PoliticsI Told Jonathan His Regime Had Come To An End – TB Joshua by Makweembo(op): 7:23pm On Apr 05, 2015
On Sunday 5th April 2015, Pastor T.B. Joshua sensationally revealed how he sent a message to outgoing Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan several weeks before the historic presidential elections that pushed him out of power.

“I want to use this moment to congratulate Nigerians in our midst here,” Joshua began in a message to his multi-national congregation, televised live via Christian network Emmanuel TV.

Alluding to his prediction a week to the election that the dark cloud he saw covering Nigeria was lifting, he emphasised that a bloody ‘war’ would have ensued if not for the prompt concession of power by President Jonathan.

“Look, Nigeria wanted change – everyone was yearning for change. An attempt to stop change leads to war, to a bloodbath… If Nigeria knows what we have overcome, we would dance.”

Joshua praised Jonathan’s tenure in office, insisting that he had served his nation well despite the immense security challenges.

“I really want to salute President Jonathan. The President has served; he has done his best. It was just the season of crisis – and unfortunately he found himself at the lead in the season of crisis.”

The cleric, who is well-known for his alleged prophetic abilities, then revealed that ‘God’ spoke to him with a message for Jonathan several weeks before the general elections.

“This message should be delivered to your president, that whatever the outcome of this election, his regime has come to an end. He should accept to save the lives of millions,” he told the congregation.

Joshua claimed he called Jonathan by phone, adding that he had previously shared with him many revelations about Nigeria which eventually came to pass. “He knows Prophet T.B Joshua by the grace of God in him; he has my track record with him.”

Insisting the seriousness of the revelation was such that it had to be relayed personally, Jonathan promptly sent a close aide to meet the cleric. “It’s not a message I could say in the church because it would affect your vote,” Joshua added.

After the presidential aide had worshipped at The SCOAN during a Sunday service, Joshua said he met him and relayed the revelation that Jonathan’s regime had come to an end. “Soft landing – that is the language I sent to the president,” he told attendees.

Joshua described Jonathan as a man who ‘has a heart for God’, revealing that he even spoke with the Nigerian president shortly before his historic concession call to General Buhari.

“I said to him, ‘Your Excellency – all you need to say is thank You, Jesus, even when it seems there is nothing to be thankful for. He said, ‘Thank you, man of God’. Before I knew it, I saw the news on CNN that he had congratulated his opponent.”

Joshua described Jonathan’s exit as ‘wonderful’, cementing his legacy as a democratic champion. “A man after God’s heart is a man with a wonderful exit. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher,” he told congregants.

He prayed that people from the ‘South-South’ region in Nigeria where President Jonathan hails from would understand that ‘their son has become a hero’, adding that his actions prove the region is after a united Nigeria.

Taking a walk down memory lane, Joshua reminded congregants that he had given a similar message in 2010 to Laurent Gbagbo, the former President of Ivory Coast.

“In a vision, I saw crisis – thousands of people being killed in Ivory Coast – just because of the outcome of the election,” he explained to congregants.

After sending the message across to the then Ivorian leader, a delegation of government figures and presidential aides was dispatched to Nigeria.

“I told them that whatever the outcome of the election – whether the popular or unpopular voice of people – our President should concede. His regime has come to an end,” Joshua reminisced.

According to the cleric, Gbagbo had personally called him regarding the prediction, looking for an avenue to avert it and inviting him to Ivory Coast. Joshua insisted that nothing more could be done.

When Gbagbo refused to concede power to Alassane Ouattara in the controversial 2010 elections, a bloody onslaught ensued leading to the deaths of thousands and his eventual incarceration and public disgrace.

Joshua also reminded the faithful how he had personally warned Chief MKO Abiola that God was not backing his presidency in the ill-fated Nigerian elections of 1993 despite overwhelming public support in his favour.

He further recalled how, as a young man, he met the former Governor of Lagos State Lateef Jakande and told him that his beloved daughter was close to the grave. Both revelations came to pass.

