the erroneous idea that I'm a feminist and/or a lesbian, but I would like to state that there is no truth to either.

Firstly, I am no feminist. Nuff said

Secondly, anyone who has followed my posts on this thread would know that I love boys men, preferably the ones who look like Awaziem, Troost-Ekong or John Ogu, I will consider those who look like Iwobi, Kelechi or Ebuehi, I will NOT take a second glance at the likes of Musa, Kayode and Onyekuru grin....your bank statement is inconsequential in my decision, but your brain matter is highly regarded, once again, anyone who knows me here knows that I don't suffer fools

Once again, I hereby refute the claims of Omanbala and ask that you disregard such crazy notions.

Nigerian Neymar Dennis Bonaventure Join Club Brugge

Highly rated 19 year old Nigerian forward Dennis Bonaventure has left Ukrainian side Zorya for Belgium giants Club Brugge, the club has announced.

According to a statement on the website of Club Brugge, the forward signed a four year deal at the Jan Breydel Stadium, with former Brugge fans favourite Sergiy Serebrennikov describing him as one of the best players in the Ukraine league.

” He has quickly evolved and showed himself among the best players in the Ukrainian championship this season”, he told the official website of Club Brugge.

Nicknamed “Nigerian Ney‎mar” the Abuja Football Academy graduate had a breakthrough season with Zorya where he played in all of the competitions they were involved in including the Europa League, playing in both legs of their clash against Manchester United.

He made 22 appearances and scored six goals last season for Zorya from his position as a wing forward in what was his first full season as a professional footballer after his move to Europe two seasons ago.

The @bolded na suspect when "big guns' are concerned grin

The truth is, money is the factor for the Spanish, EPL and the Bundusliga big guns to rule Europe. Apart from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletico Madrid in Spain, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in Germany, Juventus, Inter Milan, Ac Milan and Roma(recently) in Italy, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City(recently), Monaco, PSG, Marseille and Lyon in France and Porto and Benfica which other top guns do you have in those leagues?

Once you are playing for one of those clubs in Europe, you are sure of winning the league and most of them are sure of winning the Champions League too save some like Porto, Benfica, Arsenal, Ac Milan, Lyon, Manchester City, Marseille and Inter Milan (watch out for this club in the next two seasons) who doesn't have the financial capability or the right talents to lead them to the promise land though they have the potentials. grin

Right now, the Lique 1 has caught up with these big guns with the financial capability and the right talents and that is why we saw two of their best team did very very very well in Europe against the so called top guns. grin

What I am saying is, PSG and Monaco are on the same level with Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Bayern Munich. A little bit above Manchester City and those not mentioned. grin

They are in the league of Champions and that is all that matters. grin

If you ask me to choose between the two now, I will not blink an eye to choose Mbappe over Iheanacho based on current form and what they bring to the table. grin

Yes, Mbappe is that good because I have seen him played and you can only make decisions based on what you see nau nau though we can't ignore the 'potentials'. O yes! We call potentials when a player is very good but that is where it ends if the 'potential player' is not or doesn't get the opportunity to express himself.

Solanke, Afobe, Rabiu Ibrahim etc are all potential players but it avails nothing if it's not translated on the field of play. Potential doesn't tantamount to being a world class player. You must prove it.

As it is, Iheanacho is not on the same level with Mbappe currently though he might be equally or even better than him.

A living dog is better than a dead lion. I hope una get my point. grin
i get your point, i like this qoute
"they may be equal "
yea currently he is rated ahead of kc
kc didn't get playing time thats why i don't want to compare them now

By Shina Oludare

The greatest and most-loved players in football's rich history will converge at the O2 Arena from July 13-16, 2017 for the Legends World Cup.

Nigeria captained by Austin Okocha have been zoned in Group B with Brazil, Italy and China in the inaugural edition of the studded Star Sixes tournament.

Hosts England will try Spain, Mexico and Scotland for size in their bid to reach the knockout phase of the competition.

Germany, France, Portugal and Denmark complete Group C. Six games hold on the opening day as Nigeria take on China while England lock horns with Spain.

In other opening fixtures, Brazil meet Italy in a repeat of the USA 94 Fifa World Cup final, while Mexico would hope to continue their dominance over Scotland, with Portugal versus Denmark drawing the curtains for the first day.

The top-two from each group plus the best two third-placed teams qualify for the quarter-finals.

NPFL: Home teams reign supreme as Plateau United maintain top spot

Match Day 21 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) was completely dominated by the home teams as they all recorded victories.

Plateau United continued their dominance at the top with a 1-0 victory against Remo Stars through Hamza Owolabi’s 43rd minute goal.

Plateau now have 39 points from 21 games.

Shooting Stars suffered their second straight defeat with a 3-0 loss to Lobi in Makurdi. Kingsley Eduwo scored a brace while Sunday Akleche’s 89th-minute goal completed the rout.

In Minna, MFM struggled against Niger Tornadoes as they fell 3-0 to the hosts through a goal from Wilfred Ammeh in the 37th and a brace from Wakili Abdullahi.

Onoriode Odah’s goal in the 92nd minute for Rivers United was not enough as El Kanemi’s duo of Samuel Mathias and Bala Yahuza ensured that the Maiduguri Warriors continued their impressive home run as they secured a 2-1 win.

El Kameni have now overtaken MFM on the second position of the NPFL log.

In the oriental derby, Sunday Adetunji scored a brace while Anthony Okemiri and Obi Samson found the back of the net as Abia Warriors pummelled champions Rangers 4-0.

Godwin Obaje’s brace secured a convincing victory for FC Ifeanyi Ubah against visiting Kano Pillars.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah have now gone eight games unbeaten in the NPFL, the longest by any team this season.

A 67th-minute penalty converted by Ajibola Otegbeye saw Austin Eguavoen’s Sunshine Stars register a 1-0 win over visiting Enyimba in Akure.

Akwa United defeated 10-man ABS 3-0, Nasarawa United overcame Wikki Tourists 2-0, while Gombe United managed a 1-0 home win against Katsina United.
