how do you defined holiness? You cant meet the principle of Holiness as God ask you to, you want to interpret holiness for God, making decision for God.

In all religeon ,salvation is attain by human efort, but in christianity salvation is free,Romans 6:23." For the wages of sin is death, but the gift [free] of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christianity is God reaching out to man, abraham, issac, jacob, moses, david.this men are sherperd ,they were in the wilderness when God called them.

i do not say God dont answer prayer, world peace is not in the will of God,as long as evil are there,it will be difficult for world peace to come, if you start from john 14:11-12. Verse 11 say believe in God,do you believe in God? No,this choice you make will not bring peace in your family, your mum will not agree with your choice of abandon God,you will not agree with your mum choice of following God. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Pls go ask ur pastor about jesus word and paul statement the word is frm paul who know nothing about jesus
jeus did not openly say it i am God because that will be boastfull.the reason why the jews want to stone him is because he claim to be God.

John 8.
48 The Jews answered him, “Aren’t we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?” 49 “I am not possessed by a demon,” said Jesus, “but I honor my Father and you dishonor me. 50 I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge. 51 Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.” 52 At this they exclaimed, “Now we know that you are demon- possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that
whoever obeys your word will never taste death. 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do
you think you are?” 54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would
be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was
glad.” 57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” 58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

The quran called him the spirit and word of God,and the bible called him the son of God, what is the difference ?
Christianity Etc › Athiest Claim: If God Existed, Prayer Would Have Brought World Peace? by malvisguy212(op): 9:13pm On Nov 13, 2014
Atheists claim that the absence of world peace indicates that God does not exist, since it would be obvious that He would grant world peace in request to sincere prayers in this regard. Superficially, it would seem that world peace would be a good thing - something that one would expect to fall within the will of a good God.they say, since God called everything he created good, there has to be world peace,The next statement indicates that a perfect, loving God must create ä universe that is perfect. This is the statement that is false
and invalidates the argument. Nowhere does the Bible state that the universe was created to be perfect. God Himself called it "good" and "very good," but never "perfect."

The question is, dos God want world peace?.However surprising as it may seem, world peace is not part of the will of God. In fact, Jesus said that His coming would cause division instead
of peace:
"Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no,
but rather division; for from now on five members in one
household will be divided, three against two, and two against
three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against
father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother;
mother-in-law against daughter- in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." (Luke 12:51-53)

GOD WANTED YOU TO MAKE SPIRITUAL CHOICE.
God's main goal in creating the universe in which we live was not to
make a perfect place for people to live in. God's objective was to create
a temporary universe in which free will spiritual beings could make
spiritual choices. God's plan for the universe is to allow a large number of these spiritual beings (both angels and humans) to choose to spend eternity with Him. At the appointed time, God will call an end to the present universe and judge those who reject His invitation. That is the reason that we are here. We are to choose to love or oppose God. As Jesus said above, at least half of the people
will CHOOSE TO OPPOSE GOD AND TO OPPOSE THE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW HIM.

SPIRITUAL CHOICES CAUSED WORLD DIVISION:
Jesus said that the division between His followers and those who
oppose Him will widen as time goes on:
"Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you
will be hated by all nations on account of My name." (Matthew 24:9)
So, the reason why there is no world peace is because most people
have chosen to oppose God and do their own thing. Jesus said that
God will allow this unrighteousness to continue for quite a while,
then bring a quick end to the persecution of the righteous:
"For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred
since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall. And
unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been
saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be cut
short." (Matthew 24:21-22)
It is at this time that God will judge the world and the unrighteous.
Following this, God will destroy the universe and create a brand new one.

GOD'S CONCEPT OF PEACE:
Jesus, the Prince of Peace, did not come to give peace to the world,
but to give peace with God to the individual:
Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1) This peace comes through repentance. Unfortunately, many people do
not know what true repentance means. Here is Thayer's Greek
definition of the word translated "repent":
1. to change one’s mind, i.e. to
repent
2. to change one’s mind for
better, heartily to amend
with abhorrence of one’s
past sins.

