INTRODUCTION
It is not the peripatetic "ministry" of Jesus, with all its healings, wise teachings and astounding miracles, that is the bedrock of the Christian religion. Rather, it is the extraordinary melodrama of his death and resurrection, sometimes expressed as the "promise of the cross" or in the pithy aphorism, "No Resurrection, No Christianity."

It is therefore, perhaps, quite shocking that the biblical statements that purport to support the reversal of the most certain of laws – that the dead stay dead – amounts, in toto, to less than 600 words. The "conquest of death", it would seem, rests upon the evidence of rather fewer words than the text of a McDonald's Happy Meal menu!

Sad to relate, but there are NO independent, corroborated, disinterested or contemporary accounts of the "resurrection" of Jesus Christ, although that claim is often made. The truth is that ALL that passes for testimony for the Risen Lord comes from the same storybook and a handful of unsubstantiated characters. Whilst it is almost certainly the case that in their original format the gospels circulated as distinct writings, they are in no sense independent testimonies. This is particularly the case with the passion and resurrection narratives, a motley collection of terse, hearsay reports derived from a common source and built into a common, confused and confusing, tradition.

The rational mind is aghast at the limitations, flaws and contradictions of the biblical sound-bites. Yet this is the bedrock of the Christian faith. For all the deficiency of the incredulous claims, those who want to believe will believe. It's called "faith."

MAIN TOPIC

Mark – a star witness?

"Faith rests on the historical testimony of those who saw and gave witness."

The post-mortem appearances to be found in Matthew, Luke and John, though each adding flourishes of their own, are all built on a core story accredited to a shadowy figure called "Mark".

Whoever "Mark " was, he was certainly no eye-witness to either the life or death of Jesus. Church tradition maintains that "Mark" – said to have been the erstwhile travelling companion of Paul – went to Rome and wrote down the testimony of Peter. But, on Mark's own evidence, Peter himself was NOT a witness to many of the events described in his own gospel, including the baptism of Jesus, the temptation of Jesus, the healing of the Phoenician woman's daughter, Jesus Christ's prayers in the garden of Gethsemane ( all possible witnesses were asleep!) and even the crucifixion itself:

" They all forsook him and fled. " – Mark 14:50.

Even supposing Peter was hanging around Golgotha, how could Peter know, for example, what the centurion said at the cross or Pilate's reaction to Joseph of Arimathea? We have to create multiple, unknown testimonies to keep Peter informed. As for the resurrection appearances, Peter could only rely on information from Mary Magdalen, or perhaps the other Mary or Salome. And yet the women themselves relied on the testimony of an angel – and said nothing!

Matthew, Luke and John copied from Mark, who heard from Peter, who heard from Mary , who heard from an angel .

How's THAT for "eye-witness" testimony?!

"Look – an empty tomb!"

"Every known Gospel of early times, alike in the great Church and in heretical circles, used St Mark as the leading authority for the history of the life of Jesus." – C. Turner, "The Gospel of Mark", A New Commentary on Holy Scripture, III. p46.

Mark's resurrection story begins with a rolled stone and an empty tomb (but even that idea wasn't original*). Early Christians were unhappy with the abrupt and enigmatic ending of Mark and set to work on improving the text.

" At least nine versions of the ending of Mark can be found among the 1,700 surviving ancient Greek manuscripts and early translations of the gospel." – Michael W. Holmes, Easter: Exploring the Resurrection of Jesus , (BAR, 2010)

WHY MOVE THE STONE AT ALL?
The "Rolled Stone" – a theatrical flourish

"On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." – John 20.19.

Although the gospels tell us that the resurrected Jesus appeared and disappeared at will, popping up and vanishing " in the midst of them ", it was still necessary to "b move the stone " for him to exit the tomb.

But why?

Why didn't Jesus Christ teleport out of the tomb leaving the stone in place? Now that would have been even more impressive!

