TB Joshua’s absence at Tanzania presidential inauguration stirs debate Despite his presidential welcome and high-profile arrival in Tanzania this week, Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua was notably absent at Thursday’s inauguration of the new Tanzanian President Dr John Pombe Magufuli. Local media was awash with the news of Joshua’s first visit to the East African nation with expectations that the Nigerian cleric may play some role in the ceremony which saw eight African states converge on Tanzania’s capital city of Dar es Salaam. However, it was later revealed that the pastor actually spent time at the house of Magufuli’s political rival and opposition leader Edward Lowassa. A picture of the duo holding hands outside of the former Prime Minister’s house was posted to social media several hours after the inauguration had concluded where the topic of Joshua’s absence was hotly debated. “Been since morning trying to solve this #TBJoshua puzzle… no success so far”, wrote Evarist Chahali, a Tanzanian social media activist on Twitter. “Did he decide not to turn up for the inauguration or was he asked not to after photos emerged showing him with Lowassa?” Lowassa took to his verified Twitter account to acknowledge Joshua’s presence and thank him for bringing ‘God’s guidance’. “I appreciate the great honour the servant of God, T.B. Joshua, gave to me by coming to my home to discuss the affairs of the nation and pray with my family,” he wrote in Swahili. It was the first public statement the CHADEMA presidential candidate had made on social media since his rival was declared the winner of the hotly contested elections. Lowassa’s wife Regina similarly broke her silence on social media by tweeting about Joshua’s visit to their home. “I am very grateful for the presence of T.B. Joshua, God’s servant, in my house,” she wrote. “We have received comfort and God’s blessings.” On Wednesday 4th November 2015, Joshua held a long meeting with prominent UKAWA leaders, the coalition of opposition parties that tried to topple the ruling CCM party from power. His prolonged meetings with Lowassa and his colleagues have given credence to the notion that Joshua’s main intention for visiting Tanzania was to bring a message of reconciliation and peace in the wake of the disputed elections. “If TB Joshua was in it for the publicity, he would have sat in the limelight with the likes of Magufuli, Mugabe, Zuma, Kenyatta and the rest of them at today’s ceremony,” wrote one commentator on a Tanzanian blog. “But he’s not a materially-minded pastor; I know his main concern is peace and stability for our nation.” Both Lowassa and Tanzania’s new President Magufuli are friends of the Nigerian ‘Prophet’, having visited him in Nigeria several years ago. Today, TB Joshua met with all the main opposition leaders in Tanzania. Perhaps for reconciliation?

Here's a pic from a Tanzanian newspaper stand this morning... Crazy!!! On the other hand, not a single Nigerian newspaper even reported the story... A prophet, they say, is without honour in his hometown.
|
ril19:I honestly would not be surprised if during his lifetime he would be given such. But really great men are usually most valued when they pass on. Perhaps that will be the case with TBJ... |

Within hours of Pastor T.B. Joshua touching down in Tanzania on Tuesday November 3rd 2015, he had met the three most important political figures in the country - John Magufuli, the President-Elect, Jakaya Kikwete, the outgoing President and Edward Lowassa, the former Prime Minister and opposition leader. However, a government source has revealed that the Nigerian Pastor's uncanny influence in the East African nation did not just begin during the recently held elections. "Our new President, John Magufuli, visited T.B. Joshua in Nigeria long before he even nursed a presidential ambition," explained Eng. Ngimbwa, chairperson of the Tanzanian Contractors Registration Board. As Tanzania's industrious Minister of Works, Magufuli visited The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria with his family in 2011, evidenced by a picture which surfaced on social media showing the Tanzanian politician holding hands with Joshua in the cleric's office. He has since remained a staunch supporter of the Nigerian and partner to Joshua's popular television station Emmanuel TV. Magufuli's emergence as the presidential candidate for Tanzania's ruling party CCM was a surprise to both local and international observers, given the more prominent and popular figures he ran against. "It was T.B. Joshua that actually encouraged him to contest for presidency," Ngimbwa insisted. "When he won the nomination against all odds, we knew it was God at work." Intriguingly, Lowassa is also an outspoken supporter of Joshua, having visited Nigeria to meet the ‘prophet' on several occasions. A photo of the former Prime Minister attending one of Joshua's services in 2012 was widely circulated in Tanzania. Several commentators have inferred that Joshua may play some reconciliatory role on his first visit to the East African nation, given the palpable tension that still exists in the aftermath of the closely fought elections. Lowassa's opposition CHADEMA party have insisted the election was won on fraudulent grounds, refusing to accept the electoral announcement of Magufuli's victory. "If there's anyone who can bring peace to the warring politicians at this time, its Pastor Joshua," one Tanzanian blogger wrote while sharing the story of the cleric's arrival, which saw the President-Elect waiting to meet him at the airport. A tweet from Magufuli's official Twitter account acknowledged that Joshua will be in Tanzania for the presidential inauguration on Thursday 5th November 2015 although it is unclear if he