So, repentance is not simply saying a prayer and going along with
one's own idea of what is right. It is believing God and responding in that belief. The Bible states quite emphatically that individuals come to repentance, which leads to salvation. Of the many verses in the Bible that refer to the will of God, they all refer to the will of God in the life of the individual, not in regard to any kind of global effort. The Bible makes it clear that the goal of God is peace with individuals, and the He desires that all people come to this peace: This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who
desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the
truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and
men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:3-5)

Choose God - don't go along with the crowd If you live to see the time of the end, remember what Jesus said. It will
seem that things are going quite well for unbelievers as the people of God are silenced by those who hate Him. When this occurs, there will be little time to choose to follow God and the choice will be difficult. However, it will be the only choice that will prevent you from being eternally separated from God and His home - heaven. Life is all about choices. God wants you to follow Jesus. I am not talking about becoming some right wing freak, just about following Jesus. Do the right thing!

I'm sick and tiredbof shooting down the same lies everyday. The most annoying thing about Nairaland is the way people just keep regurgitating the same nonsense over and over again no matter how often you correct them.

The reference to Jesus in Josephus is a crude and obvious forgery. This has been an established fact agreed by both Christian and secular historians for centuries.

The fact that all the evidence for he existence of your saviour amounts to one passing reference written 70 years after and one forgery should be a source of embarrassment to you people. Sadly some of you don't seem to have any shame.
there are many evidence that jesus christ exist, the link you post ,are done by the enemy of christianity.

Gaius Plinius Caecilius Secundus (AD 61-113), or Pliny the Younger, was
the governor of Bithynia (AD 112) and a Roman senator. He wrote to
emperor Trajan asking for guidance on how he should treat the
Christians in his province. Reference To Jesus Christ Christians were "meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light,
when they sang in alternate verse a hymn to Christ as to a god, and
bound themselves to a solemn oath, not to do wicked deeds, never
commit fraud, theft, adultery, not to lie nor to deny a trust.

Conclusion
This reference reveals several key things:
1) Jesus was worshipped as a god.
2) Christians met on a fixed day of the week.
3) The meeting occurred before sunrise.
4) They sang songs to Christ.
5) Christians were committed to holy behavior.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did The Jesus Christ Of The Bible Ever Exist? by malvisguy212: 6:21am On Nov 12, 2014
timmy2409:
Did The Jesus Christ Of The Bible Ever Exist?

All reliable evidence points to Jesus Christ being just a myth. There is no reliable evidence that Jesus even existed, and significant evidence that he didn't. The evidence is in the Bible, the other religions of the time, the lack of writings about Jesus by any historians of the 1st century, and the lack of writings about Jesus by anyone until a decade or more after his supposed life.

The story of Jesus can be shown to be just a myth created to fulfill prophesy, cobbled together out of stories from the Old Testament and previous gods and myths - created in the 40's and 50's by Paul (ne Saul of Tarsus) (who exhibited symptoms of epilepsy and had delusions of Christ talking to him), the other apostles, the unknown authors of the gospels in the 70's or later, and many other people. The reliable evidence for this is overwhelming.

Paul and the other epistle writers don't know any biographical details of Jesus' life, or even the time of his earthly existence. They don't refer to Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee, Calvary or Golgotha — or any pilgrimages to what should have been holy sites of Jesus' life. They also don't mention any miracles that Jesus was supposed to have worked, his virgin birth, his trial, the empty tomb, or his moral teachings. To them Jesus was largely a sky-god who existed in the spiritual past.

If Jesus had actually existed, Paul would have written about his life, disciples, teachings and miracles. Paul did not write about any of this. Paul even wrote (1 Cor. 1:22-23) that Jesus did no miracles. Paul wrote (in Rom. 16:25-26, Gal. 1:11,12) that he knew Jesus through revelation, which is another term for fantasy and delusions. We can also tell that people were accusing Paul of lying, because he attempted to defend himself in Rom. 3:5-8.