The cleric added that his prophetic ministry is the reason he does not take sides in politics. “That is why I don’t belong to any party. All the parties are my own. I love everyone. If I belong to this party and the message of God is now against that party, how will I present it – when no one knows the mind of God? It is better I am free to deliver God’s message.”

He emphasised that material gain was not his mission, explaining that no exchange of money can be involved when it comes to spiritual matters such as prophecy.

“I am a material to be used that will not cost you any money. I am afraid to collect money from you because if I collect it, it will affect the gift and grace of God in my life.”

Joshua concluded by praying for the new government to be led by the All Progressives Congress. “Join me to pray for the new government, headed by President-Elect Buhari. Ask God to give our President a hearing heart – a heart that will listen to what the public is saying and want to know God’s opinion.”

The cleric insisted Jonathan had not sent him with the message he conveyed, adding that he had never visited Aso Rock excepting the time he was invited by Former President Sani Abacha after being wrongfully imprisoned for 10 days on the charge of drug dealing.

Christianity EtcVIDEO: Did TB Joshua Predict Buhari's Victory 5 Years Ago??? by Makweembo(op): 5:16pm On Apr 02, 2015
Over five years ago in 2010, Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed that a new political party would rise to challenge the ruling party within Nigeria. After the formation of the APC, a merger of several political parties within Nigeria, he further prophesied in January 2013 that this new party would bring the existing government ‘to its knees’, adding that disunity would be the major bane of the ruling party, the PDP.

After the March 28th presidential elections, General Muhammadu Buhari representing APC won a historic victory against incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the ruling party PDP.

I hope people remember Prophet T.B. Joshua told the nation of Nigeria to fast and pray Wednesday and Thursday this week and next week over some 'heated up' politics.

This guy's warning should not just be pushed aside. We know what the Niger Delta militants have done in the past...

Let's pray for God's intervention and the stability of the peace we have enjoyed post-election.

LOVE THIS QUOTE: "God does not allow a man of God like me who is a man of people to belong to any party. He should belong to all parties - equal love, equal favour, equal rights. If not, the LORD cannot continue to support such a man.” - TB Joshua

Wish other pastors would learn from his neutral stance.

As an avid viewer of Emmanuel TV, I certainly remember Prophet T.B. Joshua talking about this several years ago.

What’s amazing is that at the period he prophesied the arising of APC, there were no plans for such merger.
PoliticsPost-Election: "I See Death Of 'Great' Politician In Nigeria" - TB Joshua by Makweembo(op): 10:06pm On Mar 29, 2015
Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has warned of the death of a prominent politician due to ‘heated up’ politics in the wake of the closely fought Nigerian elections.

“I am seeing Nigerians heating up politics,” the cleric told his congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday 29th March 2015.

“Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week and next week, make sure you fast and pray,” Joshua stated just before the close of his church service at 7pm in a message broadcast live via Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

“They will heat up politics and a great man among the politicians will likely lose his life… I am seeing this kind of thing happening in the night,” he stated, calling on congregants to take heed of his message and maintain ‘an attitude of prayer’ on the days specified in order to ‘save souls’.

Earlier in the service, Joshua reminded congregants of a prophetic message he had shared last year concerning a ‘dark cloud’ hovering over Nigeria. “Well, we can see God’s hand; God is beginning to remove the cloud,” he declared to the delight of attendees.

Explaining what the ‘cloud’ represented, Joshua stated that it meant a situation whereby two political parties would declare themselves as election winners, leading to a state of ‘lawlessness’.

“Whoever wins the race, let us put Nigeria first – the nation first,” he stressed. “The dark cloud I saw last year was two declarations - but I can see the finger of God. Thank you for your prayers.”

The controversial cleric also implored Nigerians to shun violence and consider the nation and its future first. “There is a difference between your faith and politics,” he told his audience and television viewers.

