What words of wisdom!!!
CrimeNigerian Teenager Sold Into Sexual Slavery In Libya!!! by Makweembo(op): 7:57pm On Sep 14, 2018
"I Slept With 20-25 Men Every Day..."

Her heart skipped a beat. Could it be that fortune had finally shone its face on her impoverished family? That she would finally leave the ‘hellhole’ she called home? “So, I won’t have to pay anything here,” she naively quipped, trying to process the enormity of the offer that had been so coyly presented. “Nothing. You will, of course, pay back once you reach Europe.” His toothless smile bordered on benign. But desperation dimmed the warning bells ringing within. Miss Beauty John accepted and the spirited 19-year-old prepared the scanty belongings she had in Akwa-Ibom State, Nigeria, for the ‘trip of a lifetime’.

It was 2015. Beauty tearfully kissed her mum and younger siblings farewell, promising she would call upon her arrival in Europe. The car first went to Kano State, where she was roughly pushed into another vehicle with several other intrepid travellers. Their destination was Agadez, Niger. As the vehicle hastily traversed the desert terrain at midnight, Beauty plucked up the courage to ask about the plane she would board to Europe. “Shut up, girl” was the only answer she got. There was no going back. In Agadez, Beauty was placed inside a Hilux vehicle alongside almost 20 others. A tortuous four-day journey through the Sahara Desert lay ahead. The sun beat relentlessly, the young Nigerian clinging onto a wooden stick as the vehicle hurtled through the endless dunes at breakneck speeds.

When Beauty arrived in Libya, a ‘connection-man’ was awaiting her. But the conditions on which she set out on her journey were about to be radically revised. She would have to ‘pay her ticket’ to Europe, he stoically informed her. How? By selling her own body for sex. Beauty convulsed, blurting out that this was not she travelled for. “That’s not my business; you belong to me now,” he retorted, striking her to the ground with a vicious blow. Beauty had been sold into sexual slavery – by her own countrymen. It took the teenager almost six months to raise the requisite money to ‘buy’ her freedom – an equivalent of N400,000. “I slept with between 20 to 25 men every day,” she wincingly reminisced of her days in prostitution. Innocence robbed in the cruellest, most callous of fashions.

What transpired in the next 1,000 days are beyond what words can adequately convey. Beauty spent three long years in Libya – which she described as “hell on earth” – longing for the day she would ‘cross over’ to Europe. She worked as a cleaner in a hospital to support herself, saving up her meagre income to secure her journey. Finally setting sail in a makeshift rubber dinghy in late 2018, along with almost 100 others, Beauty had not even reached International Waters when their ship was flagged down by the Libyan coastguard. She was promptly imprisoned and finally repatriated back to Nigeria. “I came back with literally nothing,” she stated, adding that the clothes on her back were provided courtesy of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). “I wasted three years of my life in Libya,” Beauty concluded. “But God kept me alive for a purpose – so my life can be a lesson to others. I plead with my fellow Nigerian youth not to take such a journey and end up in prostitution, like I did.”

Beauty was among the 60 Nigerians deported from Libya who came to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Friday 14th September 2018, where they were given N2m by Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners to help start their lives afresh in Nigeria.

PoliticsHow Jonathan’s Govt Killed 200 In Synagogue Church Collapse – Fani-kayode by Makweembo(op): 12:34pm On Sep 13, 2018
Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has accused the Federal Government of being behind the Synagogue Church building collapse that left more than 116 persons dead on September 12, 2014.

The controversial ex-minister made the allegations in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

According to Fani-Kayode, the “church building was brought down by a remote controlled device which was detonated by a drone”.

He further alleged that the Federal Government acted in league with the Department of State Services (DSS), the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Directorate of Military Intelligence and the Lagos State Government.

An Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alaba Haruna, on Friday, May 11 told a Lagos High Court that an aircraft flew over the building before it collapsed.

Fani-Kayode’s allegations could not be independently verified by The Herald.

Recall that President Goodluck Jonathan was in charge of the country when the incident occurred and Fani-Kayode was the Director of Media for the Jonathan 2015 Campaign Organisation.

He said, “Four years and one day ago, on September 12th 2014, 200 worshippers from all over the world were murdered at Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) when a church building was brought down by a remote controlled device which was detonated by a drone.

“The truth about this heinous event has been kept from the Nigerian people and there has been a massive cover-up about what really transpired which involved the Federal Government, the DSS,the NIA,Military Intelligence and the Lagos State Government.

“Worse still they have all attempted to pass the buck. This event was one of the most evil and callous acts of terror in the history of our nation and one day every single one of those behind it will be brought to justice.

“I honor those that died on that day and I commend the tremendous strength and fortitude that my friend and brother, Prophet T.B. Joshua and his SCOAN Church have shown over the last four years despite this devastating loss.

