He has just been offered a bank job in akwa ibom state, however its a contract job in a commercial banks IT department with a salary of 95,000. Also, he comes from Akwa Ibom.

Thing is he currently employed here in Lagos as a full staff and earns 85,000. however he doesn't enjoy the job.

Now should he stick with this 85k job or take up the 95k job offer knowing how bank contract staff are usually treated, but how stress free akwa ibom is.

Financially, the job in Akwa Ibom might look better; contract status notwithstanding.

However, the big disadvantage is moving away from Lagos. I don't what Akwa Ibom has to offer in terms of career opprotunity but in Lagos opportunities abound.

A lot of Pro and Anti MMM articles have been written on NL and I never felt the urge to take any of them seriously until i read the referenced "Pro MMM" article pushed to FP not too long ago. I guess the topic misled the Mod to push this to the FP as NL stand on MMM is no secret to all Nairalanders (A good thing I would say).

The writer of the article made reference to a certain group he term THE RELIGIOUS GROUP which is where my issue is. He claimed and I quote "The Religious Group. They say God told them that people who invested in MMM had their names struck out of the Book of Life. Liars they are. God told them nothing! And they would not go unpunished after using God's name in vain".


God may not have spoken to anyone concerning MMM, but His words are crystal clear about schemes like this. For the records, I first got informed of mmm on 29th Jan. 2016 (via a text message with the title INFO - Pics attached) but I stood on my ideals and refuse to participate. Why? I knew it was a ponzi. It is not new in the country and the world at large. Agony and Tears are always the end products as some people must loose the "investment" to close the cycle.


Let's not deceive ourselves. All participants knew it is always going to end this way. They know that their gains will eventually bring tears to the faces of some people. But they never care as long as they cash out before the calamity. Where is the fear of God in that?

This MMM saga only proves that being religious is not the same as having fear of God and respect for His words. Personally, I am still struggling to to admit the reality that some of the friends, associates and family who I have high regards for in religious spheres and ideals fell for the money making temptation of MMM. I am talking of very active religious individuals. Some of them cashed out while some of them were not so lucky.
And to even think religion centres also help in marketing this shows how greedy and morally decadent our society is.

This saga has revealed the basis of the problem in our country - GREEDY; and making money at the price of another person's sorrow or possibly suicide.

The blood from every suicide from MMM is on all of you that cashed out and are rejoicing. Forget your "everybody knows the risk" excuse. Your case is similar to the Blood Diamond case. Blood Money it is.

Lastly, for the ignorant OP of the referenced topic, below is Islam's position on unjust interest earning (RIBA in Arabic). And I would want to believe the Bible has similar stance.
