AndSunGorilla: With Jaime Rodriguez now joining Everton, I hope Iwobi won't be impacted negatively o. I honestly think Ancelotti would favor Jaime because 1) he signed him 2) they have a history together, from Real Madrid to Bayern. We shall see how it goes. Iwobi is winger for Everton that's where he mostly played and with James coming playing in midfield becomes more difficult |

forgiveness: 1. Since Iwobi is not measuring up to expectation I will try Iheanacho in that role as a SS. Iheanacho will add more pressure to the opposition defence and can switch position with Osimhen whenever Osimhen drift defenders away from their position to create space and chance for Iheanacho to score.
2. I want us to utilize our full backs upfront hence need for a defensive minded mildfielder to cover for them whenever they overlap. We know our full backs are more attack minded.
Ndidi can play box to box too. Anyway, I think we need to cover for the full backs. If they are not going upfront I think Aribo can come in. Azeez is not bad though.
Observations
1. Zaidu for Collins if he gets to play regularly for Porto.
2. Well, competition is necessary. We need all in the team but as it stands, Moses is ahead. Apart from Kalu and Ejuke, are there any Nigerians able to play in that wing?
3. I don't not have confidence in Uzoho for now. We need to look for a better goalkeeper in the mold of Enyeama.
4. Well, I think Balogun is okay but I don't know if Rohr is interested in him.
5. How many?
6. Na mind phone. I didn't check before posting. on number 2 Denis and bazee |

charlesemeka85: Eberechi Eze won't add to his international caps at youth level for England this month, with the English Football Association officially confirming on Wednesday morning that the new Crystal Palace signing has dropped out of the U21 squad.
Young Lions boss Aidy Boothroyd has handed a late call-up to Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey as a result of the unavailability of Eze and Chelsea's Reece James.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has retained his roster spot for the European U21 Championship qualifiers against Kosovo and Austria on September 4th and 8th respectively.
The English Football Association informed that Eze has returned to Crystal Palace, however, he wasn't involved in yesterday's friendly against one of his former clubs, Millwall.
Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has gone all out to convince Eze to switch his allegiance from England to Nigeria but the playmaker requested to be given some more time to make his decision, with a focus on his club career much more important to him at the moment.
Nigeria offered the London native his first opportunity to play international football when he was invited to a Super Eagles training camp in March 2017 but he couldn't make his debut after a proposed friendly with Burkina Faso was cancelled.
A former England U20 international, Eze became provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth in November 2019, playing the last nine minutes of an U21 EURO qualifier vs Albania nairaland southgate is very sure he will play for us Let's wait and see |

Philosopher1979: Komekn is very good in English football. So he can scout English league players that are good for Nigeria. After that his knowledge of Italian, Spanish, German etc football is very limited. He makes the mistake of rating English league players (both home based foreign born etc) above other players and he is proud hahaha |

komekn: Lets use the same hypothetical approach but in the reverse.
Imagine the national U17 Eaglets arrived in England for a tournament with 18 players . They won the tournament and where simply mesmerisingly outstanding.
They were all offered very lucrative long-term contracts with Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and City.
However, they were all given one proviso, they must change allegiance and play for the England U17 team. Before any long term football contract will be offered.
How many will say, "Lie lie to lie, na naija I go remain and dye. I want to suffer, smile and dye, l love 9ja too much, Get lost England."
How many will ditch Naija, quick action. NO SHAKIN !!! No regret, no return.

TheSuperNerd: Some of Osimhen's words from his first press conference as a Napoli player: @CastelDiSangro
Osimhen: “Motivation is important for a young player like myself. The coach and the president made me feel at home straight away. Joining Napoli is a dream come true. It's a big step up for me to be here, and I want do well in this shirt”.
"I have a great relationship with the president and the coach and I've been shown a lot of love from the fans from the start."
"The standard is very high in training. I want to continue working hard and I can't wait to play."
“I admit being skeptical of the racism situation in this country, but then I visited Naples and my vision changed”.
“The highest paid player at Napoli? Being here means that I have taken a big leap. I'm not interested in money. I intend to give my best (for Napoli).”
"What player am I? I define myself as a team player. Passion is fundamental for me, my mentality is based on never say never, everything is possible and the competition is always open. Napoli is a great club, it has great stars like Mertens, Koulibaly or Insigne."
“The cancellation of the championship in France? I continued to train at home. I then went back to see my father. How am i doing now? I'm not 100% fit, but I'm very close to it. I'll be 100% as soon as possible.”
“The advice I can give to young people in the suburbs is to never to give up. It's not easy, you have to work hard. I recommend never giving up on your dreams.”
“Joining Napoli is a dream come true. I've visited the city and the fans have given me a very warm welcome. With their support, I'm sure I can overcome anything”
“Entering the hearts of the fans with a goal against Juventus? Many Napoli fans wrote to me about it. I have every intention of helping my team, maybe even scoring against them (Juventus)!”

It is not that Onyekuru played badly but there were a number of players who played better than him and made a better impact.
The Martins dude was one l noticed.

komekn: Do not pervert my proposition to suit your nefarious narrative. There is a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE, but that will be lost on you.
Umar after 7 years in Europe, started off with Roma, then multiple loans in Seria A, B, then the Eredivisie as well as Scottish premier league. On all occasions he has been unable to claim a regular shirt very average but in the Scottish Premier league abysmal.
He then drops to the backwaters of European football after how many years in European football, with a league rated 20 in Europe, and is doing very well in that low level league.
However, is it a case of this is his level ❓ or genuine improvement. Until he moves to a better league he is still poor quality.
So when a player who has played in far higher leagues for several years without making any real progressive improvement drops 15 leagues below and then performs we should then say he is now a Lion.
He is simply a big fish in a very small pond, until he moves to the ocean we really can not tell if he he is a good swimmer.
You are the double standard bigoted hypocrite blinded by negative prejudice. trash as usual |
