Christianity EtcRe: Nigeria-guinea Next Saturday (0-1) Today's Prophesy By T.b. Joshua by Makweembo: 5:23pm On Oct 08, 2011
if you want to see how he said it, it is likely to show on emmanuel tv soon or in the live service tomorrow, watch and see, i'm sure tbj will talk about it as well - all i can remember from watching is that he said:
- guinea will score first in the second half
-whoever scores first, the match will go to them
- the result will not be unfavourable to nigeria
- he hinted that nigeria would not qualify for the world cup
and all that has come to pass
Christianity EtcThe Super Eagles Should Humble Themselves And Go And Meet Tb Joshua For Prayer by Makweembo(op): 4:55pm On Oct 08, 2011
The NFF, SUPER EAGLES, SIASA ET AL, should go and meet . Not only them, the president, the government officials, the ministers, the senators, the people in positions of power should all go and meet TB Joshua. if we nigerians, people of naija cannot embrace the man God has sent to this generation, then we are making a grave mistake. Already other countries are embracing him. The Synagogue Church has the highest number of foreign visitors arriving at The Murtala Mohammed International Aiport (http://nationaldailyngr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6508:religious-tourism-fastest-growing-aspect-of-holiday-industry-&catid=128:main&Itemid=548).President Atta Mills of Ghana declares he is a member of the church and Tsangarai of Zimbabwe has visited for prayers. Why are we Nigerians so proud that we cannot embrace our own?

TBJ is a real prophet, the evidence is overwhelming. He said last Sunday that the result of today's match would be unfavourable to Nigeria and that Guinea would score first in the second half - he said how terrible it would be if the giant of africa failed to qualify for the aAFCON, and this afternoon, we all watched and saw the match and we all know the result and what it means. God keeps on speaking through tbj to show the world that there is a prophet who hears and speaks his word, but people are still so skeptical, cynical and hardhearted. Even now, in the face of so much evidence, they will be cursing, mocking and doubting.

Watch the service tomorrow, i am sure the prophecy will be shown and tbj will talk about it. So if you still have doubts or questions, just watch and see what he says.

May God forgive us!

Christianity EtcA Goal To Tb Joshua? by Makweembo(op): 1:53am On Oct 06, 2011
Ever heard of T.B. Joshua? Ever heard of his “gift of prophecy”? Just browsing on the internet, glancing through various articles one might reach the conclusion that either T.B. Joshua is a real, authentic prophet of our time or he is an imposter, operating on a mammoth scale running a sophisticated coordinated undercover effort to deceive millions.

Hundreds certainly are very eager to voice their opinions about this man and his predictions/ prophecies. According to The SCOAN, T.B. Joshua has predicted numerous events, including: The rescue of Ingrid Betancourt from the jungle, the resignations of President Musharraf and Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the recent fire in a building in Enfield, London, the tragic plane crash of Polish government officials, the parting of Edward Kennedy, the postponement of the recent elections in Nigeria to name a few.

On hearing these prophecies, many people are almost too quick to make a judgement and either rule that it is all fake because TB Joshua is a false prophet or that it is all true because TB Joshua is a man of God. Less often do people take time to really listen to the many prophecies TB Joshua has given and form judgements based objectively on what was said and what actually happened.

This week, there has been some debate regarding what T.B. Joshua apparently said about the African Cup of Nations qualifying match between Nigeria and Guinea this Saturday. It has been reported that TB Joshua has said:
“People might be saying "oh why wouldn’t he just pray and change things to favour Nigeria". I cannot just do it on my own. I’m not a witch doctor, I’m a pastor. If a prophecy is given about a certain people, these people must agree with the man of God in prayer before God can do anything about it or else, it’ll remain as it is. In my vision, I see two teams struggling and struggling for just one goal. Then in the second half. One of the teams scores. That goal will decide the match. Hmmm, well. . . All I can say is that the game does not favour Nigeria. But with God, all things are possible o. First of all, we have to play our own part. Pray as if all depends on God. Play football as if all depends on you. Thank you. . . . . . .”

This is not the first time that TB Joshua has spoken out regarding outcomes of football matches. Let’s just look at a few of such prophecies.

NIGERIA VS TUNISIA (WORLD CUP QUALIFIER, 2009)
“The whole thing was tough. It was tough to decide. Here is balanced, here is balanced. Both sides left the field, they could not take decision who is the most powerful between the two, it got to a stage – go and sit down, go and sit down.”

The game ended 2-2, it was a draw.

NIGERIA VS MOZAMBIQUE (WORLD CUP QUALIFIER, 2009)
“We need a goal to lead the other people. It is not every time they will beat us. A goal. We’ll smile differently today. This man will head a goal for us.”

In added time of the match, Obinna Nsofor of Nigeria scored a goal by a header.

SOUTH AFRICA VS MEXICO (OPENING MATCH, WORLD CUP 2010)
“First match, I am seeing a goal for the nation South Africa. If the host country scores one, they need to defend their home, they know they cannot score more than that, but situation where they want to score more, they will score against them, the other country will have 1 and the host country will have 1. The Lord says there can be no more than 1.”

The match ended 1-1 and South Africa scored first.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPrOsQfgDb8#

SPAIN VS HOLLAND (WORLD CUP FINAL 2010)
“Up Spain. The goalkeeper of Spain will be the Saviour. The Netherlands will give them a tough time. The goalkeeper of Spain will save them today. I see a controversy, but at the end of the day it was what determined the champion, there is a controversy - which a referee gave a yellow card. Netherlands will really press them but Spain will get their way in the end. It is the goalkeeper of Spain that saved them.”

The match ended 1-0 to Spain, and John Heitinga of the Netherlands was sent off for a second yellow card.

NIGERIA U20 VS FRANCE U20 (U20 WORLCUP 2011)
“They have spoilt the ball. I saw a slim guy black in complexion, he has a cut hair, we should quickly score before these people – because what I’m seeing, first come, first serve.”

The game ended 3-2 to France. France scored first and the player that scored was slim, black in complexion and had a cut hair style.

I guess the question to ask is: if it was all fake, then would TB Joshua be so crazy as to risk his reputation as a prophet of God by standing up and proclaiming such things as from God, whereas they are not? If it turned out that he predicted the result of a match and opposite was the case, what would happen to his integrity in the eyes of people? If he truly knew that it was all made up, why stand up and boldly declare that it is from God?

Secondly, how is it that it could be fake (given that what he says does actually come to pass)? One opinion might be that the prophecy was said after the event took place and then published as if it was before the event. But each of these prophecies are given during Sunday services at The SCOAN broadcast live all over the world. Surely, if TB Joshua did not say these prophecies live and before the events concerned took place, by now, there would be a huge outcry from those watching, that he never said this or that. Even if you can say that he can employ actresses and actors in Nigeria to play his game, what about the many thousands that tune in via Emmanuel TV?

The other option might be that he is using powers of divination/ sorcery to predict such outcomes (seeing as they do actually come to pass). If this is the case, is this in line with everything else that happens in the ministry – the sick are healed, the demon-possessed are delivered, the needy receive help, all in the name of Jesus, I thought that salt and fresh water cannot flow from the same spring?

Either TB Joshua is the cleverest, trickiest fraudster, using divination, sorcery, and all the powers of fortune telling to his gain. If this is the case, he has the largest staff of actors and actresses (in Nigeria and even the world), he uses his power to deceive heads of state, government officials and ministers and people from all over the world.

Or TB Joshua is a genuine servant of God who speaks what he hears from God but who is intensely persecuted and vilified.

After taking note of T.B. Joshua’s prophecies, only the foolish would just ignore them or forget about them. If they are true, then it is of great significance to not only the nation Nigeria, but to the entire world. And if it is all false, then this is a huge deception and the right questions need to be asked - merely ranting about it on the internet will not expose what needs to be exposed or establish justice where there is criminality.

Christianity EtcRe: Yesha Leader In Nigeria To Rally Support For Israel by Makweembo: 2:34am On Aug 20, 2011
I do think it was unwise of Adeboye to declare public support for Israel, especially considering the current tense climate. Also I don't think Boko Haram will be too impressed by his comments either.
Christianity EtcThe Many Misfortunes Befalling Redeemed Pastors by Makweembo(op): 11:39pm On Aug 03, 2011
An article from Sahara Reporters, interesting timing considering recent events. Any thoughts?

