1. Yes
2. He's 60 years
3.No

So does he still have a chance ?
mcstan18:
Not to burst anyone's bubble but for the said person to have statutorily retired, he must've either;
1. Been in service for a period not exceeding 35 years
2. Attained the official retirement age of 65 or thereabout
3. Been terminally ill and forced into retirement

Either of these would be a major militating factor to the person's eligibility in the first place. Sorry, there's likely to be no hope (through express entry).

Hello guys, please someone who has done paper application before, the passport data page, is it only the page with ur picture or should it carry the first two pages?

I meant ur friend (Sponsor) needs to do his homework(not you) to convince the Vo that he is very capable to sponsor you since he isnt a Father, Mother, Uncle or a close relation that most peeps use as sponsors. He will need to show financial documents(You can go through previous threads for that part 11, 12, 13). 2. When u said Diploma, do u mean PGD? If yes, then u have a chance. Having an HND and going for a PGD course shows progression so far the course u studied is in line with what u are planning of studying. Good luck

Thanks for your response.

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 7:00pm On Apr 09, 2018
If ur friend is very capable to sponsor you, why not. Buh he will need to really do his homework as ur sponsor to convince the VO cos the truth is i haven't seen a friend as sponsor since ma stay on dis thread. 2. U can use more than 1 sponsor very possible.. good luck
Kezbaba:
HI GUYS,
Please i need your advice i am a HND holder and i have received my letter of acceptance for advance diploma program in nova scotia. i have printed out the study visa application, have all the requirement aside my proof of financial status which does not meet their requirement but my friend is ready to help me out.
My question is how do i go about it using my friend as a sponsor?
can one have more than one sponsor?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 6:12pm On Apr 09, 2018
You will fill with a pen for paper application. Try getting it before going to VFS cos it's quite expensive to get a copy around the VFS.
annaliese88:
Please how do I fill the study permit questionnaire? Print out and fill with a pen?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 3:58pm On Apr 05, 2018
Yours has passed the normal processing time. You need to write a letter to the embassy or you link your application online to know the actual status of your application.
Bellapette1:
Please is there anyone that has been waiting since December for his or her trv? undecided ... If the processing time is this short, why are they not done with those that submitted last year?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 7:47pm On Apr 03, 2018
1. You can use ur naira debit card. I used ma FCMB debit card for mine. So I guess any bank will do

2. You don't necessarily need to take class. You can download tutorials from YouTube and also download the app from play store. Best of luck
MISFITrep:
Hello everybody,
Pls I need info on some issues

1. How do I pay online college application fees? Do I need a domiciliary account (with Canadian dollars) ? Or how is it done?

2. Who here took the IELTS academic? Did you take classes? Does one really need classes? Where did you get study materials from?

Thank you and have a great day
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 7:22pm On Apr 03, 2018
No. The most important thing is for you to convince the VO and go straight to the point without unnecessary stories .
Prudento:
Guys, please is a three pages letter of explanation too much?

Please do Canadian embassy consider age before granting visa? I am at my early 40s and I am planning to apply for a study visa through CANADIAN CPA which is a Professional program for Accountants in Canada. Are there any other places in Nigeria aside children practice, Lagos where this medical can be done or that has been recommended in the past?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 5:43pm On Mar 27, 2018
U still asking how is it possible? The most important thing is that the said person has gotten his/her visa approved.. grin
chkb:
Hello house, sth strange happened today, a friend got his visa approved. When I asked him who stood as his sponsor, he told me his Sister in USA. He said she did not have much in her acct but that she works in a clinic as a registered nurse(RN). That she provided her payslips. Her status in d states as a Citizen, Letter of support. That is all. House is it possible.

Hello house, please hope a 12 page SOP/LOE isn't too much . Please note this is my 3rd application . So I patiently and really tackled the four reasons my previous application was refused . This is the reason for my 12 page SOP. So I hope this won't be much for an SOP. I will appreciate ur response.
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 11:34pm On Mar 25, 2018
Nope it's not possible. It's either u do upfront medicals or u wait for CIC request for medicals. Medicals will surely be done before ur TRV is approved
Flawlessheyi:
Is possible not to do medical and still have TRV approved?
What is the difference between CALA or GHAN in tracking number is?

I totally agree with this. No one is saying the moniker is a Visa Oficer or not buh he gives perfect annwers to queries brought here which will really help a lot of peeps concerning their application. I obseved he has accurate informations that can benefit us here. Dunno any Visaofffcer, Just my candid Opinion.
Austinpee4:
@Justwise

While i understand that you have to apply strict measures as to how and who use the forum, i still suggest you accommodate people that can give or have given very vital and accurate information.

All we should do is to look out for how they avail this information while also mentioning that folks should apply caution in who ever they get involved with.

To be very honest with you, whether @Visaofficer1 or @Visaofficer0 is actually a visa officer or not, the quality of responses given today is typical of a knowledgeable person that might just be of tremendous help here. I noticed you deleted all his posts including the response to your question of him being a visa officer. Those information honestly are some of the most accurate i have seen on this thread in a long while.

