"God's grace & anointing upon the life of this Joshua is so much, but Nigerians including our media houses are blind to that, & instead they plot to kill, destroy & write fallacy against him while foreigners rush in millions to tap from his anointing. No wonder he's on his own, his mission & vision is different from other pastors, of course their life style tells it. This is the only pastor I've seen in Nigeria that uses what he gets in his ministry to support his people, even built free schools home & abroad for the less privileged, which is a full time business to Nigerian top pastors. His haters blew up his uncompleted guest house to frame & put him & his ministry out forever, but they were disappointed by the CCTV evidence. God bless you T.B Joshua, you're the last prophet of our time. A prophet is not recognized in his country, if you had been a white man Nigerians would've been paying in dollars to see you. This country wouldn't have been like this if our leaders had listened to your prophecies. When you prophesied every irremediable calamity we're facing now they called you a prophet of doom, now who is doomed?" Read this comment online... - too much! |

Cursed by their own greed! What a sorry situation for the money-hungry businessmen masquerading as pastors across the majority of Pentecostal churches in Nigeria today! |
I am not a Nigerian but I can understand why other Nigerian pastors seem to hate T.B. Joshua. His messages and works expose them for the snide businessmen they are using the pulpit for profiteering ventures. They can use the name of God coupled with people's deep religious convictions to forcefully collect money from people! I pray all Nigerian pastors and politicians would read these words from T.B. Joshua. They are a real eye-opener! |
On Sunday 18th January 2015, Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua cautioned pastors against trying to compel people to give offerings in the church and politicians against trying to force people to love them through wild promises made during elections. “It’s Scriptural to ask for offering and tithes but it has to come from the heart,” the cleric told his congregation in an impromptu message. “Anything that does not come from your heart becomes a curse to the person you give… We ministers of God should allow the congregation to bless us, not curse us with their possessions.” He cited the case of people who attain wealth through bribery and corruption, insisting that the repercussions are severe. “If you collect a bribe, you can’t get anywhere with it. You may be rich now but at the end of your life, you will cry,” he admonished in a message televised live on Christian television station Emmanuel TV. “Let me suffer now and laugh tomorrow. Let me be poor now and blessed tomorrow. That should be the life we live,” he added. The known philanthropist counselled people to consider history to learn lessons from those in the past who lived big through corrupt means. “If somebody becomes so rich, if what he is having that made him to be rich is not from people’s hearts - it’s by corruption or bribery - you will cry for the person someday.” “If people that are collecting bribes know all of this, they will stop collecting bribes,” he continued. “The repercussions are not midway. They come at the end when we have no strength again to do the right thing. The money, mansions and possessions will collapse… The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. Whatever you do – remember where you are going.” He further decried politicians trying to coerce love from people, especially during the period of elections. “You can’t force someone to love you. In elections, you see political parties campaigning, saying they will build mansions, bring constant electricity and water… Love should be given voluntarily – without being forced.” Joshua also spoke scathingly of pastors who always emphasized money in their sermons, to the point that they would even fight members who stopped paying tithes or attending services. “I did not know when you came here, so when you are going, it is unnecessary for me to know. You want to fight a member because he left your church. Whose church? God’s church. Christianity is a thing of the heart,” he said. “If you give something from your heart, it will bless you that gives it and also bless the person you give. But if you give something that is not from your heart, you that gave has nothing to gain and you are giving a curse to that person,” he reiterated. He then challenged the congregants to examine their lives. “Count how many curses you have received to build your mansions, have your possessions and enjoy your fame and popularity,” he told them. The cleric revealed this is the reason behind his extensive philanthropic endeavours and non-emphasis on money during his sermons. “Why would I not give freely when I know if you give something from your heart, you will receive a double portion of it? That is the secret of giving.” He advised the faithful to help the less privileged in their own area in order to enjoy the blessings of God. “Sell those properties and possessions you don’t use, open a charity account, put that money there, sit down and begin to bless the needy. See what God will do for you. The finger of God will stand to fight for you,” he advised. He also encouraged Christians to remember they are undeserving of God’s blessings, an understanding that should reflect in their attitudes. “God is giving you another chance. Don’t abuse it,” he warned. “If you know that you are given another chance, you must treasure it. We treasure things when we know we are undeserving but today, we live as if we deserve things.” He admonished people to remember that God would ultimately ‘mark their work’ “If you know you are undeserving of the life you are living now, whatever you attempt to do, after you finish doing it, you should wait and let God mark it. He may say it’s wrong; He may say it’s right. If God says it’s wrong, we shouldn’t lament because you live a life of grace.” He reminded them that ‘God had the final say’. “You have been allowing challenges to destroy you instead of you to destroy challenges. When challenges come – my God has the final say, not my ability or knowledge.” SOURCE: http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/01/tb-joshua-lambasts-money-hungry-pastors.html |