The Many Misfortunes Befalling Redeemed Pastors

I was saddened to learn of the unfortunate helicopter crash in Osun that claimed the life of Mrs. Josephine Damilola-Kuteyi this weekend. However, my concern about the incident deepened upon learning of her position as a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG).

Although some may view this write-up as insensitive, especially due to its proximity to the passing of the aforementioned, it is by no means intended in such light. I merely find it poignant to point out the fact that another Redeemed Pastor has hit the news under puzzling circumstances.

As a committed Christian, the rate and regularity at which Redeemed Pastors are featured in the news, usually for unfavourable reasons, is most distressing. Isolated incidents do not give credence for any resounding conclusion but the consistency at which such news enters the public domain, whether the issue on ground is money-laundering, immoral behaviour or untimely death, calls for concern.

In the last few years alone, I have read numerous reports of Redeemed Pastors ending their life journeys in strange and often undignified manners. I recall the case of a Pastor murdered by gunshot in America last year, and that of three clerics killed when armed robbers attacked their parish. Indeed, Redeemed Pastor Timothy Akanni also died in a plane crash some years ago after which it was discovered he had secretly been harbouring a second wife and was involved in a N7billion fraud. Some may concede that in such issues fate cannot be changed but I am of the opinion that pastors operating under the power and protection of the Almighty should not leave their earthly assignments in such a crude fashion.

When it comes to acquisition of monetary resources through fraudulent means, the number of cases is too significant to merely write off as the greed and waywardness of some individuals. High profile incidents such as that of Erastus Akingbola, Cecilia Ibru, Bunmi Oni and Chika Mbonu only serve to show how deeply rooted the issue is. Such exposures are merely the tip of an iceberg, a problem prevalent within the very structural fabric of RCCG and they way in which their pastors are ordained into ministry.

In the same vein, the number of those who have been caught in acts of immorality and infidelity is most unsettling. I learn RCCG’s senior pastor in Spain has been dismissed due to unscrupulous behaviour with two of his female members. Such antics and attitude give a bad name not only to the ministry but also to Christianity in general. For instance, it is unusual to hear similar accounts among our Muslim brethren and leaders.

Some time ago, the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye was linked to a scandalous import duty waiver during the regime of Obsanjo said to have cost Nigeria N20 Billion in revenue loss between 2006 and 2007. Such reports, coupled with countless others, cannot be simply overlooked. Even the image depicting our esteemed President Goodluck Jonathan on his knees before Pastor Adeboye poses serious questions. For which reason did GEJ go to receive such? Was it really to receive prayer for Divine protection or due to the popularity of Daddy GO and the political potential thereof?

I am by no means insinuating that every Redeemed Pastor falls into these categories and there are no good works being done by the church. I do believe however that something is seriously wrong with the process in which people join the Redeemed fold as pastors, hence the high level of ungodly incidents being discovered within their ranks.

Although I know this article will surely attract condemnation amidst those strongly-opinionated individuals who will surely spout the ‘touch not my anointed’ argument, I only want to highlight my concerns. It is with a spirit of humility that I write this and pray the issues raised will be treated with according respect and reverent consideration, so that people with atheistic perspectives will not find more reasons to view Christianity and its ministers in a bad light.

Christianity EtcTB Joshua, SCOAN And Another Year - Nigerian Tribune by Makweembo(op): 5:38pm On Jun 28, 2011
TB JOSHUA, SCOAN AND ANOTHER YEAR

It is almost always wrong, even blasphemous to praise any man of God because their acts of miracles, preaching, deliverances and other supernatural performances should be attributed as special gifts from God. Sometimes howevr, their being tools in the hands of the Creator, and the very timelines of their presence in the midst of men can help to bring people closer to God. One cannot but lavish acknowledgement on them if they have not only maintained the glory and super-abundance of God in their actions, but equally humbly insist that their gifts should be seen and eulogised as statements from God.

Prophet T.B. Joshua, Founder and General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) is one finger of God sent into the midst of men to shock the human race, in recent times, with hidden truths and realities which were not discovered before now; he is an instrument faithfully serving the Lord and making His presence directly felt as a solution to all human problems and catastrophes bordering on ill-health, diseases, poverty, helplessness and hopelessness. Through his carefully-worded preaching, soul-lifting deliverance programs and earth-shaking prayer sessions, men and women in their millions have kept being transformed to new babies in Christ, new products, most of whom would have had nothing to do with the Messiah as much as they do now.

Prophet Joshua (48) is a gifted man of the Spirit who will continue to be admired by true Christians all over the world. Even those who seem to dissociate from his own model of spiritual fulfillments will not stop marvelling at his vast field of hearty philantrophy and assistance to thousands of people, students, most of whom are from humble backgrounds and orphans, who keep receiving millions of naira to be educated; the widows, widowers, the poor, diseased, and physically handicapped who are not left out in their teeming population moving in and out of SCOAN to receive all forms of helping hands. Communities, organizations and non-governmental establishments have never stopped moving in droves into the church, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. If there is one point of pilgrimage which attracts the greatest number of visitors to Nigeria in recent times, it is SCOAN. Europeans, Americans, Asians, Africans etc. keep visiting this marvellous architectural masterpiece to receive their healings, deliverances, special prayers and retrieval from the iron grip of satan and his accursed agents.

One cannot but be shocked to find the tireless man of God and the church administrators, including the Wise Men, attending to millions of people from the globe on a daily basis, doing what God has anointed them to do. Here, those blackmailed as witches and wizards, children already condemned by an uncaring society, women full of the vile of pythons and lionesses, and those trapped by spiritual husbands and wives, have truths slapped on their faces, as realities about them are revealed. Earth-shaking confessions by armed robbers, ritualists, hired killers, terrible witchdoctors, and ‘generals’ from the world of darkness are made to shock us all. People become enlightened on the methods and strategies of satanic agents and how to fight such, through prayers and fasting of course.

Diseases and challenges like fibroid, delayed pregnancies, diabetes, cancer, mental imbalance, strokes, leprosy, HIV/ AIDs, epilepsy, , low Fluid count, inability to conceive etc. are all tackled in SCOAN. Family squabbles, hatred, envy, mischief, divorces are all addressed, as God speaks words of reconciliation through T.B. Joshua.

One of the greatest tools from SCOAN today remains the Anointing Water. This water works wonders for people. It conquers enemies, pvoerty, spiritual attacks, and opens doors of blessings. It destroys the enchaining antics of ‘generals’ of evil, and gives assurances to its user. It is a tool of protection and spiritual deliverance; it destroys family (ancestral) curses and renws the human spirit. It is a source of spiritual energy and power, and it less surprising to see the influence of this water in places worldwide such as Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Greece, Indonesia, Korea, USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Russia etc.

The news of the potencies if this water is simply everywhere, as it keeps assisting millions of souls to re-claim their territory in the Lord. One is almost not shocked to discover a lot of fake Joshuas in many places today, dishing out bottles of fake water, starting off fake churches, and even claiming to be representatives of the man of God. Anything which attracts sanity and purity becomes a ready made target for destruction by ‘generals’ on the other dark side. What of fake drugs, fake lawyers, fake journalists, fake generals, fake landlords in our midst?

As Prophet Joshua celebrates another birthday, we not only rejoice with him, but also pray to God to do more for mankind through His anointed servant because the coast is not clear yet in many places. In a world dominated by ritualists, kidnappers, hired killers, agents of ritual killings, rapists, fraudsters, destroyers of people’s joys, men and women can only keep asking for more deliverances, confessions, and retrieval from the iron grips of wickedness in low and high places. Congratulations, indeed, to Prophet Temitope Joshua and whishing him many more years of service to God.

You can read her full testimony/ experience here - http://scoanlondon./2011/06/01/delivered-from-a-king-of-demons/

She said when she went for deliverance before, she started to beat up the pastors there because the demons inside her were so violent! A witchdoctor also told her that there was 'a king of demons' living inside her,

The interesting thing is that in her testimony, she explains that the demons within her knew who T.B. Joshua was, and that he was a genuine man of God who was causing havoc in the kingdom of darkness because of all the people being delivered.