If i were you, i would have observed the moniker closely, observe how he/she interacts here or better still confirm from sources of his indulgence.( i noticed he even mentioned his name and where you can source about him) while also pointing it out clearly that people should be lerry of who and how the indulge with people they meet on here. Anybody can claim anything but what is more vital is the information given here and how they are presented. It quite unfortunate you didn't give him and members here a chance to get to see how he interacts with the knowledge he has.

Disclaimer: i do not know@visaofficer1/visaofficer0
But i see much sense in his posts.

Did you use an agent ? If yes, then I am afraid. Buh if it's genuine statement of account, then u have nothing g to be scared of.
lordcabasa:
Good day house, I have been a silent but ardent follower of developments on this thread, and the knowledge acquired so far has guided me all through my application for visa with very minimum assistance.

Sadly today I got a mail from CIC Accra regarding my student visa that it has been determined that my "Purported GTB Bank Statement" of Account has been determined to be fraudulent and I have just seven days within which to reply or be banned for a minimum of 5years.

N/B I submitted the Statement of Account of my father and mine. Both were sourced from the Bank. Right now am confused and don't know how to reply.

Gurus In the House please help, it's 6 days left already!

Am not a visa officer , buh ma observation bout you shows you are so desperate to leave this country.please I will advise you don't put this desperation in ur next application . Calm down , get note and take ur time and tackle the reasons in ur GCMS note. Shalom
oyeleye900:
Thanks very much for your reply, please i hope if i can tackle all this five issues correctly , i would be handed the visa? especially the no 2? Because i am afraid when you said my chances are extremely slim. What is your advice. i will apply alone just like you said and tackle the issues raised by VO. nut what are my chances after this? thanks

The same PGD that is hard to get visa with, is the same PGD peeps here have used to get their TRV ilwithing 20 days. Please do not discourage anybody here. Even Masters applicants get refused . All you need to do is show the VO dt u are a genuine student . Best wishes
jnyuwa02:
PGD is very hard to get a visa with. It's try your luck. Try and argue well why they should believe you will be a genuine student and applying in good faith to go to school in Canada. Best wishes.
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 7:34pm On Mar 21, 2018
First of all, order for GCMs note. This will give u the actual reasons for ur refusal . Do not rush to apply.Do the right thing by applying for ur GCMS. Shalom
oyeleye900:
please i will like to ask the following question concerning my canada visa application
i and my wife applied on Feb 1, 2018 and was refused on March 1, 2018. i applied with student visa and my wife Temporary residence visa.
my wife was refused based on the travel history and insufficient funds.
i was refused based on insufficient fund, relationship between the sponsor and me, employment and academic history, travel history.
the program starts by may 1,2018. i am 31 years old , i applied for b.art and i have paid for acceptance and out of the first year tuition fees of which i submitted.
i submitted the following documents:
Sponsorship letter
my business letter
bank statements of me, wife and sponsor
waec results.
now, to my question i want to reapply by next week but i need advice , this time around i want to reapply for just only me and my wife will apply later in the year.
concerning the sponsor's account when i calculated the money , the truth is the money is not enough indeed, but she has promised to add to it to make it enough so that solves insufficient account
but how do i convince the V.O that she is my blood sister but she is married now andso her mind has changed?
how do i convince the VO that i will come back after4 years
i have done a degree here before , i was advised not to put it there before, should i put it now?.
i am in to computer art that is why i want to go and do B.art, how do i convince the V.O that i am really interested in the course?
What are the other evidences to show i am into computer art business?
what are those things i can put to the gap of those years?
Please advice your brother? thanks

Thanks Bro, on point.
jnyuwa02:
If your explanation rests that with 2.2 you can't get admission to a masters degree, it's a bad move. The VO would say you didn't even make it in Nigeria, why do you think you will make it in Canada where academics are much much tougher? So I say concentrate on talking about how PGD offers you specialization in your field of interest than a masters; how it would offer you long term earning potential than a masters. This argument is believable only if you are going for skills that require practicals and niche specialization. Specialty programs and occupation in essence. You can tailor your explanation in your SOP towards this. Best wishes!

Hello house, am asking this question the second time. Please what other strong reason apart from having a 2:2 can one use to convince a VO his reason for going for PGD instead of Masters . Please those of u that have gotten ur visas with PGD, ur contribution will be greatly appreciated . Tnks

Evening house, am sure we all had a great day.please I wanna ask two quick questions cos am planning of re-firing .
1. For PGD applications, apart from someone having 2:2, what other reasons can one use to convince the VO why he is choosing PGD instead of Masters. (Please for those of you that have gotten ur TRV with PGD, please ur contribution will be appreciated ).
2. I learnt the police report isn't an important document when applying and also Can one use a police certificate done in September last year for an application by March ending cos I spent 25k for the one I did in September last year, ND I don't think I have that much now for police certificate. Please I will appreciate ur contributions. Regards