The anomaly betrays the fabricated nature of the post- mortem appearances of the Christian godman. A god would not have needed to move the stone but the storyteller did! With the stone still in place who would have known something miraculous had happened?

A god that materializes in a closed room in Jerusalem, on the shore of Lake Tiberias, or on a mountain in Galilee, most certainly needed no stone moved to allow him to leave a tomb. But the narrator of a sacred play needed the "moved stone" as a theatrical flourish, in order that female visitors to the tomb (and the audience) could see "the body ... gone!"
We are talking theatre, not history.
The following Qur’anic verse records Jesus as saying:
Surah 19:33:
Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive! (Pickthall)
“There was peace on me the day I was born, and will be the day I die, and on the day I will be raised from the dead.” (A. Ali)

Muslim scholars, who believe that Jesus did not die, find themselves in
a dilemma at verses like the one provided above. Knowing that the
above testimony of Jesus in Surah 19:33 clearly proves that he died before his ascension to heaven, many Muslim apologists attempt to respond by saying that this is a future event. They try to explain away
this Qur’anic verse by saying that Jesus will die when he comes back
the second time and then be raised back to life. They say this with no
rhyme or reason except to evade an obvious contradiction in the
Qur’an. Well, what evidence do they provide to make such an
outrageous claim? None! But, this interpretation poses a problem for Muslim scholars because the very same phrase is also expressed just a
few verses earlier in the Qur’an regarding John the Baptist (Yahya). We
can read an almost identical passage about John the Baptist in Surah 19:15. Note the similarity in the wordings:
Surah 19:15: And peace on him on the day he was born, and on the day he dies, and on the day he is raised to life. (Shakir)

However, in the case of John the Baptist, Muslims scholars have no
trouble recognizing the fact that this verse is speaking about his
immediate death. And they also have no problem in understanding
that it is only after his death that he will be raised to life in Paradise on
the Day of Resurrection. The chronological sequence of event is clearly
understood and correctly applied here. Yet, in the case of Jesus, we find Muslims having Jesus ascending to God before dying. They deliberately distort and destroy the chronological sequence of the event, even
though the chronological sequence is identical in both cases. Muslim
scholars would rather make completely unsupportable arguments than
admit that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is taught in this
Qur’anic verse. Of course, their unwillingness to come in terms with the
truth is because they are aware that a correct interpretation of Surah 19:33 will lead to a contradiction of Surah 4:157. Either Jesus died or he did not. It cannot be both. Since the Qur’an teaches both, Allah has
left Muslims with little choice other than to deceive and manipulate a
verse that really needs no explanation.
If the interpretation of these Muslim scholars is correct, then Surah 19:33 should have Jesus saying: “Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I shall be raised alive and the day I shall die” in harmony with their claimed chronological sequence of events. But it
does not.

MY QUESTION.
We must ask these scholars, since Surah 19:33 and Surah 19:15 are identical in the sequence of events, why don’t they also shift the death
of John the Baptist to the future – after his resurrection – as they did in
the case of Jesus? Why the discrepancy?

In fact, there is not a single passage in the entire Qur’an that shows
that Jesus will return to die. Since the parallel statement in the case of
John shows that he died, clearly then, Jesus must also have died
accordingly. There is an interesting remark by the renowned Qur’an
translator, Yusuf Ali, in his footnote of Surah 19:33:

You have totally turn the discussion away from what its intended for. And its typical of you, its as always been what you do if you cant face the topic at hand.

My question was about sects i xtianity, and instead of you to face it, you keep runing around and bringing irrelevant examples and issues....and the end of the day you claim jesus prophecise the division. You claim jesus was not a ppeacemaker. is'nt it

Anybody reading your commentary to that verse will see how low your knowledge is. cus i wonder how it correlate with the verse

I never talked about evil and the world, my discuss here is all about sects in christianity, 41000sects, is the bible a book of confusion? So Jesus brought division of over 41000sects for you to choose the only right one of them? is'nt that what you are saying here?