T.B Joshua lambasts money-hungry pastors, politicians On Sunday 18th January 2015, Nigerian Pastor T.B. SOURCE: http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/01/if-tb-joshua-were-american.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter If T.B. Joshua were American… I genuinely grieve for my nation, Nigeria. A people so enriched with natural talent, a country so bequeathed with bountiful resources, a land so engraved with a remarkable history. Yet what headlines ring out across the globe today? Death, decadence and disaster! A nation ravaged by Islamic fundamentalists who chew sticks and cut throats with alarmingly fiendish frequency! A nation filled with power-hungry politicians who put personal aspirations above national interests! A nation polluted by the venomous fumes of corruption which have crept like a cankerworm into almost every facet of our society! With the 2015 elections around the corner, tensions rising and violent words being meted out by both militants and ministers of God alike, I wonder what lies next for the supposed giant of Africa. My insipid musings were suddenly broken by a tap on the shoulder. My neighbour for the next several hours on a flight from Lagos to New York had belatedly arrived, takeoff fast approaching. After pleasantries were exchanged, my morbid national reflections continued. However, they were about to be somewhat lightened by a peculiar revelation my companion shared with me mid-flight. After introducing myself as a writer, I pondered if I could publish his tale. He reluctantly agreed on the premise that I should shield his identity. After our discussion had danced across topics from Buhari to Babangida to Bakare, I bitterly told him that it was nigh on impossible to point to a Nigerian icon today that has genuinely put his country ahead of his own personal pursuits. “Selfless patriotism can still be found,” he defiantly retorted. “Do you know Temitope Joshua?” Who doesn’t? The bearded Nigerian pastor has become increasingly famous (or infamous?) within Nigeria of late. “Let me tell you something about that man. My tight friend knew him almost 30 years ago. He taught his children for evening classes.” My interest was kindled. I had visited Joshua’s SCOAN once and was quite taken by the unique brand of spirituality at work in Ikotun. Apparently, a young and sprightly Joshua was in the tutoring career before delving into God’s work. “My friend and his children loved the guy so much; he practically became part of their family,” the unassuming gentleman continued. But here comes the bombshell! “Would you believe he actually offered to pay for T.B. Joshua to travel with the family to America when they wanted to relocate?” What! So Africa’s most contentious pastor could have travelled abroad with a well-endowed family in his early 20s before he achieved any form of clerical reputation? “What stopped him,” I frowned, expecting to hear that perhaps his visa was denied or he had a sharp fall out with the family in question. “He refused,” my new friend muttered. “He told them that God said he should stay in Nigeria until ‘it was the right time.’ ” The answer given by the famous preacher several decades ago left me astounded. Which other young, fledgling Nigerian could have made such a decision and not be crowned a raving lunatic by friends and family alike, I wondered. Especially considering Joshua’s poverty-stricken background in Ondo State. However, upon some reflection, I can’t say that I am so surprised. Today, 30 years down the line, Pastor Joshua continues to tread the path of the unusual that has earned him the reputation of being both unconventional and unpredictable! While his counterparts (who have at one point in time vilified him) are embroiled in various political controversies via associations or damning statements, he has remained a consistent beacon of morality and magnanimity, choosing to let actions speak louder than words. I genuinely admire the fact that Pastor T.B. Joshua chose to remain within Nigeria, especially considering the economical impact his decision to stay has had on our nation. Oil aside, it is a well known fact that the nation’s main tourism revenue comes from religious pilgrims, the majority of whom make their way to The Synagogue for some form of solace. And evidently they find it, given the fact that the foreign influx has consistently increased as time has progressed. Despite unending controversies, The SCOAN has continued to wax stronger, its founder standing in the forefront of a positive message being spread concerning Nigeria to counter the negativity projected by the likes of Boko Haram and Niger Delta militants. I hope it will not take the arrival of ‘the right time’ for Joshua to set his tents abroad before Nigerians wake up to value the abounding potential that lies within an unusual church compound in a rundown Lagos environ. It is stories like this that help fan even the faintest embers of hope