The management of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKUTECH) is calling on all interested prospective students to apply for
the ongoing post UTME registration for admission into her newly approved courses.

The university who just received a license from the National University Commission (NUC) to run courses in Arts, Management Science and Education is pleased to invite all jamb candidates even those who did not put them in their school choice.

This is to inform you that the US State Department Web site for the 2014 Diversity Visa program (DV-2014) is now open. The entry submission period for DV-2014 is from 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 2, 2012 to 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on November 3, 2012. Theentry form will only be available for submission during this period and this period only. Entries will NOT be accepted through the U.S. Postal Service.

This is to inform the general public especially the Zikites, that the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, has postponed her resumption date of
the 2012/13 Academic Session to 29 October 2012, no longer 22.

This information was confirmed before publishing.

At the time of filing this report, the reason behind the postponement was attributed to the NUC's increment of admission quota of the university.

Zikites are advised to use this extra one week to prepare, because when the school eventually resume, it will be rush hour as usual.

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 dedicated for the purpose of development, promotion and implementation of petroleum technology and manpower development through research and training of Nigerians as graduates, professionals, technicians and craftsmen in the fields of engineering, geology, geosciences, management, economics and relevant fields in the petroleum and solid minerals industry in Nigeria or abroad.

Our mission is to train Nigerians to qualify as graduates, professionals, technicians and craftsmen in the field of engineering, geology, science and management in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria or abroad. We have a vision to serve not only as a vessel for the development of indigenous manpower and technology transfer/acquisition in the petroleum industry but also to make Nigeria a human resource centre for the West African sub-region.
