Ilovepdf is the answer to this. Just google ilovepdf and the rest is history. yerilistik: Hello good friends. I applied to a school for a masters degree in uniRegina and sent the supporting documents by mail. Now they have sent me a mail as below asking to change the formats of the document, please house how do I go about this knowing that some of the documents appear if jpeg form, word, or pdf.
Please scan all documents (transcripts, degree certificates, supplementary items) into a single Black and White PDF file and send as an attachment to an email. Files in other formats (i.e., jpeg, zipped, google docs, etc.) are not acceptable. Scan the documents in a readable resolution (100dpi and in grey scale). PDF files should be 3MB or less in size. If you must scan in a lower resolution to ensure all documents are not larger than the limit, please ensure the PDF is still readable. |

Background Check : The Embassy will verify criminal, security and/or other background information to make sure you are admissible to Canada. Review of Eligibility: They review your complete application to make sure that you are eligible for the program you applied for. After you have passed this, A medical request will be sent to you, if passed, Your passport will be requested for. After which your TRV will be issued to you. Senior Men in the House can add to this tho. Ogedadiva: Thank you very much for your reply. I applied middle of last month, it was paper route. That's exactly my challenge, how did you differentiate when VO is reviewing the application from other points noted there... Please, I just want to know how you guys check up on the application... Please pardon me... Thanks everyone Cc. Makano Frank Justwise Nyuwa ,everybody please... Thanks |

Nice piece Newman, but to the bolded , what if someone finished with a BSC nd work experience buh with a 2:2, and we all know how it's difficult to get Masters in Canada with this grade. Will you advise such person not to apply just because PGD is a red flag. If everybody finishes with a good grade, almost eveybody will go for a Masters. We have so many peeps here getting theirTRV with this same PGD u calling a red flag.. Let's not discourage the PGD applicants here. The fastest TRV I have seen so far on this thread was given in 20 days and guess what,it was a PGD. The best anybody can do is to prepare a tight application nd pray for God's favour, PGD or no PGD.Best wishes Newman1010: @BayourC, I'm really sorry your application got refused. I'm sure you will be asking yourself if these people that got their VISAs on the first or second attempt did anything special. They did nothing special my brother, they only presented a good application and also had grace. Most importantly, it was their time. We all have different times and never should you compare yourself to others. It really hurts, I was there more than twice. So cry if you want to but allow yourself to heal. Take a break from nairaland if need be and relax. Review the documents you submitted for the previous applications and check them against why your application was refused. I'm sure you don't want to miss out on this great place because Canada is a great place to be. Victorious people don't just quit, they keep striving till they win. A lot of people were denied twice, thrice etc. I know of someone that was denied six times. He never gave up. He is currently in Canada and will be getting his PR after getting his masters.
A lot of people have is easy in life while some others have to really work hard to achieve greatness. But a wise man ones said that "Ease is a greater threat to progress than Hardship". If you fall down two times, get up the third time and if you fall again, get up the fourth time. Keep moving till you get there. One question you should ask yourself is where do you want to be in the next 5 to10 years? Do you think you can achieve your dreams in Nigeria? if your answer is yes, my brother your a free to move on but if the answer is no, you have to try again.
If you have a BSC and good work experience please avoid PGD/PGC, it's a red flag. Try get a masters admission
Wish you the very best. This is for everyone that have been denial TRV, it will surely end in praise.

With realshifu's case, its obvious this VOs do not work on First come first serve policy. Many June applicants yet to get an update, while an applicant of July 26th, online route has gotten a medical request. Las las it all boils down to God's favour.. |

Woow, in less than 2 weeks? Congrats in advance. realshifu: Good afternoon everyone. I have been a silent reader here. I applied for study permit online on July 26th, was called for biometrics the next day. I did the biometrics on July 31st. My resumption is for September.
Just now I received a Medical request in my CIC portal through my email. Please can anyone explain what this mean? |

Dantezago12: I submitted my visa application form on the 13th of July via paper route and today Vfs emailed me that my passport is ready for collection without any other information, please what does that mean people? |

Is this ur first application? if yes, you can do without indicating ur first Masters, and make sure you dont submit anything that has to do with ur previous masters. But if you have applied before and u have declared ur previous masters then u will have to indicate it cos this VOs will def know cos they will have a database of previous applications. Also if you wanna omit ur previous masters in ur application, you will have to think of something to put in those years u did ur masters to avoid GAPS. Hope dis helps, Good luck taiwo92: @makano thank you. In writing my SOP what if I did not indicate any records of my first masters. |

Applying for Masters isnt the issue, the issue here is that you will need to do a thorough Job by convincing the VO your reason for another Masters when applying for ur Visa. Good luck taiwo92: Afternoon guys, please I will like to know if applying for another masters in Canadian varsities will raise a red flag for me when applying for visa because presently doing a masters in Germany. Any advice will be highly appreciated. |