“Don’t play politics as if it is your faith. ‘Do or die’ is not politics. Politics is a game. When you lose, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’; when you win, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’.”

He specifically called on Nigerians, especially the youth, to resist the temptation to be ‘used’ by the political class to incite violence or cause bloodshed. “Take care of yourself and don’t allow yourself to be used,” he warned.

“Your future and the future of this nation – Jesus will ask you to give account. What we are doing now is for generations yet unborn. Don’t trade this future for money, thuggery or corruption.”

Joshua also predicted the capture of an international terrorist. “A criminal they have been looking for, for many years, who has been terrorising the world - I am seeing him being caught and displayed to the world on international media,” he announced.

PoliticsTB Joshua Speaks On Elections, Predicts Plane Crash by Makweembo(op): 9:43pm On Mar 15, 2015
On Sunday 15th March 2015, Nigerian cleric T.B. Joshua gave a warning to Nigerians over the upcoming elections, further adding that he foresaw an imminent plane crash within Nigeria.

“Pray for Nigeria because I am seeing a plane crash,” Joshua stated in a service televised live via Christian channel Emmanuel TV. “It’s not a good thing to lose personalities again,” he added, specifying that prayer and fasting should be especially offered from 19th to 23rd.

Addressing the contentious elections scheduled to hold on March 28th, the cleric stated, “The challenge Nigeria is facing – on the day of voting, when you drop your votes in the ballot box, you will know who is PDP and who is APC. It’s a parable; very delicate. Because everybody plays a game; we deceive ourselves. ‘So this man voted for this party but he’s in that party.’ ”

Joshua stated that a dark cloud was hanging over the nation. “The cloud is darker. When it is about to rain, you cannot see in front again,” he vividly described.

The cleric further emphasised that vengeance was nigh for the perpetrators of the building collapse that left 116 dead last year September, insisting it was an attack. “There must be vengeance concerning what happened here. Both the slaves and masters must pay the price.”

He stated he was unhappy due to the innocent blood spilled in his church premises and the refusal of those responsible to admit. “God gave me an order that I should continue this work – so I must do it. Nothing can separate me from the work of God but your prophet is not happy. I will be happy when vengeance comes,” he stated, with a markedly stern countenance.

The cleric further prophesied concerning the nation of Russia, referring to the recent assassination of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov. “I am still seeing the same thing happening – killing of a hero, even bigger than the one that was killed. I am talking in parables. Who could be bigger than the man that was shot in Russia? You should pray for the authority there; pray for the President of Russia.”

Joshua also stated that he had collected his own Permanent Voters Card (PVC) as a responsible Nigerian citizen, although admitting his approach oftentimes did not reflect his citizenship. “I am living as if I am a stranger in my own country,” he told congregants.

‘I held meetings with snakes': Shocking Confessions Of Former Super Eagles Idah Peterside

A startling interview conducted several years ago with former Super Eagles goalkeeper and SuperSport football analyst turned Pastor, Idah Peterside, has surfaced online.

Among other things, the ex-soccer star reveals his haunting journey into occultism, how his first marriage crashed and his relationship with controversial pastor T.B. Joshua.

“It was so bad for me that I even went into demonic worship; I was involved in occultism and people didn’t know,” Peterside told Nigerian Vanguard Newspapers in an exclusive interview in May 2009.

“I did all that because I wanted money and fame which were not coming. My case was so bad that I used to have meetings with snakes. Mine was top class; it was crazy.”

Explaining how he delved into the dark world of occultism, the popular football analyst revealed, “While we were preparing for Rivers ’88 in Port Harcourt, we were camped in a school called Enitonia High School and the school didn’t have a good toilet. On a particular day while I was going to the toilet near a building, I heard a voice say, ‘We want to bless you if you work for us’. Then I said, ‘Who are you?’ And the voice said, ‘Turn to your left’. When I turned, I saw a very big and lengthy snake, as big as a python, and it was as if the snake was looking at me. Then I started shivering like I had seen a ghost. You may not believe it but from that moment, I saw those snakes every night when I went to sleep.”

