It's the Phantom 7 Series one which production was between 2003 and 2011, so definitely not a 2014 model which is Series 2 but that's besides the point...i wonder if any member of that Church also has a Phantom...or blessing of this kind is only reserved for the Pastor....Fools will always part with their money.

I am not sure if this is the right section for this but since news came in of the Nigerian opening up a base in Epe, i have been digging the internet to find out more on the famed story of how they fled from Epe sometime in the 80's or early 90's when the Indigenes showed them " The gods are mightier than the guns"


The Lagos State University Epe campus sits on a former Military Cantonment, with scenic views of the Lekki Lagoon. The story goes thus : Military men were in the habit of opressing the indigenes , doing and undo because they were armed against a mostly farmer/fishermen community...They were also stories of females being sexually assaulted by the soldier boys and after series of complaints to the military authority, their menace just seemed to increase...That was when the indigenes and their Oba took matters into their own hands.

It was said that the Indigenes told the Military to vacate Epe and never come back and as expected, they called their bluff bit soon after ..Military men in the base started to die mysteriously like flies in a smoke filled room, No one had to convince them to do the needful.


Any student of LASU Epe campus must have heard this story, it is one Epe folks say with some pride. If you have heard this story too, pls share...I couldn't find anything on it on the internet.

Exactly, they could have invested a lot more and get a new team to design a radically different car from the Flagship S Class, it didn't help that the Maybach was even been made in the same factort as the S Class, That exclusivity niche was eroded by so doing.

When BMW took over production of Rolls Royce cars was when the most radical departure from the partnership of RR and Bentley really came to fore, they moved to a new production facility in Goodwood. The first car to come out from this facility was the Phantom 7, followed by the drophead, and coupe versions. In terms of Pricing..The RR equivalent of the Bentleys are generally a tard more expensive mostly because of options and more expensive premium materials used in the RR. For example the Phantom vs The Mulsanne,The Ghost vs The Flying Spur, The Wraith vs The Continental Gt..

After Bentley was acquired by Rolls Royce, The company formed produced both Rolls Royce and Bentley cars under the same roof at Crewe England, a tradition that continued even when the company went burst in the 1970's got acquired by Vickers who the sold the company to AG Volkswagen. This is why the Rolls Royces of the 1970 through to the late 1990's basically were the same to the Bentleys of that period, just different radiator grill badges..Then in 1998 a messy divorce happened between these two iconic British brands with BMW acquiring the rights to the Rolls Royce logo and the Spirit of ecstacy. After a lengthy boardroom squabbles involving Vickers, Rolls Royce Plc (Parent Company of the Cars division) BMW and AG Volkswagen. The two company finally got seperated which curiously makes today's Bentley cars the direct successor to the Rolls Royce of old and not the phantoms as the new Rolls Royce (BMW) company first product is the new Phantom. Although the Rolls-Royce brand has been in use since 1906, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars subsidiary of BMW AG has no direct relationship to Rolls-Royce branded vehicles produced prior to 2003 Thus the Bentley Motors Limited subsidiary of Volkswagen AG is the direct successor to Rolls-Royce Motors and various other predecessor entities that produced Rolls-Royce and Bentley branded cars between the foundation of each company and 2003, when the BMW-controlled entity started producing cars under the Rolls-Royce brand.

Rolls-Royce Acquires Bentley

Bentley was severely hit by the Great Depression and in 1931, Barnato notified the lenders he is no longer able to meet the debts he had guaranteed for. The court appointed a Receiver to Bentley and in November 1931, the company was bought by the British Central Equitable Trust which was in reality Rolls-Royce. From the acquisition of Bentley by Rolls-Royce, the future development of both car producers became intertwined with Bentley being dependant on the Rolls-Royce’s owner. This, however, has been shown to have no effect on the brand. Just like Rolls-Royce remains associated with pure luxury, Bentley remains associated with top sports cars and high performance for increased driving experience.
While the Bentley is known for it's racing heritage even with its tonnes of luxury features, the RR is geared more towards a luxury touring experience, so we could conveniently say the Bentley is the car you wanna drive, the Rolls Royce is the one you want to be driven in.

About Rolls-Royce



Rolls-Royce was created by Sir Henry Royce and Charles Rolls in 1904. Just like Bentleys, Rolls-Royces immediately attracted attention among car enthusiasts. But in contrary to Bentley, Rolls-Royce focused on pure luxury especially after the introduction of the iconic Silver Ghost with its own personal licence plate and aluminium trims. And while Bentley was struggling with financial problems, Rolls-Royce successfully withstood the Stock Market Crash of 1929 although it had to close its factory in the United States. However, Rolls-Royce prematurely lost one of its founders as Charles Rolls was killed in a plain crash in 1910, aged only 32.

You have issue with neutral sha, your second point is not true...you can roll down your car in neutral, the transmission still gets all it needs because the engine is on so is the transmission, the only thing is that no gear is engaged in neutral so it's simply gravity pushing the car downhill.