I know of 2 June applicants that have been active on this forum, they applied online 1st week and 2nd week of June and have been refused, buh havnt posted anything here since there refusal. And am sure there are many applicants like that. My point is that 70% of June applicants have been given final decisions but only few come back here to update us. Dwebb55: Not true! There are many June online applicants that haven't heard from CIC yet. Even many more who are silent. Don't take silence as confirmation or rejection. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 10:39am On Aug 07, 2018 |
I agree to this, this is related to what i said some days back, most June applicants have gotten their final decision but they are silent maybe cos their final decision wasnt favourable, hence the reason for the silence. Cos like we all know July applicants are already getting final decisions not to talk of June. Maybe refusals are more than approvals thats why June applciants have been silent. For those still expecting a final decision, it shall end in praise. Lagos2canna: The canadian embassy is aware that school resumes in September, just pray you get a favorable decision on your application. Monday was good, Tuesday will be better. Most June online applicants have gotten final decision but they are silent. Why? |

SOP AND LOE normally should be written on a plain sheet of paper (A4), have not heard of any one using a letter headed paper for SOP, but a letter headed can be used to write the Letter of sponsorship if the sponsor has a Company, if not a plain sheet will do. Its not compulsory it must be letter headed, cos with my little experience on this thread, I have not come across an applicant being refused for not using letter headed paper. Good luck muizzzz: Good Morning House,
Please can SOP and LOE be written on a plain sheet of paper without Lester head
Also can Sponsorship letter be written like SOP and LEO Incase the sponsorer has no company with letter head paper.

3 quick questions please? 1. How many times were you delayed 2. was it an Online application or Paper route 3. What did you do differently in ur re-pakaged application that made u get ur Visa within 3 weeks? Thanks andre99: Hi guys, i just want to make a contribution as regarding some applications getting approved under 4 weeks, i'm a living witness to this. After previous delay, i repackaged and i got my application approved in 3 weeks 5 days and yes it was from Lagos visa office because of the correspondent i received when i got my package back from VFS. A monicker by drhammed mentioned here yesterday that some applications are treated in Lagos, he is very right. I think Lagos VOs do reply to application on time, be it an approval or a delay. Lagos VOs are more favourable in approving applications from the look of things.
In conclusion, no one knows the main reason why they route some applications to different visa offices like Nairobi Kenya, Accra Ghana, Dubai, London and even Mali for Nigerian applicants.
Always remain prayerful so as to meet favour in the sight of the visa officers. Monday is a public holiday in Canada and this is applicable to VFS as well i think, not 100% sure. Happy weekend guys. |

I dont wanna believe they have not started attending to June applicants, its possible they have attended to some and maybe unfortunately those that have been attended to were refused and they have not gotten back to this forum cos of their disappointment or heart break. So I wanna believe they have actually attended to some June applicants but we are not getting feedback here as a result of their outcomes cos for God sake, this is August and everybody keeps on saying June applicants have not yet been attended to, I dnt wanna bliv that is true tho.. I’m trying to link my application online but it’s saying no records found. I’ve used the account to link a previous application before, could that be the cause? Do I have to create a new account and link it? Or is it that the application hasn’t gotten to cic yet? |

While waiting for my Biometrics today at VFS, I saw like 4 white ladies and 2 white guys coming out and entering a particular room that had "restrcicted area" on the door. Hello Guys, I have done my Biometrics today despite doing it in my last application. The Attendant there told me same thing u guys said here. Also my Biometrics enrollment date has also been updated from that of last year to today's date. jnyuwa02: This is spot on and what I have been preaching all day. The July 31st new rule is not retroactive. It does not apply to people who applied before the date, only people applying on July 31st and thereafter won’t need to give biometrics. So yes Makano, you should expect to take biometrics tommorrow. Good luck! |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 6:27pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
Ok noted.. Tnks Frankrobbn1: From my point of view, I think you are suppose to undergo biometrics again. Because the rule says applicants that did biometrics after 31/7/2018 will not have to submit their finger prints till after 10years. Looking closely from your profile, I was baffled to see the biometrics enrollment date being last year (2017) and expiration date as (2027). Inorder not to judge by our assumptions, I'll be very eager to know if you finally did this biometrics of yours at the VFS Office.
Keep the house updated on how you went about this. Finally, I don't advise you mail CIC because of this issue at hand. It's not reasonable to do so. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 6:26pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
Noted. jnyuwa02: Please keep the house updated what you find out tommorrow during your biometrics. We are critically depending on you for this vital information. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 3:24pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
Ok, Tnks. jnyuwa02: If you applied before July 31st, you need to pay for biometrics and redo even if you applied before. Proceed with your biometrics please. Your profile is reading correctly as expected for someone who just applied and yet to take biometrics. Payment of $285 you made was correctly charged I beleive. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 3:22pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
Ok, tnks. what email should i send it to? ayoadefantastic: I think you should send them an email with "urgent" on the subject. I will not be suprised if you get there tomorrow and you are told you do not need another biometrics. IMO I think the new policy has to do with "when you want to do the new biometrics" And not "when you applied for a new biometrics" which in your case it is now August 1st and not pre-July 31st! They even show the expiration of your 1st biometric (2027) that is convincing. |