will play any role in the ceremony. His visit has sparked huge interest on African social media, especially since it is the first time the cleric has been seen in public since a crusade he held in Mexico in May 2015 which had over 150,000 in attendance. "T.B. Joshua's visit to Tanzania can only be a blessing to our nation," wrote Geoffrey Kapuliya, a Tanzanian pastor, on Facebook. A video on YouTube shows outgoing Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete escorting Joshua around the Tanzanian State House and introducing him to the country's ministers. Tanzanian politicians are not the first in Africa to have sought the spiritual guidance of the unconventional pastor. The late Ghanaian President John Atta-Mills described himself as ‘a member' of The SCOAN and publicly testified that Joshua ‘prophesied' his ascension to power. Similarly, Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangarai visited Joshua's church in Nigeria on several occasions as did former Malawian President Joyce Banda and late Zambian President Frederick Chiluba. Joshua allegedly played a role in the successful transition of power in Nigeria's recent election. He claimed to have told outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan that his ‘regime had come to an end', advising him to peacefully concede power. His television station Emmanuel TV is one of the most popular in Africa, amassing 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. Two survivors of the tragic incident that saw a Bristow helicopter crash into the lagoon in Oworonshoki, Lagos on Wednesday 12th August, 2015 have testified that it was 'God's hand' that saved them from certain death. On Sunday 25th October, oil workers Chukwudi Onah and Dolu Ebiejuara appeared in the church of controversial Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua to thank God for preserving their lives in the disaster that led to six fatalities, including that of the pilot and co-pilot. According to Onah, it was 'Morning Water' he had received at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations' (SCOAN) that was instrumental to his survival. "I never leave it anywhere I am going. It's always with me, along with my Anointing Sticker," he explained to the congregation. "On that fateful day, before I left my room, I prayed that God would take charge and thanked Him for journeying mercies," he continued, stating that he sprayed the 'Morning Water' upon himself. According to Onah, there were no signs of trouble as the flight was going "very smoothly". However, merely minutes away from arriving at Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport (DNMM), tragedy struck. "The chopper suddenly turned," Onah vividly described. "Everybody became confused. We were shouting Jesus! The chopper was dangling up and down. I didn't even know when it fell inside the water." As the Bristow Sikosky S76 C+ helicopter began descending steadily to the bottom of the lagoon, Onah was strapped heavily into his seatbelt and could not move. "I shouted, 'God of TB Joshua - save me' ", he recounted, adding that his lungs soon filled up with water. According to the SEDCO oil worker, what transpired next can only be termed 'supernatural'. Staring death in the face, confused and struggling to free himself, Onah said he heard a 'voice' speaking clearly to him. "It's just as you are hearing me now. The voice said, 'Your seatbelt.' I took my hand to the side of the seat belt and it became suddenly loose. The same voice came again and said, 'Your lifejacket'. I took my hand to the side of the life-jacket and it suddenly inflated. It now carried me up from down to the top of the sea." Onah somberly recounted that the two passengers seated directly besides him were among the fatalities. "If not for Jesus, I would have died. I give the glory to Jesus Christ who saved my life," he said, bringing out the 'Anointing Sticker' from his pocket that he had with him on the day of the ill-fated journey. Dolu Ebiejuara similarly stated that he was a regular visitor to The SCOAN and had ministered 'Morning Water' before entering the helicopter that day. Recounting his experience, he said, "All that I saw was the helicopter take a sharp turn and then we were just plummeting down." Moments before the crash, Ebiejuara said that he lost consciousness. "All I could remember was that I saw myself swimming. There is no way I could have come out of the helicopter without removing my seat belt but I was not the one. I don't even know how I came out under the water. I know it is God's doing because there is God's hand in the Morning Water." The duo both sustained injuries but have since recovered. They were accompanied by more than seventeen family members who came to share the testimony. Intriguingly, T.B. Joshua himself was not present in the service, making it more than five months since he has been seen in public. SOURCE: http://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2015/10/bristow-helicopter-crash-survivors.html

badnature:Tell that to the coroner, bro. It's just too unusual to be passed off as structural... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMTvgIKaOBI |
Seeing the images of the Lagos building that collapsed yesterday (first two pics below) - it struck me once again how the incident that happened at The Synagogue last year was abnormal. The SCOAN building fell symmetrically without any tilting and without any singular part of the structure remaining intact (last two pics below)- whereas you can see the Lagos building still had a large piece of its structure standing and in tact. I am no construction expert but I still stand my ground - what happened at Synagogue last year was more than just a normal 'collapse'. There was something more to it...