Im not talking about islam and xtianity here, am talking about the over 41000sects of christianity, since each of them claim to be true sects then they cannot all be simulteneously true....dont you gerrit undecided

And your alleged word of God is full of ccontradictions and errancy and has lled over 41000sects to have different doctrines undecided undecided Smh

No

I dont believe him, but your claim was that jesus brought division is'nt it?

Then someone must be lying between you, paul and jesus

Again you are telling me here that God allegedly split xtianity to 41000sects in other for you to be searching for the 1 true secthuh

Really.

one can read this thread and see how you've been displaying your ignorance and tell who is a waste of time btw me and you.

You know i am not a gainsayer, i will always leave you when it is obviious that you cant comprehend my explanations
Why should i venture into a futilr argument when it is obvious that the person am argueing is a stiffnecked ignoramus undecided

grin grin LOL...a thread you bombarded with different topics that you are never stable on . will reply your thread when i av the time, even though none of you was able to addres my thread concerning the bedrock of you salvation, "analysis on the crucifixtion of jesus". Time will tell..
you called your self mr intelligent but you cant use the brain you claim to have.

What do you understand by freewill? Can you love God without freewill? Jesus say his teaching will cause division among family, isn't christianity family?let me explain to you for the last time.

Jesus say because of his teaching many will disagree, what dose this mean?this is were the root of division start, infact micah say the same thing in:
◄ Micah 7:6 ►
For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies are
the members of his own household.

Jesus was not talking about outsider, but He is talking about brethren between christianity.

You accuse me of lying. I CHALLENGE YOU TO QUOTE WERE I CONTRADICT THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST.if you cant ,then you are a lier and the father(satan) of it.

Even christianity has many set, you dont see christians killing one another , do you?

The thread title "the lying deity " was pointing to one discussion , did allah empower jesus to perform miracle ? No answer , because if you say yes, then you are automatically saying Allah lied.

Am still Waiting for the thread on sacrifice.

death of muhammad.

Sahih Muslim, Book 026, Number 5440:
Aisha reported that when Allah’s Messenger fell ill, he recited over his body Mu’awwidhatan and blew over him and when his sickness was aggravated I used to recite over him and rub him with his hand with the hope that it was more blessed.

Ibn Sa’d, page 263:
Verily during his illness the prophet recited “al- Mu’awwadhatayn” (Surah 113 and 114), and blow his breath upon his body while rubbing his face. (This was done in an effort to be healed).

However, Muhammad was not cured from the sickness that led to his
death. The incantation of Surah 113 and Surah 114 which supposedly cured him previously from the Jewish magic, failed to heal him now
from the Jewish poison. Perhaps for Allah, poison is far more potent
than magic.

“GABRIEL” PRAYED FOR HIS HEALING

Ibn Sa’d, page 265:
The apostle of Allah fell ill and he i.e. Gabriel, CHANTED on him, saying, “In the name of Allah I chant on to ward off from you every
thing that harms you and (to ward off you) against every envier
and from every evil eye and Allah will heal you.”

Ibn Sa’d, page 265:
Aisha, the wife of the prophet used to say, “When the apostle of Allah fell ill, Gabriel chanted on him saying, ‘In the name of Allah Who will cure you and Who will heal you from every malady and from the smite of the evil eye.’”