According to Peterside, who now pastors a church called ‘Christ Ambassadors Church’ in South Africa, his major activity was to ‘initiate’ women by sleeping with them. “What actually took me to the next level in occultism was dependent on the number of women I slept with because my covenant was to initiate women. I didn’t sleep with them for love or any relationship; my mission was just to initiate them and move on,” he explained.

“Automatically, every women I slept with was initiated – no argument. I was basically looking out for and sleeping with virgins because it was a blood covenant. You know, blood is spilled when you dis-virgin a girl. It was crazy.”

In reward for his devilish actions, Idah stated that he lacked nothing materially and even possessed strange powers within his eyes. “I got used to the snakes and when I had any problem, I’ll just tell them what I needed,” he told Vanguard.

“Before I knew it, money would come from nowhere – money worth as much as N5000 which was big then. Those days, when I signed for Sharks Football Club, my sign off fee was N1000 – just to tell you the worth of N5000 then. Things were happening for me and there was nothing I asked any person for that I didn’t get. All I needed do was turn around and look into your eyes – anything I said was done, whether man or woman.”

In 1996 however, the young man tearfully turned to God in prayer, realising he was treading a path toward destruction. “I was calling on God to forgive me, to save me. While I was praying, sitting and crying, suddenly I got filled with the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues,” he recalled.

“The next morning, as I went to the toilet, I saw those demonic people appear to me and say, ‘We’ll kill you’ – and I ran out naked from the toilet. I got so involved in church activities that in three months, I was teaching the Bible at home. In six months, I took off from Iwuanyanwu Nationale and went to Bible school. Since then, I’ve remained in the church.”

When asked his greatest regret, the footballer who plied his trade in Nigeria, Israel and South Africa revealed it was the collapse of his first marriage. “The greatest mistake I made in my life was to marry a foreigner. I was married to the South African lady for eight and a half years and it just didn’t work. The lady was beautiful but the culture and beliefs weren’t the same at all. Today, I look around and advise young ones who would listen to marry from their fatherland.

Idah revealed that his wife was lured away by a South African musician, almost causing the collapse of his young church. “While we were married, she was also the worship leader in my church and we invited one musician from Cape Town to join in our worship section,” he reminisced. “I didn’t know he was also worshiping my wife away. One day, she called the lawyer and everything I worked for was gone. It was the most difficult period of my life.”

According to him, the persecution he endured at this period was pivotal to his ministry growth later on. “Any pastor that has not passed through persecution has not crossed to the next level. I would sit in my room to cry and the devil would be telling me that I don’t deserve to be a pastor when I can’t even keep a wife.”

“It’s a pity that some people do not realise that pastors go through pain like every other person. People were saying all sorts of things because they didn’t know my story and what I was passing through. People kill others sometimes with words and not knives or guns. Before the breakup of our marriage, our ministry had about 250 members and after that, the number came down to about 90 members. It was shocking but the Bible says that all things work together for good to them that do the will of God.”

Since, Idah has remarried and his church has grown steadily, even starting a television station called ‘Ambassadors TV’ which broadcasts its church services in South Africa.

When asked about his alleged relationship with Prophet T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), the one-time Super Eagles media officer under Shaibu Amodu, was unequivocal. “T.B. Joshua is my friend and I don’t care what people think about it,” he said, adding that his years in darkness increased his discernment to know genuine or fake pastors.

“There was an issue I had with a sick woman in my church and while I was praying for her in my closet God spoke to me and said, ‘Go to T.B. Joshua.’ Remember that I’ve served the devil, so I know when I see one. I said, ‘Ah! God, go to that man who I’ve heard terrible things about’ and he said, ‘Yes’.