OPINION: Nigeria’s Deafening Silence To Hajj Tragedy I am a Nigerian. I am a Muslim. And I am angry… Almost a month has elapsed since the calamitous stampede at the Hajj in Mecca and we are no closer to any concrete answers about what really happened. The Nigerian death toll in the incident is creeping alarmingly higher – 199 at the last count with a further 121 missing. That’s 320 people. Gone. Real people with hopes, aspirations, plans for the future. Sucked from them in a crushing matter of moments. Parents cruelly stolen from children. Husbands separated forever from their partners. It’s nauseating. My close friend in Kaduna lost his wife in the tragedy and no amount of words or religious counsel can replace her. He still wakes up each morning in mourning, an empty space beside him on the bed. The Associated Press put the current toll at 2,121 (with well over 1,000 still ‘missing’), making it easily the worst tragedy in the Hajj’s history and the deadliest crowd crush disaster to have occurred in modern times. To add insult to injury, the Saudi Arabian government have refused to amend their initial statement that only 769 perished, despite the clear evidence from figures tallied by countries involved which tripled this. However, for me, the worst part of this tragedy is not the huge number of fatalities. It’s not the images of Saudi officials bulldozing dead bodies into a heap to ‘clean up’ in the stampede aftermath. It’s not the brazen attempts for officials to trade blames – from African pilgrims refusing to obey instructions to Iran deliberately instigating the stampede to tarnish Saudi reputation. No. The worst tragedy here is the deafening silence of the countries affected. Rather than raising a clarion call for justice for the victims, compensation for the bereaved families and an independent investigation into what really happened, it appears most countries have swept the incident under the rug. I can’t talk for other nations but let me stir the hornet’s nest a little in my own country Nigeria. The Nigerian response to this horrific incident smacks of the highest level of hypocrisy as it sadly appears Buhari and his cohorts have chosen to tread the cowardly path of apathy. It’s true Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki is facing heat right now over his assets but did anyone not notice what he said when a Saudi delegation visited last week? “I think it’s not about who is at fault but how do we ensure that we improve,” he is quoted as saying. Yes, that was it from Nigeria’s number three citizen. No call for justice. No demand for the real figures to be released. No talk of recompense for affected families. No insistence on an independent enquiry to unravel the truth behind the tragedy. No assertion on the need for responsibility to be duly taken. Just some wrapped up political hogwash, concluded by a call for enhancement of the visa processing between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia for prospective pilgrims. Some families still don’t know the fate of their loved ones and Saraki is already planning for the next Hajj. Is the value and sanctity of human life so easily trodden upon? My reason for using hypocrisy as a key word in describing Nigeria’s lukewarm response is born of comparing it to the last major tragedy of ‘religious’ proportions that befell our country. When T.B. Joshua’s church hostel ‘collapsed’ or ‘imploded’ (pending on which side of the story you believe), sending 115 Christian pilgrims to an early grave, the Nigerian government was quick to apportion blame on the church and implement a predetermined court case to ascertain those at guilt. Even when CCTV footage was released by Joshua with compelling evidence that a military aircraft was connected to the tragedy, Nigeria’s government refused all requests to reveal the identity and assignment of the strange plane which encircled the ill-fated building four times, nor its occupants. On that singular point alone, why are Nigeria (and other countries for that matter) not insisting that Saudi Arabia make the CCTV footage of the collapse public – if truly they have no culpability or dirty hands? It is well known that an elaborate security camera network was set up several years ago capturing every detail of the