What do you think?

PoliticsRe: 2011 Election:it's Time To Believe Tb Joshua. by Makweembo: 7:11pm On Apr 07, 2011
Here are T.B. Joshua's exact words when he prophesied the election postponement:

On August 1st 2010, T.B. Joshua said, “I’m hearing the word ‘extension’ What is the extension? Extension of what? What are we extending? It has to do with this country. What are you extending again? I’m hearing extension for accountability.”

On October 10th 2010, he explained more, “The election you are talking about, I am seeing it being pushed forward. That pushing forward will not be alone – there will be another re-pushing and pushing. When a man of God is talking, it is because he has seen what is going to happen. What is going to happen – it’s what I have seen that made me to say ‘pushing, pushing’. That is why they said the constitution does not permit it. When they see what is going to happen, they would know the constitution will permit it!

“What I am seeing now – it is only the grace of God that would see us through. With the grace of God, nothing is impossible. The word ‘extension’ is pregnant. It has triplets, three babies inside the womb. And each baby has different messages. Ordinarily, extension is unnecessary, but circumstances will arise…”

Christianity EtcDemons Manifest In T.B. Joshua's Church, London by Makweembo(op): 11:46pm On Apr 04, 2011
Sunday 3rd April 2011 was a remarkable day for those in attendance at a unique church service in the heart of Central London. The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations London Branch witnessed numerous uncanny demonic manifestations amidst the worshippers during an explosive service that lasted over four hours. A packed auditorium coupled with an overflow extension saw those under satanic possession and oppression receive deliverance after the ministration of ‘Anointing Water’ sent from The SCOAN Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, headed by Prophet T.B. Joshua.

The service began with a time of worship, testimony and teaching. Clips of T.B. Joshua explaining about the new Anointing Water were then shown, followed by a small documentary of the extraordinary events that occurred in Accra, Ghana at The SCOAN branch when the Anointing Water was ministered there the previous Sunday. Excitement and expectancy were palpable throughout the crowd. Thereafter, general prayer commenced and the time arose for the Anointing Water to be ministered. The service from that moment on took on another dimension as fire from heaven seemed to descend on the evil spirits within the congregation.

“Why do you people want to kill me,” a demon shrieked from within a woman. “She’s my wife, my lovely wife!” The Anointing Water was ministered as the demon, a spiritual husband, within the woman contorted her body. “I’m going now,” the voice shrieked before she fell crumpled on the floor. Rising up with joy, the woman, originally from Zimbabwe, proceeded to praise God, thanking Him for the deliverance.

“You unclean spirit, I command you to come out,” declared one of The SCOAN evangelists as she ministered the Anointing Water to another woman in the congregation. Folding her hands defiantly, the demon within the woman tried to resist. “I will not leave her,” a hoarse voice from within her spoke out. As the Anointing Water was sprayed, a look of anguish suddenly became apparent on her face and she began to run.

Attempting to leave the church, the demon within her could not stand the fire of God’s power. After a lengthy confrontation, the demon finally bowed and with a shriek left the woman as she fell to the ground. Upon her rising, the woman explained that all she remembered was a voice telling her to run out of the church. She further explained how a strange man had regularly appeared to her in her dreams, and she had experienced setback and disappointment in almost all facets of her life.

As the service progressed, another woman soon fell under the power of God through the Anointing Water Moving her body in a snake-like fashion, she began to crawl on the ground, trying to escape from the ministration of the Anointing Water. After being declared free, the woman explained how she had been seeing snakes tormenting her in the night for many years. “I am now delivered from the spirit of snake,” she happily testified!

The crowd watched on in rapt attention, often bursting into spontaneous applause, as dozens across the auditorium received divine touches after receiving the Anointing Water. Some fell, others shook and still more vomited, but their testimonies thereafter were unanimous – they were healed, delivered and set free in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations is known for its practical brand of Christianity. Characterised by faith healing, powerful deliverances, prophetic messages, family reconciliations and humanitarian activities, the Sunday Services at The SCOAN, Lagos are hugely popular and viewed by millions through live broadcasts on Emmanuel TV. With international branches in London, Athens, Cape Town and Accra, the ministry continues to grow in awareness and repute. Concerning the Anointing Water, T.B. Joshua says, “It is not the water that heals, but God Himself – since the anointing is done in Jesus’ name.”

SportsNigerian Teen Onazi Handed Lazio Debut by Makweembo(op): 11:39pm On Apr 02, 2011
Nigerian teen football prodigies Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi have been in the news ever since their successful run with the Golden Eaglets at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2009 and their subsequent trials with Premiership giants Chelsea and Tottenham.

Speculation was rife as to where the duo would end up, with reported interest from several major European clubs. However, last week the news was officially announced that the pair, both products of Pastor T.B. Joshua’s charitable youth academy ‘My People FC’, had signed professional contracts with SS Lazio in Italy and were already training with the senior team.

Lazio, who are currently 5th in Serie A, are set to play a crunch match against 3rd placed Napoli tomorrow, and Onazi has surprisingly been handed his debut by Coach Edoardo Reja. Reja, who is said to be impressed by the skill and stamina of the young Nigerian attacking midfielder, as well as the way he has quickly adapted to the Italian style of play, will hope Onazi can help his team break the duck of eight winless games in their last nine away fixtures.

For Onazi, who only turned 18 some months ago, it is a truly dream come true. Injury in his first game for Nigeria at the U-17 World Cup marred his chances of international exposure, as his colleague Sani Emmanuel stole the show and grabbed the headlines at the cadet event, coming out as the MVP of the tournament, as well as the joint highest scorer. However this Saturday, all eyes will be on Onazi, who will have the opportunity to show his worth on the world stage against bigger and more experienced opponents.

After a blistering volleyed goal helped Lazio to a 3-0 win against Anderlecht in the Viareggio Tournament a fortnight ago, Onazi has been touted by the Italian press as a star for the future. This Saturday could be his chance to prove it.

The fixture is scheduled to start at 11:30 BST at San Paolo Stadium in Napoli, Italy.

The consistency of what I see on Emmanuel TV is the most authenticating element for me, although I don't claim to understand why certain methods are used and some prophecies are seemingly 'vague'. Nonetheless, what I witness via his live services cannot be the products of human origin.

Check out some testimonies from TBJ's ministry - http://www.tbjoshuatestimonies./

God is using T.B. Joshua. It's unconventional yes, but the results speak louder.

I have never heard Chris and T.B talk about heaven and hell, the blood of Jesus Christ, and being born-again. What they know is healing and miracles. They have deceived many folks with their false miracles and lying wonders. I believe that God performs miracles but satan can also perform counterfeit miracles.
With all due respect, the above statements are simply not true. I can't speak for Pastor Chris as I haven't watched much of LoveWorld, but I regularly watch T.B. Joshua's Emmanuel TV and the focus is always on the salvation of souls, and NOT the miracles/ healing. I have heard him teach regularly on heaven/ hell, the blood of Jesus Christ and being born again. So, I think your maybe getting him mixed up, or perhaps you have never sat down and properly watched Emmanuel TV.

For those who doubt the authenticity of God's work in TBJ's life, just read/ watch some of the testimonies happening in his ministry on a daily basis - http://www.tbjoshuatestimonies./

Just my two cents on the issue.
Christianity EtcPaid By Pastors To Blaspheme Prophet T.b. Joshua! by Makweembo(op): 11:26pm On Sep 06, 2010
All T.B. Joshua's critics, check out this story I saw online,

Life was difficult for James. Growing up in the squalor of a remote village in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, it seemed he was set to follow his peers into a life of poverty and obscurity. But the zeal to make something out of life, to break free from the jinx of failure burned within James from a young age. He found that opportunity as a rebellious teenager when he joined a group of notorious militants with a promise of an exciting lifestyle and good money. But there was a price. “Because of the nature of the job I was doing, I went to so many places for charms for protection with the result that if you cut me, it won’t penetrate. If you shoot me, the bullets won’t enter.” The charms soon started back-firing for although protection was seemingly given, spiritual attacks and terrible nightmares became the norm. Realising he needed deliverance, James set off to look for a church where he could be set free from the satanic chains he had inadvertently locked himself in.

