SoftSport: Clout chaser!
It's quite misleading to claim that someone earning a salary between 300k and 500k is poor.
Such statements seem designed to sensationalize issues and undermine the government's efforts.
While we acknowledge the economic challenges, a salary in that range can indeed provide a decent standard of living in Lagos or elsewhere in Nigeria.
It's essential to recognize the nuances of financial stability rather than reduce it to simplistic notions of wealth and poverty.
with the current inflation rate, anyone in that salary scale is poor. |

Thunder 🔥 Tinubu blame not the people who voted and supported him Blame Tinubu himself. Each passing day, I keep asking myself, what exactly is the president trying to achieve with his policies? When the price of fuel was 600, people took to the streets to cry and protest. I expected a good leader to reflect on this and make amends. Unfortunately, the worst happened, the price rose to 1100, this is almost an additional 50% increase. This is not leadership. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Came To Office Without A Plan — Obasanjo (Video) by Mandate1: 10:31pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
Thrasher2024: let me educate you on the meaning of how to plan. You removed subsidy. What measures did you put in place before you removed it? If T-pain had a plan he would have at least put some measures in place to curtail they effects on the masses before announcing it's removal. You don't just do something without planning for it. Its just like saying I want to visit Canada. Will you just teleport to Canada. You need to plan for the trip, get your visa, arrange for accomodation, get money for expenses etc. T-pain just made announcement without planning for it. That's why his administration became a disaster from day 1.
Secondly he floated naira. What plans did you make for contingency? You just banked on a foolish experiment knowing fully well that there were other measures in place to strengthen the naira. Emeiefele had plans and put measures in place but because of your stupid overated egotistical behavior, you cancelled all his policies and without thinking put your own policy in place!. Oga that's not how to plan.
Thirdly he approved LG autonomy, that one is not planning it's a case that has been debated on before T-pain assumed office. And it was decided on by the supreme court.
Fourtly you talked about deregulating the downstream sector, actually the downstream sector had been deregulated before T-pain assumed office, and if he has a serious plan why is there no minister for petroleum?
I can go on and on but to summarize what I wrote up there. Tinubu has no plan he is just practicing Trial and error government just like his predecessor to see which one actually favors him the only difference is just that his own is worse. Buhari was doing trial and error, that's basically what all plans are. But he's different from Tinubu because he had the final goal which is "the people mustn't suffer". Tinubu differs because he cares less if the people are dying. |

There is a very tiny line between being ungrateful and yielding to godfatherism, I don't pity Fubara at all, he knew exactly what he was signing up for, if someone single-handedly brought you out of nowhere and make you the governor of River state, the person owns you now, be it Nigeria or America, that person simply owns you, that's why in America, they make it very hard for any single individual to have absolute influence on an election result..

Politics › Re: How Buhari Reversed Nigeria’s 16- Year Economic Gains, By World Bank by Mandate1: 10:34pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
UltraSolid: Rubbish. I never said what you claimed above. Tinubu of course engaged in politics of self-interest. He is ambitious and wanted to be President. It is only if you are a child you will not accept politicians plan and strategize worldwide. Therefore nothing wrong with Tinubu supporting Buhari in hope of benefiting politically later.
Yet, like most APC chieftain, he expected Buhari to work with APC leaders for the benefit of Nigeria. Tinubu is progressive and has led Lagos to greatness. If you want to deny reality then you can pretend such a leader would support Buhari fully aware he would be a disaster.
Or, if a reasonable person, you'd accept Tinubu, given his antecedent, believed Buhari would lead well as most of us who supported Buhari believed. No bigger proof of Tinubu's good intention than how Buhari froze him out and shunned BAT.
In so far as Tinubu cannot read minds then he cannot be blamed for the actions of Buhari same as those of us who supported Buhari, as we were democratically allowed to do, cannot be held responsible for his failings as President.
Nigerians love senseless blame game because most are hypocritical and personally dishonest. They must always find something or someone to blame for their shortcomings or failings . Otherwise it should be clear to all reasonable folks that Buhari is to blame for the failings of Buhari. Not Tinubu, not me nor the millions who voted Buhari to power.
A sensible person should knows and respects the principles of democracy to accept fundamentally that every fit adult has the right to vote and be voted for. It is therefore very stupid what Nigerians do daily cursing Tinubu for "bringing Buhari" and insulting their fellow Nigerians who voted Buhari as if we should all be executed for democratic choices we are fully entitled to make. It is childish and retarded. Same as Igbos, the hypocrites who gave Obi 95% of their votes, always attacking "ronus" and "Yerooba Muslim" for voting Tinubu as if people are no longer free to exercise their democratic choice.
I don't see others doing similar worldwide. They simply vote in and vote out government. They don't begin an unending witch hunt against others because of how they cast their votes. This is why I view most Nigerians as immature. You cannot even democratically and maturely accept the will of the majority yet you all lie daily you want good governance. how you guys choose to blame Buhari and exonerate Tinubu baffles sane minds. How's Tinubu better than Buhari? So if you're to assess both, you'll rate Tinubu's near two years as better than Buhari's 8yrs? Buhari who lacked the guts to remove subsidy just not to increase the suffering of the average Nigerian, you're comparing to Tinubu. Buhari's govt is by far ahead of what Tinubu is offering Nigerians. He's condemning Buhari, but same Tunuo has borrowed severally from world bank in less than 2yrs. Pls tell this sermon to the dogs. |
Politics › Re: How Buhari Reversed Nigeria’s 16- Year Economic Gains, By World Bank by Mandate1: 10:21pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
IjeBos: Some of what Tinubu is doing isn't necessarily wrong for the long term health of Nigeria. The problem is in the speed of the enactment of those policies and in so not understanding people will suffer in the interim. It's a callous disregard for the average Nigerian who is suffering.
There could have been a balance and a larger focus on alleviating some of the suffering.
We needed someone focused more on carrying out good policy at a whole of society level. Obi would have been the better option in that election. He would have done similar things but probably at a different pace with more of a focus on getting a good balance.
Sometimes people need to be hit in the face hard to see certain truths. Hopefully in a few years people would have learned their lesson. Nigeria is a mess. I fear for the country. this is what the govt is telling you. The govt who says there's no money sponsored hajj for 90bn. How do you explain there's no money with such wastage? No money, yet the president discarded the cars used by his predecessor, a car buhari just acquired. Abeg leave talk. |

Namaster: I HATE cultists!
Cultists are COWARDS who hide behind weapons and other COWARDS to carry out attacks they are too CHICKEN to carry out themselves.
The COWARDS will gather 10-20 of themselves to attack 1 or 2 rivals or INTIMIDATE a "jew" and go back to their lair to hail themselves as STRONG MEN.
Cowards!
I COMPLETELY support cultists killing cultists. When cultists SLAUGHTER cultists, the world is all the better for it.
It's the death of INNOCENT people that is disheartening.
Some of the dead and injured people in this clash had NOTHING to do with cultism.
Yet they were MURDERED and MAIMED in such a gruesome manner.
Which brings me to my original point:
I HATE cultists! na why person need avoid some gatherings, especially when people of questionable character are among them. It's certain more than half of those killed won't be cultists. |
