Chocs:
Hello Mamalva,

1 year master’s programs are not very common.

But check this out

https://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/programs/Healthandsafety.php

Please also think of ways that your previous degree and/or work experience is related to the course, for visa purposes.

All the best

Good afternoon to everyone in this great group . I am looking for a one year masters programme in a health related field . I got a 2.1 , my cgpa was 3.50 in human physiology for my first degree. Your advice will be duly appreciated. Thank you .

Thank you very much .

JustMellow:
Hello MamaIva,

This may not fly except you want to claim that the said person is a very close family member. It should be a cosponsorship application rather than a sole sponsorship from a third party taking age, work experience, the available funds into consideration. Also note that as a single parent, you have to demonstrate how the wellbeing of your child will be cater for both financially and socio-culturally except you want to claim the child will be under the financial responsibility of the father or your parents. There again, it will be only right if you can demonstrate they are financially stable and an undertsking to this agreement.

All the best

[ quote author=MamaIva post=94409537]Good evening all , I wanted to ask about the best way to apply for my student permit . A brief summary about me .

My bsc was in the medical field, so i am going for Occupational health, welness and safety. Its a one year PGC
I am a single parent and I have a 4 years old that wouldn't be accompanying me .

The main issue I have is my proof of finance ,I have about 6 million naira in my savings account , I started to gather this sum by June this year. The sponsor I want to use is a family friend ,she is not in any way related to me . How can I make this fly ,that is using a 3rd party sponsor . Please this has been a burden to me ,as I dont know how to go around it. Thank you all[/quote]

Does your sponsor have thesame surname with you ?

Luckymama:
I Used the same SOP. The issue with my first application was my proof of sponsorship. My sponsor is a business man. He attached his personal account and his business account. From the GCMS notes I saw that the VO doubted that the sponsor was in control of the business account (even though his name was in the CAC document as director).

2. What I did differently: my sponsor paid my first year tuition. Then he got a letter from his bank showing that he and his wife alone are the sole signatories to the business account. He also transferred the amount sufficient for 1 year upkeep into my account though I also had some funds there. Then he wrote a letter of sponsorship explaining all that he did and why. (He is a relative and a partner in the business I intend to come back and continue to run after completing the program.)

LEARNING POINT: If you have to use a business account, get a letter from the bank showing the signatories to the account.

Thank you . I was already becoming worried. Its well.

librangyps:
You can use her.
Someone used a man he has not even met before and got AIP and medical request so forget all these plenty rules and regulations.

Let her refer to you as her nephew or niece while you refer to her as your Aunt.
Tidy other parts of your application and que sera sera