Upon meeting Joshua, Peterside concluded that most negative perceptions about him were based on ‘hearsay’. “If you ask 90% of people who criticise him, they’ll tell you that they have heard so and so speculations and that is the problem. I want to say that it is a shame to the pastors and bishops who criticize him to allow him continue operating if he’s of the devil. I mean, if he’s operating under the influence of the devil, they should go and deliver him. If Joshua is of the devil then it means the devil has raised a standard and has told the church that satan even does more.”

Describing Joshua as ‘one of the greatest living prophets’, he continued, “It is impossible for any demon to deliver another demon. I know because I have served the devil. If TB Joshua were of the devil, he would not be delivering people. I want to warn all those people gossiping about him – have you met him? What was your encounter with him and so on? People should not forget that the greatest weapon of the devil is rumor and scandal.”

Explaining what convinced him of Joshua’s authenticity despite the myriad of controversies surrounding him, Peterside revealed an interesting encounter. “There was a pastor friend of mine that wanted to meet Joshua in South Africa and I took him to Joshua. While we sat down in his house, T.B. Joshua walked in and pointed at the man, saying, ‘You call yourself a man of God and you are misbehaving with a woman who’s not your wife – is that how a pastor should behave?’ T.B. Joshua refused to pray for the man. He told the man that those of who call ourselves men of God should live holy before God. Now tell me – will a sinner convict a sinner like this? And the man confessed and asked God to forgive him.”

PoliticsNo Failure On Synagogue Building Foundation – Lagos State Engineer by Makweembo(op): 5:31pm On Mar 12, 2015
No Physical Failure On SCOAN Foundation – Engineer Tunde Lasoju

A Deputy Director in the Lagos State Ministry of Works, Engineer Tunde Lasoju has told the coroner that he saw no physical sign of foundation failure at the site of the collapsed building belonging to The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) when he visited to carry out preliminary investigation into the possible cause of the collapse.

wpid-scoan2-300x165.jpgEngineer Lasoju’s submission contradicted the position of Dr. Olusegun Oyenuga, a member of COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) and NBRRI (Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute) investigation committee who earlier told Chief Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe that the report of their investigation showed that the building might have collapsed due to structural defects in the foundation and pillars.

Undergoing cross-examination by counsel to the Lagos State Government, Engineer Oyenuga disclosed that the report of the committee’s findings was based on measurement taken by other members of the committee rather than on the necessary drawings and documents in the possession of the church’s engineers.

He also agreed that he was never at the site of the collapsed building to ascertain things for himself: “I was away in Abuja when the COREN/NBRRI investigation committee visited the site of the collapsed building. I did not participate in the visit but I stand here to present the report because I am a member of the committee”.

It would be recalled that a consultant to the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory, Engineer Ayorinde Saheed Oluwaranti had told the coroner that the building most likely collapsed due to structural defects from the foundation. According to the Engineer who said his conclusion was based on speculative assumption, he also made some mistakes in calculations that produced his report.

The spate of contradictions within the controversial inquest has led several groups, including the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, to hold solidarity rallies calling on the Federal Government to look into the irregularities threatening the conduct and result of the inquest.

Meanwhile, security personnel attached to the coroner’s court had a difficult time controlling crowd at the court as the courtroom was filled to capacity with many persons hanging around outside. An overwhelming level of support has continued to pour in for Prophet T.B. Joshua as the crème de la crème of the Nigerian entertainment industry besieged both the court and the church premises to register their solidarity with the a man described as a harbinger of hope to the downtrodden in society.

Popular musicians, actors and actresses that were present included the Rainmaker, Majek Fashek, Pastor Wadada, W4, Baba Suwe, Lere Paimo, Femi Branch, She Baby, Bimbo Thomas, Murphy Afolabi and Ireti Osayemi.

Chief Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe adjourned proceeding to Friday, March 13, 2015.

