Lavisha:Abuses does not give your point credence. “No Constitution allows a Governor to become the maker of a Law, accuser, witness, enforcer of the Law, the prosecutor and the Judge at the same time. It is primitive,”.. Femi Falana SAN |
Lavisha:Mixed up zeuss and you. Either way, abusing does not give your point credence. The fact is that I have gotten what I wanted. I now understand it is not about standing by the truth. Most of you are defending Wike because your consciences are dead when once you have a sentimental affiliation. The right to property, fair hearing and liberty are constitutional rights. No Governor has the power to dismiss these rights under the pretext of enforcing the COVID-19 regulations.".. Femi Falana SAN |
ChimaAdeoye:Another spin doctor. These are lies being peddled because these stories started with the Hotel being owned by A Native Of Eleme, which was a lie. So obviously, they fed you guys with lies. You ran with the lies, blinding yourselves to the truth and supporting a crime against a person. “I did not violate any order. The government was supposed to do some investigations before doing that. And if they found me wanting, then another procedure should be followed; not demolishing a structure like that."... Gogorodari Promise (Owner of demolished Prodest Hotel) |
psucc:You can see you people are hell bent on running around with lies and blinding yourselves to the truth. The owner of the Hotel, (Prodest) is not a native of even Eleme. He is an Ogoni Man. Gogorodari Promise Needam. Stop feeding off lies and seek the truth. Deal with facts and not social media rumours. “Under our Law, an emergency situation under the Quarantine Act does not permit the demolition of a house by an alleged offender.".. Femi Falana SAN |
Lavisha:You earlier typed the owner ordered his boys to beat up the tax force. Now you are saying he was well represented. Does that not show big holes in your comments and you clearly are trying to defend evil. From the point raised by SAN Femi Falana, does it not prove Wike is wrong? There is no need bringing in kitchen gossips from rumour mongers to try and justify evil. The demolition of Prodest Hotel is forced evictions and in violation of article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and other human rights treaties to which Nigeria is a state party,” SERAP disclosed via its official Twitter handle. |
Lavisha:Another person spreading lies to try to prevent Wike from knowing the truth. Lying to a friend when he does wrong is not protecting but destroying him. Interview of the owner of the Hotel Demolished (Prodest Hotel) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPsTZRZmSe0 |
zeuss:Another person so devoid of the truth. The owner of Prodest Hotel was at Lagos at Lagos all this time, there is no way his spirit ordered Wike's tax force to get beaten. That was a pure malicious lie by spin doctors to try to cover the Governor's tracks. |
Lavisha:You are talking in parables because you have no fact to defend your sentimental support of a Governor breaking the law. That is just the fact. Your response proves my point. Wike committed a very wrong act but people are openly supporting him and denying their conscience because of sentimental affiliations. You know deep down Wike is wrong but openly defending him, which is a pity to me. |
Lavisha:Can you explain why you think Wike is very correct after what you read up there? Honestly, did you read it at all or chose to defend wrong due to a sentimental affiliation. State the lacked information apart from your sentiments. |
“There is no provision for even the President to take the Law into his hands and then begin to mete out punishments to citizens without recourse to the constitution." “The right to property, fair hearing and liberty are constitutional rights. But, we get even lawyers defending Wike breaking the law, claiming people should Obey laws. If people blatantly support a wrong action, the person that made the mistake will feel he is right and continue in the wrong path. People should shun party, tribal or religious affiliations and always stand by the truth. If not the country will remain in its irredeemable position. |

ariefadenco:Things like this fly because the mods of nairaland refused to move threads that will Educate the masses on issues like this. decatalyst:Which murder? Did the reports not say she died in a hospital? sixty-year-old US citizen, Babra Laurilliard has been reported dead in Warri, Delta State. Babra Laurilliard reportedly died at a hotel with her alleged boyfriend in Okuokoko in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, DAILY POST reports. The deceased came into Nigeria on the invitation of her boyfriend who kept her in a hotel in Warri before transferring her to another hotel where she died, it was learned. It was gathered that before the deceased’s death she coughed profusely and had difficulty in breathing and stooling. She was rushed to an undisclosed hospital but her condition deteriorated just as she gave up the ghost. https://dailypost.ng/2020/05/10/covid-19-60yr-old-us-citizen-dies-in-delta-hotel-police-arrest-online-boyfriend/ They should remove that corpse from his hands. These police people. |
ican2020:The Statement also caught my eyes. Andry Rajoelina is surely a smart man. |
24SEVEN:The NCDC have been a draw back but are we going to agree to ourselves that Wike can not get money from the State coffers to mobilise the Rivers State Ministry of Health to secure mobile testing labs? We can blame NCDC from today until tomorrow but Wike who is claiming defender of the State. Overactive Governor and the safety of the people. So, if the NCDC refuse to bring, Wike would fold his arms and allow people die. I hope other companies rise up to source mobile labs with higher testing capacities. |

Total E & P, after all the praise singing, Rivers STATE still lacks behind in testing capacity. The earlier the better, source mobile testing labs to begin aggressive testing in the rural area of the State to prevent a breakout. Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones. |
How much sample tests have been done in Rivers State to determine if th virus is spreading or not. Do a random sample survey first before praising Wike. If not for Shell, there would be no test centre in Rivers State today and you tag this kind of action proactive. Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones. |

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has condemned the demolition of hotels in Rivers by the state government. The civic group also threatened to take legal action against the state governor, Nyesom Wike describing the demolition of as illegal. “We condemn the reported demolition of Prodest Hotel by Gov Wike, Rivers State. Using COVID-19 to perpetrate human rights violations is executive rascality and Mr Wike must stop this now. “We’re taking legal action to hold him and his government to account for illegal actions. “The demolition of Prodest Hotel is forced evictions and in violation of article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and other human rights treaties to which Nigeria is a state party,” SERAP disclosed via its official Twitter handle. The Rivers State Government had earlier on Sunday demolished two hotels in the state allegedly for violating the lockdown order in the state. Governor Wike personally supervised the demolition of the structures in the company with some government officials. The affected hotels are Prodest Hotel in Alode and Etemeteh Hotel in Onne – both in Eleme Local Government Area (LGA) of the State. https://www.channelstv.com/2020/05/11/serap-condemns-wike-over-demolition-of-hotels-threatens-legal-action/amp/?__twitter_impression=true |
Replace Hazard With Robben. Robben was a far bigger and achieved more as a forward than Hazard in both club and international level. |
chloride6:I disagree on Matic being better than Ndidi. Ndidi has been consistent since Belgium where he was rated amongst the best in the midfield in the Europa League and has maintained that form till now. Matic has not been consistent on that level. But, I will replace Yobo with Carvalho. |
Remove Essien and put Michael Ballack. |
