12large1: Please, tell me how difficult it is selecting your best available 11? For example, imagine Chukwueze on the Right wing, Ejuke on the Left wing and Osimehn in the middle? The kind of chances that will be created each game with this selection will be enormous. So, why is our coach compromising "Familiarity" with "Best Available"? Rohr has done a good job stabilizing and rejuvenating our team from what he inherited but maybe it is time to search For a world class coach that can take us to the next Level. seconded |

IDENNAA: What the ffuck does "very poor DM" mean ? It's ok to say he had a bad game but to call him very poor DM is petty and unnecessary. The same Nwakali who is balling today was also called names and condemned by posters here to fail....but mmadu-aburo-chukwu.
Kelechi Iheanacho was also supposed to be a failure but look at Nacho, today. It not in question Zubby has the talent to play at the very top but things doesn't always work the way we plan it. If you ever been through a phase in your life where you are doing your best and putting in all the work but for some unclear reasons your efforts aren't paying off and people are mocking you and calling you are a failure then you would understand....I have been through these experience. Zubby is nigerian boy who is doing his best and we must support him. We know how long it took Awoniyi to find his feet. Iwobi must be the one that doesn't need support then |

Kayode not a bad player at all.

OwnGoal has quoted Rohr saying "no new players for qualifiers"
Even though OG has a shaky record, they do get it right at times, and this is a quote that has constantly been attributed to Rohr, so I am inclined to believe it. I am getting sick and tired of Rohr using this stupid "no new players" excuse every time we play a competitive match. Citing the whole "we cannot try new players in a competitive match" This to me just seems like lazy scouting, and a complete lack of forward thinking. This also shows to me that Rohr does not see any problems with our team and is not trying to improve the team, especially in problem areas. The idea that you cannot call up new players, (nobody said wholesale changes) to replace ones who are clearly dead woods, or not really offering much, simply because you are playing a competitive match is ridiculous and just a lazy excuse. Is Rohr to tell me that were Messi suddenly ready to wear SE shirt, Rohr would ignore him, because he has not played before. That is a crappy coach who does not know how to adapt to situations. Any coach worth his salt will be able to put a new player into a system if he can bring more to that system than the previous players. To top it off nobody said that the "new" player has to start, but they could easily make an impact off the bench. We just witnessed a US team, THAT HAS NEVER BEFORE PLAYED TOGETHER, win the Gold Cup, beating out a Mexican team that has played together since the previous World Cup. So this idea that "new players" is somehow detrimental, is complete hogwash and the utterances of a lazy and conservative coach who has absolutely no imagination at all. It is clear that SE needs to be improved in certain areas, and the fact that Rohr continues to ignore this and keep things "as they are" is not a good sign for SE if you ask me. It also is not as if Rohr uses friendlies to address these issues. He never likes to try new players, unless injuries or withdrawls forces his hand, so frankly I dont know when his time to experiment would be. We still have not solved these problem areas. 1. Who is Osimehn's backup ? Should Osimehn be unavailable SE will struggle to score. Onuachu is not Osimehn's backup. He CANNOT start matches and have SE play our usual style. If Rohr has not figured this out, he is a completely useless coach. 2. Who is Ndidi's backup ? I hope Rohr is not telling me that he is happy to have Shehu Abdullahi step in for Ndidi. 3. Who are our top wingers in Chukwueze's absense ? Rohr still does not know. He is still wasting time calling up junks like Musa and Iwuala, who have NOTHING to offer SE. How can calling up "new" players be any worse than parading these junks. They cannot. I have sounded the warning before and I am doing it again, but I will tell you all that a disaster will befall SE so long as Rohr continues this lazy approach to coaching. We are a few injuries or suspensions away from having a really tough time in World Cup Qualifying and also at the AFCON. and speaking of AFCON, Is Rohr trying to say that there will be no new players at AFCON, since I dont believe there will be any more occasions to try out new players. We still have not looked at
AlHassan Yusuf
Kelechi Nwakali
Obinna Nwobodo
Sadiq Umar
Ovie Ejaria
Ademola Lookman
Paul Mukairu
Taiwo Awoniyi
How can any sane coach who regularly parades junks like Shehu Abdullahi, Ahmed Musa, Anayo Iwuala, and a Basketball player who cannot keep up with the pace of the game be happy and have no wish to look at the above players. It is pure idiocy to be honest.