On Sunday 8th March, 2015, Emmanuel TV turned nine years old. Read this touching tribute to Emmanuel TV by this American man which was posted on T.B. Joshua's Facebook Page:

Scott W Bentley
“I’m from the USA and I have watched Emmanuel TV for over five years; my only regret is that I didn’t know about it at its first inception. At last, I have a ministry that I can point to as a true representative of the biblical account in the Scriptures. Sceptics and scoffers and those of different religions may watch and make their own decision, and no doubt they will take a second look if they look objectively without a jaundiced eye.

“Here is a ministry you can only follow but you cannot imitate. How do you imitate the Holy Spirit? You may follow along and receive your own portion and succeed with that but the name of the ministry stands by itself. Those who are superficial in their devotion usually are strangely silent when it comes to something of this strength. Our devotion is tested when confronted with a ministry that proves the reality of Christ’s Resurrection. Thank you Prophet TB Joshua for your devotion to our Saviour and not wavering no matter what they say. Soldier on!”

Wow! Anyway, a slightly belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to T.B. Joshua's Emmanuel TV!

Christianity EtcTOUCHING: How T.B. Joshua Inspired Son Of Nigerian Billionaire by Makweembo(op): 1:29pm On Mar 06, 2015
Son of Nigerian billionaire donates kidney to dying Israeli girl he had never met

Israeli media is awash with the touching tale of how the son of a Nigerian billionaire braved all odds against him to donate his kidney to a dying lady he had never met.

The Jerusalem Post in an article titled, ‘The Human Spirit: Love, Give, Live’, reported that the story of Smith Jadesimi, son of oil magnate Ladi Jadesimi, resonated in hearts across the country as an untainted demonstration of compassion beyond religion and race.

Born in 1987 into the large and prosperous Jadesimi family, Smith learned the value of supporting charitable causes from a young age under the tutelage of his strict Anglican parents.

“Our parents read the Bible with us every morning,” Smith told Barbara Sofer of The Jerusalem Post, Israel’s foremost English newspaper. “They stressed the value of love. You can believe in something, obey the commandments, keep the Sabbath holy, but love is the greatest motivator.”

The graduate from the University of Pretoria in South Africa regularly gave generously to humanitarian missions, not only in Nigeria but also in countries such as the Philippines, Haiti and Syria, setting aside 70% of his income for charity.

His unusual journey to be a kidney donor in Israel began when he ‘googled’ the words ‘people who need help’ and discovered the website of ‘Matnat Chaim’ which literally means ‘the gift of life’. Reading about the NGO’s unique kidney donation program in Israel, a chord within Smith’s heart was struck.

“I figured that God isn’t a fool to give us two kidneys if we only need one, so we’re supposed to give one away to the needy,” he said.

Smith’s initial email to the Israeli organisation was met with scepticism, Rabbi Yeshayahu Heber admitting he felt it was nothing more than a ploy from the Nigerian to gain entrance into Israel. However, his unyielding persistence eventually swayed their views and they invited Smith for a meeting.

The Israeli embassy in Abuja, however, shared similar cynical sentiments and refused his visa for nearly a year, only finally giving the go-ahead after several high-profile meetings.

After undergoing some gruelling medical examinations in Israel, for which he gave up his tickets at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil to attend, Smith was told to await confirmation. Although he received no news for nearly six more months, his faith remained resolute.

Two long years after beginning his quest to give away a kidney to an Israeli, Jadesimi was finally accepted. His only stipulation about the recipient was that he or she be a young person around his age.

Smith explained that his Christian faith was an instrumental factor in his decision. As a member of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria, he stated that Prophet T.B. Joshua, well known for his extensive charitable missions, was also his inspiration.

“Love isn’t just in your heart; you have to do something to show you love others,“ Smith explained, adding this was a practical lesson he learned during his time at The SCOAN.

“And not just someone you know, not for selfish reasons - someone beyond your circle. If you have $10 billion and a kidney problem, all of your money can’t solve the problem – only a donor can.”

