some of the Yorubas on here are not very smart sha, Ajayi Crowther was a slave returnee from Sierra-Leone and on his return to Nigeria he did some missionary works in some parts of Igboland where he met several Igbos that helped him in his missionary outreach, most of those Igbos that met Bishop Ajayi were new converts and were already educated from their early contacts with the Europeans as well... so essentially they acted as guides and translators for him and ultimately helped him translate the biblical texts into Igbo- of course history will give Bishop Ajayi Crowther the credit for "translating the Bible into Igbo" without acknowledging the efforts of his Igbo guides and Co-authors because at the time Bishop Ajayi Crowther was probably the most influential person of the Christian faith considering his story ... It's simply inconceivable that anyone with a brain would think a non-Igbo speaker who barely just learned the Igbo language would single-handedly translate a whole biblical volume into Igbo... Haba! make una take am easy with the fabrications! even the most accomplished linguist on earth would still have needed help from the core indigenous speakers considering how languages have their dialectical variations, complex structures and meanings...