Let us analyze the prayers of this “Gabriel.” He stated very positively that Allah “will heal” the Prophet. He said, “In the name of Allah Who will cure you and Who will heal you from every malady.” Muhammad had every reason to believe, because it was this very same
“Gabriel” who brought the messages of the Qur’an from Allah to him.
Yet, the prayers of this spirit were not answered by Allah. So how
could this spirit be so sure that Allah “will cure” Muhammad when he actually did not? Can this “Gabriel” be trusted? Can the Qur’an, which
was transmitted through this same deceiving spirit, be trusted? If this
spirit lied about the outcome of the sickness, could he not have also
lied about the divine claim of the Qur’an? Are not these clues as to who
this spirit really is? Why did not Allah prevent “Gabriel” from delivering a false promise of
hope to Muhammad? If Allah could permit “Gabriel” to make a false
statement regarding a matter that concerns the life and death of his
Prophet, could he not have also permitted other false messages to be
transmitted to Muhammad? Can the other messages delivered by this
“Gabriel” be trustworthy? According to Islamic theology, “Gabriel” is the “Holy Spirit” (Ruh Al-Qudus). Can the “Holy Spirit” be wrong about the outcome of Muhammad’s illness? Obviously, at this point in time of his sickness, Muhammad wanted to
be healed. But as we can see, nothing worked. He initially prayed
fervently to Allah for recovery, but as it progressively got worse,
Muhammad realized that he was dying and he ceased praying for a
cure.

While Muhammad himself admitted that the effects of poison caused
his fatal illness and eventual death, there is an interesting incident
regarding the apostle Paul that is recorded in the Holy Bible. Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake, but Paul suffered no ill effects from the
bite. This was because God had his protective hand on Paul to finish
the work laid out for him.

Acts 28:1-6: “And when we had made it to safety, then we learned that the island was called Malta. And the foreign-speaking people
showed us extraordinary human kindness, for they kindled a fire
and received all of us helpfully because of the rain that was falling
and because of the cold. As Paul gathered an armful of sticks and was laying them on the fire, a poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, bit him on the hand. When the foreign-speaking people caught sight of the venomous creature hanging from his hand, they
began saying to one another: “Surely this man is a murderer, and
although he made it to safety from the sea, vindictive justice did
not permit him to keep on living.” However, he shook the venomous creature off into the fire and suffered no harm. But they were expecting he was going to swell up with inflammation or suddenly drop dead. After they waited for a long while and beheld nothing hurtful happen to him, they changed their mind and began saying he was a god.”

Then for what reason(s) did the bible say God created the world?

For what reason did the bible say "For God so love te world" ? If peace is not part of the will of God then for what reason(s) as he been sending prophets and messangers to humanity?

I ask you the other time that the mission of Jesus in this world is to cause division among humanity. is that what you are saying?

Remember jesus said blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God , tell me if Jesus didnt peace to the world how do you then reconcile with the verse @bolded? Don't you think atall.

Satan's greatest weapon is deception, which causes disunity and division are you affirming here that that was the mission of Jesus?

See what Jesus said about division
Luke 11:17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined , and a house divided against itself will fall .

Division causes ruin, it causes a family to fall, now tell me is this what jesus brought?

Dayuuummm....is'nt there evil in the world?

Really! grin grin

Everyone has knowledge, just that yours is very low talking about the religion you profess

Islam is a religion same as christianity
You shouldnt use religion as an example, we are talking about sects of christianity here. Your claim was that Jesus brought division to christianity that was why we have over 41000sects. so clearyour mess please.

Here is another verse.
Mat 18:18 "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

The ^^verse above was saying if you are not bind on earth you will be loosed in heaven. is'nt it?:

I already clear this ^^ with Luke 11:17, the verse also talk about family....try again undecided

@bolded .. Even paul was begging you not to divide

1Cor 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

With over 41000sects do you all agree with one anotherhuh?

Dayuuummm....You don't read your bible thouroughly do you?
God creatd this world and called it "good" there is no verse in the bible that claim this world is perfect, world peace is not among the will of God,dose this mean we should do evil? How do you muslims reason? The purpose of we living in this world, is for us to love God and live in harmony with one another, without evil man will never express true love for God and to your fellow human, bible encourage us to make peace yes, BUT BIBLE NEVER SAY GOD WILL REMOVED EVILS COMPLETLY ON THIS WORLD

Luke 11:17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined , and a house divided against itself will fall .
Yes, thank you for quoting this verse, it is not the will of God for man to be divided among our self, but for the decision we make,it will happen, everybody is alow to make his choice, freewill.