within me for my motherland. The very faintest… Samuel Olaleye is a young novelist currently in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In the aftermath of the shocking terrorist attack on The Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in Paris, France, controversial Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua has released a video claiming to have predicted the deadly massacre several months ago. “In a French country, this is France, I’m seeing an attack,” the cleric is seen telling his congregation in a video dated Sunday 20th April 2014. “There will be an attack there. They should take note of Wednesday and Thursday,” he continues. The clip, uploaded to YouTube channel Emmanuel TV, shows the pastor speaking again to his vast congregants the following week on Sunday 27th April 2014. “These people are still in the town,” he said. “I was saying last week in Paris; that was the location I saw last week.” The brutal attack on Wednesday 7th January 2015 by suspected Al Qaeda militants left 12 dead, including the editor, three cartoonists and the deputy chief editor of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. It is France’s deadliest post-war terrorist attack. “We pray that God would strengthen all the family, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives during the horrific terrorist attack,” the message on the Emmanuel TV clip concluded. Joshua, who is known for his wide-ranging predictions, made headlines recently for the prophecy he purportedly gave concerning the crash of AirAsia Flight 8501 in Indonesia. The video of the prediction reached 150,000 views on YouTube in under two weeks. I joined the service LIVE via Emmanuel TV. It was AWESOME! You would hardly believe it was in Nigeria - the amount of foreigners there even outmatched Nigerians, judging by the flags being waved in the church. Nigerians really don't know the value of Prophet T.B. Joshua! |
God have mercy on Nigeria - this is barbaric! |
A POST-GRADUATE student of Explosives and Material Science at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, Mr Biedomo Iguniewei, has testified before Chief Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe’s coroner’s inquest into the Synagogue building collapse deaths of more than 100 religious tourists that the building probably came down because it was attacked by a high-energy infrasonic radiation weapon. Mr Iguniewei, 37, claimed he reached that conclusion based on both his six-year work with the Defence Industries Corporation (DIC) and his apparently unsolicited private but brief investigation into the collapsed building. Until Iguniewei testified about the probable use of this esoteric weapon, it was not clear how many Nigerians, even in the scientific community, had heard of infrasonic radiation or its use as a weapon. Now, whether the coroner likes it or not, he will have to contend with this mystifying theory of low intensity sound, hitherto the preserve of science fiction. Postulating confidently before the coroner, Mr Iguniewei said that after studying the damage done to the building, whose foundation pillars were still standing, he had eliminated all other possibilities and concluded that the collapsed Synagogue guest house was fired at by an infrasonic weapon, either from a flying object, presumably the aircraft Synagogue officials claimed hovered over or circled the building, or from stationary location on the ground of indeterminate distance. Infrasound or anything infrasonic, whether of weapon — which are still being researched into or are already in very limited use — or of device, refers to anything that generates low-frequency sound (lower than 20 Hertz) for a variety of purposes. Mr Iguniewei reminds us, naturally, that infrasound cannot be seen or heard, and is different from acoustic or ultrasound. But he also obliquely suggests that weapons are always being produced and the producers are always looking for ways and where to test these weapons. But he is careful to hedge his assertions. Said he: “It is important for this court (the coroner) to be aware of this option (his explanation of the Synagogue building collapse), but why it could have been used here is another matter entirely.” In other words if the motives for the use of infrasound weapon cannot be substantiated, it is no longer the concern of Mr Iguniewei, nor does that fact vitiate his theory. Phew! He does not need to remind us that even before the last rubble fell on the collapsed pile, Synangogue officials had suggested that the collapse was probably the handiwork of terrorists who had threatened to hit the church, perhaps a vague reference to Boko Haram. It is remarkable how a rather easy matter to deal with, such as investigating the reasons for the building collapse and the unnatural deaths of tourists, should elicit the kind of confusion and complexities that have enveloped it. Leader of the Synagogue church himself has pointedly refused to appear before the coroner, for it is almost certain he will be embarrassed once he is put on the witness stand. And for a tragedy that involves the death of about 115 people, most of them South Africans, it is curious how Nigeria, in the name of due process, is allowing legal and bureaucratic fog to confuse everyone and diminish the impact of the lives lost. Worse, now we are being entertained by highfalutin theories of exotic James Bond weapons, the kind that the United States would have liked to use, if it had them, on ISIS buildings in Raqqa, Mosul, Sanjar and elsewhere in Syria and Iraq. But assuming such a weapon as described by the highly imaginative researcher, Mr Iguniewei, existed in