“I call on the Federal Government to seek international help and to open a new investigation on this matter with a view to bringing the real culprits to justice. May the Lord comfort the families of those that were killed, may He continue to strengthen Prophet T.B. Joshua and the SCOAN family and may He grant peace eternal to the souls of those that were so cruelly murdered on that evil day.”

Christianity EtcTB Joshua Honours Victims Of Synagogue Building Tragedy, Warns Perpetrators by Makweembo(op): 2:35pm On Sep 12, 2018
The General Overseer of Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua, has penned a touching tribute in honour of those who died exactly four years ago in the infamous building incident within its premises of its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria on September 12th, 2014.

“Whether we die young or old, what matters is the grace to continue living hereafter,”Joshua began in a message published on his social media accounts, emphasising that the 116 victims of the controversial incident, including 85 South Africans, “slept in the Lord”.

He proceeded to wax lyrical about the ‘persecution’ that should be expected by all genuine believers. “The level at which satan attacks us seems to be equal to the level of our commitment to the Lord,”he explained.

Joshua stressed that becoming a committed Christian is akin to “accepting citizenship in Heaven and death here on earth”.

He went further to counsel believers to not fall into the trap of harbouring offence when facing harsh or unjust circumstances of life.

“If you stay free from offence, you will stay in God’s will. If you become offended, you will be taken captive by the enemy to fulfil his own purpose and will,” he advocated.

The cleric likewise pontificated on the inherent virtues of forgiveness, stating that believers must learn to follow Christ’s example.

“If He could forgive the people who were killing Him, we can certainly find a way to forgive those who hurt us. When we cannot forgive, we hurt ourselves more than anyone. Nursing a grudge damages our heart,” he surmised.

He referred to death as not “a period”but only“a comma”, adding that“when a believer dies, he goes into glory, where there is no conflict.”

“Those who try to kill us are only helping us to go home and rest,”he solemnly continued, coupled with a harsh message for those responsible for the ‘attack’ on the church.

“Those who send us home will go into further conflict; they will have more questions to answer than when they were alive,” he warned.

Joshua concluded by calling on believers to “honour the memory”of their fallen brethren, whom he affectionately termed “martyrs of faith”,by endeavouring “to live for the Lord and give yourself to the needs of others”.

After four years, the court case instituted to unravel the circumstances behind the deadly incident has not yet yielded any fruitful conclusion.

The SCOAN still insists the building fell as a result of an ‘attack’, pointing to CCTV footage of a military plane encircling the building shortly before its implosion, evidence equally attested to by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alaba Haruna, in a recent court hearing.

Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, also waded into the controversy last year, stating that “certain members” of Nigeria’s intelligence agency “blew up” the building.

The fatal incident, however, has done little to dampen The SCOAN’s popularity as foreigners continue to troop to the church on a weekly basis, making it West Africa’s most visited destination for religious tourists.

Christianity EtcMy Thoughts On Collapse Of Synagogue Building, By T. B. Joshua by Makweembo(op): 10:02am On Sep 12, 2018
Whether we die young or old, what matters is the grace to continue living hereafter. It is now four years since our beloved brothers and sisters slept in the Lord. We must realise that their death is an unavoidable call – a call to our Heavenly home that no one can disobey. Jesus said that if you do not take up your cross and deny yourself daily and perhaps even get killed for your belief in Him, you are not worthy of Him (Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24).

The level at which satan attacks us seems to be equal to the level of our commitment to the Lord. I don’t think enough people understand this. If you are totally committed to God, He will take up satan’s challenge against you.

As soon as we make a true conversion, a commitment asking Jesus to purchase us, we become Jesus’ property. Then satan hates us the same way he hates Jesus. That is why the moment we are truly saved, we are engaged in a phenomenal battle (John 15:18-22). We cannot separate warfare from salvation. True salvation is going to put you into direct conflict with satan.

Many of us would say: “Why should I suffer or die? After all, Jesus won the victory on the Cross and suffered for me?” But the question we need to ask ourselves is: “What did Jesus say?” He said: “I have said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.” (John 15:20).

Anyone who claims that he does not have to suffer because Jesus did it for him is indirectly saying that he is greater than his Master. He is actually contradicting what Jesus said. Basically, we need to give up our lives here on earth and gain eternal life in Heaven. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are accepting citizenship in Heaven and death here on earth.

Once Christ purchases us, we become aliens here on earth and there is a barrier between us and everything here on earth. We are servants, we simply obey the command of our Master. We do not decide what suffering we must bear.

Many people have been serving the Lord fervently and have come into difficult life situations because of being mistreated by either wicked men or carnal Christians. The truth is that they have been treated unjustly. But to become offended would only fulfil the enemy’s purpose of getting them out of the will of God. If you stay free from offence, you will stay in God’s will. If you become offended, you will be taken captive by the enemy to fulfil his own purpose and will.