You miss my point, evil is alow in this world for man to chose to love or opposed God.https://www.nairaland.com/1995965/athiest-claim-god-existed-prayer

christianity is not the same as islam, they are difference, the quran can never be the word of God with all the fail prophecey and the lies in it.

1Cor 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
So you believe in paul now? Good, i repeat!! It is not the will of God for mankind to be divided, but for the sake of evil and freewill, man is alow to chose what he believe.

discussing religion with you it a wast of time, because no one has ever answer your question, you chose what to reply, you could'nt reply my thread "lying diety" .

Well let's see, I might have read it wrong. So you say "the holy spirit came upon Mary.......and the power overshadowed her" in laymans terms she became pregnant, that is to say, "up the duff" now, I could be wrong, but I seem to recall Mary actually gave BIRTH to Jesus, i.e the "stork didn't bring him".

Now, if Mary gave birth to Jesus.....and you all claim Jesus is God......doesn't it then follow that Mary gave birth to God.....?

And no, I am not Muslim.
yes,she gave birth to jesus, there is no other word fit in than this word "birth", a man born of the spirit of God, what do you called that man? What is the difference between you and your spirit? Are they not the same?

Since you affirm that Jesus said all this word, then you automatically affirm that jesus is troublemaker who came to bring chaos and comfusion to humanity, only satan goes into a family where peace has beeen reigning and go into their midst to cause confusion. Do you even know the meaning of DIVISION?

DIVISION surely turn to hatred, just take a look at the former PDP before the G5 governors left them, everything was smooth but immidietly division occured between them, the hatred is well known to everyone of us.

Same way your alleged division you claimed jesus talked about makes every sects of xtianity to hate one another.

In a nutshell, you affirmed that the mission of Jesus in this world is to cause division among hamanity.

Then Jesus must have been an enemy of unity, because no one will pray for such family.

"Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division."

Do we have 5sects of xtianity in the whole world?

Following Christ in many countries carries a significant price to pay in many places of the world. In fact, the decision to become a Christian often results in being ostracized from one's family and even worse. Even within some Christian traditions, the decision to leave the tradition of one's family to join another tradition is met with exclusion from the family. Jesus told His disciples before His death that the world will, in fact, hate them: “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who
sent Me. John 15:18-21 So, there is division and that decision does arise out of one's decision to follow Christ, but the prophecy was that the world would hate
Christians--not that Christians would hate the world (the people of the world). So, no, the passage should not be deleted. There are millions of Christians who have experienced the hatred of one's own family upon their decision to follow Christ. These verses predicted that.

All this lengthy irrelevant post is still talking about hating xtians, tell me, all the 41000 sects believe they are all xtians, are you telling me that they all hate themselves, Do you hate yourself, Do you hate your father or your siblings?
world peace is not among the will of God, because if evil is alow because of freewill, world peace will not happen, some people will disagree with the decision you make.

You claim you have knowledge but your way of thinking is something else, example, is'nt muhammad the prophet of islam? If a christian want to convert to islam because of the teaching of muhammad and the father disagree with the decision of the child, because of muhammad there is disunty in the family, how can you reconcile this with a muslim want to convert to a christian?

When i say 5 sect, is an example i use ,this verse talk about the division in christianity because it start with the word"family".

The fact that Stephen supposedly made that statement cannot serve as proof that Jesus is God. The Christians have got it badly wrong;

The book of John opens with the famous declaration, "in the beginning was the word......."
The Greek term translated "word" is Logos. In its proper Greek context it signifies the outward form of inward thought or reason, or the spoken word illustrative of thought, wisdom and doctrine.

John is teaching that in the very beginning, God's purpose, wisdom or revelation had been in evidence. It was "with God" in that it came from him; it "was God" in that it represented him to mankind [a similar expression is used by Jesus in Matthew 26:28: "This is my blood" i.e this represents my blood]. This Word, Wisdom or Doctrine found its reality, its substance, its confirmation in the person of Jesus.

