So, Buhari that sowore fought to take his place is a perfect leader and epitome of sanity, right?

Tribal sentiment will take this country no where
Buhari is a failure.

I just finished watching an AIT breakfast program where a professional talked about the Human Rights Commission. The Commission is an advisory Commission, it can only make recommendations which may or may not be enforced by the court. Now let's be honest, the court of law is way higher in the scheme of things than the National Human Rights Commission because the decisions of the human rights commission is subject to adjudication by the court.

Let me explain what I mean with an example. If the National Human Rights Commission constitutes a panel to free Ibrahim El-zakzaky , Shia Muslims leader, in Nigeria still under detention they can only give an advisory decision to the President or the DSS boss. If the President does not act on it, the parties can head to court to challenge the refusal of the president to accept the advisory decision from the NHRC.

Imagine that even the decisions of the court which are made binding by the Constitution did not make the DSS to release El-zakzaky , how then do you expect the "advisory decision" of a Commission setup by an executive order without the backing of the law to receive enforcement by the President?

What's happening now is that the protesters do not even know what their problem was. They thought it would be hard for the government to end SARS and after the Government did exactly what they asked for , they then realized that what they stated was not their biggest problem and started making new "mild" demands. The reshuffling of the NHRC is a mild demand and would change little or nothing.

The Government will yield to it and they will make another demand.

The real point of this protest is that the protesters are tired of this regime.
I think you missed the context of the point I made.

I am saying being proactive to things happening in the government and reaching out to them to correct their actions or inactions.

What Falz did was to point out a loop hole in the promise dished out by the presidency through Adesina.

With the Mass action going on, the youths can finally have a voice to get the government to act to their needs.

Pulling down the government might be difficult but the point is that achieving an avenues to curtail the government's actions or inactions is a big deal.

I can understand not trusting but I can not understand total disrespect of a hero who has put his life on the line repeatedly for us.

The point is that he deserves better than disrespect.

He is a true hero of this democracy we have today.

I've read every single comment you've made on this thread and wouldn't take away your intelligence and objectivity which was well represented in every paragraph.

Nigerians do not really understand the concept of democracy. Most of the young adults flooding the streets this morning genuinely believe that they can change an elected government through violence or call the International community to make an elected president resign against his will.
If there is something we gained from this protest is the approach Folarin "Falz" Falana has given it.

Coming up the a 5 Plan Agenda and getting the Governor to present it to the president was a turning point.

If the protest maintains momentum until the agendas are achieved, we might carve out a route for better governance.

His letter for the President to constitute the Board of the National Human Right Commission is another sign of the same approach.

With a clear demand from the government and Mass action, we might have a return from this protest.

tinubu did the same against those former Presidents, where is he now?.....sowore should have remained an activist rather than contesting for presidency.

ask yourself what Aisha yesufu is doing right that sowore and oby Ezekwesili couldn't do ?
Aisha is doing well. May God protect and give her strength.

Oby and Sowore also did a lot of good and I pray for God to reward them too.

I don't hate him, I have no reason to.

He only looks confused and if he continues to jump from one side to the other he will not be trusted but seen as a serpent.

He should find his loyalty ground and get rooted to it.
Sowore's loyalty has never changed and will never change. He has put his life on the line multiple times since he was a student.

His loyalty lies with the Nigerian people and not any government.

That is why from Babangida, Abacha, OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ and now Buhari, he has fought against them for the Nigerians he is loyal to.

U dont have to let sentiments becloud ur reasoning.

Sowore is one of the major reason Nigeria is where he is today because of his hatred for Jonathan.

What so ever he is doing now to redeem his image is nothing compare to the damage done through his support for the fulani herdsman in aso rock.

All of his ilks should be treated the same to avoid further evil from fostering in the land.

SOWORE AND HIS LIKES MUST APOLOGISE TO NIGERIANS FIRST LIKE SHAGARI SON DID TO SHOW THEY HAVE REPENTED FROM THEIR WICKEDNESS AND EVIL WAYS
Sowore did not hate Jonathan but hated his mismanagement of the Nation's resources. The waste was madness.

So kicking against him was the right call. GEJ was a terrible leader. Close to madness.