Nigeria, why of all places would the authorities, in a government that courts religious groups madly, want to deploy it against the Synagogue Church of All Nations? Mr Iguniewei refuses to be drawn into that quicksand. He has thrown us a hard bone; he leaves us to determine whether our dentition can cope. Perhaps in coming to his conclusions, the smart Chief Magistrate Komolafe will doubtless put the evidence together and weigh them against all possible motives. He will also determine whether Nigeria possesses a craft that can deliver the esoteric infrasound weapon referred to by Mr Iguniewei. If his answer is yes, let him praise Mr Iguniewei for helping the coroner to come to an astounding decision. But if his answer is no, let him reserve very harsh words for the weapons researcher, who for one frightful moment, nearly made the militarily more powerful and developed industrialised West green with envy. A man of God is not supposed to make such proclamations concerning such sensitive issues unless he has heard clearly from God. Words are not cheap. |
For how long will they continue this? |
Nigerian students from different parts of the country stormed the premises of the Ikeja High Court, Lagos during the Thursday November 20, 2014 hearing in the coroner’s inquest into the collapsed Synagogue, Church Of All Nations building. The placard-carrying students called on the Federal Government as well as the Lagos State Government to face the real issues and avoid the diversionary tactics aimed at witch-hunting Prophet T.B. Joshua, whom they described as a fatherly figure. The students observed that unless the government made tangible efforts to address pertinent issues surrounding the collapse of the church building, they would have no choice than to embark on a nation-wide mass protest in solidarity with Joshua. According to a spokesperson for the students and a student of the Delta State University, Abraka, who preferred anonymity: “Please, government should leave this man alone; he has been like a father to us, giving us scholarships and supporting our cause. We wonder why a residential area should become a training route for military aircraft. Why cover up the truth in pursuit of lies? If government fails to address some of these pertinent questions begging for answers, we will mobilize all Nigerian students for a mass protest nationwide in solidarity with our father, Prophet T.B. Joshua”. Meanwhile, the police witness, DSP Olushola Agboyi, still maintained his position that the Synagogue building collapsed as a result of sabotage through an explosion with either electronic or chemical devices. Despite subtle threats from the magistrate, he stood his ground saying, “I have firm belief through thorough investigation conducted by me and my men that we can’t rule out the issue of sabotage. I came to the conclusion that it was a case of either chemical or electronic demolition due to the following three facts: first, when I got to the scene of the incident, I discovered the buildings fell with floors laying on each other. Secondly, I discovered that the smoke like particles from the video is typical of explosions which I learnt from my training as a police officer. Thirdly, the building fell in one swoop and in seconds which is a clear example of controlled demolition." Finally, the counsel to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Olalekan Ojo, explained why Prophet T.B. Joshua could not make it to the coroner’s inquest. He insisted that the prophet, as the chief mourner, had a lot of responsibility on his shoulder especially in lieu of the repatriation of 74 of the victims’ bodies to South Africa. “As you can see from the antecedents of this coroner, even if he had come today, it would have been a sheer waste of time since only one witness spoke whereas three were scheduled to. Also, he is very busy attending to the needs of the victims," he said. Nosa Osazuwa was present during the court proceedings... I think it depends on context. If this tragedy had occurred within a business center, I could understand if people called termed such actions insensitive. But we are talking about a church here - and one that attracts up to 20,000 to a single service! T.B. Joshua still holding a service shows that he honours God irrespective of troubling circumstances. Also, as others have already stated, the service provided an opportunity for prayer and reflection in the light of the incident. Contrary to what kITATITA stated, the church did not just 'carry on as if nothing happened'. Perhaps his own church acts more like a business, hence his thought that it should be closed down if a similar incident occurred! |
What a completely ridiculous post and video. The place you are talking about is the faith resort ground of synagogue. Thousands of people, not only from Nigeria but from Europe, North America and Asia visit The Prayer mountain of SCOAN every year, they even play videos from there on Emmanuel TV?? Where is the shrine you are talking about? Because it is next to a lake? Come on man.... don't believe everything in this world. wake up - what an utter nonsense. smh smh smh. |