The person did not exist before the birth of the child Jesus, but the promise and wisdom of God always existed.

In John 1:4 it is fully acknowledged that "word" is personified as Jesus, but "personification" is a common early Jewish writing mechanism and occurs severally throughout the bible. The trinity, much like the pre-existence of Jesus has no legs to stand on.
jesus was a good and faithful person,if someone take him for someone else, he would have correct him.Not only did Jesus claim the attributes of God, but He even accepted
the title "God." Thomas, the ever-skeptical disciple, was unconvinced
that Jesus had risen from the dead and wanted to see direct proof.
However, when the Lord Jesus appeared to him, his only reaction was
"My Lord and my God!"
Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said
to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are
they who did not see, and yet believed." (John 20:28-29)
What was Jesus' reaction to the title of God? Did Jesus rebuke him for
calling Him "God"? No! In fact, Jesus praised Thomas for his belief. And
the belief that Thomas exhibited was that Jesus was Lord and God. If
Jesus were not God, accepting such a statement for truth would be a
grievous sin. Either Jesus is God or He would have to be a sinner!

jesus make a claim that only God can do yet the people wanted to stone him, imerging jesus say it openly that he is God, what do you think will happen.?

The word "Trinity" does not appear anywhere in the Bible. For this
reason, many people think that it is a false doctrine, created by the early church leaders. However, the word "gravity" is also not used anywhere in the Bible, although the concept is illustrated throughout.

U don't av anything to say, u don't av proof word is just coming frm ur mouth quran never say in that verse that it is d last sign
Surah 17:59: “And We refrain from sending the Signs, only because the
men of former generations treated them as false: We sent the she-
camel to the Thamud to open their eyes, but they treated her
wrongfully: We only send the Signs by way of terror (and warning from evil).” (Yusuf Ali)
As we can see, the word “Sign” in this verse denotes the visible and
clearly observable miracle of Allah. The Sign or Miracle that Allah sent
in this specific instant was a she-camel that was visible to the people
of Thamud. The miracle was sent to open their eyes but they treated
the she-camel wrongly and killed her. After this incident, Allah decided not to send any more miracles in the future. What can we conclude by
the above words of Allah in Surah 17:59?
1. It shows that Allah has “stopped sending miracles.” This means that
long before the coming of Muhammad, Allah has decided to stop
sending miracles. Hence, if the Qur’an is true, then Muhammad could
not have performed any miracle. Therefore, whenever Muslims proudly claim that their Prophet performed many miracles, they are at the
same instant admitting that Allah lied in Surah 17:59.
2. It specifies Allah’s reason for not sending miracles. This verse states
that Allah found it pointless to perform miracles “because the men of
former generations treated them as false.” In other words, Allah has
stopped sending miracles because people in the past did not believe in them.
3. It shows in which period of time Allah made a decision to stop
sending miracles.
More than twenty Qur’anic passages show that whenever Muhammad
was asked by his contemporaries to perform a single miracle, he either
remained silent or said that he could not do so because he was no more than just an ordinary human being. The most explicit of these
passages is in
Surah 17:90-93:
They said, “We will not believe you unless you cause a spring to
gush out of the ground. “Or unless you own a garden of date palms
and grapes, with rivers running through it. “Or unless you cause masses from the sky, as you claimed, to fall on us. Or unless you
bring GOD and the angels before our eyes. “Or unless you own a
luxurious mansion, or unless you climb into the sky. Even if you do
climb, we will not believe unless you bring a book that we can
read.” Say, “Glory be to my Lord. AM I ANY MORE THAN A HUMAN
MESSENGER?” (Khalifa)