entire stretch of the Hajj journey. Perhaps the truth lies within those records – just as TB Joshua’s CCTV footage revealed the truth behind the uncanny nature of the buildings falling. My point here is that the government deliberately tried to frame and blame Joshua for The Synagogue incident (without any pertinent consideration for the possibility of sabotage), making their nonchalance and refusal to question the Saudi officials all the more irritating. Perhaps they feel they can pick on someone like Joshua because he’s an individual and has no palpable political clout, as opposed to the oil-rich Saudi officials. Any impartial observer will scream at the arrogance and callousness of the Saudi response to the tragedy yet it appears it’s still ‘business as usual’ in Mecca. The Hajj will continue and it’s likely no changes ‘in the system’ will result. When will Nigeria genuinely stand up for what is right and champion the cause of justice – irrespective of the religious, political or ethnic implications? I pray to Allah that my eyes would behold such a day. SOURCE: http://ynaija.com/opinion-nigerias-deafening-silence-hajj-tragedy/ Thought-provoking piece of opinion writing. What a rape of justice!

Nigerian 'Prophet' T.B. Joshua has released an intriguing sermon on popular video-sharing site YouTube revealing his coveted 'success secrets'. In the video, which shows several clips of an almost unrecognizable Joshua in his 'early ministry', the cleric reveals that the persecution he encountered was instrumental in preparing him for the arduous task of serving in God's vineyard. "I began discovering the good life when I was only 15 years old," Joshua explained. "It's all about love and be loved. Help and be helped. Show mercy and receive mercy. Give and receive more of whatever you give. Here are just a few of his 'success secrets' worth pondering on: • "When you learn what God has made you for and how He treasures your company, you are bound to be contented, self-sufficient and happy." • "We should not allow unhealthy ego, pride or greed to overrule our good intention." • "Those who have the greatest and most positive impact on society are not concerned with name and fame." • "Every day you must stay true to your purpose, despite snow or rain. When your purpose is clear, your life will have meaning." • "A resolve to do whatever proper thing it takes separates the weak from the strong. The strong are determined to do whatever possible and proper thing to get to their goal." • "If you are focused only on making money, a large slice of life will pass you by." • "Adopting a lifestyle that is on purpose provides an opportunity to enrich others by leaving your imprint in a positive way. " Surprisingly, T.B. Joshua has not been seen in public for almost six months, his last appearing being a crusade in Mexico held in May 2015. SOURCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IjDndGOjK4

Temotala:Spot on. Why don't they haul the Saudi King in front of a court like they wanted to do with the TB Joshua coroner?? |
A MESSAGE FROM NIGERIA'S SENATE PRESIDENT AND SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE - THIS MUST BE READ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKpDSTaTVNc During a meeting with a government delegation from Saudi Arabia, the Nigerian Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara stated, "It wouldn't be out of place for us to call on the government and people of Saudi Arabia to double their efforts. Records are out there statistically that they are the best in crowd control. All we are asking for is that they increase their capacity to manage the crowd in such a way that we avoid this human catastrophe." Similarly, the Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki stated, "I cannot end my comments without us talking about how we improve on the issue of visa processing for some of our pilgrims going for the Hajj. This is an area where a lot of Nigerians have issues of concern." He further said concerning the tragedy, "I think it's not about who is at fault but how do we ensure that we improve." Take note - the case of T.B. Joshua was not human error yet the man was embarrassed. This was an accident by an aircraft. Judge yourself. Touch not My anointed and do him no harm...