Omaima Halabi, a 21 year old law student from the Druse town of Daliat al-Carmel was the lucky lady. She had been suffering from kidney failure for over 18 months and depended on dialysis for survival.

The surgery was arranged for December 18 2014 at Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center. “I wasn’t afraid; it was a mission with God on my side. I had peace of heart,” Smith recalled before entering the theatre.

The operation was a resounding success, Halabi given a new lease of life through the generosity of a young man from a different continent, culture and colour.

“I’m so grateful – to my donor Smith Jadesimi, to my family and to Rabbi Heber,” said Omaima Halabi at the feast held in celebration of her recovery. “This was certainly arranged in Heaven.”

Smith’s father Ladi Jadesimi is the Executive Chairman of Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL) and listed among the ‘10 Nigerian billionaires you’ve probably never heard of.’ His sister Dr Amy Jadesimi is the managing director of LADOL and was listed by Forbes as one of Africa’s ’20 Young Power Women’.

Christianity EtcPastor Idah Peterside Spoke Against T.B. Joshua??? by Makweembo(op): 4:33pm On Feb 28, 2015
A couple of days ago whilst skimming through Christian channels, I began watching 'Ambassador TV' belonging to Nigerian ex-footballer cum Pastor Idah Peterside, based in South Africa. He was telling his congregation that he was not connected to T.B. Joshua and that 'he was born again even before T.B. Joshua became a Christian...'

It surprised me because I remember seeing him on the prayer line on Emmanuel TV a couple of years ago and there was even a time he granted an interview to the Vanguard where he said TBJ was one of the greatest living prophetshuh

All I can say is that the man spoke in a very proud manner - perhaps arrogance has clouded his vision...

It's interesting to have a look at the list of religious and spiritual leaders that made the list! Only five of them are still alive - Pope Francis, the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Rick Warren, Rowan Douglas Williams and T.B. Joshua! The rest are all honoured posthumously.

There are some surprising omissions - but I guess we are talking about 'global' impact here, not just 'regional' or 'national'. Nice to see that TBJ is being acknowledged again. Albeit unconventional, he really is a great asset to Nigeria.

Christianity EtcTB Joshua Named The 'yoruba Man Of The Decade' by Makweembo(op): 10:24pm On Feb 20, 2015
The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua, has been recently named the ‘Yoruba man of the decade’.

According to Nigerian Tribune, TB Joshua, who is also popular to the fame of his Christian television station Emmanuel TV, received the commendation from IrohinOdua, the first pan-Yoruba news outlet.

Nigerian Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, was listed as the Yoruba Man of the Year 2014. IrohinOdua describes Professor as a “stainless steel and the most righteous of the living Yoruba faithful.”

Additionally, the prominent Nigerian statesman and social democrat, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was posthumously awarded ‘Yoruba man of the century’.

The statement was signed by the Editorial Board Chairman of IrohinOdua, Prince Babatunde Adeleke. According to him, the three personalities were chosen after discussions and a careful consideration of the role each had played in the modern Yoruba history.

Praising Pastor TB Joshua, Prince Adeleke said: “He began his ministerial career at a swampy location in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos. Today, this ancestral origin of the Synagogue has transformed from a dingy wasteland into a local Disneyland drawing, in one year, millions of visitors to Nigeria from Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America.”

According to the Chairman, through tonnes of email correspondents sent to IrohinOdua, Pastor Joshua received commendations for his prominent services to mankind.

“We see in his handiwork, a quiet revolution to transform the world in ways unimaginable. Since we blew the whistle for nomination, we have received incalculable, baffling testimonials from royals and ordinary street folks leading us to a hidden light in a dark, malicious world where the poor remain the dreg and the end butt of repression, neglect and perpetual want,” Adekele continued.

It would be noted that recently the Nigerian prophet has had not very good times as Lagos High Court slammed a substantial fine of N25,000 on the Synagogue Church Of All Nations and its founder. The issue was the delay in a further hearing of its suit against the Lagos state coroner.