John 3:16 reads: " God (YHWH;JHVH,JEHOVAH) Sent his only begotten son ( Jesus) .." !! Scripture neva said God sent another part of him But He sent his only begoten son , for more clarification, lets see another scripture where the same greek word for only begotten son is used!! In heb 11:17 we read " Abraham attempted to offer up his only begotten son" ! Is isaac the same person called Abraham ?? ... Is Isaac Equal with Abraham?? The answers are clear and direct ! It simply shows d relationship btw Abraham and his only begotten son, Isaac !!! Christ differentiate himself from the Almighty God saying " exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me" john 14:1 !!! The apostle paul clarifies it again sayin " I Charge u before God and Christ Jesus and the chosen angels" 1tim 5:21 ! That clarifies God the supreme being From Christ Jesus the only begotten son and from the chosen angels !!! " for us there is one God, the Father " 1cor 8:5,6 thats d person Jesus also called "father in heaven"mat6:9
Jesus claimed to have many of the attributes that God alone possesses.
Jesus claimed to have sent the prophets:
"Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and
scribes;some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you
will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city,
(Matthew 23:34)

However, the Old Testament indicates that God sent the prophets.16 Therefore, Jesus was claiming the authority that was previously
reserved only for God.

Jesus claimed that His origins are from heaven, whereas men are from the world:
"And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from
heaven, even the Son of Man. (John 3:13) And He was saying to them,
"You are from below, I am from above;
you are of this world, I am not of this world. (John 8:23)

Not only did Jesus claim to come from heaven, but He said that it was "my kingdom" Isn't heaven God's kingdom?
that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will
sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Luke 22:30)
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom
were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might
not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this
realm." (John 18:36

Jesus claimed to have existed before He was born in Bethlehem:
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I
am!" At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself,
slipping away from the temple grounds. (John 8:58-59)
The claim included the term "I am" - a reference God made of Himself when talking to Moses. The Jews immediately recognized that Jesus was claiming to be God and attempted to stone Him.

Jesus also claimed to have existed "before the world began":

"And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had
with you before the world began." (John 17:5) This statement is an obvious claim to deity.
Not only did Jesus claim to
exist before the creation of the universe, but He claimed to share the
glory of God! Jesus also claimed that He had "all authority... in heaven and on earth" and that everything of God was His.

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been
given to Me in heaven and on earth." (Matthew 28:18) Jesus claimed to be the supreme judge who will exercise all judgment. However, there are at least 50 verses in the Bible that claim that Jehovah God will judge the earth (see Who Will Judge Mankind?). Jesus claimed to be the one to separate the "sheep from the goats".

Matthew 11:19

19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

The above passage is jesus trying to justify his lack of self-control when it comes to eating and drinking. It is a well established fact that jesus couldn't do without alcohol. There are many passages in the bible attesting to this. He even brought his own strong drink to a wedding. When he knew we was going to be arrested and probably killed for saying nonsense, he tried to institute a ministry of drunkenness by asking his disciples to always drink in his remembrance.

There are many things we don't know about jesus one of which is how he gets money to buy all this wine as he was jobless and homeless.
God's idea of the best wine is stated clearly for us in Isaiah 25:6 "And in this mountain The Lord of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees"

Luke 12:51-53: Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but
division. From now on there will be five in one family divided
against each other, three against two and two against three. They
will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother
against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law
against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in- law.

The verse say, "five in one family" five (sect) in one famil(christianity) jesus begin with this "Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but
division."

Following Christ in many countries carries a significant price to pay in
many places of the world. In fact, the decision to become a Christian
often results in being ostracized from one's family and even worse. Even within some Christian traditions, the decision to leave the
tradition of one's family to join another tradition is met with exclusion
from the family. Jesus told His disciples before His death that the world will, in fact, hate
them: “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of
the world, because of this the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If
they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do
to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who
sent Me. John 15:18-21 So, there is division and that decision does arise out of one's decision to
follow Christ, but the prophecy was that the world would hate
Christians--not that Christians would hate the world (the people of the
world). So, no, the passage should not be deleted. There are millions of
Christians who have experienced the hatred of one's own family upon
their decision to follow Christ. These verses predicted that.