The church he eventually attended however had other motives – ulterior motives. “The pastor prayed for me, and then asked me to wait behind afterwards, that he wanted to see me. After some time, he asked me if I wanted to work with them.” From militancy to the work of God? James was shocked, but decided to accept, believing this could be the key to a new life. “After all, there’s nothing wrong in working in the house of God,” he surmised.

The assignment for James however, was not the one normally associated with a church or God’s work. It was a dark assignment with dangerous intent. “I did not know that he was asking me to blaspheme against the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. I had never met T.B. Joshua in my life. I’d never even seen him. I’d never even heard the name before. So I accepted the offer as they would pay me a huge amount of money to testify against Prophet T.B. Joshua in any of their crusades.” Naïvely, James agreed. Little did he know that such acceptance was to entangle his life further into a mesh of chaos and confusion, misleading and deceiving tens of thousands in the process.

“What I was required to say is: ‘T.B. Joshua is a satanic agent from the kingdom of darkness; we belong to the same kingdom of darkness. I am on level seven and he is on level five. He never mentions the name Jesus Christ in his church, he only mentions Emmanuel!’ I danced to their tune because of the money involved. They took me around many states in Nigeria and beyond to testify against the man of God. Every crusade, a lot of people usually gathered to listen and hear me out.”

Rumours spread like wildfire as the web of deception weaved its wicked way further throughout the country and beyond, painting Prophet T.B. Joshua black in the eyes of people. However, the intent of the perpetrators did not materialise as his ministry waxed stronger despite the hail of persecution and false accusation. In the midst of this, James decided to travel abroad to South Africa in search of greener pastures, the money he received in the course of blasphemy never amounting to or accounting for anything meaningful. “Getting to my new location, I found myself doing rubbish. My life was somehow useless. What I didn’t like, that’s what I saw myself doing. And all this while the pastor never stopped inviting me back to Nigeria for the same purpose of blackmailing Prophet T.B. Joshua each time they staged crusades and I always obliged because of the money involved”.

Life continued in a downward spiral with various attempts at business all ending in failure and frustration. James seemed stuck in a vicious cycle of life, with no apparent end. “I received a lot of attacks and lost almost everything I acquired.” Marital problems loomed and his spiritual life was practically non-existent. “I used to go to church to play music, sing and do everything in the church – but to give my life to Christ was something I never contemplated because of what had happened to me in the past. I only saw church as a game.”

But an incredible discovery was around the corner, set to transform and reform his life and future. “After some time, my wife demanded I install a satellite dish in our apartment to enable her and my son to access Christian channels. I succumbed after a lot of pressure but any time I was in the house, I preferred watching movies instead of Christian channels. One fateful day I tuned to channel 33 where I saw Emmanuel TV and not quite two seconds later, I saw the name, Synagogue Church. I was interested. Not quite five minutes on, I saw the name ‘Prophet TB Joshua’ on the screen and realised immediately that this must be the man I had been blaspheming.”

For the first time in his life, James saw the man he had witnessed publicly against on countless occasions. Remorse began welling within him as he heard the name of Jesus Christ mentioned frequently. Regret pierced his heart as he saw the remarkable healing testimonies, accurate prophetic messages, touching charitable activities and challenging biblical sermons on Emmanuel TV – all in the name of Jesus Christ. He had been deceived to deceive. “I saw and heard him mentioning “In the name of Jesus Christ” times without number. I said, ‘Ah! But the people that asked me to testify against this man said he doesn’t mention the name Jesus Christ but only Emmanuel. No! I can’t remain here. I must come down to Nigeria, confess my sins and free myself so that my family and I can have a bright future.”

His eyes opened to the truth, James sought to right his wrongs and embarked on a journey to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria. Knowing his public blasphemy had influenced many negatively, James believed his public confession could influence many more positively. On December 20th 2009, standing in the arena of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and speaking live on Emmanuel TV, James shared his experience to a rapt audience. Prophet T.B. Joshua publicly forgave him, prayed for him and delivered him in the name of Jesus and 16 years of false testimony and profanity finally came to an end.

Christianity EtcEvery Christian Must Read This Confession! by Makweembo(op): 11:08pm On Aug 04, 2010
I just read this story online - it's a real eye opener,

IT sounds like a fairy-tale. Most would pass it for a creative, fictitious and surreal account of supernatural experiences, not to be taken literally. But this is a true confession. It’s the account of a man who lived for over 20 years in a world of darkness and devilry. A man who knew the tricks and traits of the satanic kingdom like the back of his hand and is now ready to expose their dark secrets after receiving his freedom.

Before you read, brace yourself. The contents are shocking but the lessons fundamental. The spiritual world is real. We are in a real battle between good and evil. And confessing Christianity is not just enough – we must commit our lives to God totally.

In this exclusive interview with Read Us, an ex-wizard exposes his former kingdom.

Background
“My name is Adebisi Jude Solomon. I am from Kogi State of Nigeria and I’m 43. I was born into a family of seven. We are only three left – I don’t know the whereabouts of the other two. My father was a pagan and one of the community leaders. He didn’t believe in going to either church or mosque. He was among those who wanted to live their own life in the sentiment of their own understanding.

“As for me, I didn’t care for any religion. I just lived my life the way I liked it. I had authority of my own self – no one told me I should do this or that. The sentiment from my own childhood was that I believed in self-government, self-principle of living. I just wanted to live my life; nobody should displease me and I won’t displease anybody.

The Initiation
“When I got into the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, I studied Science Laboratory. At that time, I didn’t know about living without a girlfriend. So, I had many affairs with girls. In this process, I came across a lady who initiated me.

“You will not be told you are going to be initiated. You will just have an affair with the person. But she knows you better than yourself – she can tell much about you, your whereabouts, your physical and spiritual backgrounds. They have been monitoring you. In the spiritual kingdom, they monitor people. They see your star, your glory, everything regarding your living. There is no area of your life that is not being studied. It was after my initiation that I got to know I’ve been initiated by having fun with her physically. It’s through a sexual relationship. When you are initiated, they will submit your sperm into the kingdom. That has given them room into your life.

A Bloody Contribution
“I began to see myself in a strange area I did not know. It started from a dream. They will be asking you to bring something – you have to pay an attribute, which is blood. You will see it as if it’s a dream, but it’s a reality. It will only become clear to your own understanding when you have paid with that blood.

“It started with an accident. I found myself involved in an accident inside a car in a dream – but it was a reality. A week later I was in a car and had an accident. Many people died but I had no injury. That is the first level you enter. You begin to observe that now you are no more just a physical being. That is the process by which you find yourself in the spiritual world.

Joining a Cult
“In this process, I joined a cult – the ‘Agu’ cult. The same girl will take you to the cult. You need protection. They will begin to threaten your life, saying that you need to protect yourself by joining this cult – though they will tell you it’s a gang. You have to do an oath. The oath involves physical blood. They are the ones to bring blood, so you take an oath that you will not betray them. Then you drink the blood. That is another empowerment.

“By then you will begin to cause crises in the school. You begin to shed blood by using an axe or gun to kill people, especially confronting members of other cults. Whoever you kill, that blood is contributed spiritually and increases your level. So both the spiritual and the cult are working hand in hand. There is no cult or herbalist that is not working hand-in-hand with the spiritual world. That is where they get their powers. You don’t invoke powers naturally, it’s from the spiritual world and it will now manifest in the physical.

Another World
“I began to observe physically that I can sleep for two or three days. You may come in and ask what happened to this person – but I am not there. I am not lying down there but I’m in the other world. You are lying down physically but you are there spiritually. People will think you are sick or sleeping.

“Everything you see in the physical, there is something happening spiritually. Before it can happen physically, it has happened spiritually. Before anything will happen to you, it will first of all manifest in the spirit world – because that is what controls human beings. That is, your spirit-being controls you. That’s why sometimes when you are thinking about things – you will begin to have three different thoughts. One will be whispering to you gently, one will be giving you a harsh command and the other one will be saying – I don’t know the one to do. The one speaking harshly with authority is not from God, the one whispering to you gently is from God. Your own is the one asking – which do I choose? It’s now left for you to decide.

