I have been having this thought of quitting my job to learn driving in order to pick up an UBER or BOLT job but the fear of getting a car on hire purchase is always coming as an hindrance.

I am a family man whose salary of just #85,000 is not even enough to cater for the family .Before the salary even comes in, there are always debts that have been incurred.

Most times,I dont even get up to #20,000 as a result of debts and seriously I am fed up. Infact , I think of suicide sometimes because i am so depressed right now. I have rent of #140,000 hanging on my neck too.

An loan company Gocash,which parent company is Soko loan, borrowed me N16,000 on the 10th of March to pay back N23,500,in two weeks, to be due on 24th March; unfortunately due to some circumstances I could not meet up since I am a salary earner and having not been paid, I pleaded that I be giving till the last day of March, which is on the 31st March. Defaulters are charged some percentages every day of default, and I expected that, until at least the end of March when I shall pay off.

However, on the 29th of March, just 5 days after due date, Gocash sent defamatory messages to my contacts: friends, family, colleagues and others, that I am a suspected criminal on the run. Here is the text sent to my contacts: SUSPECTED CRIMINAL BY NAME, OKECHUKWU CHINDA, HAS CARTED AWAY WITH COMPANY'S MONEY AND THE POLICE ARE OUT SEARCHING FOR HIM. PLS NOTE.

Its importance to note that I have borrowed thrice from the company, and have a good credit record.

For better investigation, just go to their Facebook page and there you shall confirm my assertions from numerous Nigerians who have be defamed, threatened, and even been defrauded by Gocash.

Their Facebook name is simply ‘Gocash'.

I have lost confidence in the sight of my friends and other acquaintances. This have affected me dealing with people especially as they feel they can't trust me. Stay away from Gocash if you truly want your reputation intact.

Why this matters?

Dangote Cement has enjoyed Pioneer Status over the years and has often been criticized for not paying enough taxes despite its mega-profits.



The N97 billion incurred in 2020 is the highest company income tax reported by Dangote Cement since it became listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

It incurred N49 billion in taxes in 2019 and got a tax credit of N89.5 billion in 2018.

Despite incurring N97 billion in taxes during the year, Dangote Cement’s actual tax paid was just N20.9 billion in 2020 compared to N4.6 billion paid a year earlier.



Tax incurred in the profit and loss statement is an accounting provision and is not always the actual tax paid in cash.

Putting it into context, the dividend paid during the year is N272 billion and interest payments to its creditors totals N48.2 billion.



Improved Cement Revenues

Despite the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Cement Giant reported full-year revenue of N1 trillion, the highest it has ever recorded since it was privatized almost 20 years ago.



The company also reported a profit before tax of N373.3 billion only and a profit after tax of N276 billion, its highest since 2018.

So we approached this question by asking each partner in a romantic relationship about their own and their partner’s humility. We hoped that even if a truly humble person didn’t consider themselves humble, at least their partner would recognize this trait.



We asked 284 couples from the Detroit metropolitan area questions about how humble they were, how humble they thought their partner was and if they were likely to forgive their partner if they did something that was hurtful, like insulting them.