You may not understand his unique ways but one thing is undeniable - TBJ has a track record of accurate prophecies such that one should not just discount his words. I wonder which government officials were informed and what they did what that information? Did anyone inform Buhari? |
Although controversial Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua has not been seen in public for over five months, indications have emerged that his ‘famed’ predictions have not ceased. According to Nigerian celebrity news site, ‘Sahara Weekly‘, Joshua had warned some ‘government officials’ who visited him that Boko Haram insurgents had infiltrated Abuja and were planning to carry out ‘suicide bombing’ attacks. The said prediction allegedly took place in June 2015 and was posted online August 31st 2015 by the Sahara Weekly publisher who claimed he was a witness to the ‘prophecy’. Multiple bomb blasts rocked Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja late in the evening of Friday 2nd October 2015, killing scores of people. Suspected Boko Haram insurgents detonated explosive devices at a popular market and police station in the Kuje district before another bomb went off in Nyanya minutes later. It would be recalled that in March 2014, an alleged member of Boko Haram confessed at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) that the sect’s plan to bomb Joshua’s popular church was thwarted. In April 2014, Joshua released a YouTube video claiming he also predicted Boko Haram’s last attack in Nyanya, Abuja which left 88 dead and over 200 injured. It’s true that Oritsejafor has shown hypocrisy in this regard. Irrespective of any personal misgivings he may have about T.B. Joshua, the fact that such an incident happened to the Christian community and he remained silent speaks volumes... On an unrelated note - has anyone noticed that it was September 12 2015 when the crane incident happened in Mecca, exactly one year after TB Joshua’s building collapse. And then two weeks later, the Hajj stampede happened. Uncanny timing... |
I think SR mismatched jet owners but are not ready to admit it. TB Joshua is not the type of person who would lavish money on such a luxury... His charitable activities speak louder. |
He clearly wants people to know he's the owner - his own initials are on the jet!!! http://www.thetrentonline.com/photos-pastor-adeboye-acquires-new-65-million-gulfstream-jet-with-redeemed-logo-inscribed-look/ General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has reportedly taken delivery of a new Gulfstream jet valued at $65 million. According to a source which prefers to be remain unnamed, the jet was delivered to Adeboye recently and has the logo of the RCCG on it along with the initials of the General Overseer, EA. See email delivered to The Trent on the subject and the photo gallery after. Here are some exclusive new pictures of Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s brand new Gulfstream private jet, worth approximately $65 million. Putting to rest any doubts as to whether he is the actual owner, the cleric boldly emblazoned his initials ‘EA’ alongside the RCCG logo of a dove on the tail of the plane. Additionally, the jet is registered with the number ‘N370EA’, another clear reference to ‘Enoch Adeboye’ as its new owner. Sahara Reporters initially reported it was Synagogue Pastor T.B. Joshua who had purchased the new G550 but backtracked less than 24 hours later to reveal Pastor Adeboye was in fact the new owner of the luxury aircraft.

After all, TB Joshua is among the world's MOST FAMOUS spiritual leaders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-RI1J3trMQ |
Just read this comment online... sums up my thoughts exactly!!! "I am surprised at the fuss some people are making about T.B. Joshua's alleged purchase of a private jet. I don't know the validity of this report (given Sahara Reporter's dubious track record) but T.B. Joshua's persona fits the bill of one deserving of such a mode of transport. Recall that in March 2015, he was listed by 'The Society For Recognition Of Famous People' as one of the spiritual and religious leaders who have 'changed the course of history'. To put this contextually, he was named alongside the likes of Mother Theresa, Pope Francis, Martin Luther King Jr and John Bunyan! Consider the crusade he held in Mexico last May. A massive 150,000 were estimated to have attended the two day event in the Aztec Stadium, one of the world's largest football arenas. Do you expect someone who commands such an audience to travel commercially?" |
For those who can't watch, here's a summary: http://bulawayo24.com/index-id-News-sc-Religion-byo-71773.html Video: How TB Joshua prophesied 'MH370' plane parts discovery! Nigerian 'Prophet' T.B. Joshua has sensationally claimed he predicted how the debris, said to belong to the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, would wash up on the shore of Reunion Island to the West of the Indian Ocean. It is not the first time Joshua has prophesied about the plane, as his alleged ‘prediction' of the mysterious disaster 16 months ago went viral, attracting international media attention and garnering over 1,000,000 views in a matter of days. On Friday 31st July, a YouTube video was uploaded to the religious channel 'Emmanuel TV', showing three separate occasions where the Nigerian cleric spoke about the missing aircraft, revealing specific details of its fate and whereabouts. In the first clip dated March 15th 2014, a