Biological Blood
“I was asked to bring my sisters, so I thought it was to initiate them. Once you are initiated, you can initiate others – by sleeping with them. The power with me was that of causing accident. I was directed to go there with them. We entered the car together to Ilorin. In the process of coming to Ilorin, we had an accident. The two of them died instantly, and many other people died. I was hospitalised. I was not really injured physically, but they will make you like someone in a coma. They know what they are doing.

Fake Coma and Spiritual Carriers
“People will think you are in coma and they will carry you to the hospital. Most of the people that will carry me to the hospital are not human beings. They will come in the midst of multitudes like human beings, and come and pick me – this is my brother, let’s rush him to the hospital. They walk in the ranks of human beings. They may enter into somebody to go and use the person for that purpose. The person may finish doing what they want him to do and he will begin to ask what have I done? He doesn’t know. Most of the people after the deliverance, they ask – what happened? They don’t know. They will enter into a person, carry me to the hospital and after two or three days, I will be released. In that process, I lost my two sisters. I was promoted.

A Ladder of Blood
“In the period you are lying down in the hospital, you are in the spirit-world. Physically they say you are in a coma but you are in the spiritual world. That is where I saw my two sisters. Anybody you kill, you will submit their blood – you will see him or her physically over there. They are the steps of a ladder. Each person killed through you increases your steps and each step you take is promotion. You will be given more spiritual power, and be exposed to more things of the spirit.

Demonic Anger
“I received two powers – because it was my two sisters. I was given transformation and I was given anger. Then I was very quick to get angry. I will get easily offended because the spirit in me was pushing me to get angry. When you step on me or offend me, you will make me angry – I will definitely do something involving your blood. Like if the person is pregnant, you can take the pregnancy, the baby inside the womb, and give her a stone, or plant a fibroid in her. If people are not spiritually alert, you will cause much damage to her.

Spiritual Sickness
“When you see anybody discovering a fibroid, or having symptoms he is not used to – don’t leave him or abandon her, saying, ‘It’s a common thing’. It’s not. You don’t know the affliction or the kind of person she has encountered that has poisoned her life by anything planted in her body. That thing will begin to eat her gradually. Gradually she is dying.

“Many afflictions you see today are not natural. There is nobody that is born with sickness. Sickness or affliction or diseases today – we call it ‘gift’ in the spiritual world. You go and give this person a gift. That gift will begin to trouble him. I will still advise the people – it’s not everyone that gives you a gift that you should accept. Many of the gifts they give to you physically are spiritually possessed, a point of contact whereby when you take it to your house or put it on your body as clothes or eat it as a food, it will affect you.

Transformation
“I can change from male to female, both physically and spiritually. When they have monitored somebody and want me to get them, they will come to you physically to give you an instruction. You and I could be looking at this wall now, and they are giving me instructions – but you will not see it. That is why some people, you will just be discussing with them but they will not be hearing what you are saying. You will think they are thinking of something, but they are busy listening to their master giving them instruction.

“So they will give you instruction. For example, they know your girlfriend. Every girlfriend you have – they know her. I will transform to your girlfriend’s image and come to you physically. The appearance will be exactly the same. Spiritually, they will make sure the girl can’t turn up. She can’t come that way when you are there sleeping with him. That’s how I can initiate men as well.

Spiritual Initiation
“In the spiritual aspect, you can initiate someone in the dream. You will just observe – there’s somebody sleeping with you, having an affair in the dream. The appearance of the person they will bring will be familiar to you – maybe an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend. You just use their image to go to him, if you observe the physical is tight.

“We also go to the beach or swimming pool – it’s another point of initiation. Before you will be convinced to go there, there is something they have planted in that water. When you are swimming, water penetrates into your system. Your skin is open. So the things that have been planted there will be transferred into your skin and it will affect your blood system. Immediately you come into the water, they are seeing you in the spiritual world. It’s like they are baptising you. The more you initiate people, the more it increases your position.

Tempting Tactics
“To bring down a spiritual person, they will make sure they first weaken him or her. He will just get tired, exhausted and he will not pray before he sleeps. And they will tempt the person to commit sin. They will push the person to drink. Some people will enter into a beer parlour – they only take one bottle of drink but you see them more intoxicated than the rest of the people. That bottle you drink is not one bottle. An agent is there who will take all the drinks others are drinking and put them into that person’s belly. In this state, he commits sin. He has gone against his God. Or they will entice you to blaspheme against God, or have you develop a high sense of pride in yourself.

“They will bring some ladies around you to manipulate you, to seduce you. Where do the girls come from? The kind of lady that comes into your office – who is she? Gradually she just begins to control you. You feel seduced. You go out and ease yourself. Before you come back, what has she done in your office? You will be pushed to lock the office, then you commit fornication or immorality in your office, and you say nobody is seeing you. If you close the whole office, do you close the eyes of God?

The Power Of Monitoring
“Sometime later, I submitted my brother. They asked for him. It was through a road accident too – a motorbike. They commanded another car to hit the two of us. I survived – they found me on the other road inside the gutter with minor injuries. He died. I was promoted again. I was given the power of monitoring, because my brother was the closest person to me. One thing is that your emotions will die. You don’t have any emotions. I didn’t have any emotions for any human being. I didn’t have time for human beings. It was not only my brother who died in that accident, but the thing that will crown you is if it is your own blood. With the power of monitoring, when someone is coming towards you, you will know if this is a human being or a spirit. You will see.

Satanic Symbols
“Every kingdom has its own symbol. Witchdoctors are different from witches. And there are some people who are under witch-possession – witchcraft is tormenting them, but they are not possessed. The one that is a witch – he will have his symbol. It will be like a garment on him or her. If it is a witchdoctor, the symbol will be on his face. For some, you will physically be seeing them walking with their feet – but they are not. They are floating.

“Whatever you see from your kingdom, you would be able to understand. When a person is under witchcraft torment, you as a familiar spirit don’t go there, because somebody is taking care of it. You will target those who are strong Christians.

The Fiery Indicator
“For Christians, there is a flame of fire that surrounds them. Such person, you can’t harm him spiritually. They will just be tempting him. When he falls into that temptation, that is the point of penetration. The fire reduces. Gradually, they will reduce it until it becomes empty and that’s when they now strike.

“Even if you are strong, you will be tempted. But do you give in? How do you yield to that temptation? It is your yielding that matters. Everybody will be tempted. As far as you are in this flesh, you will be tempted. The difference is that God will make a way of escape for you if you are a Christian.

“Every Christian is equal – it’s only we who call them names like ‘pastor’. But the flame of fire on each body is quite different. For some people it’s only on their head, not on their body. Because they are not spiritually alert. You can attack him. They are confessing Christians but not such in heart. They may believe but they are not ready to grow. You can see by the fire the level of the persons’ commitment to Christ.

“They will not send someone who is low in our kingdom to a big flame. There are some sets of people they send – level to level. There are levels in Christianity; there are levels in the spiritual world. Everything you are seeing in Christianity is happening in the spiritual world – in Jesus’ kingdom. But in our spiritual, ocult world, they don’t call the name Jesus Christ. We say, ‘the children of that man’. We are not used to it. It’s not something you call over there.

The Spirit Of Money
“I was in the third level then. The fourth level was my dad. That’s when my dad was involved. Immediately the incident happens, you are picked in a coma, carried to your seat and that’s when they give you the new assignment. But they will give you an interval, a period so that people will not be suspicious. My dad was also involved in an accident. I was to celebrate my birthday and I convinced him to travel with me. We had an accident. I went into a coma, he died. I was then given the spirit of finance – money.

“When your finances are tampered with, your joy will be lost. They want to eat your joy. Even if you are a strong Christian or powerful pastor – when your finances are tampered with, you will be affected. So I had the power to tamper with other people’s finances and cause businesses to collapse. When you see people acquire money, and they are proud – that is also the spirit of money at work.