If we are Christ’s followers, we must follow His example. If He could forgive the people who were killing Him, we can certainly find a way to forgive those who hurt us. When we cannot forgive, we hurt ourselves more than anyone. Nursing a grudge damages our heart. Life is too short to waste our time on things that have no lasting value or significance.

From eternity’s perspective, death is not a period; it is only a comma because of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. When a believer dies, he goes into glory, where there is no conflict. Heaven is our home. A man may die young yet be satisfied with living but a wicked man is not satisfied even with long life.

Those who try to kill us are only helping us to go home and rest. But those who send us home will go into further conflict; they will have more questions to answer than when they were alive. The wicked seem to prosper now and live without a care but they will spend eternity in terror and despair.

How can we honour the memory of the martyrs of faith? Endeavour by the grace of God to live for the Lord and give yourself to the needs of others.

Romans 14:8: “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.”

What a blessed memorial!

How do I end this write-up? Here, I drop my pen.”

Christianity EtcNigerian Migrants Who Recorded Viral Video In Libya Received By TB Joshua by Makweembo(op): 10:43am On Sep 03, 2018
The Nigerian migrants who recorded a video in a Libyan prison, which subsequently went viral, crying for the intervention of the Nigerian Government and prominent clergymen, have arrived safely back in Nigeria.

The group was among the 180 who arrived Nigeria from Libya on August 30, 2018.

On September 2, 2018, seven of the migrants were present in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos, where they shared their horrifying experiences in Libya.

According to Frank Isaiah, who featured prominently in the clip, when the Libyan authorities discovered the video had been leaked to the public, they punished him as the ringleader in the most barbaric of manners.

“I was hung with chains overnight and left to die as a punishment,” Isaiah narrated to a sombre congregation.

The following day, his captors took his lifeless body to a forest and dug a shallow grave.

As they were about to throw him inside, they discovered his heart was still beating and decided to return him to solitary confinement.

He described his eventual return to Nigeria, through the intervention of the International Organisation for Migration, as “nothing short of miraculous”.

Efemena Amu Steven from Delta State, who recorded the clip via a phone that was smuggled into the cell by a Senegalese man, described his time in Libya “like a horror film”.

The Osama Prison, where they were incarcerated in Zawiya, Libya, was engaged in the “business” of human trafficking, according to Steven.

“If not for the video clip, we would never have gotten out,” he surmised.

In the clip, the Nigerians who covered their faces, pleaded for Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, to help them, also begging for Enoch Adeboye, David Oyedepo and T.B. Joshua to come to their aid.

Esosa Odigie and Iboye Ufoma equally shared their traumatic experience.

Both boarded a makeshift rubber dinghy, locally known as lapa-lapa, alongside 120 others in an attempt to reach Europe via the Mediterranean Sea.

After three days and nights at sea, their boat collapsed in the middle and subsequently capsized, sending 118 people to their watery graves.

Esosa and Iboye, who clung desperately onto a rope, were among the four survivors who were rescued the following day by a Chinese fishing vessel and swiftly returned to Libya where they were both imprisoned.

Ada Johnson, who carried a 10-day old baby to the church, tearfully recounted how she delivered her baby in a Libyan prison cell shortly before being deported.

“I don’t know whether the father of my baby is dead or alive and have no contact for him or his family,” Johnson explained, adding that a Nigerian man impregnated her before they were both imprisoned and he managed to escape.

Prophet T.B. Joshua gave the group of migrants N1 million, adding to the N2.4 million he gave to the group of 80 who visited The SCOAN on August 31, 2018.

“The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are but on how happy others can be because of you,” Joshua said in a post to Facebook, which recounted the support he rendered to the migrants.

Christianity EtcTB Joshua’s Church Tops Most Popular Tourist Sites In Lagos!!! by Makweembo(op): 11:58pm On Jul 08, 2018
The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Lagos, specifically to the New Afrika Shrine dedicated to the ground-breaking music of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has attracted attention to the vibrant megacity’s most visited tourist destinations.

In a report published in The Nation Newspaper, T.B. Joshua’s famed Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) unsurprisingly tops the list of the most visited Lagos tourist attractions.

According to the report, The SCOAN “attracts the highest number of tourists not just to Lagos, but to Nigeria as a whole… The steady number of tourists that keeps streaming to the church is a testament to its global popularity.”

The article additionally cites Joshua’s ability to attract religious tourists who come “to find solutions to their physical and spiritual ailments” all year round, as opposed to those attending a seasonal event.

“The church does not have a low or high season… It has been visited by many sitting heads of governments, ex-presidents and foreign presidential candidates; many went on to win their elections.”

After The SCOAN comes The New Afrika Shrine which was the centre of attention during Macron’s visit.

It serves as the host location of the annual Felabration music festival, as well as showcasing exclusive photo galleries of Fela and music performances by Femi Kuti and Seun Kuti.