From my findings, thallus was a samaritan freedman of emperor tiberius who wrote a history of greece and asia, and mentioned an eclipse of the sun. In 221 CE, a christian writer, sextus julius africanus notes that
"Thallus, in

Thallus does not refer to a "jesus", only to an eclipse, which christians have used to bolster their mythical story.

So your claim of a "supernatural" event is just an eclipse of the sun....

because the mere fact that a person gave his life to Christ or now have salvation will not stop the law from taking its course, the punishment for murder is a death sentence irrespective of whether you have salvation or not, unless you are saying the free gift of God and mercies comes to that person after he must have been hung, this is mercy after death.

@kay17.
Worldviews and moral choices:
Three recently published studies show that worldview beliefs influence
moral behavior. The first study showed that atheists were less likely to consider certain moral choices as being "very important" , especially patience, forgiveness, and generosity. A second study
showed that teens who were not exposed to religious teaching were
significantly more likely to be involved in negative behaviors than those who attend church. A third study showed that belief in the atheistic concept of determinism is correlated with an increased tendency to cheat. Even a short reading of a passage denying free will produced more cheating behavior among randomly-selected subject
groups. These studies show that the promotion and prevalence of
atheism in society can be expected to result in negative consequences
to societies.

This is laughable.

Christianity can not be true as a result of the above, because there is no such requirement for a true religion.

Buddhism identifies the fundamental problem with human existence as Suffering, it makes a genuine attempt to banish human suffering. A careful thought reveals that even Hell, and all punishments are part and a parcel of Suffering. The fear of death, the fear of the unknown, the fear of one's neighbours, fear of one's Gods are all part of suffering.

Each religion is unique and each builds it own 'universe' with its own premises. In conclusion, it is a futile exercise to search for the true religion.
maby youu dont understand my point here, in religions salvation is attained by human effort, example if you Good deed surpass your bad deed God will have mercy on you, this is differs from the moral law. But in christianity, it is the free gift of God,your must genuely repent to deserv the gift of God in christ jesus.

The life after death that i believe in, is that your legacy continue to keep your name alive if not a man's journey ends at death.

I have had a personal encounter with the God of the universe and i can assure you that, God is unreligious.
that is your own assumption, there are many testimony of life after death,it is the fear of hell and you want to defined your life after death to suit your belief.

What is the nature of this god of the universe? Is there any punishment for not obeying his command?the truth is that you want to invent god in your imagination to suit your belief system.

The God of Christianity is differs from the gods of the world's
religions in terms of His nature and existence. Most of the religions of
the world describe their god as existing within the universe. In many
cases, these gods even have parents. Both of these attributes are
logically inconsistent with the reality of our universe. Only a God who
is transcendent to both space and time, like the God of the Bible, is logically possible.

Author's Background About A.D. 52, Thallus wrote a history about the Middle East from the
time of the Trojan War to the first century A.D.[1] The work has been
lost and the only record we have of his writings is through Julius
Africanus (AD 221). Below Julius Africanus refers to Christ's crucifixion
and the darkness that covered the earth prior to his death. Reference To Jesus Christ "On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other
districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus, in the 263 third
book of his History, calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse
of the sun. For the Hebrews celebrate the passover on the 14th day
according to the moon, and the passion of our Savior fails on the day
before the passover [see Phlegon]; but an eclipse of the sun takes place only when the moon comes under the sun. And it cannot happen at
any other time but in the interval between the first day of the new
moon and the last of the old, that is, at their junction: how then should
an eclipse be supposed to happen when the moon is almost
diametrically opposite the sun?" - Julius Africanus, Chronography, 18.1
Conclusion
This reference reveals several key things:
1) Darkness covered the earth at Christ's death.
2) The key question was: "What caused it?"
3) The time of the darkness agrees with Matthew 27:45. 4) An eclipse cannot account for the darkness - this was a miracle.