PoliticsBAKARE BOMBSHELL: How I Was Forced To Sign Resignation Letter As VP Candidate by Makweembo(op): 4:40pm On Feb 05, 2015
A shocking video has emerged of Pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly openly admitting that he refused to sign a resignation letter that would have seen him hand over his vice presidential position had General Buhari been successful in his presidential campaign in 2011.

In an interview with Kadaria Ahmed aired in July 2013, the firebrand pastor cum politician was queried as to whether his refusal to step down contributed to the breakdown of the proposed merger between CPC and ACN prior to the 2011 elections.

“It was not stepping down that was the issue,” Bakare responded. “It was resigning on paper with my signature, to sign as Vice President of Nigeria. I said, ‘No, I can’t do that. I can resign as Tunde Bakare, a candidate, but I cannot resign as Vice President, an office I have not occupied.’ That is illegal.”

“Are you saying they were willing to allow your name to go forward in the polls and then they expected that once you’d won the election, you would resign as Vice President?” queried Ahmed in the pilot edition of her show ‘Straight Talk With Kadaria’ currently airing on Channels Television.

“That is what they were asking for,” Bakare admitted. “But I was not ready to commit perjury, to sign an office I have not occupied.”

Clearly perplexed, Kadaria questioned as to why Bakare still chose to support a party that intentionally instructed him to be involved in perjury, adding that his position as a pastor puts him on an even higher moral pedestal in the eyes of the public.

“My moral code is simple – I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world,” Bakare retorted. “Light does not run away from darkness and salt does not run away from corruption. What you do is contact without contamination.”

The user who uploaded a short snippet of the interview on YouTube today opined that a similar agreement had been forged with current Vice presidential candidate, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) led by Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

“This is the same agreement their stooge, Pastor Yemi Osibanjo, has signed for Tinubu that will ensure APC’s dream for a Muslim/Muslim Ticket if Buhari wins,” the video description controversially reads.

TBJ continues to point the way for other pastors - I just read how he returned N500,000 to an elderly woman who wanted to pay tithe. Instead, he gave her N500,000 because he said pastors should not be collecting tithes from the aged or widows but rather be supporting them.

PoliticsBOTSWANA: Why Send Our Troops To Nigeria To Fight BH When You Have TB Joshua??? by Makweembo(op): 1:28pm On Jan 28, 2015
Members of the Botswana public have sent an unusual message to Nigeria as they seek military support from Africa in the increasingly challenging fight against the Islamist insurgent group Boko Haram.

A report from Yarona FM News, one of Botswana’s leading radio stations, sampled public opinion concerning the appeal by the African Union for its members to send soldiers to Nigeria to assist in the fight against Boko Haram.

According to the report, the majority of people spoken to urged against the Botswana Defence Force troops being sent to provide military aid to Nigeria.

“Some members of the public who say sending soldiers away would expose them to unnecessary dangers argue, among other things, that Nigeria should look to the famous televangelist TB Joshua for divine intervention,” Yarona FM reported.

These sentiments come on the backdrop of reports that the government seem undecided on whether or not it should send Botswana Defence Force troops to Nigeria.

Facebook comments on the report reiterated the public mindset. “When you send soldiers there, they will be fighting the wrong battle,” Thero Matsuakata stated. “These people are led by evil spirits! Prophet T.B. Joshua talked about this long ago.”

However, a minority still insisted Botswana should provide the requested aid. “It would be very selfish of our government if they ignored this plea,” wrote Ken Pul Kol.

“Soldiers are trained for such things as much as a doctor is trained to save a patient's life! What if we are befallen by the same thing tomorrow,” she queried. “Do we really want the world to look sideways and pretend we aren’t dying?”

Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua gained prominence in Botswana following his crusade in 2005 that packed the National Stadium in Gabarone. His television station Emmanuel TV remains one the most closely followed channels in the country.