Tampering With Destiny
“There are some destined children whose joy they want to terminate. Not everyone is destined. Every child has their own destiny, but some people are more powerful than others. Those are our targets. In the power of monitoring, you see such people – the glory in them. The glory is like a star. The brighter the star, the greater the destiny.

“When you have a bulb outside a compound, you will see flies and insects flying from a distance to come to the light. If the light is not hot, the insects will cover it and everywhere will be dark. But if the light has heat, the insects will die. That is exactly what happens to every destined child. When you are a Christian, you have the fire – that is the difference. So if you are not a Christian and you are a destined child, the destiny will be covered. They will not fulfil their destiny.

“We have various kinds of leaders. Some people could be leaders in their own family, liberation to their own family financially or morally – they are destined. But they can reduce him if the insects have covered his light. That is why you see some leaders, after they have climbed to the top or are in a big position – at the end of their job or tenure in their office, what have they acquired or what do they have to show for it? They can still get to that position but not achieve anything tangible because the light has been covered. The light wants to break out but it has been dampened. At the end of their tenure, ask him – what did you acquire? What is your legacy? There will be nothing to write home about.

The Journey To Deliverance
“When God wants to do something for you, He will use every means – so that anything that could hinder it will not come that way. Let me say promptly it was the will of God for me to come here (The SCOAN), to be delivered. What led me here – I went to a place and they were showing Emmanuel TV. I watched someone’s testimony and said, “Why don’t I come here to get breakthrough for my finances?” I had to earn a living, because the money they give to you is not for yourself – it’s to give to people, to afflict them with sickness. I can’t use it for myself. So as a human being, I have to get money to eat and earn a living.

“When I entered the church on Sunday morning, the atmosphere was not conducive. They were trying to get me out of the area. When they observe the area you are in is not conducive, they will come to you to get you out. It was a battle. I fought the ushers that day. I wanted to leave, but they did not allow me. So I told them I wanted to go to the toilet. When I came out and got to the steps, the atmosphere outside was also not conducive. There was a spiritual battle going on. I went back inside.

Unwilling To Yield
“When they started worship, it was like a bell in my ears. When you are ringing a loud bell in somebody’s ear, it was really like that. In the process, the pastor (T.B. Joshua) came out. He prophesied there is a strong man here in our midst. I knew he saw me. Before he began the prayer, he said that there were some unwilling spirits, people that were unwilling to yield, that we should first of all pray for such people.

“As the prayer began, it was like fire was burning all around me. I didn’t know when I came out. I just found myself outside my chair. It was like when you throw someone into hot oil. I later saw myself somersaulting and the spirit left me. I actually felt it come out.

“Afterwards, everything became normal. I could see normally. My emotions returned and I started regretting. I felt like a human being. I began to feel sorry for the people who had died. I began to reason that really I have committed sin against humanity and against God.

Advice To Christians
“When you want to serve God – serve Him in truth and in spirit. If I may quote right – seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. Forget about other things. Your mentality first should be the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is not by physical appearances. It is by your inner mind, your spirit being. How do you fortify your spirit being? By living in righteousness, in truth. Let your yes be your yes; let your no be your no. Sincerity, honesty, genuineness.

“Be committed to God. And more over – what empowers you as a Christian is the name of Jesus Christ. Not only Jesus, but Jesus Christ. Conclude it with that name Christ. When you travel all over the world, you see some people bearing Jesus but nobody ever bears Christ. For God has highly exalted His name and He has given Him the name above every other name and every knee shall bow to that name. The second one is the blood of Jesus Christ.

No Turning Back
“Immediately after my deliverance, I received some inspirational songs. On Monday after my deliverance I went to the prayer mountain. I didn’t know how to pray. I’ve never prayed; I’ve never read the Bible. I met the evangelist there and asked him – how do I pray? What will I say? He told me – first of all thank God for saving you and delivering you. You can begin by singing. I asked him – which song shall I sing? Shall I sing reggae, or disco? He said, just open your heart to the Holy Spirit. I felt something like cold water pour on my head. I felt cold. Songs began to come to me. I began to see myself thanking God. I experienced joy, peace and comfort in me. The song that came to me said: ‘I have decided to follow Jesus – no turning back.’ I have taken my decision to follow Christ – no more going back!

Mr Jude stayed in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations for over a month to receive God’s Word and learn His ways. Following his rehabilitation and reformation, he was given N200,000 to restart his life on the right foundation – with God Almighty.

Rubbish. Watch Emmanuel TV and see for yourself what Prophet T.B. Joshua said. He said that South Africa would go a goal ahead, but that if they didn't defend properly, then Mexico would equalize - exactly what happened. We should be careful not to misinterpret the words of a prophet to suit what we would like.
Christianity EtcLove Is Nigeria's Problem, Not Religious Crisis - Tb Joshua by Makweembo(op): 9:19pm On Apr 27, 2010
Love Is Nigeria's Problem, Not Religious Crisis - Joshua

Prophet T.B. Joshua is founder and General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations and Emmanuel TV, International Ministries through which many have received salvation, healing and deliverance. In this interview with OBIRE ONAKEMU, he spoke on the recent meeting of Christian clerics with President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, religious conflicts in Nigeria, corruption and unemployment among other issues.

How can Prophet T.B Joshua be described?
WELL, I am a human being just like you. If there is any difference, it is the righteousness of God, pure grace. God chooses Grace rather than works.

What would you say of President Yar'Adua's recent meeting with Christian clerics?
That is a personal life; a personal issue. When you talk of Yar'Adua, it is different from the presidency. The visit of religious leaders to Yar'Adua is a personal issue.

Do you think the visit is necessary since the pastors don't participate in partisan politics?
Details of the visit have not been made public. President Yar'Adua as a person can invite them. Therefore, he may have every right to invite you in a private sense, not in the capacity of a president.

Don't you think it would have been better to make the visit public so that more men of God like you would have been there?
Well, it is choice. He has the right to invite whoever he wants. it is his right.

What do you think should be the right prayers of Nigerians?
Their prayers should be those that are of the power of the Holy Spirit. There are two prayers. One is the prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit and prayer that springs up from needs. The fact that you are in need of bread from God, you pray: Lord, give me bread; that is one prayer. Another prayer is the one for the salvation of our souls; that whether you give me bread or not, he is my God. This is a prayer in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Whether he heals me or not, he is my healer; whether he redeems me or not, he is my Redeemer; whether he delivers me or not, He is my deliverer. That is the prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit.

What do you have to say of religious conflicts in this nation?
Well, I don't see religious conflict. What I see is love. We are to look for love: the love of neighbour and the love of God. PDP could consist of different religions and still believe in harmony. We haven't learnt that they fight in the senate because of religion. They do things in common and live in harmony even though they all have and believe in different religious ideas. In the National Assembly, in both the House of Senate and the House of Representatives, they fight over different issues and never on religious issues. And so, for somebody to say, there is a religious crisis, I think, there is more to that. The problem we have is not religious crisis, it is love that is lost. We should look for love. It is good to love: a love that is beyond religion, beyond hatred, beyond geographical location, beyond morality?

Is there any need to review Nigeria's membership of Islamic organizations?
As you know, I am a Christian. And you should ask me about Christianity! Ok, you are talking of Islamic organisations. Muslims are my neighbours. And I think an Islamic cleric should be the best to answer that.

Nigeria is a secular state but by its actions, the federal government is portraying it as an Islamic country. What do you have to say concerning this?
Well, I don't see it the way you look at it. It is the same love that I'm talking about that is lost. When there is love we have one Nigeria. But we pretend to love. That is why we can have different religions in PDP, different religions in the Action Congress (AG) and different religions in other political parties. We pretend to love, that is why the senate would never hear a conflict over religion. So, we pretend to love. But that love, the love we have, is conditional. What we really need is unconditional love.

Where do you think we should place falling moral values in the Nigerian socio-political life?
The philosophy of our Lord Jesus Christ says: "Love your neighbour as yourself" Love is the greatest vessel. A Christian is known by his love. A child of God is known by his love. A true believer is known by his love. A true pastor is known by his love.

