Hello, I will advise you apply with your pgd, since its taking forever to get Masters. If u have gone though previous threads u will come across peeps that have gotten their TRV with PGD. A particular person here(I think Part 12 or so) got this TRV with PGD within a month. We have also seen how PHD and Masters applicants have also been denied Visas. So it not about PGD, Masters or PHD, Its how well you present yourself to the VOs through your application. I have 2 friends that got their TRV to this same Conestoga College, they are in Canada as we speak. Please do not get me wrong, I am not trying to discourage you from getting your Masters, all what am trying to say is that you can get your TRV with ur PGD, You just have to submit the required documents and hava a strong SOP to convince the VO that you are a genuine Student. All the best Osiokoye: Hi good morning, please I need your help. I graduated with a 2.1 (3.69 Cgpa) I applied for masters in three different universities, last two years I wasn't given so I tried conestoga college. I was given. I went ahead to use maple education agency and I was denied visa on October 2017 for the lack of funds reason. I decided to apply for fall 2018 in three universities; Saskatchewan, Guelph and McGill ( for the second time). I got denied admission for Saskatchewan and Guelph and I've already lost hope for McGill. My question is, do I just apply with my college admission and state I didn't get into university that's why I'm ping for PGD? Cause I don't have much fight left in me. I anticipate your reply. Thank you |

Ok, Thanks. I dont have a spouse tho, my Dad is my sponsor. mcobex: Concerning funds, the visa officer was concerned how you will pay your tuition fee for the subsequent year(s). Your spouse sorry should show proof of funds and how he intends paying your next tuition fee and living expenses |

I actually explained in my previous SOP the reason I wanted to study in Canada, maybe it wasnt convincing enough, dunno. Also I provided proof of fund for a year because i actaully attached the receipt for the fee with my previous Application. Am just surprised why I was still rejected. Thanks for your Input mcobex: This is purpose of visit and fund issue. You didn't explain well in your sop why you intend schooling in Canada and not here in Nigeria as there are schools offering same course here and it's cheaper. Also you didn't provide proof of fund for your program(after the first year).. The travel history to me is just as a result of the first two, tackle those two and travel history will be taken care of |

Thanks bro.. OFFICIALAEL: Dom account = Domiciliary Account ( if you don’t have one, you should open one with any of the Nigerian banks of your choice, print the account statement showing your dad deposited 10,000 CAD for your living expenses)
Since you have a younger brother, your Sponsor should State it in his affidavit of sponsorship that he only has one person depending on him ie your younger brother, asides you. He should also state an estimate of what he spends yearly on your younger brothers academics only).
To me this will help the VO see that there’s enough available fund to cater for your 2yrs study in Canada.
All the best. |

Yes, I have a younger Brother. And please what do u mean by lump sum deposit and also dom account? OFFICIALAEL: Does your sponsor have other financial commitments apart from you ( like younger siblings) because your application seems tight enough.
Also I’d advice you tell your dad to pay the living expense fee into your dom account
Ensure the bank account he used for the application is not his business or company account ( with no lump sum deposit that isn’t accounted for)
Restructure your SOP
And pray! |

ok. This are the answers to your questions 1. 2 years 2. yes 3. No 4.20 Million. My sponsor is my Dad. Hes retired and also has a company. Submitted the company documents and also his retirement document. 5. Yes. I expalained vividly the reason for the program 6. Of course. Submitted my Employment letter, payslips, Id card e.t.c I still dont know the reason why i was still rejected. Its painful soemone can still get rejeted een after submtteing the necessary documents. Thanks alot OFFICIALAEL: Sorry about the delay. From the VO’s report you failed to convince him/her that you have strong financial backing and that there’s high job opportunity in your career path here in Nigeria. My questions to you are 1. How many years is the program? 2. Did you pay one year tuition? 3. Did your sponsor transfer 10,000 CAD to your acc as living expense fee 4 How much liquid cash did your sponsor show during your application? And did he/she explain source of income ? (Note that it’s not advisable to use a company or business account ) 5. In your SOP did you explain why this program, why Canada, future plans after studying, how the program exposes you to opportunities in Nigeria. Stating brief and concise meaningful accounts of each year since your graduate study. 6 lastly if you are working here in Nigeria did you submit documents to back it up. |