Paul also thought that Peter and James were other (competing) epistle writers. Paul wrote in Gal. 2:6 that the apostles in Jerusalem (including James and Cephas/Peter) added nothing to his message, and in Gal. 2:11 he opposed Cephas/Peter. Neither statement makes sense if they had known a real Jesus.

If Jesus had actually existed, the gospels would have been written in first person format. Instead, they were written (in Greek) in third person fiction format, often with the supposed thoughts of Jesus. The gospels should also have been original. Instead, Matthew and Luke extensively plagiarized from Mark. The gospels don't even claim to be eyewitness accounts. All we have are hearsay accounts.

If the Jesus story were true, his trial would have been legal. Instead, the purported trial was illegitimate under both Roman and Jewish law. The story of the trial is just a re-telling of the Jewish ritual of scapegoating, where one goat is set free (i.e. Barabbas, which means "son of the father" ) and one goat is sacrificed (i.e. Jesus). In addition, many scholars have pointed out that the entire crucifixion scene is created out of material extracted from the Psalms.

If Jesus Christ had actually existed, at least one of the approximately 30 local historians of the first century would have written about him. No historian of the first century (including Josephus and Philo of Alexandria) wrote about him or his disciples.

Therefore Jesus Christ did not exist.

The Jesus story also shows extensive similarities to other myths of the time (especially Horus, Mithra, Osiris, and Dionysus). For instance, baptism into the death and resurrection of Osiris washed away sins so the soul could obtain the best place in heaven. Some early Christians attributed these similarities to Satan who went back in time and created the religions that "copied" Christianity.

Jesus is worshiped on Sunday, like over a dozen sun gods whose birthdays were also on the old winter solstice of December 25, when the sun is “reborn.”

There were also over a dozen other deities and saviors who were resurrected (often after violent deaths). Christianity just told the story the best, and managed to get control of the government under Constantine. With control of the government, the ruling Christians were able to stomp out competing (heretical) versions of Christianity and enforce their doctrines.

Also check out this thread [https://www.nairaland.com/1814635/jesus-christ-original-photocopy] for some of the different myths the legend of Jesus Christ were copied from.
Author's
Background Flavius Josephus (AD 37-100),
was born into a priestly Jewish family.
He was a Pharisee and a historian for the Roman empire. He wrote
several famous works, among them are: Antiquities of the Jews and
the Wars of the Jews. Historians say Josephus was not a Christian. Reference To Jesus Christ Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise
man, if it be lawful to call
him a man. For he was a doer of surprising feats - a teacher of such
men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both
many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ; and
when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not
forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the
divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful
things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him,
are not extinct to this day.* - Flavius Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews
18.3.3 Josephus bears witness to John as having been a baptist, and as promising purification to those who underwent the rite. Now this
writer, although not believing in Jesus as the Christ, in seeking after the
cause of the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple,
whereas he ought to have said that the conspiracy against Jesus was
the cause of these calamities befalling the people, since they put to
death Christ, who was a prophet . . . - Origen, Origen Against Celsus 1.47, see footnote [1] Josephus, at least, has not hesitated to testify to
this in his writings,
where he says, ". . . For the Jews slew him, although he was a most just
man - Eusebius. Church History of Eusebius.
Conclusion:
This reference reveals several key things: 1) Jesus was known as a wise man and was highly
regarded.
2) Apparently Josephus is referring to Jesus' miracles.
3) Jesus was a teacher of truth for many Jews and Gentiles.
4) Jesus was killed on a cross by Pontius Pilate.
5) Jesus appeared alive the third day after being killed. 6) Predictions by the prophets came true in Christ.
7) Jesus is the Christ or Messiah.

Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or
mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a
hundredfold(in this life) AND will inherit eternal life(inherit eternal life for obedience of the gospel) .

And every one that hath forsaken houses :
In the days of Jesus, those
who followed him were obliged, generally, to forsake houses and
home, and to attend him.the disciples has family, but they forsake them and follow jesus.

For my name's sake :
From attachment to me. Mark adds, "and for the
gospel's;" that is, from obedience to the requirements of the gospel,
and love for the service of the gospel.

Shall receive a hundred-fold - Mark says "a hundred-fold now in this
time, houses, and brethren, and sisters," etc. A hundred-fold means a
hundred times as much. These are not promised as a part of the reward; but
amid their trials and persecutions they should find reward and peace.

Luke 18:29-30
And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more IN THIS TIME,
and in the age to come eternal life.”

Philippians 3:8
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of
all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
Luke 14:26
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother
and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own
life, he cannot be my disciple.
Mark 10:29-30
Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this
time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and
lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.
Matthew 16:25
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life
for my sake will find it.
1 Peter 4:14
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the
Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
Matthew 10:37-38
Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me,
and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of
me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy
of me.

you have NOT reply me .PEDOPHILIA WOMANIZER =SONG OF SOLOMON
MURDER SUICIDE BOMBER=1 SAMUEL 15
i dont understand your explanation,it dosent make sense, however, how do you defined womanizer? Muhammad married more than 13 wifes, even married the wife of his adopted son,had sex with slaves,is it not an acts of womanizer? Or do you have any other explanation for this?

Solomon is not a prophet, you cannot be a king and then be a prophet at the same time,
1 Kings 11:1-5
Solomon’s Wives
11 King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter—Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and
Hittites. 2 They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will
surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held
fast to them in love. 3 He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. 4 As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart
was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his
father had been. 5 He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 6 So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David
his father had done.

Solomon worship other god, but he later repent, God prophet dont do like this, when a prophet encounter the True God, does it make sens to you that he will abandon the God he here from, and go after other god? Nevertheless, solomon here from God,but because of the beautifull women he meet everyday,he was lead astray by them.a prophet dont put himself in a relationship with woman, bible say "a man born of women is full of trouble"

you did not explain anything, i dont even understand your point, the only explanation i got was when muhammad sanction the killing of a pregnant woman,What cruelty! What injustice! Muhammad approved the killing of a
pregnant mother and her unborn child just because the killer said that
she had insulted him (Muhammad). What an evil man. This ruthless
egotistic man claiming to be a prophet of God unjustly approved the
murder of a pregnant woman just because someone said she insulted
him. Will a true prophet of God condone the cold-blooded murder of a mother and her child? Does not the murder of an innocent child matter
to him? A double murder has been committed and Muhammad did not
even bother to investigate to ascertain whether this murderer was
lying to escape punishment.

Let us now see how Jesus responded under an even more serious act
of wrong committed against him. See how he reacted towards those
who came to arrest him, which summarily resulted in his death by
execution. Compare now the malicious hatred of Muhammad with the
contrasting quality of outstanding love displayed by Jesus. When a
great crowd with swords and clubs from the chief priests came to arrest Jesus, one of the disciples of Jesus tried to defend him. Let us
follow the narration of this account in the Bible:

Matthew 26:51: With that, one of the companions of Jesus drew out his sword and struck the slave of the high priest and took off his
ear.

How did Jesus react?

Matthew 26:52-53: Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword. Do you think that I cannot call on to my Father to supply me at this moment more than twelve legions of angels?

Jesus did not condone the violent action of his disciple just because it
was done to protect him. In fact, he rebuked the disciple for his rash
action. More than that, he lovingly healed the injured ear of the very
man who came with those who wanted to arrest him. Such is the love
of Jesus Christ. Think, how strongly Jesus would have reacted, if his
disciple had instead killed that man. If Jesus did not even approve the injuring of that man, would he condone the murdering of him? Never!