Whatever name you call yourself: whether a cleric or pastor, is mere claim until that name is tested in the real situation. And it is love that can make us pass tests, trials and tribulations. When you love, you will see beyond whatever trials that you are facing. God will manifest his strength in your weakness. And when God manifests his strength in your weakness, it is no longer you that is facing the trials but God.

So, how would you advise Nigerian leaders to handle their service to the country?
When you talk of offering services to our nation, we should see our nation as more important than any other structure or person. Whatever we do today, we should work for good name, not for silver and gold. When you work for good name, you would always be just and you would be a good reporter to the superior. To be a good reporter to the superior is to be his watchdog and report everything that would affect the ministry, the company or the nation to the superior. And if you report the need for change and nothing is done, you have the right to resign. And that is how it is! Also, they should know that they cannot do it alone. They need people, good people. The President needs good people - informed people, inspired people - to achieve success. Our Lord Jesus Christ knew this and that is why he had twelve disciples.

Do you think political offices should be made less attractive?
As I said earlier, what we should work for is good name, not riches. Everyone has weaknesses. But we believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ, manifests his strength in our weaknesses.

What do you think is the solution to corruption in this country?
Corruption is as old as Nigeria's Independence; it is as old as Nigeria. So, when one talks of corruption, our minds always go to politicians. But go to the market, what market women bought at N500 you would be very surprised that they sell at N5, 000. If such market women become ministers, what do you think they would do with public funds? At every level of our society, corruption should be looked into. We focus on politicians, but we should look from primary schools to secondary schools to market women and to other places. And that is the only way out. When we go out every morning to work for good name, we live above corruption, since corruption is an enemy to good name.

Equally, do you see unemployment as one of Nigeria's biggest problems?
Unemployment is in everywhere. I was once telling my ministry in my report here that our mineral resources should not be exchanged for dollars, pounds, silver or gold. When we take our mineral resources to places like the United States of America, it should be in exchange for their technologies. And secondly, our children must know that education can only help to succeed but it is not success itself. They need God in every aspect of life.

2011 is fast approaching, would you advise Christian leaders to go into partisan politics?
You can't separate politics from Christianity. There is politics in the parlance of the Holy Ghost. If they go into politics in the power of the Holy Ghost, they would administer their politics in the power of God. God would be their guide. But the politics we see today is the politics in the parlance of might and power. Politics of might and power is not politics for men of God.

Final message to Nigerians
I would say to Nigerians that whatever we are facing now is not meant to destroy the nation. It is meant to strengthen us. So, we should watch the way we talk and the way we react. The way we handle our situation matters. We should look beyond our situation. What we are facing now, super countries had once had the same situation and they overcame it. Ours should also be seen. What is happening is not a new thing.

So, I'm advising Nigerians not to lose hope. We are getting it and we shall surely be there tomorrow. If we are not there today, we shall be there tomorrow!

There is also the need to embrace righteousness. Righteousness exalts a nation while sin brings reproach. If only we embrace righteousness, God will manifest his strength in our weakness. So, we should also not put everything on our leaders. And President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, I pray for his speedy recovery. Nothing is impossible with the Lord; with God all things are possible!

As for Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, Love is the greatest!

Christianity EtcTb Joshua Sends Emmanuel Tv Relief Team To Haiti, Spends $3 Million - The Sun by Makweembo(op): 3:14pm On Feb 02, 2010
Synagogue opens field hospital in Haiti
•Plans to adopt 500 orphans

To give medical attention and succour to the wounded and children turned orphans by the devastating earthquake in Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti, the Synagogue church last Sunday flew in a plane -load of medical and food supplies.

In partnership with some foreign charity organizations, the church with headquarters at Ikotun, a suburb in Lagos earlier dispatched an advance team last Saturday to the Caribbean Island. As reported by the church’s satellite television, Emmanuel tv, the advance team and the plane, a chattered cargo plane took off from Miami, Florida, U.S.A.

The cargo plane with registration number N587 and Emmanuel TV boldly emblazoned on it in blue letters also had on board a team of doctors, nurses and sundry humanitarian workers.

Reporting live for Emmanuel TV, Gary Tange showed viewers the warehouse where the medical and food supplies were stock piled before being loaded aboard the cargo plane.
The owner of the plane who also pilots it, Tito Menedez was full of praise for Synagogue and the General Overseer of the church, pastor T.B. Joshua. As televised live last Sunday afternoon before the plane took off, Tito said: “I’m happy to be part of this private effort. Prophet T.B Joshua and Emmanuel TV are great.”

During the church service on Sunday afternoon, prophet Joshua explained why Synagogue is in Haiti, saying: “Haiti has given me sleepless nights. If it means selling my clothes, I’ll do it. We are going to take care of the wounded, the sick, the hungry. We will also adopt at least 500 orphans and take care of them there.”

Speaking to Sunday Sun on the corridor of the church immediately after the service, prophet Joshua further said, “I’m looking at a convenient time to join our team in Haiti. We and our partners want to help.”
The cost of the project was put at $3 million.

Christianity EtcAdeboye, Akingbola And The ‘private Jet’ Revisited by Makweembo(op): 8:21pm On Jan 16, 2010
Interesting article I read in today's Vanguard,

Adeboye, Akingbola and the ‘Private Jet’ Revisited
Is Christianity a lifestyle of a life? All the vibrancy that has come to be associated with modern Pentecostal Christianity, particularly in the third world as led by Nigeria has not come without its own philosophies. One of the most original of those must be the one which has the religion as being a lifestyle rather than a mere declaration. At some point, it all made sense. If a person would be referred to as a Christian, it figures he must behave like one. In those days, it was easy enough to identify what the lifestyle of a Christian is. These days, it’s not that easy. The profile of a Christian then was of a quiet easy going chap who went about with a Bible in his pocket or handbag, looking morose and dressing appropriately. He went to church six days a week and bore with admirable longsuffering as more worldly characters made jest of him. He dressed decently and minded his language, at the expense of self.

Not now. The Christian’s lifestyle now is more colourful, more expressive. Some of the funniest and most popular jokes on the Nigerian comedy scene are Christian jokes. There is the “Why did the chicken cross the road?” joke, there is the one about a Christian that went to Heaven and got bored with all the slow music, preferring hell and its naked girls. And then there is that classic AY one about single ladies taking the dance floor in the club on Saturday night and the church aisle on Sunday morning with the same clothes and the same dance steps!

The Pentecostals have moved out of the world, but created an identical one for themselves within their church, acquiring thousands of acres of land, building incredible edifices for the Lord and themselves costing millions of dollars. A prominent Pentecostal pastor ended up on the Elite list, while winning the Vanguard/Silverbird television poll for Greatest Living Legend. Everything was MGM, until the Private Jet saga, which threatened his empire, with bad-belle people wondering too loud what a man of God might need a jet for.

Now, that threat is back. Now that Erastus Akingbola, a corporate man of God who is now being slammed left right and centre begs the question are these pastors doing with all these things material? His association with the head of the Redeemed Kingdom vis a vis the Private Jet is being questioned again. Those complaining should desist from doing so. You know what they all say: “Touch not my anointed…”

What amused me were that Vanguard were the ones who gave him living legend, and now they are criticising him, But she made some very valid points.

Then we learned our super-sub top striker is his alter boy. Then John Fashanu confirmed TBJ told him the outcome of the Mozambique game before they played. Now he has spoken out about Super Eagles,

When are we going to honour this man for who he is - A MAN OF GOD,

Let Amodu bring Super Eagles to Synagogue for thanksgiving! God was involved in today's events - for Mozambique to beat Tunisia, na God dey!

I remember last month in the service on Emmanuel TV, TB Joshua said that the problem is not with the Nigeria-Kenya match, meaning we will win - but the Tunisia game. I know he must have been praying over it! God was really on our side today, and I learned TBJ even predicted on Tribune that we would win, and Mozambique would win.

South Africa here we come!

Patience honestly I watched those videos and was shocked that a prophet could see this before it happens. I wish the man had immediately sent the message to the family, maybe that would have helped and Micheal wouldn't have died today.