Gej was too soft to be a leader but I am sure you know buhari was no better before you guys voted him in.

You know what he did to us in the 70s
First I did not vote him in. Never voted for Buhari.

This is not about if GEJ or Buhari is good. They are both disastrous and deserve backlashes from well meaning Nigerians.

Sowore lashed both and also other corrupt governments.

Why hate him for doing good for the Nation and risking his life?

truth still remains dat Nigeria was far better in his tenure

I never liked or supported him but I kept telling people dat Buhari is not an option

doesn't it shame you to know dat Buhari is your president in dis modern era?
F. this government. They are useless for all I care. However, their incompetence does not absolve GEJ for his gross wastage of our resources with little or nothing to show.

This is not about blame games but fact. GEJ was a disaster and had to go. Sowore was right fighting his corrupt regime. Sowore did not waste time to start a war against Buhari when he saw the gross mismanagement of the country.

Things looked better under GEJ because of the windfall of Crude oil funds.

Sowore deserves better because he put his life on the line to give us a better country.

the protest is apolitical...sowore ulterior motive was to become the front runner so he could use the protest for his presidential ambition
What was his ulterior motive when he was protesting for Babangida to give Abiola his mandate. What about Fighting Abacha. Was there an ulterior motive?

Sowore has done this for too long for your cheap blackmail.

There is nothing dishonourable about calling out and protesting against bad leadership. This same Sowore criticised IBB, Abacha, OBJ, Yaradua, Yaradua cabal, GEJ and didnt relent for a day to criticise PMB. But somehow, a lot of folks including yourself think he did wrong by criticising GEJ because that eventually led to PMB's emergence? Sorry, you cant fault the man's consistency.

If for instance PMB leaves power today and a worse candidate takes over, does that mean that those criticising PMB today are wrong for doing so? We have to be careful not to make this #EndSARS protest something about pro-GEJ or anti-PMB.

Regarding Aisha, I dont understand you, do you have a problem with her chosen religion or with her hijab? And what has her religion or hijab got to do with her stand?

Jonathan was a give and take situation but

Buhari is a take take and take phenomenal is like d man has sworn to make life very difficult for the common man

God help Us dat we d youth are beginning to see more clearly We need to start sending a strong message to dis Old niggas dat Come 2023 we will not have them at d helm of affairs

but sowore is a no no anytime anyday twice on a Tuesday
We entered Big trouble when GEJ wasted the biggest windfall of Crude Sales in the history of the country and got us bankrupt.

GEJ is part of the reason we are suffering today.

The excess flow of dollars hid his excessive incompetence.

He was sinking the country too and Sowore was right to fight him for his wastage.

Sowore Is As Confused As The Youths. He Was In Support Of Buhari and Called The Government Of Goodluck The Worst but Now He Wants A Revolution Against His Master, that Nigga is Not To Be Trusted
How is it confusing?

Jonathan ran the most corrupt government at that time. They had one of the best windfall when it comes to crude sales but instead prepared the country for hardship.

How do you expect Sowore to stand and watch? He fought GEJ's corruption and when he noticed Buhari was not better, he fought even more. Through the polls and through protest.

What else would a human being do?

Sowore deserves better.

Exactly. Erica isn't but it is clear he believes she can. Also it was also funny too putting her name amongst a-list stars.

That Laycon is actually a very smart dude. So he definitely knows an a-list actress.

He just showed his faith in Erica and tried to be funny.

I don't think so. I think Laycon believes she can be in that class if she puts her minds to it. It is funny but shows his belief. I don't think because she rejected him, he does not wish her well.

You guys are putting too much into it. It is normal to get rejected. That does not mean you should hate the person or wish the person bad. Laycon cut off from her and not bothered with whatever happens.

Not because he did not date her does not mean he should not wish her well. He believes she will be a great star. Clean her past and have a better future.

He is not warming to her but having fun while wishing her well.

If that is not an alpha quality, what is?

Laycon is showing massive qualities there. Caring, being vulnerable and just being himself. He is also showing strength in the time of trials and disappointment.

Acting mean and insensitive is not alpha. Confidence, strength and care is the true alpha quality.