The Nation further mentions the allure of Nike Arts Gallery, Freedom Park, Terra Kulture, Fela’s Museum, Iga Idugaran, Eko Atlantic City, Elegushi Beach and the National Museum to round off Lagos’ most popular tourist sites.

Christianity EtcVIDEO: Zambian Footballer Confesses He Is The Devil!!! by Makweembo(op): 9:49pm On Jul 06, 2018

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH-ardJkq1s

Ian Phiri, a former player with Ndola-based club Forest Rangers, has given a shocking revelation about the black powers he sought to enhance his struggling football career, reports Makweembo Mwanasa.

In a video released to Emmanuel TV’s YouTube channel, Phiri admitted to visiting an occult shrine in Mozambique in a quest for ‘powers’.

“I went to a priest who said he would give me powers to play good football and make it in life,” the Zambian explained.

Phiri underwent a ritual in which he was stripped naked and bathed in water ceremonially boiled in a black pot. “He splashed it on me and it was very, very cold. He then told me to pass underneath his legs and never return.”

However, the dalliance with witchcraft backfired upon Phiri’s return to Zambia. Instead of boosting his career, the encounter only served to boost his lust for older women.

“From the time I went to the shrine, my football career crumbled and I began living a very reckless life,” he stated. “Anytime I looked at a woman once or twice and commanded her to follow me, she would. I began womanising, smoking and drinking alcohol all the time.”

With things going decidedly downhill, Phiri resolved to visit the famed church of Pastor T.B. Joshua in Nigeria in search of ‘deliverance’.

He explained that during the church service, his body became uncommonly hot and he “wanted to run away”.

However, when the ‘Morning Water’ from Joshua’s church was ministered to him, Phiri began to aggressively retaliate, clearly under the influence of some supernatural entity.

“I felt fire burning from my head to my toes,” he explained. “I didn’t know what was happening from that point on.”

Following his ‘deliverance’ from ‘the devil’, Phiri testified that his nightly sexual encounters with strange women in the dream had ended, as had his insatiable lust for the opposite sex.

Joshua’s church is the foremost tourist destination for religious pilgrims in West Africa with hundreds of Zambians weekly trooping to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in search of salvation and the miraculous.

Christianity EtcProphet T.B. Joshua: "Pray Against Interruption Of Democracy In Nigeria" by Makweembo(op): 8:11am On Jul 02, 2018
Pastor T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria, has called for urgent prayers for Nigeria against “interruption of the democratic practice” in the nation.

Speaking to congregants on Sunday 1st July 2018 in a service beamed live via the Christian television network Emmanuel TV, the cleric stated he had received a revelation concerning Nigeria on three different occasions, prompting him to make it public.

“I was in my vision and God told me to tell the nation and leaders to pray against the interruption of the democratic practice,” he bluntly revealed.

“The president’s heart is like a stream of water in the hands of God and He can control it whenever He wants,” he continued in his customary parabolic fashion.

Joshua then reminded congregants of the ‘prophecy’ he gave in 2016 where he candidly stated Nigeria’s future was “crying for help”.

“You must join me in prayer for the nation because two believers are better than one,” he stressed before enjoining congregants to rise and pray.

Worshippers then joined Joshua in asking for God to give President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigeria’s leaders “a greater understanding of God’s heart, discretion to guide their hearts, understanding that will protect them and wisdom that will rescue them”.

SportsWhy Didn't The Super Eagles Consult T.B. Joshua??? by Makweembo(op): 1:19am On Jun 17, 2018
My question is - if Nigeria had heard the outcome of this game in advance from someone like T.B. Joshua, would they have changed their game plan?

Remember what happened during the African Cup Of Nations in 2013 under the late Stephen Keshi. The team was receiving spiritual guidance from T.B. Joshua and they finally won the tournament! Some of the same team who are playing in the World Cup today received this counsel through the late coach. So, why can’t they do the same thing now? Even though this is a foreign coach, the team still have their will to express.

Consider their journey to win the AFCON and even the last World Cup in 2014 where they reached the round of 16. What of Ghana’s U20 Team who won the World Cup in 2009 through the counsel of T.B. Joshua? The video was everywhere that time! If T.B. Joshua said he will not say something publicly about the issue of football, they can still meet him one-on-one. Africa! Africa!! Africa!!!

Christianity EtcWoman Dumps 3 Kids At Synagogue Church, Drinks Poison To Die by Makweembo(op): 9:21pm On May 29, 2018
Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations has shown great compassion on a woman who secretly brought her three children to the church, dumped them and drank insecticide to take her life due to frustration.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Prophet Joshua not only healed her, he gave the family an undisclosed huge sum of money and she went home happily with the children. That had been the subject of discussion in the church as members who knew what had happened thanked God and praised Joshua for his compassion.