Christianity EtcTB Joshua's Encounter With M.K.O Abiola: by Makweembo(op): 12:09am On Jun 15, 2009
In 1992, M.K.O. Abiola met a strange man who prophesied this very occurrence. Below is an article taken from the publication ‘Faith Cometh’ that gives full details of how this encounter took place…

It is often said that when God talks, the wise listen. God often uses men as instruments of His wisdom. Why is this a lesson that many learn only in retrospect? If we could live our lives over again, what warnings would we heed? What advice would we ignore? An encounter with a true prophet of God can change the course of the history of one’s life forever.

What you are about to read is the narration of an encounter between the late Chief MKO Abiola and Prophet T.B. Joshua, as narrated by journalist turned businessman, Otunba Andy Anibor.

F. C: Welcome to Faith Cometh. Can we talk to you sir?
A.A: My name is Chief Andy Anibor. I am the Bobagunwa of Ilaro and a businessman.

F.C: What is your relation with the Synagogue via the prophet?
A.A: In 1992 when I was working with the Guardian Newspaper as Chief Correspondent, I was the one sent by the office to cover the launch of a vessel bought by the late business mogul Chief M.K.O Abiola in faraway Germany. When we returned to Nigeria, a relationship had begun and developed and he asked me to resign my position with The Guardian to become his (Abiola’s) Protocol Officer.

During that period, I had the opportunity of meeting the man of God and that was in 1992 when the church was still at its old site. I told him that I wanted him to meet my boss Chief Abiola who was contesting the presidential election. At about 8pm on that day, I and the man of God drove to the Chief’s house on Abiola Crescent, Ikeja. The man of God, within ten minutes of the meeting, told Abiola that he was going to win the election but he was never going to be the President of Nigeria.

Immediately, Chief called me aside and told me that this man was not an ordinary man, he asked me how I knew him and where he is from. I told him that the Prophet is from The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. He said: “Where is Synagogue?” I told him that Synagogue is in Lagos, and he asked what he could do now? I told him to give the prophet money; maybe he could turn away the evil that would make his ascension to the exalted office of president, impossible.

I came back to the man of God and told him that Chief says I should give him money. There was always enough money on me. I counted fifty thousand naira, but the prophet refused saying he had told Chief what was going to happen and that the only thing he could do to salvage the situation was for him to come to the church.

I went back to the Chief and told him the message from the man of God and Chief said: ‘‘Yes, he is a man of God, he should make me win instead of telling me to come to his church, he knows I am a Muslim’’. He there and then told me that I should desist from seeing the man of God again and that he is too powerful for my kind of person, I should stay away from the Synagogue and that is how I abandoned my friend for several years.

F.C: Prophet T.B. Joshua has been painted negatively in the press before the public so that one would think that everyone would keep their distance and here you are saying he is your friend. What informs this stance?
A.A: Well at that time, my contact with the man of God was an act of God. He is very humane. We used to drive in my car to Oyingbo with the food in my car booth. It was a ‘gazing watch’ for passers-by who must have thought: ‘Ah, what is wrong with this duo?’ Here were people in their respective places of work and we prefer to share food to the destitute. We also used to go to motherless babies homes at Makoko, he would feed the children and for hours he would be in their midst. So, I came to like him until that event between him and Chief Abiola and the instruction to stay away.

F.C: Were you surprised that he turned down the offer of fifty thousand naira even when it was obvious that he could do a lot with that sum in 1992/93?
A.A: Before he rejected the offer, I knew he was not money conscious because I used to see a lot of money in his office. I knew it was not all about money. I knew he was not going to take it because he gives out more than that to those who seek his assistance. So, he not taking the money was not a shock to me.

F.C: Looking back, do you not feel guilty for jettisoning your friend because your boss dreaded the truth?
A.A: The man pays my bills and I thought he was actually going to be the president. I did not want to believe the man of God, not with the money, the connection national and international and the backing of the military and one man is saying he is not going to be there? I said to myself this man has only one vote, so I tried to follow the man that has been spending money, I thought we will win. Yes we did win fare and square, but the election was annulled.

F.C: Why didn’t you run back to the prophet?
A.A: I remembered him quickly but it was too late because Chief had been arrested, so I had to run to my uncle Chief Kokori and told him that we have to help this man. He asked: ‘‘If we have to help this man what of those who betrayed him?’’ It is the cumulative events of that period that gave birth to June 12 struggle, NUPENG strike and other things that shook Abacha. At that time, I became angered that the man of God refused to help us after all I would have been living inside Aso Rock. So I did not want to come and see him again until recently.

F.C: There were more prominent men of God who told Abiola that it was Eldorado and here was T.B. Joshua just coming up and he is saying the contrary. What can you say of Prophet T.B. Joshua?
A.A: In fact, when you take a man to a big man’s house, you expect him to say what the big man wants to hear and here was a young prophet who looked deeply into the big man’s eyes and told him point blank that he was going to win but that he will never rule. We were all alone in the late Kudirat’s apartment when he told him the message face to face. After that encounter, before the ugly events that unfolded later, Chief always taunted me saying: “Where is that your friend”, and I would say that I no longer go there, so I do not know much about him. I did not believe the prophet’s prediction because with Abiola’s weight and connection in society, nobody would have given the prophet’s prediction a second thought because it has never been heard of in the annals of political history in Nigeria that a candidate wins an election and he is denied his mandate and here is a man, a year before the election, predicting that there would be annulment.

I think that was why Chief warned me saying: ‘‘You know, you are a small boy and these people are more than you. This man of God is not an ordinary man. He told me that when he shook his hand, he knew the prophet is not an ordinary man and that I should distance myself from the man of God if I wanted to stay with him but that if I wanted to go, I could go. I wanted to stay with Chief so I stayed away from the prophet.

F.C: After the annulment was there anytime Chief Abiola in retrospect mentioned T.B. Joshua to you?
A.A: After the annulment, a lot of prophets and pastors were coming and were trying to make him believe that the situation would change. I was all over the place busy looking for spiritual people who could work on Babaginda’s mind to de-annul the election. Let me be frank, I was also scared of reminding him that there was a man who stood out against what others said because I was feeling that in his annoyance, he could say I should go and bring the man, alleging that he caused his failure, so I couldn’t brace up myself to tell him of the prophet. But I think he still remembered because he once complained that he is not comfortable with these people because they were the ones who told him that he would become the president and now they are telling him that Babagida will die tomorrow. A few days later, security men picked him up and he never came back alive.

F.C: Do you think over confidence and not religion informed Abiola’s decision not to honour the prophet’s simple instruction?
A.A: Indeed he had on one occasion boasted that I should not mind the prophet, that either through the right means or through the back door he will be sworn in as the president. I think it is both factors but his confidence in his ability to twist things to his taste overwhelmed his judgement.

F.C: T.B. Joshua is your friend and the friend of so many people. Why do you think people hold him high, now?
A.A: There are so many factors responsible for this. I spoke about his humility, his lifestyle, for which many would mistake him for an ordinary man. Secondly, his magnanimity to those in need. Let me tell you that as I left service on Sunday, a friend called me all the way from London informing me that he just watched on the screen the church programme where according to him the prophet was giving out cash gifts to widows/widowers, dwarfs and after that the fellow said that unlike his pastor who cruises past beggars who lined the church path on service days but I told him that he has not just started the doling out of gifts, it is a thing he’s been practicing over fifteen years now though at that time it was on a small scale, I mean financially. T.B. Joshua is a rare breed. In this era where pastors are amassing wealth for themselves and their families, going into ventures that are outside the confines of the sanctuary, here is a man who is sharing his wealth with the less privileged. Once in a lifetime, such fellows grace the earth and they are always true prophets of God.

F.C: You still remember some of those pastors and prophets who prophesied falsehood, if per chance your path crosses theirs, what would you tell them?
A.A: I know so many of them who will see me and take a duck because they knew then that they were after the man’s money and told a lie against the Holy Spirit of God. If I am opportune to talk with any of them, I will point out one thing to them now, how they let themselves down and will warn them to shun crowd prophesies. T.B. Joshua was not a big pastor then, I mean compared with some big names at that time and yet he stood on the truth. See how God vindicated him as a true prophet of God.