WHY T.B. JOSHUA WAS ABSENT AT CORONER’S INQUEST Contrary to expectations, Prophet T.B. Joshua was conspicuously absent as a witness at the sixth sitting of Coroner’s Inquest into the collapsed building at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria. After a two hour delay in proceedings, the General Manager and CEO of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu was the first witness to testify at the inquest. Dr Osanyintolu alleged that his team was impeded from the rescue site by overzealous onlookers, adding that some even turned aggressive. However, some of the submissions he made in his written deposition to the court were contradicted in his oral account during cross-examination by counsel to The SCOAN, Olalekan Ojo. Mr. Oke-Osanyintolu had submitted in his written deposition that members of the church frustrated his agency’s efforts in carrying out an effective rescue operation but later told the coroner in his oral account that he worked harmoniously with members of the church in ensuring a hitch-free operation. From another angle, the counsel to the church had pointed out the visibly conflicting account of the number of dead bodies reportedly evacuated by LASEMA. The LASEMA boss’ submission that he evacuated a total of 86 dead bodies contradicted the account of the Lagos State pathologist, Professor Obafunwa, who submitted earlier that the death toll reached 116. He also shot himself down when he claimed the collapsed building was six floors but submitted in his written deposition that the structure was five floors. Mr. Oke-Osanyintolu further submitted that the Red Cross only arrived on the second day of the incident whereas a representative of the latter, Mr. Oladimeji Ige had told the coroner that he and his team arrived on the scene of the incident on the very day it happened. This continuing trend of contradictions drew the outburst of journalists and other interested parties within the court room. A mild drama ensued in the court when the presiding magistrate admitted that Prophet T.B. Joshua was not duly served by the court to appear before it. The revelation came after the counsel to the church, Olalekan Ojo, divulged that Joshua, being the chief mourner, should not be expected to appear in court. Moreover, he stated that the Prophet was not officially invited by the coroner. He revealed that the Court Sheriff only came and dropped a letter of invitation to an unidentified officer in the church, a statement which was corroborated by the court. According to the counsel, the rule of the coroner is that the witness be served personally. The magistrate said he expected the man of God to have read the invitation of the pages of newspapers, a submission which the counsel to the church laughed off as an impermissible court action. According to Mr. Ojo, “…the Prophet has nothing to hide because he is on the path of truth. However, things should be done properly. Until that is done we can’t discuss whether he is eligible to come or not.” Meanwhile, the entire premises of the Ikeja High Court was besieged by various individuals and pressure groups, most of whom had come to register their support for Prophet T.B. Joshua. The South-west Coordinator of The Citizens Club of Nigeria, Mr. Afolabi Olawale spoke to journalists and urged all conspirators against Joshua to desist as the consequences could be grave. He said, “We stand as mediators between the government and the citizens basically because of the gap between government policies and citizenry. From our observation, there is a deliberate plot to intimidate, oppress and frustrate the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. This man has been doing God’s work, catering to the needs of many, especially the hopeless and destitute. Instead of troubling him, the government should follow his footsteps in tackling the problem of poverty that is ravaging the country”. In the same vein, a serving Nigerian soldier, who preferred anonymity, said he came down all the way from Port Harcourt to show solidarity to the prophet, whom he described as a father figure and a genuine man of God. According to him, “Prophet T.B. Joshua does not deserve hassles from any quarters because he has done too many wonderful things for this country. As I speak to you, I cannot count the multitude of favours I and my family have received from him. He has been so wonderful to us and we thank God for his life”. Similarly, a pastor from South Africa drew the attention of journalists when he asked Nigerians to recgognise the value of Prophet Joshua. According to him, if Nigerians prefer to continue to condemn their own, South Africa would be willing to offer South African citizenship to Joshua to lure him to their country. The court proceedings will continue Thursday 6th November 2014. SOURCE: http://africanspotlight.com/2014/11/05/tb-joshua-absent-coroners-inquest/ |
APC sponsored media continue to expose the motives of their paymasters. Even the way The Nation and its ilk have reported on stories such as The Synagogue collapse reveal a hidden agenda. The media are supposed to be a mouthpiece we can rely on. Why has everything become so gravely politicized today? |
It's clear to me that issues concerning T.B. Joshua are bigger than Nigeria itself. This is an international issue and the world wants the truth to be told. Nigeria should not be found politicizing an issue of such magnitude. |
The conspiracy theories whipped up by this incident are crazy! First it was Boko Haram, then the American Government and now MEND. Perhaps someone claiming to be from ISIS will come out to talk about it next - or Al Shabab. However, all of this fuels the belief I have had since watching the security footage - whatever people want to say and whoever was behind it - THIS WAS NOT A STRUCTURAL ISSUE. Definitely, something sinister was at work. Let us pray all will be revealed in due time! |
The conspiracy theories are going crazy! They said America did it, Boko Haram did it, now MEND are involved! All of this still goes to confirm my conviction that the collapse was NOT a structural failure! I don't know who or what did but that deadly implosion was FAR FROM ORDINARY! |