It was gathered that the woman identified as Mrs. Gloria was married and they had three children. When things became unbearable for the family, the husband abandoned her and the children and fled because he was unable to feed them due to hardship. Mrs. Gloria was said to have been providing for the children since her husband abandoned them with the little money she was making from petty trading. Their landlord was also on their neck and had sent them away from where they lived and they became homeless. It was learnt that when the whole thing became unbearable for Gloria, she took the children to the church, abandoned them there, went outside, bought Sniper insecticide and drank it to die.

Those around who saw her raised alarm, she was rushed to a hospital and she was eventually revived miraculously unlike those who had taken such substances in the past. She was later handed over to the police at Ikotun Division for the alleged attempt to take her life. She explained that she was frustrated, cannot watch her children die in her presence and so she decided to take them to the church and die quietly.

However, she was lucky as Prophet Joshua heard about it and then prevailed on the police not to charge her to court. He was said to have prayed for the woman and the children, gave them huge sums of money for their rehabilitation, her husband then surfaced and took them away.

Christianity EtcScoan Building Collapse: Acp Says Aircraft Flew Over It Before Tumbling Down by Makweembo(op): 1:25am On May 12, 2018
An Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Alaba Haruna, on Friday told a Lagos High Court that an aircraft flew over Synagogue Church of All Nations building at Ikotun-Egbe, a Lagos suburb, just before it collapsed on Sept. 12, 2014, killing 116 people.

The site of the collapsed building at the Synagogue Church, Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos. He said one of his patrol teams observed an aircraft flying low over the church and other buildings in the premises. Haruna testified before Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo of an Igbosere High Court on Lagos Island as a defence witness in the trial of the registered trustees of the church and four others. The church opened its defence in a one-count charge of building without approval brought against it by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) following the dismissal of its no-case submission on March 8, 2016.

The other defendants are the two engineers who built the building: Messrs Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun, and their companies, Hardrock Construction and Engineering Company and Jandy Trust Ltd. Apart from the trustees’ one-count charge, the other defendants are facing a 110-count bordering on involuntary manslaughter. Newsmen report that Haruna, Area Commander of the Eastern Ports Command, Port Harcourt, Rivers, was the Divisional Police Officer at Ikotun-Egbe at the time the building collapsed. He was led in evidence by the trustees counsel, Mr Oluseye Diyan.

Haruna said: “On that fateful day on Sept.12, 2014 at 12.30 p.m., there was a radio communication from the police control room at Ikeja that they were receiving calls from the public of an aircraft flying at low altitude over the church. “I was directed by the Area Command to confirm the incident and monitor the aircraft’s activities. “I wanted to go out and direct my men to watch out for the aircraft when I received another report of an airplane flying at a very low altitude. I went outside but I couldn’t see it, by that time it had gone.

“I received a call later from Insp. Lucky Ugbaja, stationed at the church that one of the church’s buildings had collapsed.” According to him, the radio room had earlier radioed the Police Airport Command to confirm whether it was carrying out any activity in the church vicinity. Haruna said when he arrived at the church’s premises there was a large crowd and the few policemen there were trying to manage the situation. He said onlookers kept trooping in and the crowd spilled to the roads outside the church, causing serious gridlock. “We were overwhelmed,” Haruna told the judge, adding that he called for more policemen and were provided.

According to him, the floors of the collapsed building were lying one on the other, ” the church members and others at the scene were engaged in rescue operations. “Those I met there were church worshipers; they were bringing out so many people from under the rubble. Most of the victims were alive. Some were injured, some were not. “Later the Red Cross, Life Savers, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) arrived and joined us in the rescue.”

He said the rescue mission lasted about seven days. During cross-examination by the prosecutor, Dr Babajide Martins, Haruna insisted that he could not recall any instance when LASEMA officials or the then Commissioner for Physical Planning, Mr Toyin Ayinde, were prevented by the church members from gaining access to the site of the collapsed building. He said:“Apart from the LASEMA GM who said he had a herculean task passing through the crowd, no other had problems passing through.

When Martins asked him why he concluded that the rescuers were church members or worshipers, Haruna said: “Commonsense suggests that they were.” Following the prosecution’s application for an adjournment, Justice Lawal-Akapo adjourned further proceedings until June 28.

That's why I LOVE this man of God!

It's so refreshing to listen to a pastor who does not shout at you with complicated grammar - flashing bank details across the screen and promising prosperity - but one who speaks simple truths of life in a manner even a little child can grasp and apply.

“The strength of the ministry is the relationship of the ministry to God; it is not the population or crowd, fame or popularity." - WORD!!!

Christianity EtcWhy Is Bro Joshua Iginla Using TB Joshua's Image For Advertising??? by Makweembo(op): 8:38pm On Apr 02, 2018
A friend just sent me this video -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en82nyTSHYQ.

Apparently, Bro Joshua Iginla will be holding a Crusade in Zimbabwe from 4th to 6th May 2018.

What confused me about the video was that they continually used the image of Prophet T.B. Joshua to promote the crusade.

Why can't he just use his own image for such adverts? Why bringing in the picture of TB Joshua?