week after the plane's disappearance, Joshua waded into the controversy over its location, stating the search should be intensified "between the sea of Indonesia and the Indian Ocean." "The particles have gone swimming everywhere," he vividly illustrated. "It was seized by an object down in the sea." Joshua described that parts of the aircraft would only begin to surface after it had ‘decayed'. "When it decays and becomes particles, little bodies could come up on the sea," he explained. He then boldly declared the mystery would eventually be put to rest as ‘they will discover the particles'. Eight days later on March 23rd 2014, Joshua specified the part of the aircraft in question which would be discovered. "The thing I saw was floating on the sea, which is the hand of the plane," he said, demonstrating with his arm the shape of a 'wing'. He bemoaned people's unbelief, stating that if relevant authorities had contacted him, he would have given specific details as to the location of the missing plane, even if it meant flying over the exact point in the Indian Ocean. "When something is on the water floating, can you imagine [it] can travel miles if you do not go there to pick [up] the thing which is very close," he surmised. The cleric, who is well known for his impressive portfolio of purportedly accurate predictions, encouraged people who questioned his prophetic insight to check his ‘antecedents' online. Several weeks later on April 12th 2014, Joshua reiterated his prediction that ‘something held' the plane deep within the ocean but ‘particles' of it would eventually surface. "Go to the shore." he stated. "You will see some of the facts, evidence – bags, luggage. It has gone to the shore where it cannot move any longer." He specified the shore in question was "towards the west, Indian Ocean." The cleric ended by praying for family members of the 239 victims of the tragedy. "We pray for the loved ones that this concerns because their wound is our wound," he solemnly stated. Despite the controversies attached, Joshua said that he was under Divine compulsion to prophesy as it was a ‘gift from God'. "If you don't say it, the gift will remain dormant," he explained. "If God sends you to say what is going to happen and you do not say it, He will not send you next time." Malaysian authorities confirmed that the debris which washed up on Reunion Island, at the West side of the Indian Ocean, is from a Boeing 777, making it almost certainly the first piece of wreckage recovered from missing flight MH370. The Malaysia Airlines flight was one of only three Boeing 777s to have been involved in major incidents, along with the downing of MH17 over Ukraine last year and the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco airport in 2013. The component found on the French island bears the number '657-BB', according to photos of the debris, which matches the part for a ‘wing flap' in the Boeing manufacturer's manual. The discovery of the plane debris by a cleaning team on Wednesday sparked worldwide attention, heightened by the discovery on the same rocky beach of a piece of torn luggage, a detergent bottle with Indonesian markings and a Chinese bottle of mineral water. Environmental experts have explained the plausibility that currents in the Indian Ocean could have carried debris from the crash site in an arch past Indonesia and down to Reunion Island off the coast of Madagascar. The two-metre, barnacle-encrusted chunk of metal debris has been sent to a specialised laboratory in Toulouse, France for further investigations, the outcome of which is expected to be made public in a matter of days. The controversial prophecy clip was uploaded to Joshua's YouTube channel 'Emmanuel TV', which has over 210,000 subscribers. |

The Malaysia Airlines flight was one of only three Boeing 777s to have been involved in major incidents, along with the downing of MH17 over Ukraine last year and the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco airport in 2013. The component found on the French island bears the number ‘657-BB’, according to photos of the debris, which matches the part for a ‘wing flap’ in the Boeing manufacturer’s manual. The controversial prophecy clip was uploaded to Joshua’s YouTube channel ‘Emmanuel TV’, which has over 210,000 subscribers. One thing I know - when TB Joshua does come out, the ANOINTING will be at another level. In my many years of watching Emmanuel TV, I have NEVER seen him miss a single service. This means something BIG is on the way... |
Several more groups have released statements in lieu of the controversial ruling by the Lagos State Government into the cause of collapse of a building at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations last year. The West African Civil Rights Coalition (WACROC), a body comprising of twelve West African Nations which claims to 'promote justice, peace and human rights' in the region, stated its concern at the outcome of the inquest which ruled the collapse was 'due to structural defects'. According to WACROC, their concern is "driven by the terse socio-political situation in most of the West African countries, most especially as it rela tes to faith-induced violence," adding that terrorism is one of the major challenge faced by ECOWAS countries. Noting an increase in sophistication "in the mode of attacks by the extremist groups since several months ago when Boko Haram christened itself the Islamic State of West Africa," the group posited that The SCOAN's