Read well please, wasnt requesting for the link. Also if you have gone through previous parts of this forum, You will come across an applicant that got his TRV within 20 days(with PGD). And that is the fastest I have seen so far on this thread. Even Masters Applicant get refusal, just give what the VOs want. be gud osento: You are requesting link for GCMS file, you want to apply for the 3rd time, I guess that is PGD.... Is just 1:10 the refusal of PGD and PGC is so tidious... |

Where did u get that info? Some PGD applicants here are already in Canada. osento: Please can someone answer this question..... Why don't VO gives visa to PGD or PGC. If they know there is no way, it should just be stated instead of making someone waste time.. |

Good Afternoon great pipu. Please anyone in canada who can help me apply for GCMS note or if you know anyone over there please help me with it. Please its urgent, so I can re-fire(after 2 refusals) on time for my resumption date. Thank You |

So sorry about this, my 2nd application was also refused same day(15/11/2017) as yours but am planning to re-fire the 3rd time. Please can u send me your email address. Thanks Arebo: Long post alert!
1st app: Submitted: 23/6/17 Refused: 31/8/17 2nd app: Submitted: 18/10/17 Refused: 15/11/17 Thanks to everyone, I finally picked up my passport, here is to correct the notion that I was being negative even before I submitted my 2nd application by asking if after tackling issue of funds which was the only reason for the first denial 'Lump sum deposit' as seen on the gcms note, I asked solely because I didn't put in for masters as I am a nurse and masters in nursing is not open to international nurses, so I opted for Pgc in nursing (Enhanced Nursing Practice), I gave my application another shot because I was initially refused based on just funds, picked up my refusal note now to see: 1. Purpose of visit 2. Travel history 3. Personal asset and financial status 4. Employment situation Finances wasn't ticked this time, Safe to say, a different VO reviewed and saw my app as not justified for approval, it all balls down to the level/choice of course. This forum has sure made me stronger, this forum gave me hope to even put in for the 2nd application, not getting approved is devastating but please let the pain make you better and not bitter, thanks to everyone & I wish all applicants the best. Signing Out! |

Congrats Nzo1, Please how did u order for your GCMS NOTE? Nzo1: Greetings Bosses, you guys are doing a terrific job here. I was a silent follower on this thread for long but I reached out to guys here when my first TRV application was refused back in July. My second application has just been approved. We Bless God!
Here's my timeline:
M.Eng (Electrical Engineering, MUN)
1st Application: May 5th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Refused: July 7th, 2017 (Insufficient Funds for tuition fees, Purpose of Visit, & Travel History) Ordered GCMS Notes immediately and it arrived on August 9th, 2017. VO said i was being sponsored by a third party (my cousin), limited evidence of relationship on file, limited travel history and weak evidence of personal financial establishment.
Meanwhile, it was a fully funded admission, i had to stress that in my second application while also tackling the above reasons.
Second Application: August 28th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Medical passed like three weeks later (same upfront medical i used for the first application) Application updated November 14th, 2017. Approved (I checked my profile the night before (13th) and review of eligibility had not started)
Special shout out to @Thesoj; As soon as i got my admission in March 2017, one of my guys in Canada advised me to read all your posts from the beginning and i did, very enlightening. Thanks Boss.
Very big thank you to @Maziude 1 of Ottawa who reviewed my LoE and pointed out areas where i sounded desperate, Lol. Thanks Boss!
Special thanks to @Austinpee4, @Mcobex & @Jnyuwa02 for their inputs and advice on how to tackle my refusal reasons. I'm grateful.
I believe my Scholarship was overlooked in the review of my first application because of the way i filled the financial section of my first application form but @Osemigho's post on that subject ensured that i didn't make the same mistake twice. Thank you bro!
I'm happy to answer any questions and to help anybody in need of some guidance.
Cheers Bosses. |

Please how did u order for your GCMS note? Alantobie: Hey Guys my visa has been approved. It’s been God. I got delayed in August for insufficient funds and when I ordered my gcms note, it said lump sum deposit occurred. So after asking the gurus and going through previous posts for my situation, I decided to pay a year fee, open a domiciliary account and transfer my living expenses in it. I also added a detailed sponsorship letter and a letter of explanation to show changes made to my application.