Crime150 Nigerians, Others Shot Dead In Libyan Prison In One Day – Returnee by Makweembo(op): 8:59am On Mar 31, 2018
A Nigerian among those deported from Libya gave a shocking revelation of bloody atrocities taking place within the lawless North African state where a recent CNN report about human trafficking sparked international outrage.

Michael Oyakhira, 21, shared his alarming experience at The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, a Nigerian church known for its extensive humanitarian outreaches.

“I want the whole world to know what’s happening in Libya,” Michael said in a gripping post on the church’s Facebook Page detailing his ordeal.

After travelling to Libya illegally, Michael was arrested and held in a “prison camp” for months.

Describing the prison as overcrowded and understaffed, the young Nigerian sensed something ominous looming.

“Two days earlier, I actually dug a hole in the ground because I felt something terrible was about to happen,” he explained.

The trainee chef then described a bloody onslaught on the prisoners – mostly illegal migrants from Nigeria, Mali, Ghana, Gambia, Eritrea and Somalia. “I heard an explosion like a bomb going off, then the sound of rapid gunfire.”

Michael and a fellow prisoner both squeezed into the tiny hole, covering it with debris to hide from the massacre. “I buried myself alive to survive,” he vividly recounted as the sound of cries and gun shots filled the air.

Resurfacing at the eventual silence, Michael described the disgusting scene he met. “Blood was gushing like a river,” he candidly revealed. “They shot everyone who moved… I now know why most people who make it to Libya don’t make it back.”

According to him, “more than 150 prisoners died that day,” but no picture, video or record of the massacre was ever seen on international media.

Michael managed to escape before being sold for $150 into slavery by a teenage Libyan he thought wanted to help him.

“They would hang me upside down with my feet tied to a pole and then strike me with electric wires,” he said of the torture while in captivity.

After his poverty-stricken family in Edo State, Nigeria raised the ransom money to secure his release, Michael unsuccessfully attempted to cross the Mediterranean Ocean.

He was finally repatriated back to Nigeria with the help of the International Organisation for Migration on March 28, 2018.

Michael, along with 100 others, visited The SCOAN to seek refuge the following day.

They were given N3.3 million ($10,000) and a bag of rice each to “start life afresh” by Pastor T.B. Joshua.

Other deportees shared equally shocking accounts, including a young lady who was sold into prostitution in Libya, and a man who drank his own urine to survive in the Sahara Desert.

“Please tell my story,” Michael pleaded. “Warn young people not to take such a route! Let the world know the horrors happening in Libya!”

Christianity EtcHow TB Joshua Invested Over N100m To Sponsor Students To Oxford, Harvard by Makweembo(op): 10:23am On Mar 30, 2018
“The value of money is not only to build mansions or buy fleets of cars… The value of money is to use it to help others.”

THE above statement was made by Prophet TB Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) during the provision of a scholarship worth over £10,000 (N5m) to Hngshin Daramy-Williams a Sierra Leonean-Singaporean student to pursue his Master’s Degree in Leeds University, United Kingdom.

He is one example from the multitudes. From the onset of Joshua’s ministry, the provision of scholarships – ranging from primary to tertiary levels of education – has been an ongoing exercise. However, out of the thousands of recipients who have been partakers of this benevolence, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, two cases shine above the rest – Oduwole Olayinka from Nigeria and Mary Jean Nleya from Botswana.

ODUWOLE’S STORY
Oduwole Olayinka gained admission into the University of Lagos to study Electrical/ Electronics Engineering at the tender age of 15. She was academically brilliant but came from a humble home which lacked sufficient financial means to supplement her dreams. A devoted member and worker in the ‘Youth Department’ of The SCOAN, Yinka’s intelligence and diligence soon drew the attention of TB Joshua.

“I remember how Prophet TB Joshua would come into our midst and tell us his life history and the challenges he faced. He encouraged and motivated me do better than my best,” she recounted. When Yinka graduated with a First-Class Degree, the cleric stated during a Sunday service: “The church will take care of her education and she will attend the best university in the world. This will be done until the Lord says it is enough.”

True to his promise, Prophet TB Joshua sponsored Yinka to University College London (UCL), renowned as one of the top 10 academic institutions in the world. The fees of £18,425 (N9m) for her Masters Degree in Technologies for Broadband Communications were paid by Joshua and the “Emmanuel TV Partners” alongside all other living costs. Yinka passed with flying colours, obtaining six distinctions and two good passes to obtain the best result in her entire class which comprised international students gathered from around the world.

“Afterwards, I got an unconditional offer from Oxford University to pursue a PhD in Engineering Science.” This extensive program lasting four years cost well over £100,000 (N51m). “This was paid by Prophet TB Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners. To the glory of God, I got a PhD in Engineering Science, Oxford University on September 16, 2017,” she said.