immense popularity and religious draw makes it a 'perfect target' for a terrorist attack. "The collapsed church building in Lagos, to us, looks too extraordinary," the group stated. "Can a building collapse without prior signals on its design and structure? Can a building collapse without prior cracks on the walls? Can a building collapse on a single space as if in a controlled demolition?" The statement further noted that the government did not take seriously the claim made by The SCOAN in March 2014 where an alleged Boko Haram member confessed the groups thwarted plan to bomb the church, nor did it consider the CCTV video posted by The SCOAN showing a plane encircling the building before its collapse . "The Lagos State government should probe the possible link between the attack and the contract said to have been signed between the Nigerian Federal Government under President Goodluck Jonathan and a private South African company," WACROC continued. "This may have been accountable for the fact that over 70% of the casualties were South Africans." It concluded by advising that all bias and religious sentiment be avoided in ensuring justice is done. "The Lagos State government, the Federal Government of Nigeria and West African governments should take critical and well informed steps and should not allow institutional opinions to be prejudiced by the well known malaise and rivalry that exist in Nigerian Christendom which often reflect the acts of government institutions and the idiosyncrasies of individuals in government." The O'odua Nationalist Coalition (ONAC), a body comprising over 35 pan-Yoruba groups, released a statement with similar sentiments. "An end has NOT come to the serious issues raised by the church that the building's collapse was orchestrated by a third, evil party," the influential coalition of Yoruba groups stated. "It is in the interest of the people of the South West to get to the root of this matter for the wellbeing and peace of our homeland." According to ONAC, "The facts raised through the evidence presented before the court including the way and manner the building fell in one fell swoop, which indicated 'controlled demolition', continue to linger." They further questioned the judgement of Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe, suspecting the influence of compromise. "We are aware that The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations is and has been a victim of faith-based bias given the unhealthy rivalry among Christians in Nigeria," the statement continued. "We only hope this will not affect the judgment of individuals and the relevant authorities." The group decried that fact that "there were no attempts to seek the assistance of international police or any relevant international agency in the probe of the collapsed building", giving credence to insinuations of a government 'cover-up'. "ONAC fears a clear attempt to demonize the whole episode without a clear-cut evidence based approach, for reasons best known to the forces behind the veil," the statement went on. The coalition concluded by stating that The SCOAN should be lauded for its positive impact in rebranding Nigeria's image internationally and attracting religious tourists to Lagos. "In many countries all over the world, the drug and scam images of Nigeria disappear at the mention of the name Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. This is a monument that the Yoruba nation and Nigeria will destroy to our own eternal peril." The Pan-Yoruba coalition, in its closing remarks, called for Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode to take urgent actions about "the decrepit state of the road from Isolo to Ikotun where the church is situated," citing the negative impression of Nigeria it gives to the multitudes of foreigners who travel it on their journey to and from the church. |
As The SCOAN initially stated, the verdict 'leaves many questions unanswered and issues unaddressed'. I would like people to look into this issue of government contract with South Africa. Remember the Ayo Oritsejafor jet debacle that happened at a similar time... - or the scandal in S/Africa where they alleged the government traded weapons for the bodies of the synagogue victims. There is DEFINITELY more to this case than meets the eye... Why is it that everything about TB Joshua seems to be shrouded in controversy ![]() |
Nosa77:I can affirm this truth 100%. TB Joshua is Nigeria's most well-known international brand and has done a huge deal to help rebrand its image internationally... |
An engineering expert from Tanzania is the latest to question the controversial verdict of Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe who presided over the inquest dealing with the collapse a building within The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) last year. Dr Steven Asheri Ntoga, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Tanzania, stated that from his professional viewpoint, structural failure was not the cause of the fatal collapse, contrary to the assertions of Komolafe. “I am a civil engineer, a structural engineer and a materials engineer,” Dr Ntoga explained in a YouTube video which shows him standing before the foundations of the ill-fated building within The SCOAN premises. The Tanzanian university lecturer said that ‘British standards’ were used in the construction, adding that the foundation was sufficiently strong for the size and weight of the building. “This foundation