Explorers:
A couple was on their honeymoon in Australia while this rare photo was taken.

It was believed that the couple entered the ocean together and the husband left his wife lying at the bottom of the ocean.

It is also believed that he must have turned off her air regulator too.

As newlyweds, Gabe and Tina went on a scuba diving
excursion in Australia.

Just before this photograph was taken (by an unsuspecting friend of the diver posing in the foreground),

Gabe was seen giving her what looked to be a bear hug.

In reality, he was likely disabling her air regulator and holding her down until she lost consciousness.

When he finally resurfaced for help, he swam leisurely back to the boat and calmly notified an instructor that his wife was experiencing difficulty.

The diver swimming towards Tina in this photo is the instructor struggling to rescue her, but it was already too late.

Back in America, Gabe Watson was acquitted of murder charges based on lack of evidence and cashed in big due to Tina’s substantial life insurance policy, and the dangerous environment in which she perished.
He was convicted of manslaughter though

I will gladly want to learn from you... could you please list for me and here how Lagos state govt generate their IGR. investigate also about the Ports, then you will understand how Lagos state makes lots of money through it. 90% of projects in Lagos are all federal and company owned. How are they making their money to have a budget of about 800billion while states like PH and Kano have less than 450billion.
I wish i had the time to point out so many things to you but i'll try to just make some salient points
1. Lagos makes good use of it's population, attracts the biggest hotel brands in the world, has the largest market, has the best state security apparatus, entertainment capital of the country....now all these will continue to bring people to Lagos and guess what...they pay tax as long as they live and work in Lagos, they also pay Land use charges and other sundary fees to the state government , yet do you know that it's still about only 30% of taxable adults pay tax in Lagos, all the biggest companies feel safe in Lagos and they also pay personnel income tax to the govt..
If we were practising true fiscal federalism, Lagoswould be rich enough to bail out even the FG, you can send me a mail for a more detailed explanation.

bookface:
Nairaland should make it a policy not to publish the pictures of accident victims online.

1) Human lives are involved in terrible tragedies like this. Real people with real families and friends. You should at least respect that and not publish such pictures for the entire world to see

2) It serves no useful purpose whatsoever besides people say utter crap like "eyaah" "oh dear" "God have mercey" etc.

3) Have some respect for human life for God sake. If you ever witness such accident, help where you can, but don't go online with the pictures of the victims.

4) Put yourself in other people's shoes and imagine how much more sorrow they will feel when they see pictures of their loved ones like this!
May God bless you. This has always been my position on things like this..
InvestmentRe: CNN Makes Fun Of Nigerians For Still Believing In MMM by makizee(m): 11:21am On Dec 15, 2016
HungerBAD:
Interesting.

The first time I heard about this MMM thing, was when some of my well to do friends from out of the blues started asking me for money from Nigeria a couple of months ago.

When more than 8 asked me for money,I now knew it was not a coincidence, and so I became curious. And I was able to get the information out from 2,who had invested Millions each that it was MMM.

The first thing I did,was look it up if it was legal in the US,since the US is the biggest market for anything in the World.

And the United States classified it as a Ponzi(419)Scheme,and it is totally outlawed by the Country.

There is a reason I go with the US classification of things,as they tend to be realistic about everything.

In the United States, there are no Landcruisers Cars,no Avensis and Peugeot products as they do not meet the United States standards for safety. But these cars are dumped in Africa.

This Country will not touch anything sub standard.

So if the MMM is banned in the US as a fraud, then it can only mean it is fraudulent.
You sure do not know how the automobile industry works...anyways for your information, there are Lancruisers in the US and other toyota products, different products for different matters, Peugeot pulled out in 93 and may just make a come back next...your other points are valid though.

As an automobile enthusiast (aka Car Freaks ) there are some cars you know that you would give anything….almost anything in the world to own or drive one, some because of their insane performance others for being such rare gems, one of such for me is the Lamborghini Aventador….No it’s not the fastest out there or even such a rarity but it’s got the looks to die for and the way the cockpit is built…it’s the closest thing to ever flying a fighter jet IMO …
Oh my Aventador…the name alone sef !

So which is that ride that you would absolutely love to take for a spin?

Have your say.

Christianity EtcRe: I Am A Muslim But I Love Jesus — Emir Sanusi by makizee(m): 2:56pm On Oct 16, 2016
alexis:
That is what happens when you become a muslim. You are forced to perform intellectual and historical dishonesty. Islam claims Jesus not only spoke he also formed birds from clay.

Assuming that is true - shouldn't that be a reason to believe His deity. Muhammed for everything we know about him couldn't create life or performed one miracle but Muhammed is on the same level with Allah.
This comparism doesn't even make sense, Muslims don't worship Muhammed, he is nothing but a messenger from God, albeit a special man in his eyes but he claims no divinity so muslims do not worship him, he lived among humans, married and died, the one Muslim worship is the Owner and creator of the Universe, the one that would never die.
Get it.

Honourable Mention – Mercedez Benz Maybach Exelero
By far the most expensive car our list, the Exelero makes its appearance under honourable mentions due to its one –off status, The Maybach was also built in 2004, but that makes its sticker price more impressive, Adjusted for Inflation, it would cost around $10.1 Million dollars in the US today…(Don’t bother converting that to Naira) close to the GDP of a small Island Nation. To see one on our roads would be sinful in fact!

Bugatti Chiron – Bugatti Veyron is now old news, although there are also versions of the Veyron that would be hard to come by…like the Veyron Vitese or the limited Mansory Vivere edition cooked by German witch doctors. it’s latest sibling is not at car dealerships yet, those that have them in their garages are those that have paid for them even before the company started mass production…Maybe we’ll see this one sometime in the future because the name Bugatti somehow seems to excite the money bags in Naija

Nevertheless…Maybe this one should just stay away from our roads.

Aston Martin One 77 -The British automaker wanted to make a vehicle so exclusive they made just 77 models of this vehicle, hence the name…And the 77 Lucky individuals paid for them even before they rolled out of the factory. Arguably the most classically handsome car on the list, this car is built around a carbon fibre monocoque chassis , with a handcrafted aluminium body giving it its sophisticated , aggressive look.

Mercedes- Benz G63 AMG 6x6 : Imagine The G Wagon on steroids with 6 wheels instead of four, with tires you can inflate and deflate according to the surface you are driving on. It was launched in early 2013 and by early 2015, the company declared the model completely sold out, so the only way to get one now is to buy it from an owner….probably an Arabian Prince somewhere in the middle east.

Even with the current recession, Nigerians are known to buy some of the most exclusive automobile brands in the world, From the Bentleys to the Rolls- Royce’s, Lamborghini to the Veyron…they are all on our roads especially in cities like Lagos and Abuja…Nigerians indulge, due to this current recession though, cars imported into the country has dropped sharply but even when all was rosy, there are just some brand of luxury vehicles you won’t find on Nigerian roads, some because of how exclusive they are, others because the technology that powers them is not readily available or simply some really have outrageous prices attached to them.