“When I was growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, I never imagined that I would one day be an alumnus of the most prestigious university in the world,” now Dr Yinka Oduwole said after her graduation. “Positive examples are motivators for success. My success I owe today to Prophet TB Joshua who took me, nurtured me, motivated me, inspired me, sponsored me and taught me to believe that I could achieve far beyond what I could ever dream.”

“I never forgot where I was coming from,” she continued. “I am achieving this not for myself alone but for the thousands all over the world who are right now being helped, equipped and trained because of TB Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners. We are the leaders of tomorrow.”

Professor Geoffrey Thomas, Founder and First President of Kellogg College, Oxford, as well as Professor Tom Buchanan, Acting President of Kellogg College, both testified to Yinka’s academic brilliance during her time there. She was even highlighted as the sole African representative in Oxford’s Woman in Engineering – a list containing just 25 female scholars who are excelling in their chosen fields.

Yinka, whose PhD studies helped take definitive strides forward in the search for a cure for cancer, is now lecturing at the University of Surrey, as well as partaking in ground-breaking research into 5G technology. She plans to take the broad knowledge she gained from her academic endeavors to introduce such technology into her homeland. And her final advice to young students? “Work as if everything depends on you and pray as if everything depends on God.”

NLEYA’S STORY
Mary-Jean Nleya came to The SCOAN from the Southern African nation of Botswana as “an ordinary visitor.” When she met Prophet TB Joshua, “I told him that I had no father – not that I had no biological father but I had no father that was responsible for my education. He informed me that I needed only Jesus Christ to be my father. From then on, I became a SCOAN Scholarship Recipient,” she explained.

“A number of years ago, I tried to secure funding from the Department of Tertiary Education Financing but my application for a bursary was rejected twice,” the young student recalled. “That rejection left me dismayed but I didn’t know that the Lord was using that rejection to preserve me and set me up for a greater level in life.”

Mary-Jean first received sponsorship to complete her studies at the University of Pretoria in South Africa where she graduated with a LLB Magna Cum Laude. With the help of Prophet TB Joshua and Emmanuel TV partners, she then had an internship at the International Criminal Court at The Hague, Netherlands.

“During my time in The Hague, Prophet TB Joshua encouraged me to apply for a Masters at Harvard University. I was daunted by the prospect, given the low acceptance rates. However, I applied and later gained admission to Harvard Law School.” Her course at Harvard cost nearly $85,000 (N30.5m), which was paid for in entirety by Joshua and the Emmanuel TV Partners.

“Who knew that I would attend a renowned university that has trained world leaders and presidents of superpower nations,” she reflected. “But I, Mary-Jean, born in Botswana, have had this opportunity.”

Showing her appreciation for Prophet TB Joshua, Nleya stated: “As Thurgood Marshall once said, none of us get here simply by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps. Somebody had to bend down and help us pick up our piece. This is very true for me. I did not get here by pulling myself up alone. Somebody in the form of Prophet TB Joshua bent down and helped pick up my boots.”

In appreciation, Nleya dedicated her thesis to the Nigerian cleric. “I literally phoned you crying because I thought I would not be able to finish this research paper successfully; but you calmed me down, uplifted me and told me it was possible. Thank you for leading me by example and setting high standards for me to reach. Thank you for your prayers and the endless lessons you teach,” she wrote in her dedication.

Nleya is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Global Communiqué, a digital current affairs magazine which “provides compelling content in the form of interviews with those at the grassroots level and prominent figures”. She is additionally a correspondent for One Young World and Your Commonwealth, global initiatives that have enabled her to travel to events such as G20 summits and interview world figures. Nleya has additionally written articles published in international media such as Al Jazeera and CNBC Africa, which have earned her numerous accolades.

CrimeRe: “I Was SOLD For $150 By A 14 Year Old Boy!!!” by Makweembo(op): 10:18am On Mar 30, 2018
African governments need to look into this smugglers route between Kano, Nigeria and Agadez, Niger then onto Sabba, Libya.

We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to these atrocities!
Crime“I Was SOLD For $150 By A 14 Year Old Boy!!!” by Makweembo(op): 10:32pm On Mar 29, 2018
The following is a real-life account by Michael Oyakhira, one of the 100 deportees who came to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Thursday 29th March 2018 and received N3.3m alongside a bag of rice each from Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners…

“I want the whole world to know what’s happening in Libya,” Michael Oyakhira passionately pleaded, a ghostly glint in his eye. “Let them know the truth!!!” At 21 years of age, Michael’s eyes have seen what no man ought. An unrecorded massacre. Brazen slaughter reported by no media. A heinous crime against humanity. “More than 150 people died that day,” he wincingly reminisced. “I saw their blood flowing...”

The young chef travelled illegally to Libya from Nigeria, witnessing untold horrors on the way. But nothing could prepare him for what transpired in the remote prison camp he finally found himself in. Michael had seen the ominous signs. The prisoners were too many and the staff too few. “Two days earlier, I actually dug a hole in the ground because I felt something terrible was about to happen” he explained. His ingenuity proved life-saving. “I heard an explosion like a bomb going off, then the sound of rapid gunfire.”