itself is over-exaggerated, meaning that the interaction between this foundation base and the soil has been opened up so wide that even if the soil was of low strength, then actually, it will still have an excellent response,” he explained. “This is why, as you can see, the foundation itself is healthy.” Ntoga, who was educated in Greece, described the steel used in the construction as having ‘the highest strength in the world’. “With this kind of foundation, the building could go to even more than 12 stories,” he insisted, adding that the manner and speed in which the building fell suggested controlled demolition. “This could only have been done as a preplanned arrangement by knowledgeable people like me who teach people how to demolish buildings,” he said. Since the verdict was released, Nigerians from different walks of life have also come out to question the outcome. Engineer Johnson Solomon, a Petro-chemical expert from Delta state observed that the ruling of the coroner appeared to be premeditated and jaundiced based on its refusal to take into consideration certain issues that suggested a possible sabotage. “The outcome of the coroner is purely an expression of the magistrate’s ill-feelings against the ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua,” he told newsmen in Effurun. Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, also stated his support for Joshua. “The healing and miracles being done by Joshua, just like any genuine man of God, will always have consequences, including attacks by dark forces,” the cleric told newsmen. “The ways of God are a mystery to man, so it is difficult to reject Joshua’s explanation for the collapse. We should leave judgement to God, even as families of the dead have forgiven the church,” he added. In the same vein, Senior Apostle Bamidele Ogunyemi of the Overcomers’ Evangelical Mission, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, noted that the coroner’s ruling seemed preplanned. The cleric who said he had been attending the legal proceedings at the Lagos Court, submitted that the body language of the presiding magistrate from the first day of the inquest showed that he was biased against The SCOAN. For Major General Mohammed Daura, a retired army officer from Kaduna, the coroner’s failure to dig deep into the aircraft theory posited by The SCOAN is an indication that the truth is being swept under the carpet. “I am interested in this case because of the great things Prophet T.B. Joshua has been doing for the less-privileged all over the world, especially those from northern Nigeria,” he said. According to Prophetess Nkiruka Omekagu, General Overseer of the Adonai Prophetic Ministries, “God’s wrath will fall on those who are trying to trouble the man of God”. She stated that no amount of falsehood against a prophet of God can stand the test of time, adding that human judgment is limited and subject to error. “Prophet T.B. Joshua remains a Christian role model worthy of emulation, so why is he being haunted for doing good to people,” she questioned. Meanwhile, The SCOAN has rejected the verdict of the coroner on the grounds that it is unreasonable, one-sided and biased. A group of youths across the 19 states of the North under the aegis of ‘Coalition of Northern Youths,’ has faulted Thursday verdict of the Lagos coroner’s court which indicted the Synagogue Church Of All Nations ( SCOAN), describing it as judicial ravings and a rape of justice. Addressing journalists after its emergency meeting in Kaduna on Friday, the chairman of the coalition, Gambo Ibrahim noted that the verdict was biased, malicious and one-sided, saying “we fear that the judiciary has compromised in this case and strongly disagree with Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe that structural defect was responsible for the failure of the six-storey building.” According to Gambo Ibrahim, “some enemies of progress, who are equally enemies of the state, and who are not happy with the good works of Prophet TB Joshua, are bent on pulling him down.” He said youths from the North were aware of how Prophet TB Joshua had positively touched many lives in and outside Nigeria through his ministry, philanthropy, empowerment and intervention programmes. On his part, the secretary of the coalition, John Bitrus likened Prophet TB Joshua’s case to the Biblical fact that “a prophet is not recognised in his home.” The coalition has, therefore, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the matter, in view of Synagogue’s immense contributions to the socio-economic development of Nigeria, as well as the spiritual well-being of the people. It said that the verdict lacked merit as it failed to refer to the CCTV footage which showed the 6-storey building falling in less than 4 seconds. The Lagos Coroner, Magistrate Komolafe had on Wednesday called for the investigation and prosecution of the church over its failure to obtain the necessary permit and approval before commencing the construction of the collapsed building. Komolafe had also called for the investigation and prosecution the two contractors who handled the collapsed structure, engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun, of HardRock Construction Company Limited, for “criminal negligence.” It would also be recalled that the Lagos State Government had set up the Inquest under the state Coroner’s System Law No.7 of 2007 to investigate the cause and circumstances resulting in the death of 116 people, mostly foreigners.
