Just in case you don't know, water is one of the fundamental human right. If it is possible, the air we breath should be license to genarate revenue and prevent air borne diseases

That government has not provided it does not mean we should resort to illegality. At the end of the day we and the useless government are one, there is a procedure to get quality water, without licensing any body will drill anything and pass it as water, why do you think infections are high this days. Because anyone can puncture the ground and get water, as a visitor you will go to his house and drink whatever you are given.
But when you are licensed to operate, the fear of losing your license will keep you in check.

You might have get things mix-up. License to operate will have be for the drilling company, while what they are after is license for borehole dug, this in essence show that it is basically for revenue generation and looking after the people welfare is just and excuse tor the intention.

Is there any blue print in the medium or long term to have clean water accessible to every home, or the licensing is the bus/stop. Maybe you need to see how people without access to borehole get their water ( from canal, lake and mallam selling water) and compare with borehole which is not cheap in the first place before basing the premises of the discussion on using the license to regulate the distribution of contaminated water.

You are paying tax for the government to provide the water for you.
If you want to provide it by yourself, you need a license to prove you can do it and regulations to prove you are doing the right thing.

And how many household has been provided with water by the government, despite the revenue they have been generating. Isn't that suppose to be in the target of a state that is aiming for mega city.
BTW, water is basic and essential that you can't deny man, and no pro-people government will deny it's people of that.

Let's stop this idea of support mediocre at this age and time, countries that are not resourceful as us are getting it right.

I don't seem to remember the last time we have capital expenditure more that the recurrent.Imagine the ratio of the recurrent to capital expenditure, and we all know where a large chunk of the recurrent is going to.

Where is the infrastructure to support the FDI. Why not declare a state of emergency for infrastructure development, and assured security and see how the foreign investment will flow in.

Government failing in there responsibility and citizen failing in their duties, but they expect the citizen abide by their duty of paying tax.

And when are they going to leave up to there responsibility by making the road Worthy for the vehicles.
After paying for permit etc, we still get mediocre or nothing in return.

I still find it difficult to understand how they come up with this in the name of curbing terrorism in the nation.

Do they have a list of name they are looking for. So if one is not able to show my ID, then the person is a terrorist.

And if a terrorist is able to show a driving license or any ID, he is free.

Those saying it is done in a sane clime must be joking.

In a sane clime where everyone and everything works, we have database. So if they will be doing any random profiling, what they need is your name and date of birth to retrieve your details.

But do our security outfits even have any workstation in the patrol vehicle.

Sincerity at all level is one of the things we are lacking.

And the government want to embark on operation show your identity when we are not in a state of war, when we don't have trustworthy and efficient policing of the people entrust with the protection of the lives and properties of the citizens.