Michael and a fellow prisoner both squeezed into the tiny hole. Scrambling to cover themselves with earth and debris, carnage reigned above. “I buried myself alive to survive,” the young Nigerian solemnly stated. Silence signalled the bloodbath was over. As the duo resurfaced, the foul stench of death rant the air. “The blood was gushing like a river,” he candidly revealed. “They shot everyone who moved.” Michael has no means of measuring how many innocent people were slaughtered that day. “I now know why most people who make it to Libya don’t make it back.”

Heartbroken at how cheap life was treated, Michael was determined to get out alive and tell his story. He managed to escape from captivity. Whilst on the Libyan streets, a young boy saw him almost collapse. “He must have been 13 or 14 years old,” he explained. “The boy said he would help me, gave me water to drink and said he’d take me to a safe place.” Beguiled, Michael followed. An hour later, the innocent-looking teenager had sold him into slavery. “He sold me for just 200 Dinar ($150),” Michael fumed. Beaten mercilessly by his new ‘owner’, the young chef was forced to call his parents in Nigeria and plead for them to release money. The tactics of torture became increasingly heartless as time progressed without remuneration. “They would hang me upside down with my feet tied to a pole and then strike me with electric wires,” he said. Altogether, he spent over N1.2m ($3,400) during his nine months of hell in Libya.

After an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Mediterranean Ocean, Michael lay languishing in another Libyan prison when the IOM came to facilitate his repatriation to Nigeria. He immediately decided to visit The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, knowing the international reach of Emmanuel TV. “Please tell my story! Warn young people not to take such a route! Let the world know the horrors happening in Libya!”

Travel"We Buried A Baby Alive In The Sahara Desert..." – Libya Deportee! by Makweembo(op): 5:43pm On Mar 23, 2018
No one should have to see what Onyema Igwe saw. A scene forever emblazoned in his conscience. The height of human cruelty unfolding before his naked eyes. An unwilling accomplice to a heinous crime…

Almost 30 of them had embarked on the treacherous trail. The journey began in Kano State, Nigeria where the group were roughly transported at night to Agadez, Niger – regrettably renowned as the smuggling capital of Africa. Onyema, a spare-parts dealer from Imo State, spent his life-savings to fund a journey “to a better life” abroad. That fantasy was soon to be dealt a heavy blow.

Bundled “like sardines” into the back of a pick-up truck, Onyema held tightly onto a wooden pole fixed to the truck – the only item that stood between him and falling to certain death in the infamous Sahara Desert. “If you fall, no one will come back for you,” the smuggler bluntly explained. Corpses littered the ground as the vehicle sped into the horizon, a somber sign of untold dangers lying ahead.

The driver suddenly ground to a halt at the outline of a stationary vehicle. Squinting through the sandy haze, the sight that met Onyema was brutally heartbreaking. 30 bodies strewn in the back of the vehicle. Men. Women. Children. Gone. “The vehicle had a fault,” the driver muttered. “Once you run out of water, you can’t survive more than three days out here.” A foul stench pervaded the atmosphere. The odour of death and decay.

Hastening their speed, the journey continued. Until tragedy struck in the most wretched of manners. Onyema knew one of the female travelers was pregnant – it was obvious to see – but no one knew the combination of heat and exhaustion would trigger premature labour. In the midst of the Sahara Desert, hurtling at breakneck speeds across dunes in an overcrowded vehicle, her screams pierced the night. She delivered a baby that day… but lost her own life. The stress and trauma were too much for her frail body to bear.

Their ‘guide’ was furious. “How could they allow such a lady on this trip,” he fumed as another ‘passenger’ cradled the newly born in her arms. The gift of life mired by the snare of death. The trafficker rudely ordered the men out of the vehicle. “Dig a grave in the sand,” he bellowed. Onyema joined the others. Rudely kicking the corpse of the deceased into the crudely created hole, no one could be prepared for the instruction that followed. “Throw the baby in as well!” Shock-tingled silence. No muscle moved. No eyelid bat. “I said, throw it!”

“The cries of that baby still wake me up at night,” Onyema soberly recounted. “I was among those forced to use sand to cover the baby and her mother in that shallow grave.” He finally reached Libya but never made it across the Mediterranean Ocean to Italy. “I was sold into slavery in Libya,” he narrated. Forced to do work “meant for machines”. Beaten. Tortured. Starved. Is this what he sold his life-savings for?

Languishing in a Libyan prison, Onyema was finally among those discovered by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and deported back to Nigeria. His first point of call was The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), alongside over 40 Nigerians repatriated from Libyan cells. On Friday 23rd March 2018, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave the group the sum of N2.5m ($7,000) to start their lives afresh back home.
